(A/N: Hiya Dudes and Dudettes. Well I am pleased to say that this story is almost done. One more chapter after this one and Endless Tears will be finished. Hope everyone enjoyed reading the story as much as I enjoyed writing it. As I always say, reviews a much appreciated and trolls need to go back to their bridges.)
Chapter Eight:
The sun was bright in the thinly cloud strewn sky. Sakura managed to convince her savior to leave the cave with her so they could talk somewhere less dreary. All the while she continued to stare at the man leading her to a beautiful meadow not to far from the cave.
Sakura still couldn't believe her eyes. The man before her was tall, his physic tone with nice muscle definition. Even though he wore loose black shorts and a black t-shirt, she'd have to be blind to miss the Uchiha emblem on the back of his shirt. His long black bangs hung to his chin on either side of his pale face. His hair was long and fell in thin sheets to the back of his neck.
Sakura couldn't help the smile that lifted the corners of her mouth, as the sun slipped through the opening of the cave and basked him in its glow. A cool breeze lifted his hair and tugged at his bangs. His coal eyes watched her every move.
"Sakura." He spoke softly, "What happened?"
The rosette haired kunoichi couldn't find her voice. After five very long tear filled years, she'd finally found her long lost love. After so many night of crying herself to sleep and waking up in a cold sweat crying out his name and wishing she could see him, here he was. Giving her a puzzled look and talking to her.
Sasuke Uchiha.
"Sakura?"
"Meaning what?" She countered with a question of her own, "I do not understand."
Sasuke flashed his famous cocky smirk, and eyed her with his expressionless eyes. She hated it when she could read his emotions. She remembered that even now. The dark haired missing ninja shifted uncomfortably under her pleased expression, yet he didn't move away from her. They were making progress.
"You've changed, Sakura."
Sakura nodded. She then smiled unable to keep it in.
"You bet I changed. I'm a jonin now and one of the top medic ninjas in Konoha." She exclaimed beyond excited, "It was hard, but I managed to do it."
"What about Naruto?" He asked after a short pause.
"He's the Hokage now."
Sasuke smirked, "That's good and Kakashi?"
"Same as ever."
Sasuke asked question rapidly, yet Sakura managed to answer them almost the second he asked. The Uchiha smiled fondly at the mention of the blonde haired 'loser' managed to achieve his dream. He sort of wished he'd been there to witness the ceremony in which Naruto was named the figurehead of Konoha.
So that loser is Hokage now. Sasuke thought.
"What about you?"
Sakura's words brought him back from his musings. Once his eyes focused on her he had to look away. She was beautiful. Her hair was a lighter shade of pink than he remembered and longer, falling in thick waves almost to the backs of her knees. Her body was far more curvy and her voice sweeter.
"The same." He replied, unable to disguise the bitterness in his voice.
"Oh." Sakura's gaze fell, "What I meant was have you-"
"I know what you meant, Sakura." Sasuke sighed, "No, I lost him. He slipped right through my fingers."
Sakura nodded in an understanding way. She reached for has hand, lightly resting her much smaller hand over his and treading her fingers through his. Sasuke's head snapped up in surprise, his coal eyes locking on her green ones. Her expression was soft and caring, her eyes warm and remorseful. His heart picked up at the feeling of heat rushing from her fingertips and through his bloodstream.
"I'm so sorry" She whispered, feeling her cheeks burn with a blush.
Sasuke didn't say a thing. He didn't trust his words to convey how he felt at that very moment, so he opted for staring at her. After a short uncomfortable silence, he closed his hand around her fingers. He could feel an odd pull towards his childhood friend and before he knew it he was leaning closure to her. Fear of her rejecting him cut like a knife in his chest causing him to hesitate, but only for a moment.
Their lips met in a soft kiss. It was nothing spectacular, just two pairs of lips pressing together. Sakura was taken aback by the sudden change in mood. She watched his big coal eyes drift closed, before she closed her own.
She smiled against his lips, the faint tingle of memory playing behind her closed eyes. Sakura fell back on the cool green grass, holding his face between her hands and pulling him down with her. He complied, resting his weight on his palms as he hovered over her. She's longed for this moment for far too long.
Sakura fisted his messy black hair in her hands and crushed her lips against his, deepening the kiss. Sasuke wasn't an idiot, he knew what she wanted. His tongue snaked passed her lips and stroked her teeth seeking an entrance. His heart was racing in his chest sending blood roaring in his ears and to other parts of his anatomy.
She parted her teeth slowly and teasingly. Sasuke growled lowly, surprising her just enough for his tongue to slip all the way through. Their tongues met in a heated embrace, twisting and turning in a wild and passionate dance. The rosette woman moaned into his mouth, earning a cocky smirk from her companion. She really hadn't changed.
Her body was on fire, everywhere their bodies made contact was an inferno. Sakura gasped, her instincts quickly taking over as she reached a new plain of bliss. Her legs parted, allowing Sasuke to settle on top of her, his waist resting just between her erect knees. His weight was a delicious pressure against her more sensitive areas and her chest.
"Sasuke." She groaned, her breath rushing out of her in a gust of air.
His body radiated heat like a distant sun, making her sweat and ache for something more intimate. Sasuke broke the kiss long enough to catch his breath before he ravaged her neck. Sakura cried out loudly at the odd mixture of pain from him nipping her sensitive flesh and the calming balm of his tongue lapping at the mark she was sure he'd made. She closed her eyes and concentrated on her love's soft kisses, vicious nibbling and whatever else he saw fit to do to her hot spot.
"Stay with me." He whispered into her neck.
Sakura's eyes shot open to meet the coal eyes of her first love. She wasn't sure she heard him right, so she chose not to say anything. Instead she caressed his cheek with her delicate palm and smiled up at him. Sasuke closed his eyes and moved his face with her hand, until he rested his hand against hers and gripped her small fingers tight.
"Will you?" He whispered his heart in his question.
Sakura nodded, "Always."
(A/N: Ahhhh! That was so freaking sweet. I think I eared up a bit at the end there. Not really but anyway review if you want.) -Shi~chan
