I DO NOT OWN Balto NOR DO I OWN Alpha and Omega

A Story on how a spirit became strong, how a Omega became an alpha, how those words does not effect Love, a story on how Lilly became Aniu, Balto's mother, hurt, death and eventually life.

"what?" Lily stopped looking towards her lower back, she saw a red dark 'oh crap'

Lily stumbled around shaking her head to stay awake.

Trying to keep her eyes open as her body fell to the ground.

Blurry peach colour with some red and brown, all seemed to mix together as she closed her eyes.

~The next morning~

Lily felt herself come to. Shaking her head, she yawned and stretched. Blinking she saw a dull silver. Soon her vision cleared. She was in a cage. She could feel herself starting to get scared, shaking her head again. She remembered her fathe-Winston telling her 'don't show fear' It would only bring the attacker closer. Observing around her, she wasn't the only one caught. There were also other wolves, coyotes, dogs, and foxes. Laying down, she kept quiet, twitching her ears as she could hear something, no someone.

"Come on boy" a males voice could be heard, as the huge doors opened. "Towards the barn guys!"

"woof! woof!" Four husky dogs ran into

"Woah easy, down boys" the man laughed petting them one by one "Oh looks like Aniu Amarok is awake, the white wolf"

Lily watched the human interact with the dogs. This wasn't the first time she was caught by a human, doubt it would be the last. Lily couldn't help but watch this human. He grabbed some empty dishes from under the closed cabinets. Filling the bowls with food. He placed the bowl on the ground for the brown Husky. Feeling her ear twitch she tilted her head to the left in confusion. The human soon grabbed more bowls and started to fill it with meat and another with water. That's when she saw the human push both dishes to another wolf in another cage. There was a small opening on the bottom for a dish to be slid in.

"Kitok" the man slid the food and water in her cage and turned towards the brown husky.

"Woof" Kitok sat down

"Watch over them" the man rubbed Kitok's head

"Woof woof" Kitok replied

"good boy"

Lily looked at the food, and smelt it, licking it she decided to try her chances. Slowly she ate the piece of meat. Once she was done. Watching the man leave with three of the dogs, leaving the brown husky, known as Kitok in the barn, as soon as they left, the human male had closed the barn doors. Silently Lily licked the water, hearing a noise. Her ears perked up seeing the brown husky sitting down across from her cage.

"Can I help you?" Lily asked

"Well how about your name?" Kitok asked laying down

"You heard your master, it is Aniu" Lily laid down closing her eyes. She couldn't help but admit this could be a new start. Aniu, that will be her new name.

"You are an amazing creature" Kitok smiled at her "You're fur is as white as the snow Aniu"

"You are pretty interesting yourself" Aniu turned her head away from him "Never seen a wolf before?" She licked her paw, feeling a slight ache of pain in her side.

"There are others here as well" Kitok chuckled "Never a white one, no"

Lily picked her head up and looked around seeing other wolves laying in their cages.

"I guess you are right" Aniu yawned placing her head on her paws

"Besides, your eyes are also different" Kitok felt her gaze return to him "I have never seen such a pieeaqnaqtuq eyes such as your own"

"Pieeagnaq- I'm sorry i don't follow" Aniu had a confused face, tilting her head to the right.

"I'm sorry, it means Pretty" Kitok smiled at her

"Oh" Lily gave a small smile towards the dog "Thank you, to be fair this is the first time I've seen a brown husky, thanks for the welcoming"

"No problem Aniu" Her new name rolled off of his tongue, making it sound just perfect.

Perking her ears up as she hears a half breed bark at Kitok.

"Let me out Boris!" The black dog growled showing her teeth at the brown husky.

"My name isn't Boris" Kitok yawned " and for the last time, not going to happen"

"This is going to be a long night" Aniu yawned

"Hang on I'll get you out" a fox said bumping into the cage trying to get free, and save his mate

"Fox" Aniu barked making everyone look at her "What good will it do to injure yourself trying to get yourself out?"

"My mate is scared wolf" He hissed

"I can see that, but what good will it do, if your grand exit ends up with one of you leaving" Aniu licked her paw "Why do you think Kitok, the husky is in here?" Aniu sat up pointing at Kitok with her one paw. "Little fox, you won't break the bars, You want your mate to be free, yet you are willing yourself to get injured" Aniu stopped "What would you be able to do, when you are out? You won't be able to run, if your shoulder is broken"

"huh?" the fox scratched his head

"She's got a point" Kitok smirked "I'm here to make sure all of you stay in your cages, you get out its fair game"

"oh" the fox replied sitting down "great"

"Thanks" Kitok smiled at Aniu

"Don't thank me" Aniu yawned laying back down, she looked up at the roof.

She rested her head on her paws and closed her eyes, dreaming about the cold winds, the warm looking grass, the wolves playing within the fields, the cloudless sky, she blinked and the grass was on fire, the sky was filled with dark ugly looking clouds, the wolves were laying there dead. She looked around then saw Garth, and Kate eating her fathe-Winston.

She woke up terrified. Trying to stand up, she felt pain under her.

"ugh" Aniu fell to her side

Kitok woke up, looking towards her raising his eyebrow "What is wrong"

"My side" Aniu knew she wasn't able to lick it. Keeping her breathing the same, she remembered the bear attack that almost killed Kate, If lily didn't jump in the way. "oh yeah" Aniu whispered

"You're bleeding Aniu" Kitok frowned "Come closer, I'll clean your wound"

"A dog cleaning a wolfs wound" one of the wolves chuckled

"Aniu" Kitok looked at the white wolf

"Okay" Aniu slowly stood up moving closer to the edge of the cage, feeling Kitok's tongue clean her wound. Kitok stopped and saw the wound. First a nightmare and then blood. His master probably forgot to check her for wounds. He sits up and stretches his ears. Aniu's ears twitched, getting up and going back to where she was. She laid down, resting. The barn doors opened and slammed shut. The human was back.
