Chapter 14

Tyler blew out a breath trying to keep from snapping at the infuriatingly frustrating girl he liked to call his sister. Ever since the party at Halloween she and his brother had been acting weird around each other. Not to mention he was already trying to get Bella to tell him what had her so upset the night.

"Ria, for the last time Reid isn't going to pull something stupid like that in front of Bell." Tyler tried to reason.

"But Bella isn't going to be there when we get there so it makes perfect sense to wait before going." Maria said making the younger boy groan.

"Alright that's it." Tyler muttered before surprising the girl by swinging her over his shoulder and heading for the others.

"Tyler you put me down right this instant." Maria screeched getting the others attention.

"As you wish." He said with a smirk before setting her down in front of Pouge who was fighting back a small smile.

"What's up?" Caleb asked raising an eyebrow when Maria tried to launch herself at the youngest Son but was kept back by Pouge and Angela.

"Ask her." Tyler muttered looking agitated.

"Maria?" Liz asked looking at her friend knowingly.

"Nothing." She snapped after letting Pouge move her further away from the object of her anger.

"Hey guys, what'd me and Belly miss?" A voice asked making the others turn around and saw that it was the girl and her older cousin.

"Oh, thank you God." Tyler muttered before taking Bella from her cousin and dragging her into the diner they were going to have dinner in.

"What the hell was that all about?" Kyle asked the others getting shrugs in response.

Bella let Tyler lead her to a table letting her sit down first before he plopped down himself. She looked at her brother and noticed something was bothering him.

"What's wrong Bub?" Bella asked him quietly.

"Other than not know what or who made you cry, our other problem," He emphasized, "getting back into the groove of things at school, Maria and Reid have now decided to start acting like they can't be in the same room together."

Bella felt equal parts concerned, angry and guilty. Concerned because she had never seen Tyler have any kind of issues with school before, angry because her brother and coven sister really needed to admit their feelings to one another and guilty because she wasn't helping him at all.

"The other problem hasn't really flared or anything so we can't do anything about it," Bella started, " as for Reid and Maria it's gonna take them a while to realize that they're hurting themselves and each other by not doing themselves, and us, the favor of admitting their feelings to each other. School I can help you with because I'm basically a genius."

"Don't rub it in." Tyler grumbled smiling when she giggled.

"And as for what made me cry, I did." Bella admitted quietly ducking her head down.

Before Tyler had the chance to ask her what that meant the others had finally made it in and to the table. He looked around and noticed Pouge sitting as far away from Bella as he could manage without raising any suspicion with the others. Looking back at his best friend he noticed she wouldn't even raise her eyes to look at the other Son.

Tell me you're joking right now.

Jesus Ty, warn me a little next time. And no I'm not.

Please tell me you didn't do what I think you did for reasons only you would find logical.

Not getting a reply gave him the answer he needed and he now felt the very strong urge to bang his head against the table. He should have known what was wrong. The girl had a serious problem with being way too selfless when to came to any of the others.

"You still ignoring me Belly?" Reid asked from his spot next to the girl.

"Fuck you Garwin." She snapped before getting up and leaving. The others watched her go in shock.

"What in the hell did you do?" Caleb asked the other Son.

"I have no clue and if I did everyone here knows that I would have apologized over and over again." Reid said a little sad and upset.

"How long has she been like that?" Pouge asked making the others look at him.

"You mean you haven't seen her?" Kyle asked him.

"Been a little busy." Pouge told him before getting up and going after the girl.

He hadn't really lied when he said he was busy. School had started again and he was trying to find a way to make the younger see that they could be together without anyone getting hurt. Pouge was angry with the way he acted at Halloween. He knew he had the right to be mad but he should've stayed and talked it out with her rather than leaving.

Sighing he looked around the parking lot and noticed that she was close to where he had parked his bike. He walked over to her and smiled a little because no matter how mad he was at her he would always be there for her.

"You ok?" He asked watching as she jumped.

"Jesus, what is it with people sneaking up on me?" Bella muttered looking up briefly before looking down again.

"We like to watch you jump." He tease her.

"Well, as long as you guys are amused." She replied sarcastically making the older boy chuckle.

"You wanna tell me what Garwin did?" He asked leaning against the brick wall of the diner.

"He's a pain in the ass that doesn't know when to shut the hell up." Bella muttered shocking Pouge.

"He really made you mad this time didn't he?" Pouge asked watching the girl pace back and forth.

"Can we go to your apartment and talk about this there?" Bella asked stopping abruptly in her pacing.

"C'mon Butterfly." He said leading her over to his bike.

Dinner with the others was gonna have to wait til some other time.
