I'm sorry I know it's been a while, I don't even remember when I last updated! And karma's a bitch because I'm stuck home with the stomach flu this weekend. Anyway I hope you like this chapter, please leave a review at the end!

Hotch was the first to enter the bullpen and immediately went to his office. Pausing at the door, he turned and watched the rest of his team as they filed in. He had sent JJ home immediately once they landed, but upon seeing how tired his team was and how much pain Prentiss was in, Hotch made an announcement.

"I'm gonna request a week or two off of active case rotation. We need time to recuperate and deal with all the paperwork from the last few cases." Said Hotch before entering his office.

"Which means we get to go home relatively on time today" said Morgan.

"Think again, look at all those files!" said Emily, pointing at the mountain of files at least three feet high on each desk. Morgan groaned and shuffled off to the kitchen.

"I need coffee" he said as he went.

"Get me some too please!" shouted Emily after him.

"And me" added Reid as he readily sat down and began his paperwork.

"You actually do enjoy paperwork? I thought Morgan was kidding!" said Emily in amazement.

"It's very calming" said Reid distractedly. Emily shook her head and sat down at her desk, grudgingly pulling the top file from her pile and opening it up. A few minutes later Morgan came by with the coffees. After placing one on each desk he headed to his own office. Seeing the pile on his desk, he groaned again and looked at the clock before buckling down to start the six hours of paperwork hell ahead of him.

At five o'clock on the dot, Morgan stood up, grabbed his coat and exited is office. Walking out into the bullpen he saw Emily get up too, but Reid was still engrossed in his paperwork. Morgan was confused to see that his pile hadn't really shrunk but Emily's had. Looking at her questioningly, he was about to ask why that was when Emily shook her head, silently telling him to keep his mouth shut.

"Bye Reid, Morgan and I are heading out" said Emily as she walked out of the bullpen.

"Bye, have a good night guys." Said Reid.

"I'll be right there Em! I just left something in my office." shouted Morgan. Emily glared at him a bit before nodding. Morgan opened his mouth to tell Reid but before he could Reid said.

"I know she slipped more consults onto my pile while I was getting a coffee refill. I let her do it." said Reid.

"Oh, ok, and…" began Morgan before he was cut off.

"And I won't tell her that you were going to tell me." Said Reid with a smile.

"Thanks, I'll see you tomorrow." Said Morgan.

"Bye" said Reid before diving into another file.

"What did you tell him?" asked Emily when Morgan reached the elevator.

"Nothing!" said Morgan, holding up his hands in defense, Emily glared at him again until Morgan said "he already knew." With a slight smile on his shape.

"Well crap now I feel bad." Said Emily as she and Morgan walked into the elevator.

"You didn't before?" asked Morgan.

"He goes through it so fast and he enjoys it so much that I figured he wouldn't notice!" said Emily.

"He noticed, he just doesn't care." Said Morgan.

"Well I'll bring him coffee or buy him lunch tomorrow to make up for it." said Emily.

"Sounds fair, let's go home." said Morgan.

"Let's get dinner first, I'm starved." Countered Emily.

"Deal, where do you want to go?" asked Morgan.

"You pick." Said Emily.

"There's this really good Mexican place near us" said Morgan

"Sounds good" said Emily.

They finally made it home a few hours later, after having decided to eat at the restaurant rather than just get takeout.

"That was nice" said Emily.

"Yeah it was." Replied Morgan.

"We should get some sleep." Said Emily.

"We should" said Morgan before pulling Emily close and kissing her.

"Sleep can wait" said Emily.

The next week passed by slowly, nothing but paperwork, paperwork, and more paperwork. Emily was about to take her third coffee break that morning when JJ walked out of her office and into Hotch's. A few minutes later JJ walked out into the bullpen.

"Guy's we got a case, it's bad, briefing in five minutes." Said JJ before walking away again.

"I wonder what's going on?" asked Reid.

"I don't know, before we start I'm gonna grab a coffee, does anyone want one?" asked Emily, getting up from her chair.

"Please." Said Reid.

"Derek?" asked Emily.

"No thanks Em, I'm good." Said Morgan.

"Ok" said Emily before heading to the break room.

Emily was the last to enter the conference room, carrying two coffees in hand she handed one to Reid before sitting down next to Morgan.

"Ok so this is a little weird. We are headed over to Oregon, we have one double homicide, a Mr. and Mrs. Roberts found in their home. Husband was found on the couch, face nearly split in two, Mrs. Roberts was upstairs in her room, head smashed to pieces. Suspected murder weapon was an axe found in the basement.

"Why does this sound familiar?" asked Rossi.

"Maybe this will help jog your memory, this was found inside Mr. Roberts' jacket pocket." Answered JJ, flicking through the crime scene photos until she found the note which Reid read aloud.

'Lizzie Borden took an axe; and gave her mother forty whacks; when she saw what she had done; she gave her father forty-one."

"Lizzie Borden was suspected of killing her father and step-mother in the late 1800's, she was acquitted because at the time the jury couldn't believe that a girl could commit such a heinous crime." Said Emily.

"I don't suppose this couple had a daughter?" asked Morgan, JJ nodded.

"Yep, two. The media's making it look like their oldest, Amelia, killed her parents, but local police don't think so." Said JJ.

"So we have one double homicide, any other reason we are being called in?" asked Hotch.

"It's not the only murder, meet Alyssa Rodriguez, prostitute found stabbed seventeen times in an alley. This was written on her stomach.

"Dear Boss." Read Rossi.

"Jack the Ripper." Said Reid.

"That's not all, three different people between the hours of two and four o'clock on yesterday, all shot with a .44 caliber, at the last victim, Maria Jones, he left this letter, calling himself the Son of Sam." Finished JJ.

"Ok so we have a bunch of bodies, how do we know it's the same killer?" asked Morgan.

"Ah, one thing I forgot to mention. The Roberts' wedding rings were taken from the bodies and found on Alyssa Rodriguez. Rodriguez's kidney, heart, and liver were missing and found with our three shooting victims, who were all missing their drivers licenses out of their wallets.
