Chapter 15

Seeley was beyond scared at this point. He knew that something had happened when he had pulled the security tapes after following the GPS coordinates of his wife's last phone ping. He watched her toss her phone into the trash and use a payphone to make a call and then they watched, using whatever resources that they could, as she walked down the street. They had pulled security footage from so many different places that they had interns from so many places looking through it all. They had seen the car, the license plate on the car and put an APB out on it, and they had put out the Bones was missing, but it was going to do no good if they couldn't figure out a way….

Seeley smacked his own forehead as he studied something on the tape. He couldn't believe how stupid he was being. He could tell his wife was trying to communicate with him, she was leaving him clues and attempting to let him know what was happening, she had known he would do all of this and she had been trying to use that as a way to let him be her backup, to let him know where he needed to start looking for her at. Seeley could see something in the car that she actually held up, something she had noticed and wanted to let him see himself.

"Can you freeze this frame for me?" Seeley asked and he waited until they did that.

"Is that better?" Angela asked as she did what she always did.

"Yes, now zoom in on what she is trying to hold up without holding it up." Seeley pointed out.

"Wow, great eyes Booth." Hodgins said as he finally started seeing what Seeley was trying to point out.

"What is it?" Jared asked, seeing that his brother saw something that everyone else was picking up on.

"Brennan started noticing something and started leaving a trail of clues so that we could find her." Cam said as he started to write down notes and they all watched as the map started to take shape.

"Mommy…" Alana's little voice brought Brennan around and she noticed her baby girl was staring at her with scared and wide eyes.

"Alana, baby, mommy is going to make sure you are safe and when we get home, you are going to get to know your daddy and your uncle and so many people are waiting to meet you." Brennan said, happy to see that her little girl was alive.

"My daddy?" Alana asked, her eyes wide and there was a brief flash of happiness at the thought of finally getting to meet him after begging her mother for so long. "But we are stuck here." She said softly, her happiness dying as she looked around the area they were trapped in.

"I know your daddy baby, and he will find us and he will bring us home safely, I know he will." Brennan said, careful not to say out loud what she had done and how she knew he would find a way to find them. She knew that they had to be listening to their every word, maybe even watching them. Brennan wished her wrists didn't have her tied to the chair she was in, she longed to hold and hug her daughter, something that had surprised her when she had given birth, she didn't understand why those feelings and emotions were there, she was a scientist and relied on facts and things, but her emotions and instincts had shown her there was a different way when it came to being a parent, it wasn't all about facts and coldness, it was about love and instincts, her protective instinct to do what she had to for her daughter.

They were all watching from the other room. They had placed a camera in there so that they wouldn't have to be in there at all times but could watch them closely and because they could use whatever they decided to do in there to torment Seeley Booth and the others. They knew that this Dr. Brennan was so sure that her husband, the FBI agent would find a way to get there and rescue them but they also knew that she hadn't been in any contact with him during her time coming there, so there was no way that he would know where to go, unless they were missing something. It was the look on Dr. Brennan's face that had them realizing that they may have missed something.

"We need to hurry and teach her a lesson." One of the men spoke up, his concern in his voice alerted the Gravedigger and the other male to his concern over their time limit.

"So what did you have in mind?" The Gravedigger asked, her hatred for Brennan and Booth so strong that she was willing to sacrifice an innocent child to get the revenge she was craving. She had everything so perfect, no one had been the wiser and she was going to be famous and rich, and then that stupid team got involved in everything and they ruined everything and then she had lost it all. She knew that Dr. Brennan was good, she knew that Agent Booth was good and she also knew that the team they worked with was good, but they were only great when they were all together and working together as a team, and since they had Brennan she didn't think they stood any chance of finding them any time soon.

"Oh I think you know." The man who had spoken said as he turned and walked towards the door that would take him into the main room.

Over the next hour Brennan was sure she was going to lose it. She had been yanking and trying desperately to get free while that guy had tormented and hurt her baby girl. She was lucky it wasn't anything predatory but everything was a physical pain that had her daughter crying and screaming in agony. Her daughter was bleeding and holding one of her arms that appeared to be broken and Brennan saw only red. The man seemed finished as he walked over and started in on Brennan before he knelt in front of her and pointed to Alana who was whimpering in pain.

"I am going to leave you two here to starve and die. I want you to watch her whither away and know it's all your fault and think about this, we are going to be out there and free and before any of the people in your life or that you work with know it, we are going to strike back and we are going to ruin who they are and what they have worked for, by the time we are done, they are going to be begging for death." The man said before he started to spit on her but thought better of it, because of DNA, and then he turned and chained Alana up away from Brennan so they couldn't help each other or get each other free.

Brennan heard them all leave and knew that they weren't coming back. She and Alana were chained in this room and it was apparent that they were being left there to die slow and painful deaths and they wanted her to watch as her daughter slowly withered away and she couldn't do that. She was trying desperately to find a way to get loose but it was no use. She was chained tightly to the chair and her daughter was chained tightly to the wall as she laid on the hard and cold concrete floor. Brennan wasn't all that sure where she was, but she knew that if the others hadn't caught on to her messages and they weren't reviewing the tapes, then Booth would lose them for sure and who knew how long it would take before their bodies were discovered. She could only hope they had the security tapes and they had seen her messages and that they were following them and that they would hopefully find them soon.

"Hang on sweetheart, everything is going to be all right, we are going to find a way out of here, your daddy will find us, I know your daddy will find us." Brennan said softly, tears in her eyes which shocked her because she didn't like to cry. "Mama loves you and she's right here baby, just hang in there for mommy, my brave girl." Brennan added, and silently she did something she didn't ever do because she didn't believe in it, she prayed for Seeley. She might not believe that there was anyone to pray to, but her husband did, and if there was any chance that he would be able to hear from whoever he believed in, then she would do whatever was necessary for her little girl. "Find us Seeley, find us."
