Has anyone heard about the new Ninjago movie coming in 2016? I can't wait! Now I also heard it isn't following the plot from Masters of Spinjitzu, but maybe that's okay. Maybe now Jay and Nya will be together like they were ALWAYS MEANT TO BE! Lego! What is wrong with you?!
We now take you back to you're usual story line.
13. An Advancing War
Lucas walked out onto the upper decks with Echo. He smiled when he saw Zoey already awake. He walked over and said, "Did you sleep well?"
Zoey jumped a little but nodded.
Zane came out onto the upper decks, his hand on his head. Lucas sighed. Every Friday Zane seemed to have a headache that even Sensei couldn't figure out.
"Another headache?" Lucas questioned, keeping his voice soft so it didn't make it worse.
Zane nodded.
Lucas looked to Zoey and swore he saw a flash of relief wash over her before it was replaced with concern. "I'm starting to worry a little."
"It's fine, Zoe, nothing to worry about," Zane assured her.
"Lucas, can I go play in the sand?" Echo asked, pulling on her brother's arm.
Lucas nodded. "Don't go too far."
Echo smiled and took off.
Kai ran out onto the upper decks. "Why didn't anyone wake me up?" he asked, looking at where the sun was.
"Kai, your voice," Zoey said. "My brother has a headache."
"And it isn't like you have to be up at sunrise," Lucas said. "That is unless my uncle decides to train you and it'll only be Mondays and Wednesdays. He should be training you though since you're the Ninja of Fire."
"I am?"
"He is?"
"What?"
Lucas frowned at the three. "You didn't know? My uncle told us last night."
"I think I'd remember that!" Kai exclaimed.
"Kai."
"Sorry, Zane."
"That's one elemental ninja down," Zoey sighed, "and I believe I know the other. He was here last night. The boy with the red-brown hair."
"Jay," Lucas mumbled, "the Ninja of…"
"The weapon he had were nunchucks."
"Lightning," Lucas finished.
"We need to find him," Zane said, "but how?"
"First we will find the nunchucks."
Everyone turned to Sensei.
"Then we find the rest of the ninja."
Lloyd ran over to his sister. "Alex! Come play a video game with me!" he begged. "Please! Please! Please!"
Alex sighed as she turned to him. "Lloyd, I'm busy."
"You're always busy!" he pouted.
Alex looked down. "Fine what game?"
"Call of Heroes!" he said, holding up the game.
Alex took it from him. "Lloyd! This is rated M! You know Mother wouldn't like this."
"I can play it if you're with me," Lloyd said.
Alex crossed her arms. "Is that the only reason you asked?"
Lloyd opened his mouth, but then closed it. "Well," he said, his voice sounding small, "I heard you last night. That we were going to lose Dad and then that you were leaving. I just want to spend time with you before you go."
"Lloyd…"
The young prince suddenly perked up. "Take me with!"
"I can't," Alex said.
"But–"
"You have a bigger job," Alex told him, kneeling down to his height.
"Really?"
Alex nodded. "You have to stay here and protect Mom and Dad. Protect Mom from Dad and protect Dad from the darkness. Do you think you can do that?"
"What's wrong with the darkness? It's giving Dad power isn't it?" Lloyd questioned.
Alex shook her head. "It's dangerous and only you can protect him from it. You're more of what our father wanted than Lucas and I could ever be."
Lloyd sniffed. "Really?"
Alex nodded and pulled him into a hug. "I'm gonna miss you, but we both have a mission we must do. I promise that I'll be back one day, with Lucas."
Lloyd couldn't help but let a few tears slip. "Okay, and I promise to keep Daddy here. So we don't lose him."
Alex pulled away and put her hand on her brother's head, messing up his hair. "Good. Now I gotta go." She stuck her hand out.
Lloyd smiled and slapped her hand with his, going back and hitting it again. He went towards her hand, but instead of hitting it, he grabbed it. Alex smiled at him for a moment before letting go and running to her room. Lloyd looked down, his smiled faded. "Please don't forget me," he whispered. "Not like Uncle did."
"Rick! Answer the door!" Joesph yelled from the kitchen.
"I'm busy!" Rick snapped, walking right by the door.
There was another knock at the door.
"Rick! You just passed the door! What's wrong with you?" Nicholas snapped.
"I am trying to read!" Wilson said loudly.
"I hate living in a place so small. My parent's trailer seems bigger," Jay mumbled.
"Seven people, one hut," Cole told him. "We can't risk going back to–" There was another loud knock at the door. "Somebody answer that!"
There was arguing and Ryan felt something bubble up inside him. "Quiet!" he yelled. Everyone stopped and looked to him. "Can't we just have one breakfast without screaming? Holy cow you guys are annoying!" He marched over to the door and opened it.
"Uh…" Alex stared at Ryan for a moment.
Ryan smiled. "Alex! You're early! Come on in, we were just having a nice peaceful breakfast."
"It's six o'clock in the evening."
"Well, we're up at night so naturally we need sleep during the day," Ryan said. "We're like…uh…"
"Bats," Jay suggested.
"Cats," Joesph argued.
"Hats!" Rick said, just to get a few chuckles from the others, which didn't work.
"I'd say we're more like raccoons. We stalk, hunt, and plot at night. We sleep during the day but if you spot us, we've got rabies," Wilson said. "Plus, it seems cooler."
Ryan chuckled. "Right, raccoons."
Jay snorted. "Rabies."
That caused everyone but Alex to laugh. "Right, there's a reason why I'm here and it's not to hear unfunny jokes," she said, getting everyone's attention. "I can't stay in the castle anymore. My father isn't the man he use to be…he's worse."
"Because of the sword," Cole guessed.
"Unfunny?" Jay mumbled.
"Alex, we'd let you stay but it's chaos," Rick said, "and not the good kind."
"Plus, you're kind of a girl," Ryan added.
Alex turned her gaze to the ceiling. "Wow, you just turned my whole life upside down. All this time, I didn't realize that I was a girl," she said sarcastically.
Everyone started laughing. Jay tried to stop himself but obviously it didn't work. Ryan tried to keep himself from blushing, but he was embarrassed. "I didn't mean it like that, Princess" he said.
"I know what you meant," Alex said with a smile, "and no worry. If you don't have any room, I'll go live with my uncle. Just know that's where I'll be if you need me." She turned and adjusted her bag. Then she looked back to Ryan. "When are you going to stop calling me that?"
Ryan shrugged. "I'm not sure I know what you mean. Are you refurrung to me callig you Princess?"
"I'm pretty sure that's what I said," Alex nodded.
"Oh, well, I'm not sure I can, Princess," Ryan smirked. "I can't let you forget your roots."
Alex's face twisted as she seemed to attempt to figure out what Ryan was saying.
"Alex, we're not meeting tonight," Cole said. "Unless you want to try and find those nunchucks."
Alex looked to Cole. "I'm going to my uncle's first. If he has an idea, then we'll go," she said. There was a moment of hesitation. "He hid the weapons, but only the ninja of its element can find them. It sounds complicated but–"
"Ryan!"
Everyone turned to Echo as she ran over. She glanced at Alex briefly, as if her being there didn't matter in the least bit.
"What is it, Echo?" Ryan asked concernedly, walking over andkneeling to the young girl.
"The serpentine attacked us," she said, obviously trying not to break into tears. "Rattla was with them. He's the reason I escaped but my dad…"
Alex dropped down next to her. "Why would the serpentine attack unprovoked, and why would they take my uncle?"
Echo looked down. "The leader announced something. I remember he was the Hypnobrai leader so I couldn't see what he was doing, but he said that it was orders of the king. That a new treaty was formed. That the rebellion…they must be destroyed."
"What?" Nicholas breathed.
"We have to stop them," Rick insisted.
"You want us to fight serpentine?" Jay questioned. "Haven't you heard the legends?"
"Those are highly exaggerated," Wilson said. "They were made that way so the warriors, the suposively strongest men in Ninjago, were given more credit than they deserved. When in reality, the people with the brains solved the crisis by giving the serpentine a chance to surrender."
"He'ssss right," a voice hissed. "Though mosssst of the legend is as it sayssss. The serpentine are fierce and dangeroussss."
