Hello everyone! I'm back as you can see. Anyways, I want to be really honest with you. To those that enjoy reading this story, I want to say this very clearly and simple. I really hate writing this story... I can update my other stories without getting writer's block all the time. This is the only one I refuse to do. So, if you don't enjoy the long wait, please keep in mind, I don't enjoy writing this anymore. So enjoy the update!

Previously on My Little Family:

"Yeah, sure. I'll be down there later. I have something to do here."

With that, Yamamoto left the room. Tsuna stared at the door before hugging his legs. He pressed his forehead against his knees.

"Just forget about it. That way, it'll hurt less." Tsuna muttered.

Chapter 12: In Denial?

Yamamoto leaned on the door as he ran his hand over his face. He couldn't believe he just did that. That actually couldn't happen. It was because they were caught up in the moment. That's why. It couldn't be anything else. But, for Pete's sake, he kissed Tsuna! Yamamoto smiled as a small blush formed on his cheeks. He quickly stood straight and walked down the stairs to the living room. There, he sees Dino in a strange position.

In the kitchen, Dino had his face stuffed in a plate of food. He was holding Matthew above his head, who is actually kicking the back of his head further in. Yamamoto raised a brow before smiling as if it was nothing. That was payback for pulling something on Tsuna. He quickly moved to the table with the awkward Dino and upset Matthew. He removed the baby from the blond's clutches. The blond bronco's fingers twitched when something was missing.

"Wait! Matthew, where'd you go?" Dino exclaimed.

Dino finally removed his face from the plate to see Yamamoto with a smiling Matthew. His shoulders dropped tiredly after realizing that he didn't drop the baby. Yet, he didn't notice that the small baby was slightly glaring at him darkly. Yamamoto brought the child close to his chest and pat his back. Dino sighed tiredly as he wiped the stains off his face.

"You're not rehearsing anymore? Where's Tsuna?"

"He's upstairs. He'll be coming soon. I'm going to take care of Matthew for now."

"Sure, go ahead. I'm going to continue eating." Dino muttered.

The giggling baby boy fidgets on Yamamoto's chest as he tries to reach his hair. Yamamoto failed to notice what Matthew was doing as he laughed heartily. Tsuna came down from his room after recomposing himself. He glimpsed at his Rain guardian before turning away quickly. He took a seat to Dino's right and dropped his arms on the kitchen table. The blond bronco merely spared him a glance before eating again.

"About that play... When is it going to be official?" Dino asked.

"Five days from now. Everyone is getting everything ready. All we need is to know our lines..."

"Should we see you two perform?"

"I don't mind. Just don't cause any trouble for me and Yamamoto." Tsuna muttered tiredly.

Dino raised one of his hands and swore that he wouldn't. Tsuna only leaned forward and pulled up a suspicious brow. The smile on the blonde bronco made him slightly doubtful. Then again, anything that related to the Mafia made him feel that way. Yamamoto voiced out that he and Matthew should absolutely come. It would also allow Matthew a chance to see his 'parent's' acting skills. Tsuna sighed.

"Fine... But no funny business. If someone cause trouble, Hibari-san will be after me."

Dino swore to him as a Mafia boss. And that he could relate to Tsuna since he had once dealt with said person when he was his teacher. Anything related to the fight-loving prefect is not something to joke about. And he wouldn't let any chances of 'biting someone to death' slip away from him either. Tsuna finally agreed that the blond bronco and the baby can come. And the brunet is mentally praying that he won't regret that choice later on.

"Hey, Tsuna, check this out! Matthew knows how to crawl!" Yamamoto exclaimed.

Dino and Tsuna quickly turned their attention to the baby behind them. Yamamoto was only sitting inches away from Matthew, who was on his hands and knees crawling. Tsuna smiled and went over to praise the baby boy. Matthew smiled and giggled happily from the attention he is getting from his 'parents'. Dino remained where he is and continued eating his meal. He didn't want to ruin their precious family moment. And he doesn't want another angry attack from Matthew.

It was already night time and everyone was getting ready for bed. Tsuna was taking care of Matthew at the moment, getting his bottle ready for the long night. Yamamoto was already in their bedroom, asleep. Dino went ahead to his room after he offered to help Tsuna with the baby, which was kindly rejected. Tsuna pats the baby boy on his back soft and hums a lullaby. He could have guessed that Matthew was ready to fall asleep too.

He brought himself and Matthew up to his bedroom. The baby yawned tiredly as he wiped his face with his covered hands. Tsuna gave him his warm milk while having the small white towel to balance the bottle. And, with that, Matthew instantly fell asleep without a fuss. Tsuna smiled, said goodnight, and went out of the room. He stretched out his arms and went to his own bedroom with Yamamoto.

The trip from Matthew's room his new one was short. Yamamoto was asleep as he suspected when he opened the door. The brunet walked over to the bed tiredly and climbed on. He suddenly recalled a recent memory from earlier as he settled down and pulled the blanket over his body. The small string of pain pulled on his chest. Instead of doing something about it, he pushed aside the pain as if it was nothing and went straight to sleep. Yamamoto pulled him closer when the brunet was sleeping deeply.

Three days passed since that day. Yamamoto and Tsuna were told to remain behind after school. Since they are playing the main characters, the teacher wanted them to perform with the other characters to see how well they remembered their lines. Gokudera was with them, standing near the door with a dark glare. Apparently, there wasn't anything he could do to be useful to his Tenth and that upset him.

It was almost four-thirty when the two main characters are playing scene five: The party scene. Other students in their class were scattered around the room, twirling and dancing. Yamamoto and Tsuna had no choice but to dance with each other. They said their lines smoothly and continued dancing. The teacher then stepped in to tell that he is satisfied with them all and told them they can go home. They'll do more tomorrow morning. Tsuna quickly removes himself and walks over to Gokudera.

"Excellent job out there Tenth." Gokudera praised.

"Thanks Gokudera-kun. Let's go home. I'm starving right now."

They both briefly waited for Yamamoto to gather his things to leave together. When everything is all set and ready, they left the school and went home. Tsuna and Gokudera started their own conversation while Yamamoto would occasionally voice out his opinions when he needed to. Somewhere in his mind, Tsuna was feeling rather distraught and nervous. And it's over a simple kiss that they are going to perform on stage for anyone to see. He couldn't see himself going through this.

He mentally cursed himself for getting himself in this situation.

Tsuna said goodbye to Gokudera as his Storm guardian went home. It was a rather long day with them practicing all the time. Gokudera was making sure that the two of them would be perfect so that they don't receive criticism later. Whenever the brunet made a few mistakes, his friend would either dismiss it or would criticize the nicest way possible. Tsuna wasn't sure if he was okay with that. However, he definitely felt sorry for Yamamoto when they were practicing. Gokudera was watching his every move, hoping there would be any mistakes he could point out.

Tsuna entered the kitchen and saw Yamamoto sitting lazily on one of the chairs. He was leaning further back on the chair with a cold, wet towel over his eyes. Tsuna wasn't sure if he should leave him be or check if his friend was all right. The brunet settled with making a drink for them both for a decent job at practice. He walked over to the cabinet, passing the tired Yamamoto, and pulled out two cups.

The sound of the water being poured in the kettle caused Yamamoto to straighten up on his seat. The towel on his eyes fell onto his lap as he looked around to see who's making a ruckus. His body relaxed when he saw a familiar brunet making drinks. He stood up from his chair and walked over to Tsuna as quietly as possible. Yamamoto was half-aware of what he was doing because the exhaustion from earlier was still in his system. He wrapped his arms around Tsuna and rested his chin on the brunet's shoulder. He could feel his friend's body tensing.

"Y-Yamamoto... What are you doing?" He asked.

"Tired... Want to go upstairs and sleep... Come with me?"

"I can't do that. You go up first. I'll bring you something to drink later..."

"No... Come with me..." Yamamoto whined.

Tsuna bit his lower lip. He could already feel his cheeks reddening while his body became warm under his friend's touch. This is not supposed to happen. Tsuna repeatedly thought over and over that this meant nothing. This was meant to be a friendly gesture. But how is this considered a friendly gesture? Especially after Yamamoto asked him to go sleep with him. They already passed that line between friends and something more again.

"Tsuna...?"

"Not now, Yamamoto. Matthew needs someone to help him sleep."

"Dino is there for that. There is no reason to worry... Aren't you tired too?"

"I just don't feel sleepy... But if you want, I'll be up there when I'm done here." Tsuna suggested.

Yamamoto merely hummed in thought. Exhaustion was already getting worse for him. And he wants nothing more than to sleep the day away. He slowly removed his arms off of the brunet and lazily went upstairs. Tsuna remained still over the sink. He could feel his heart pounding against his chest with every beat. After a minute or two, he crouched down, hands still holding on the rim of the sink. He felt like he couldn't breathe anymore.

'What is wrong with me?' He wondered.

Tsuna did what he promised. He had already checked with Dino to see if Matthew was asleep. Once that was confirmed, he made way towards the shared bedroom. He stood in front of the door, hand on the doorknob. He was trying to calm himself before entering. Tsuna could already see a lump on the bed when he opened the door. He approached the bed after closing the door and join his friend for a quick nap. Movements on the bed must have awoken Yamamoto because, by the time he was settled in, he instantly wrapped his body around Tsuna's like every other night. His cheeks reddened at the sudden action.

Tsuna stared at Yamamoto for a brief second before looking at the ceiling.

'Friendly gesture... Friendly gesture...' He thought repeatedly.

Though, his mind was thinking of something else.

There, I'm done! So done! Well, I hope you enjoyed this chapter because it was agonizing to write it with writer's block. Anyways, I hope my Author's Note didn't give you the impression that I'm going to stop writing this story. No, that was not what I had in mind. I just hate struggling every time writing this. But, yeah... Hopefully, that gave you your daily dose of 8027. And the next update should be interesting and chaotic. Bye... P.S. If I really hate writing this, this story would have been deleted...
