Sorry it's been a while, and this one won't be as long as the others but I thought I'd at least update it!

When Sully had woken that morning, she hadn't known what to do with herself; it was the Sunday that Paul was going to take her out. He'd messaged her the day before explaining that on the Sunday night there would be a tribe bonfire and asking if he could escort her to that, then the two could walk along the beach and spend some time together. Sully had teased him and asked if he was just skint, but Paul insisted that perhaps being around everyone else would put her at ease. She'd bought some nice clothes the day before when she had went out with Kim and her friends, who were all nice enough but Sully had found the shopping trip to be somewhat boring. They browsed clothes and jewelry and talked about the latest fashion and boyfriends, things that just didn't interest Sully. She had been polite and friendly, but mostly played the shy card to get away with being so quiet. Still, at least she'd bought something nice to wear.

She had no clue what to do with herself for the Sunday until she met up with Paul, so when Emily called her for a quick chat, she was more then happy to take the call. Emily asked her how the day with Kim went and if she knew where Paul was taking her later. When Sully explained, Emily expressed her surprise at Paul's idea but perhaps it was a good idea, it would help to put the two of them at ease. Emily then asked Sully if she was doing anything for the rest of the day until she met up with Paul, and when she discovered the younger girl was not doing anything, she asked if she would perhaps come over and help her prepare some food. Sully jumped at the chance to do something, and at Emily's idea, packed a bag full of what she planned to wear later so she could just get changed at Emily's. Sully had said she would walk but Emily insisted on sending Sam to pick her up.

Whilst waiting for Sam to pick her up, Sully packed her bag. She was grateful that Emily had thought of her to help her and even wondered if she was just a last resort but quickly pushed that thought aside. Emily had told her she enjoyed her company, and she was pleasantly surprised when Sully had told her she enjoyed baking. It had been something that her and her mother enjoyed doing together. Emily understood that it was an important and kinda sentimental thing for Sully, maybe that was why she invited Sully round. Either way, Sully really liked Emily. She was gentle and kind, and always greeted Sully with a hug. Emily had little interest in dressing up and make up, she would talk about married life with Sam and that all the boys seemed like just all her sons. She loved having everyone over, it was like having the huge family she always wanted. Emily spoke to Sully like the person she was, Sully had noticed that Kim and her friends were careful about what they would say around her and it felt like they were mollycoddling her. It annoyed her. Emily spoke about moving over to La Push and how it had taken her a while to adjust, but now she loved it.

When Sam pulled up to the house, he warned the young girl that Emily was in a 'hyper mood and will most likely talk her ear off'. Sully just laughed and asked if that's why Sam had offered to go and build the bonfires ahead of time. Sam told her not to blow his cover and sped off once she was safely in the house. Emily greeted Sully with a hug, and then started to explain the different things she had going on; she would man the cooker and whilst things were baking, she would do the mix if Sully would roll everything out. They had a nice little system going, and Emily had refused to see what Sully would be wearing later, she wanted to see Sully wearing it later and promised to do her hair. The two worked in a comfortable silence, until Sully decided to ask Emily something that had been bugging her for a while.

"Hey, Em?" Sully hesitated, although she knew that Emily would speak truthfully she also knew that many people had been rather vague on the subject. "You know how I went missing those weeks ago? And that guy chased me? Well, what happened to him? Did the wolves get him?"

"Wolves?" Emily answered in a puzzled voice.

"Yea, there were wolves. Just when he was about to grab me, before the boys showed up I saw wolves. They were massive, he didn't hurt the wolves, did he?"

Emily smiled, touched that she cared, "Well, as far as I know, no wolves were hurt. But the guy, he..um...maybe you should talk about this with Tiffany."

"Emily please, every time I even try to she changes the subject." Sully explained, "Please, I need answers. I deserve to know."

"You're right," Emily nodded, "You do deserve to know. He was never caught."

Emily watched as Sully's face dropped at the news, her face went pale and she looked scared, just like the night they found her. Emily felt her instincts kick in and she closed the gap between herself and the younger girl, wrapping her arms around her and hugging her close. Emily whispered in her ear,

"It's okay. The boys will always look after you, you know that right. We're one big family, and we protect family."

Sully sniffed, "Kind of makes all these relationships in the tribe kinda weird then doesn't it?"

Emily laughed, "Trust you, to say something like that."

Sully tried to hide her laughter, as Emily threw a small handful of flour at the girl. The two women turned as they heard a loud groan, normally Emily always had food on the go for the guys to come in and help themselves and although all the food she had made was for the bonfire tonight, her door was still open. She had a pantry full of snacks and had made sure to make enough sandwiches to feed an army, just in case the boys decided to turn up. The girls saw Jared, Sam and Embry. Sam walked straight over to Emily, took her face in his hands and kissed her, the other two began to tuck into sandwiches as Sully continued on with her work, this was the last batch. Sully was vaguely aware of Emily and Sam whispering and her name mentioned, but she thought nothing of it.

"Em, why don't you go get a shower. I'll finish this off, Sully's almost finished, it's just putting things into the oven and getting them out; I think I can manage."

Sam didn't really give Emily much of a choice, and Emily walked out of the room. She told Sully to knock on her bedroom door when she was finished and the two of them would get ready together. Sam smiled at the younger girl, he knew that she felt like she just didn't fit in on the Rez. If it wasn't her body language then it was Embry, Sam was glad she'd found a friend in Emily. She seemed at peace and a lot more relaxed with Emily. Sam knew the pack was trying their best to make Sully feel at home but he also understood her point of view on things, she'd lost her mother and now was living thousands of miles away; never mind her ordeal with the vamp.

"Seems you and Em have been hard at work." Sam grinned.

"You mean it seems like Emily's been hard at work," Sully grinned.

Jared turned to the two of them, "Looking forward to your date tonight?"

Sully blushed and nodded.

"What Date?" Embry demanded.

"Paul asked me out."

"And you said yes?"

Sully glared at Embry, "Are we really going to have this conversation? Remember the girl you asked out when you came to England that summer? Do you really want me to.."

"Alright, I get it." Embry cringed, "You have a lot more dirt on me then I ever could on you!"

After a while, Jared and Embry had ran out to help setting up for the bonfires. Sully had stayed with Sam, to help him clean up. The two worked in a comfortable silence, Sully liked Sam, maybe not as much as she liked Emily but they had a kind of big sister and big brother vibe about them, and it helped Sully relax around them.

"Emily told you me, you'd been asking about when you went missing."

Sam glanced over to her, and saw that for a second she stopped and her face went pale. He felt sorry for her, she was just thrown into their world and still knew nothing of it. Sam knew that because she was an imprint, she should be told of their world and soon, but she was still dealing with the death of her mother. No matter how much she tried to hide it, it was obvious to a number of them.

"You know, we'll protect you. You're family."

"Em said the same thing, but..."

Sully trailed off and Sam, for once just didn't know what to say. He wanted to tell her about the pack but it wasn't his call, it was down to Paul. She was his imprint, and Paul was just beginning to make his mark on her. The idea was to introduce her to the stories of their tribe again by bringing her to the bonfire tonight. At least she'd be familiar with them again, and then maybe it would be easier to tell her later on.

When it came down to it though, it wasn't just Paul she would have to accept but Embry also. Embry was terrified that he would loose her through this and a part of him didn't want to say anything to her, but he knew they would have to. Hi mother had taken to it rather well but Sully had also just thought of the wolves as stories, it wasn't something she had grown up with, it wasn't in her blood. Sam thought perhaps he was overreacting, if she loved him then it shouldn't matter, right? But this could be a big shock to the system. After speaking about it with the council, Billy Black had decided to make sure that Sully was in a better mind state.

"Go on, Emily will be wondering where you are." Sam smiled, "I'll take care of this."

Like I said, I'm sorry this was so short but I did update. Finally lol. I'll try update again soon!
