Hotch was setting the table as Beth cooked dinner, Jack was over at a friend's for a sleepover.
"We need to talk." said Beth.
"You've made a decision about Hong Kong." was Hotch's reply.
"I haven't yet, not quite anyway. I want you to answer a few questions first" said Beth.
"You can ask me anything you want." said Hotch.
"What's happening now, between us, do you see it going anywhere? If I choose to go to Hong Kong, would you miss me?" asked Beth.
"Let me answer your question with one of my own." said Hotch as he took the ring out of his pocket and dropped down on one knee.
"Will you marry me?" asked Hotch.
Back at JJ and Will's house, Emily and Morgan were just getting ready to go.
"Why don't you guys stay for dinner? There's plenty of food." said JJ.
"I'd love to." said Emily.
"Count me in." said Derek.
"I'll go set some extra places." said Will.
After they were done eating, Will, JJ, Derek and Emily were sitting in the living room drinking wine as Henry played with a toy firetruck.
"Storytime!" said Henry when he got bored of the firetruck after a few minutes.
"What kind of story do you wanna hear, little man?" asked Derek.
"A fairytale. One with princes and knights." Said Henry.
"You know I think your Aunt Emily can tell you a story just like that, if you ask nicely." Said JJ.
Henry got up and walked over to the couch Emily and Derek were sitting on.
"Aunt Emily can you tell me the story please?" asked Henry.
"Sure buddy, do you want to sit on my lap while I tell it?" asked Emily. Henry nodded and held out his arms so Emily could pick him up and settle him down on her lap.
"Once upon a time, in a far off kingdom, there was a very brave woman who wanted to become a knight, but the king wouldn't let her. The woman was turned away. That night…" began Emily when Henry interrupted.
"Why was she turned away?" asked Henry.
"Because she wasn't a man, and only men could become knights in this kingdom." Said Emily.
"But that's not fair!" protested Henry.
"You're right, that isn't fair. Would you like me to continue?' asked Emily, Henry nodded.
"That night, the young prince was kidnapped. The woman who was turned away, we'll call her Joanna, was blamed. In order to clear her name Joanna went in search for the prince, and discovered where he was being kept. The young prince, Finn, was being kept in an old, abandoned castle. The castle was being guarded by a dragon. Joanna climbed over the castle walls and entered through a window in the basement. She slowly made her way to the tallest tower in the castle, and she found the boy inside. Now here was the hard part. When Joanna broke into the tallest tower of the castle, she alerted the guards to her presence, and now she had to fight her way out while also taking care of Finn. It took a long time, but they made it out live, Joanna with many cuts and bruises, but Finn was unharmed and that was the important thing. Joanna brought Finn home and reunited him with his father, the King. Unfortunately, the king still believed in Joanna's guilt, and he banished her from the kingdom. The prince was angry with his father. Finn tried valiantly to get Joanna a position as a knight, but his father wouldn't budge. So Joanna was sent away." Said Emily.
"That's not a happy ending." Said Henry, you could tell he was growing more tired by the minute.
"I'm not finished yet. Although she was banished, Joanna didn't leave, because she believed that the young prince was still in danger. She was right, his kidnappers came for him again, but Joanna was there to protect him, fore she had been hiding near his room. She surprised the kidnappers and managed to take them down. When he realized what she had done for his son, the king knighted Joanna, and she served faithfully for the rest of her life. The end." said Emily, she looked down and noticed that Henry had fallen asleep. Will checked his watch.
"Right on time, I'll take him up." Said Will, scooping Henry out of Emily's arms.
"We should go, thanks for dinner JJ." Said Derek.
"Yeah, thank you." said Emily.
"Thank you for getting Henry to go to sleep, it's been kind of difficult lately." Said JJ. Suddenly JJ's cell phone rang.
"Hello?" asked JJ when she answered the phone.
-Are you alone? The voice was distorted, JJ couldn't even tell if it was a man or a woman.
"Who is this?"
-The museum that was bombed, did you find the licenses?
JJ put the phone on speaker.
-Well, did you? Did you find the licenses of John Stephenson, Anna Marie Lee and Maria Jones?
"No, we didn't."
-I know, because I still have them. I don't like bombs, never have. And I would never destroy such an amazing exhibit. I also don't kill those who protect and serve, only those who deserve to die. I would have never wanted an FBI agent such as Emily Prentiss to be stuck on the bomb. Your time is up. The caller hung up.
"Ok what is going on, do we have two Unsubs?" asked Emily.
"Or one Unsub who is just messing with our heads?" asked Derek.
"How did the Unsub get my personal number? I just have it for emergencies, but it's in my file".
"Are we really thinking that someone at the FBI could be behind all this?" asked Derek.
"Who else would know that we were at the museum today and that Emily got stuck on the bomb? I made sure that every press outlet reported that there was a gas leak in the basement which caused the explosion. The only people who know what really happened work for the FBI.
"I think this is a lot bigger than we originally thought." Said Emily.
"I think you're right." Said Derek.
