Fight for Love!
19th Fight: He Deserved It
"Do you know that you've a body which can make any boy go crazy? I think Natsume-san thinks so too..."
I blinked. This had to be some kind of joke. Yes, it had to be and I would not want to fall for the same thing twice.
"Koko-chan, do you have an upcoming play as well?" I asked.
Koko quickly removed his hands from my arm and stared blankly at me.
"Huh?"
I giggled and continued, "The lines you've said were not bad. You nearly got me there! Well done!"
This time, he seemed totally lost about what I was saying. His jaw dropped as he continued to gawk at me. Did I say something wrong? I didn't think so though.
"Hey, what are you talking about?" he sounded a little annoyed.
"Well, aren't you rehearsing your lines as well? You've done well, I guess," I replied and patted his back.
"Wait... this is not what I meant."
"Don't worry. Ruka-senpai also rehearsed his lines to me. His acting was so real that I really thought he disliked the idea of me talking about Natsume-senpai," I reassured with a laugh. "Hey Koko..."
"Kitsuneme was right when he said that you're stupid," he interjected and shook his head hopelessly. "I guess both Natsume-san and Ruka-san think so too."
My mouth twitched and I bellowed, "What's that supposed to mean, Koko-chan?"
He turned to look at me and dragged his words with a smirk, "You're stupid. Stu-pid."
Stupid? Me? Did I say something wrong? Argh! I just did not get him at all!
"Mi-chan, you'll support me in the tournament, right?" Koko spoke again after he was done laughing at my so-called stupidity.
Grumpily, I crossed my arms and pouted, refusing to reply him.
"Hey Mi..."
"Don't call me Mi-chan," I mumbled.
Ignoring what I had said, Koko hastily brushed it off and continued in a serious tone which startled me all of a sudden, "I'll be waiting for you there."
My head jolted upwards and I stared at him with wide eyes. What was with him all of a sudden? Not only did his words has sent chills down my spine, the seriousness he portrayed on his face did too. Koko... I had never seen him this serious before. He always joked around, except for the scary fact that he had nearly chewed off my ears during our first meeting.
"I'll win and fight for you..." He leaned in again, allowing his warm breath to brush against my ear, and whispered into it. "I'll beat the person who called you flat-chested boxer."
My eyes widened and just when I was about to turn and look at him in shock, a hand suddenly appeared between us and without any warning, my head was violently pushed away.
"Too close."
That voice sounded horribly familiar. I groaned and rubbed my head. Who the hell had hit my head so hard? If I wasn't strong enough, my head would have hit against the wooden bar next to me!
"Hey! What was that for?" I yelled and looked up only to find myself staring at the person whom I suddenly did not wish to see.
It was Natsume.
I had been curious as to why he treated me so coldly since he had gone to my house and I wanted to ask him about it somehow, but right then, I did not wish to see him. I really did not want him to see me like that...
... with Koko.
I shook my head to shake those unwanted strange ideas off my head and cleared my throat.
"Natsume-senpai..."
Before I could say anymore, the raven-haired boy caught hold of my arm, forcefully dragged me up and pulled me away from Koko. Koko looked stunned and confused as he saw me being dragged away by Natsume.
"Mi-chan..." Koko's voice died down, probably because Natsume was dragging me away a little too fast.
After dragging me for quite a distance where I had no idea where I was, he finally let go of my arm and walked ahead of me without saying anything. I could feel that he was still angry with me. Maybe I should apologise for that funny nickname I had given him and the torn belt.
"What are you doing with him?" Natsume stopped walking and suddenly spoke, snapping out of my thoughts. "Being all intimate and close. You're going out with him, aren't you?"
Upon hearing that, I frowned and retorted, "You're wrong! Koko-chan and I are just..."
"As if I care," he bellowed and started walking again. "It's your fault."
"Huh?"
What was he saying? My fault? What had I done wrong again? Was talking to Koko a wrong thing to do? So what he was his rival? It was not like Koko could get any information out of me. My mouth would remain sealed for the sake of Special Club, not for some arrogant jerk. Besides, I did not even know much about him either.
He ignored me and continued walking ahead. Angrily, I stomped forward and pulled his bag towards me. Still looking at the front, his arm brushed my hand away swiftly, just as what I had expected from a Black Belter, and he glared at me.
"If you hadn't picked me up that day..."
Okay, I got it. He had been saying this over and over again. I guessed being kind to this guy was worthless after all.
"That's right!" I blurted nonchalantly. "I should've left you alone and let you die in the rain! Well, as if I care about you too! What an ungrateful brat!"
Natsume glared harder at me but I decided to shoot him with all of my unhappiness from my heart. I really hate this day. Truly.
"I don't want to talk to you anymore. This is what you want, right?" I added with a sarcastic smile. "Well done for making my day even better, Natsume Hyuuga."
I turned around and then walked away quickly. Deep inside me, I felt really bad for lashing out at him but he deserved it. Wait... I was the one who made him angry and I was supposed to apologise. What if he won't talk to me anymore? Argh! I shouldn't feel regret at the time like this!
Natsume deserved it!
He deserved it...
Unknowingly, my tears welled up in my eyes. For the longest time, I had this strange feeling in my chest, hurting and numbing me as a voice rang inside my head.
"Aoi!"
That name again? Who was that person? Seriously, Natsume's call for that person really affecting me. I should avoid him no matter what. His words and actions always affected me in many ways. This was indeed bad.
As I wiped my tears using my sleeves, I slowly dragged my feet back home. I wished Hotaru could find the culprit who had posted the picture in the Internet soon. Please God...

I will be on hiatus for a period of time due to some reasons and will update the second part next year, somewhere around March. I'm sorry for this. Wish you all an early Merry Christmas! :)
