Happy holidays readers. I managed to get the stories updated on time for the occasion. So, please enjoy my gift to you. Oh, before I forget, I need your help. In my profile, there's a poll that you've been voting on. Being the careless idiot as I am, I forgot some of the plot listed on that poll. And I really want to write it for you guys. So, if you remember what the plots for them, PM or review me. The most popular one is Protecting What Is Broken. I seriously have no idea what that is about, but sounds really interesting to write.

Chapter 13: Goodbye Romeo and Juliet I

The day of the play has finally come. And Tsuna never felt any better. If there were any more days left, he thought it wouldn't come at all. At least their hard work are going to pull off. Tsuna's class spent most of the day setting and preparing for Romeo and Juliet. Students performing had to remain in the dressing room so their costumes can be made. Tsuna blushed lightly while Kyoko was helping him with his dress.

"Kyoko-chan, it fits perfectly. If you tie it any tighter, I won't be able to breathe." Tsuna insisted.

"Sorry Tsuna-kun. But you really do look nice in that. Almost like a real girl!"

'There goes my pride as a man...'

Tsuna knew that since he's playing as Juliet, he is expected to wear a dress. That's the only thing he could handle. However, the heels, make-up, and long hair extensions didn't seem like it was necessary. Mostly because he is uncomfortable dressing as a girl and this dented his pride as a man further. Kyoko especially agreed to it and personally want to do his dress-up.

"There, that should do it. How are you feeling Tsuna-kun? Are you okay with being Juliet?" She asked cheerfully.

"I'm okay with it. I just don't think transforming me to a girl is necessary."

"It can't be helped. It would look more convincing if we had you dressed like this. And you really look good as a girl."

"I-I see..."

Tsuna's dress-up was completed when Kyoko finished putting red colored lipstick on him. He nervously glance at the mirror to see the results. It was like looking at someone else. Hair extensions were added around his head because Kyoko had a difficult time straightening it. His eyes had mascara on with fake eyelashes to make his eyes pop. His cheeks were lightly pink because of a blush and has red lipstick that was eye catching. He was at least happy that Kyoko didn't cover his face with white powder. He draws a line for that one.

His dress was long enough to touch the floor. It was blue in color with yellowish gold threads. The sleeves for it was loose around his wrist. And a thick yellow ribbon was tied between his chest and stomach. He would at least say with confidence that he makes a decent-looking girl. Though, he wouldn't willingly admit that to anyone aloud. Even if his life counts on it...

"But I wonder how the others are doing. Aren't you interested in what they'll look like?"

"Yeah, sort of."

On cue, the two of them heard knocking on the door. Kyoko went over to it and opened the door. Yamamoto was on the other side, smiling. He greeted Kyoko casually before looking over at Tsuna. His eyes widen slightly from his friend's appearance. Tsuna quickly stood up from his seat and fidget nervously. He was still feeling uneasy with his friends seeing him dressed like this. He wouldn't be able to stand it if his friends teased him about this.

"Wow, Tsuna... You're..." Yamamoto trailed off.

"Isn't Tsuna-kun pretty? I'm sure that people who doesn't know him would think he's really a girl." Kyoko said proudly.

"I guess so..."

"Gokudera-kun... Let's go meet with Gokudera-kun." Tsuna insisted.

The brunet glanced at his friend quickly. Yamamoto was dressed up with a gray tuxedo with a ruffled button down shirt underneath. A long matching cape was over his shoulders, giving him a prince-y feeling. Tsuna looked away shyly. To think, this was his best friend that kissed him. He wasn't sure if he's about to lose his head today. Tsuna exited the room and was dragging Yamamoto along by the wrist. He wouldn't dare look back when he felt his cheeks heating up.

'Ah! I'm acting strange again! Calm down... We're just friends. So, stop beating so fast, heart.' Tsuna thought harshly.

Walking to Gokudera's dressing room felt like forever to the brunet. He just need something to distract him from the person he's with right now. The brunet knocked on the door and heard someone yelling for them to come in. Gokudera greeted Tsuna happily and gave a short grunt to Yamamoto when they entered. Since Gokudera is playing a small role, his costumes and make-up didn't take long.

He had a long robe on with ripped edges. The only thing showing was his face. Though, Tsuna couldn't say much about that. To make everything quicker, Gokudera's face was covered entirely by white powder. And whoever did his make-up added dark circles under his eyes. It would be an interesting sight when they're going to perform, Tsuna thought.

"It's kind of exciting now that we can get on stage and do the real thing. Dino and Matthew are here to see it too." Yamamoto smiled.

"If that guy is here, we got to be careful. Who knows what he'll do to mess this up." Gokudera said.

'Please don't cause any problems for me today. Please!' Tsuna prayed worriedly.

Tsuna peeked out through the closed curtains. They had a packed house. The brunet quickly stepped away and walked over to his friends. The nervousness that hadn't come has finally arrived. Not only that, he was feeling extremely scared. What if he messes up? What if he does something to make a fool out of himself? More 'what if's entered the brunet's head. That only made it worse for him. He just hope that no bad news comes during the performance.

"Everyone, gather around! There's something I need to inform you all!" The teacher announced.

Everyone did. Tsuna was shifting slightly on his spot. That couldn't be bad news. It was probably those Drama Club good luck rituals.

"We have a slight problem. The school principal requested me not to allow you to do this play. Copyright issues. So, we're going to perform a modern type of Romeo and Juliet."

"How are we going to do that?"

"We do it with the setting of our time. So, same plot ― different setting. I got everything prepared. I want you all to go back and change into something else now!"

Students were scattering around to do their jobs. Tsuna and Yamamoto were trying to force their way through to the dressing rooms. Amid the ruckus, the teacher called out to Gokudera and gave him a few orders. Apparently, whatever the teacher said, it absolutely made Gokudera smile with glee. Everything was ready in thirty minutes flat.

Tsuna, not wearing his dress, was wearing their school's female students uniform. The make-up he had on was lessen. Now, he has lip gloss and mascara on without the fake eyelashes. Yamamoto had to wear his school uniform. The two of them met up as they went out to the stage. Students that were acting were stuck wearing their uniforms instead of their medieval outfits.

"Actors for the first scene get on stage! We're opening the curtains now!" The teacher howled.

Yamamoto gave Tsuna a short wave goodbye before moving closer onto the stage. The brunet could barely see his friend walk away from the crowding students. Everyone was pushing themselves back to make sure they're not seen by the audience. He sent out a silent 'good-luck' to Yamamoto when the curtains opened and the lights went on.

So far, the play was going well. But he wasn't going to jinx it too soon. The stage was now dark as the stage crew quietly changed the setting for the next scene. Because of the time settings, the party of the Capulet's wasn't as fancy. Round tables scattered around with colorful lights hanging above them. Violin music played while some of the supporting casts were mingling and chatting.

Yamamoto was no longer wearing his uniforms for this. Instead, he was wearing the same tuxedo from earlier without the ruffled button down shirt. His dresser thought it was completely not 'Yamamoto-like' at all and gave him just a plain white button down shirt. The Rain guardian was wandering around, searching for his 'Juliet'. He didn't really need to wait long.

Tsuna made his way down the stage. Never in his life had he felt embarrass and nervous at such high extent. Sure, Reborn did make him do things that would make him want to hide under a rock. But this, as far as he can remember, takes the cake hands down.

The uniform he wore was replaced with a stunning dress. The blue dress was long enough to reach the floor. It sparkled from the light blue lace over the silky material. The extensions were curled and was held together on the right side by a rose head piece. Again, the brunet's make-up was made simpler. The mascara was still there along with the pink blush on his cheeks. The lip gloss was replaced by a faint pink colored lipstick.

Romeo or not, it didn't take long for Yamamoto to be captivated by his best friend. Tsnua was looking around shyly for his partner, fidgeting slightly. Yamamoto smiled as he approached his 'Juliet'.

"Well, hello there. I know this is sudden, but may I have this dance?" He said sweetly.

Tsuna didn't need make-up to hide his blush. Yet, he was thankful that it could give him an excuse if questions risen. The brunet smiled lightly and nodded his head. The two of them moved together to the middle of the stage. Lights were on them while the others forced themselves back in to the background. The brunet gazed to the audiences' direction to avoid eye contact with Yamamoto.

"I must ask... How is a beautiful girl like yourself here alone?"

"My date canceled on me at the last minute. So, I came alone."

"Well, it's his loss. Any guy would love to take his place. I know I would." Yamamoto smiled.

"Was that considered a flirt?"

"I would be lying if I say it wasn't."

This is embarrassing. It was utterly embarrassing, Tsuna thought. He couldn't believe that he's hearing this. He thought that Yamamoto would say those sweet words to a girl he likes, not him. The heat from his cheeks increased. And he could feel his heart pounding against his chest. He won't admit it. He won't admit anything. This was him acting. Everything just now and later on is going to be an act.

"I normally don't hang with guys that flirts with me, but I'll make an exception." Tsuna smiled.

"I feel honored. Please allow me to show my gratitude."

It felt like time froze. Both the audience and supporting actors gasped. Tsuna didn't have time to think or respond. Before anything, he felt lips pressing against his. Tsuna's eyes widened from the action. Yamamoto slowly pulled away when he was satisfied. He smiled widely at the brunet's reaction. In the corner of his eye, Yamamoto caught sight of Kyoko running towards them. She was playing as Juliet's 'nurse' ― or in this case, Tsuna's best friend.

"Juliet, the girls and I were looking for you! We thought you weren't coming at all. C'mon, everyone is waiting." Kyoko informed.

"Oh, before you leave, can I get your name?" Yamamoto asked.

"Juliet... Juliet Capulet." Tsuna smiled.

Kyoko pulled Tsuna away before they got a response. So far, everything was going according to the play's plot. And their teacher was more than happy with it. Kyoko stopped walking after reaching the other side of the stage. The lights were on them. She spoke in a hush tone but loud enough for the audience to hear. She looked worried.

"Juliet, are you crazy? Why were you hanging out with that guy?" She asked.

"What wrong with him? He was nice enough to keep me company."

"That's the thing. He's a Montague. Your family's company rival!"

Tsuna gasped loudly before looking back at Yamamoto. The other male went off to his friends, looking troubled. The brunet turned his attention back to Kyoko with the same expression.

"I think I'm in love with him..." He whispered.

I hope that you all liked it. Hopefully, with this, I can gain some motivation to write something interesting for this story. And thank you RagingoWolfoGirl for giving me the extra push I needed for my lack of will to write for this. Well, that's it for now. I hope that you can stick around to see more soon. And happy holidays.
