Author's Note: Its the end of my Spring Break and I am back! I am touched by how much love this story has been getting as of late. So much so that I could not wait for Summer to update. Enjoy the chapter, more to follow!
I do not own anything!
"Kidnapped!? Are you sure? Did you see who did it?" Jazz asked, panicking.
"Yea, I did, I was almost kidnapped too. We were walking around out of the gift shop with Court's purchases when two pirates grabbed us. They made it seem like they were cast members, they even mentioned you, Jazz. We went with them behind the cast member only door and then they threw bags over our heads and were tying us up. The second pirate tied Courtney's legs first but the one tying me up had made the mistake of binding my hands first. I was able to surprise him with a kick to the gut and I grabbed his sword with my bound hands. I quickly cut the ropes and went to free Courtney. I jabbed at the pirates arm and he dropped her, then I cut her ropes and we made it out the door when the Courtney was grabbed again. I tried to free her but I wound up accidentally cutting off a piece of her shirt and slitting her arm. I knew that I was no match for them so I ran back here" Bridgette explained through her tears.
"Then that settles it, we have to go back into "Pirates of the Caribbean" after closing" Duncan announced, already anticipating the reaction.
"I agree it's the only way to get her back" Gwen agreed, knowing that there was no other way.
"Unfortunately" Trent agreed, uneasy.
"Which pirate audio animatronics were they, Bridge?" Geoff asked, rubbing her back
"One was wearing a red&white striped hat with a mustard yellow long-sleeved shirt, light green trousers, blue&white striped socks, and black shoes. He also wore an orange cravat and a red sash around his waist. The other one was wearing a red hat, grey long-sleeved shirt, red pants, and no shoes or socks" Bridgette described, still crying a little.
"I know which pirates they are. Last Friday, I would have called you all crazy and started interviewing cast members who worked the ride. Today, however, I know that you guys are not crazy. There is something dangerous going on and I want to put a stop to it. I am not allowed to give you guys any information but I will allow you to help. First things first, we need to find Courtney. Do any of you have a plan?" Jazz questioned.
"Yeah actually, I do. I have a couple of buddies that I could bribe for information" Duncan informed her.
"I would think that it would be best to talk to her kidnappers, no?" Jazz asked, unsure of Duncan's idea.
"Uh no, it would be best to stay away from them, they would probably kill us without hesitation. I met a couple of pirates, one was thin with an eye patch and his friend was heavy-set. They told me to find them by the burning village scene" Duncan explained. "One problem though, they are expecting me to bring a crew -"
"A crew? What for?" Gwen asked, curious.
"If you'd let me finish" the punk glared at her. "Anyway to get them to leave me alone, I agreed to bring a crew of "modern-day pirates" or punks as I would call them, to the pirate ride and we would fight them. Not to the death or anything, at least I don't think so" Duncan finished.
"Courtney's right, you are an idiot. Looks like I am coming with you, considering I am the closest one of us to punk" Gwen sighed, pissed at the punk.
"You're not punk, Gwen, don't do this" Trent argued, wanting to keep her safe.
"I am goth and that is close enough. If you are so worried Trent, then you can also come" Gwen replied, both touched and annoyed at her love interest.
"That sounds fine, Duncan, I am going to go backstage. I will have Courtney's purchases transferred to her mother's office and then I am going to watch the cameras in the security room. I want all of you to stay in the Main Street Emporium until the park closes. Once the park is officially shut down for the night I will escort Duncan and Gwen into the attraction. Danny will stay the rest of you in his office" Jazz instructed, leaving the group for the time being.
"Seriously Gwen, why?" asked Trent, concerned for her safety. The pair walked toward a display covered in a vast assortment of Mickey Ears. Gwen picked up a pair of pink pirate ears and put them on.
"Because I have seen enough slasher flicks to not be intimidated by those robotic freaks. Besides, put an eye-patch and a few piercings on me and I will blend right in" Gwen joked, trying to lighten the mood and ease Trent's fears.
"Please, please be safe. Stay by Duncan and do not let your guard down, also -" Trent started to give Gwen some safety tips, she laughed cutting him off.
"Thanks for caring so much, I promise I'll be safe. Duncan and I will get the info from his "buddies" and then we'll make our way back as soon as possible. No worries. But if it bothers you that much, you can come along" she smiled, blushing a little.
"You mentioned that earlier, and I was going to accept but I do not think that I look punk at all" the shaggy haired teen replied, dejected.
"That's no problem at all. I am sure that Jazzlyn can take you to where they do the costumes and make-up. All you have to do is gel your hair into a mohawk or spikes or anything else intimidating. Maybe they even have some fake pirate piercings that you can borrow" Gwen took off the pink pirate ears and then held his hand for a moment.
"Great idea, consider me coming" Trent turned away, embarrassed by the blush that started to creep up his cheeks.
A couple of hours later, Jazz and Danny made their way to the Main Street Emporium to meet up with the teenagers.
"Okay everyone, this is Danny Griffins, my boss and good friend. While I take Duncan and Gwen to Pirates, Danny will bring the rest of you to his office" Jazz introduced and instructed.
"Hello everyone, I am sorry for what has happened to you all lately. I wish I could reveal more information to you but for your safety, I cannot" Danny greeted the group, grief flooding his body as he wished to tell them more.
"Okay guys, ready?" Jazz asked, excited for an adventure.
"As I'll ever be" Gwen sighed, not happy about returning to that attraction.
"Lets just get this over with" Duncan added, he also not happy about going back to said attraction.
"I am coming too as long as I can use some hair gel to give myself a punk look" Trent informed the female cast member.
"That should not be a problem" Jazz replied as she led her small group into a utilidor entrance located by the registers nearest the toy section.
"The rest of you, follow me. We are going to use the utilidor entrance by the haberdashery" Danny said as he left the emporium.
Jazz led the three teens through the utilidors and after a few minutes, she stopped in front of a red door marked "Wardrobe Department".
"This is a private area, so please wait here" Jazz instructed. She went into the room for a few minutes and came back with a blue bottle. "Okay I could not find any hair gel, but I did find a bottle of the stuff that is used on face character wigs. I think its safe to use on real hair, at least it should be" she explained, handing Trent the blue bottle.
"Uh, thanks man" Trent replied, squeezing some of the product out of the bottle.
"I also found a faux gold pirate earring in a box labeled "parade accessories", it should complete your look. Just don't lose it" she added, handing him the small earring once he finished using the wig gel. He handed the gel back to Jazz and Duncan started to laugh.
"Trent, dude, that is the wimpiest mohawk that I have ever seen. Give me the gel, I am not going to have this poser shame the name of punks everywhere" Duncan took the gel from Jazz and began fixing Trent's hair.
"My hair wasn't that bad, was it Gwen?" he asked, giving her puppy eyes.
She sighed, "no was not all that bad".
"There, now you look badass" Duncan handed the bottle back to Jazz and then took a step back to admire his work.
Jazz went behind the door again to return the bottle and was back in less than a minute.
"We are going to go into the attraction through the back seeing as though the duo that you plan to meet up with are at the ride's last scene. Also, there is a certain someone in the treasure room scene who can be of help to us" Jazz smirked, blushing a little.
"Jack Sparrow?" Gwen questioned, not in the mood to trust any of the pirates.
"Yes!" Jazz squealed, "when I found out about certain secrets from my boss, I went exploring during my nightly rounds and I met him! He actually talked to me first, he told me that he was sorry about the incident that occurred in the attraction. He said that he had no idea that they were planning it and would gladly point names and give fingers. Something like that, anyway, he's super friendly and quite charming" she gushed.
"You don't say, Jazzlyn" Gwen replied, still suspicious.
"You don't have to call me by my full name, Jazz is fine" she added as they passed by a door labeled "Tiki Room Entrance". "Nearly there" she announced.
"Sounds like you have a crush on that robot" Duncan joked.
"He is not a robot, he is an audio animatronic and I do not have a crush on him!" Jazz insisted.
"I agree with Duncan, you do have a crush" Trent laughed.
"Err, shut it, we're here" Jazz thrusted the door open and they all entered a room that they recognized as the Pirates unloading dock. "Be careful not to break anything and please try not to fall into the water" Jazz warned as they started to walk into the attraction.
"No promises" Duncan jested.
"Hey Jack!" Jazz called as they turned the corner.
"Oi, what be the problem dear miss?" he answered, leaving his throne and walking down to the group.
"Oh shit" Gwen muttered under her breath.
Trent put his arm around her as to protect her from the pirate.
"Jazz Sánchez, it certainly is lovely to see you. May I ask the reason for this spontaneous little visit?" Jack asked, kissing her hand.
Jazz blushed "Do I even need a reason to visit the most fearsome pirate of the seven seas?" she joked.
"Yuck" Gwen stated, sticking her tounge out.
Duncan and Trent were trying to stifle their laughter at the scene but were unsuccessful.
"You're quite right, fair lady" Jack replied, smirking.
"Well actually, I do have a reason. My friends" she gestured to the three teens behind her "need answers".
"Ah, you brought a crew with you. Would you lot care to join me in an adventure across the seven seas?" Jack asked since he can't sail the Black Pearl alone.
"Not today, we are in the middle of a search for another one of our crew members. A feisty but pretty brunette with a stick up her ass, have you seen her? " Duncan asked, getting eye rolls from Gwen and Jazz.
"Ah, and you must be the first mate. I haven't seen your crew member but if by chance I do see her, I'll let Captain Jazz now straightaway. Savvy?" Jack replied, studying the man in front of him.
"The name's Duncan Hawkes and yeah, I am her first mate. Thanks for not being a help" Duncan replied while walking further into the attraction.
"I am so sorry about Duncan's rudeness, he is kinda likes the girl that we are trying to find. He is just rushing" Gwen apologized.
"It's no problem young miss, he reminds me of man that I used to fight with. Went by the name of William Turner" Jack explained.
"Gwen, Trent, Jazz, let's go!" Duncan called back, his patience wearing thin.
"Looks like we have to go" Gwen said flatly, annoyed by Duncan's pushiness.
"Can I have your names before we part so that I may greet properly you if we are so lucky to have our paths cross again?" Jack asked.
"I'm Guenevere Ravensin and this is Trent Carinossa" she introduced, making up pirate names for she and Trent, just like what Duncan had done for himself.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Guenevere and Trent, best of luck to you" Jack bid them farewell, walked back to his throne, picked up an expensive looking bottle of rum, and took a swig of it.
"I am going to wait here for them" Jazz replied, as she watched her friends disappear further into the attraction.
"Marvelous idea, fair captain" Jack smirked.
As Duncan walked into the burning scene, he felt chills go up his spine as he recalled what happened the last time he was there.
"Ye back fer that battle?" the chubby pirate walked up to Duncan, he reeked of machine oil and alcohol. His thinner friend was right behind him.
"Sorry, not today gentlemen. I am here strictly to gather information on one of my missing friends" Duncan explained.
"We want our battle!" the thin pirate whined.
"Yeah and we won't give you any information until we gets it!" the chubby pirate barked.
"You'll talk or you'll die" Gwen and Trent came up behind the pair, swords in hand.
"Ah, so ye did bring yer crew" the chubby pirate grinned dangerously.
Gwen pressed her sword into his neck and he took his shotgun out of his belt. He fired one round into the air and Gwen released the sword.
"Is there a problem here mates?" a familiar voice asked from behind Duncan.
"Sparrow get outta here!" the thin pirate barked.
"We need information and they won't talk. They are acting like babies over a dumb battle" Trent explained.
"Oi mates, if you all don't tell my new chums what they are just dying to know, I will personally tell Barbossa that you are the ones who stole his expensive apple rum, savvy?" Jack warned, knowing that they would be intimidated.
"We didn't steal it!" the thin pirate rebutted.
"Yeah, I know, I did. I also need a clever way to wash my hands of said apple rum theft. So give them answers or I will put you at Barbossa's mercy. I ain't lying, mates" Jack warned, fully intending to do so anyway as he wanted to avoid trouble.
"How are ye going ta prove it?" the chubby pirate replied smugly.
Jack tore the ring off the portly pirate's finger and whacked the wooden eye out of the thin pirate's skull. He then put the eye in the bottle and the ring around the neck of the bottle.
"Fine we'll talk, but we don't know much" the thin pirate spat while putting his eye-patch back on.
"Now that's more like it. I'll stay here just to be sure you two don't cause these few anymore trouble" Jack walked off to the side and joined Jazz where she was sitting down.
"We heard some pirates near the auction talking about a kidnapping. They brought her here first but were then instructed to bring her to some creepy place near water. That's all we know, I swear" the chubby pirate explained before walking away with his thin friend close behind him.
The five walked out of the burning scene and back to the treasure room scene where they parted ways with Jack. The now group of four went back into the utilidors and did not stop until they came to an official looking door with Danny's name and position on it. Jazz knocked and Danny welcomed the group into his incredibly large office/private meeting room.
"It's so good to see that you are all safe. The attraction is still in good order too, I trust?" Danny asked, sitting down in his special chair.
"Yes, the attraction is fine. Courtney was there but she has been moved to another attraction" Jazz replied.
"Which attraction?" asked Bridgette, both curious and anxious.
"The pirates that we talked to said that they overheard that she had been moved to a creepy place near water" Duncan explained.
"That's so obvious, it's The Haunted Mansion, it has to be" Noah added, sure of himself.
"Nuh uh, it could be Tower of Terror, Mount Everest, or Norway" Katie rebutted.
"Oh please do explain" Noah egged her on, curious.
"Tower of Terror is next to the Fantasmic pond, Mount Everest is neighbors with the river rapids attraction, and Norway has that creepy stave thingy plus it faces the Iluminations lake" she explained.
"Katie's right, Noah, those are all viable options" DJ agreed with the pig-tailed brunette.
"Dudes, the mountain is so far away plus it is not that creepy" Geoff pointed out.
"The yeti is creepy though!" Katie argued, crossing her arms.
"That yeti is broken, girl" Leshawna added.
"Doesn't matter, it's still creepy" Katie pouted.
"Well, lets rule that one out for now. Norway too, seeing as though the Stave Church is too small to hide someone in" Jazz mediated.
"Since we are in the Magic Kingdom, lets check The Haunted Mansion first" Gwen suggested.
"I agree" Trent gave her a small smile to which she smiled back.
Jazz looked at Danny who nodded at her and then she also agreed.
"So then its settled, we're going into The Haunted Mansion" Duncan stated meeting everyone's eyes. As he looked around the room, he could tell that everyone was thinking the same thing: 'Are we going to become the mansion's newest residents or are we going to make it out alive?'
Author's Note: I can not tell you how many versions this chapter went through. I have been so excited to getting to the upcoming material that this chapter annoyed me at first. In my original plans for the story, the next chapter was supposed to be chapter nine and I had thought that I was pushing the chapter too far ahead. I wanted to combine this chapter and the next chapter, but I could not because the next chapter should stand on its own. I admit to rushing this chapter and I am sorry. I promise you'll love the next chapter though! I hope everyone has enjoyed the chapter and I absolutely cannot wait to continue in May! -Rose
I cannot express how grateful for all the love you have given to this story. As my way of saying thanks, I am going to give you a sneak peek!
"Dude, why are we the only ones going in there again?" Geoff asked as he and Duncan approached the mansion.
"Because the others, minus Gwen, are babies and because you wanted to keep Bridgette safe" Duncan replied, annoyed.
"Oh r-right" Geoff mumbled, slightly nervous.
"Wait, you're not scared are you?" Duncan asked, snickering.
"N-no, of course not" Geoff paled as they started their walk up the attraction's grounds.
"Arrou!" wailed the attraction's old exterior sound effect.
Geoff grabbed Duncan's arm and Duncan burst into a fit of laugher.
"Coward!" Duncan managed to say in between laughs.
Geoff hung his head in shame and the two made their way into the attraction.
