Clint was caught in the midst of rapid gunfire. The number of people trying to kill him seemed to increase by the second. He began to panic as reinforcement didn't show up when he expected them to. He was being cornered. He was used to these situations but he had been used to Natasha having his back, he had been spoiled with her. He knew his ammo was running low, he had ran out of arrows long ago and he knew it was only a matter of time before the enemy would get to him.

His last bullet entered an enemy but there were many more behind him.

The pain was felt instantly but Clint knew that they wouldn't kill him there. They would capture him and torture him. He was a dead man. The next bullet entered his body and everything went black.

Natasha woke up screaming, the first thing she registered was the fear of her nightmare. The next thing she felt was the cramping in her lower abdomen and the pain. Steve was startled and was instantly on his feet by Natasha's side. Her hands flew to her stomach and she looked at him with wide eyes.

"Whats wrong? What hurts? Jarvis alert Bruce!"

Natasha couldn't get the words out of her mouth. She caught her breath for a second before the cramping came back with a vengeance and she was left breathless once again. Bruce ran into the room and it didn't even take him a second before he ordered Steve to get Natasha a coat and some shoes and to get her down to a car. He went to retrieve his own coat and shoes as Steve helped Natasha out of bed, put on her coat and his own and got on his knees to get her boots on. He picked her up with ease and the fact that she didn't protest made him worried. He grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around Natasha and ran to the elevators. By the time he made it to the garage Bruce was already waiting in a car.

"I told Jarvis to tell the guys. Hold on tight we're heading to the S.H.I.E.L.D hospital."

Steve rubbed Natashas back and held her close. They made it to S.H.I.E.L.D in no time and there was already a medical team waiting outside. Bruce opened the door as Steve carried Natasha out.

"Tony must have called ahead."

Thunder was heard out of nowhere. Thor was on his way.

Steve placed Natasha in the waiting wheelchairs and allowed the doctors to take over but he ran behind them. Tony's repulsors we're heard but Steve was focused on Natasha. He followed her as far as he could until the doctors didn't let him through the door. He stood out the door as he watched Natasha be wheeled away. Thor landed outside of the building and ran inside, Tony was already speaking to the nurses with Bruce. Thor placed a firm hand on Steve's shoulder, turning him around and pulling him into an embrace. Steve's shoulders sagged and he cried. It wasn't until he was done crying that Steve realized Thor was wearing only his pajama bottoms. His feet were wet from having walked on snow. He realized that he wasn't wearing a shirt and his jacket wasn't zipped up. As a matter of fact they were all wearing pajamas.

"Take a seat Steve, I know that you wish there was something you could do but there is nothing we can do but wait for our dear Natasha."

Steve looked up at Thor and allowed him to lead him to a seat. It wasn't long till they were on their feet again. Clint was wheeled through the doors of the building covered in blood. He was pale and it didn't look like he was breathing. They were all shocked into silence, no one moved. A stressed looking doctor walked through the door and straight to the avengers. Steve's breath caught as he began to think of the worst case scenario.

"Is Natasha…is she alright?"
