Finally got this done! It's mostly forced out, but it's still interesting I guess. Anyways, please read and enjoy.
Chapter 15: Movie Night
Dino has many flaws. And most ― or all of them ― reveal themselves whenever his men are not around. Also, he must thank whoever is watching over him for at least not once screwing up and resulting Matthew being harmed. Who knows what Tsuna would say or do if something dangerous happened to the small and defenseless baby. Better yet, he's lucky Reborn wouldn't step in to deal with his mistakes.
Despite all of that, he does pride himself in noticing things that others would dismiss. One of them would be the slow development between his little brother and his Rain guardian. Yes, there were times when Tsuna denies it. There were times when he ignores him about it. And there were even times when the brunet doesn't talk to him at all whenever it is mentioned. The point is, despite all the neglection, Dino knows something is happening between them without Tsuna's many protest.
'If Tsuna doesn't want to tell me, I'll get it from Yamamoto.' He thought mischievously.
Dino had mostly spent time discussing the matter with Tsuna. He never gotten a chance to speak with the Rain guardian about the matter. If anything, Dino might have guessed something had already started. And Yamamoto would be more willing and honest about it than the brunet is, hopefully. So, that's why the two of them are sitting across from each other in the living room. Tsuna was upstairs putting Matthew to sleep after a long day.
"Yamamoto, I have to say, the play you and Tsuna did was great. So, did anything happen when we got home?" Dino asked.
"No, nothing really happened. Just the usual, I suppose..." Yamamoto answered.
"Really...? Maybe some improvements, discoveries, additional feelings for a certain person...?"
"Haha, those are funny questions you're asking. Are you researching for something?"
Dino's shoulders slumped down. The blond bronco recalled the first day he met him. He concluded Yamamoto as a 'clueless person that doesn't know the actual situation' sort of person. He probably doesn't know if he actually likes the brunet. Though, his absolute trust is there. Dino sighed tiredly as he closed his eyes. He could clearly guessed that talking about this was impossible. Tsuna denies it and Yamamoto probably doesn't know it yet.
Yet, Dino was obviously wrong. He just doesn't know it.
"I'm going to check up on Tsuna. Hopefully, he should be done and we can go to sleep. Goodnight Dino."
"Yeah, sure..."
Yamamoto exited the living room, leaving Dino to his thoughts. That silent moment gave him a chance to think up a plan or something between the lines. He just need the two of them to recognize it and get them to confess. It wouldn't be too hard. He just needs to set them up on a date. They could go to an amusement park, movies, or an aquarium. Settings like those will have them acknowledging their hidden feelings in no time. And he was sure lucky that tomorrow was a Sunday.
"You want to go where?" Tsuna asked.
"The zoo... Matthew should be given the chance to explore nature and see various animals." Dino explained, happily.
"No, never... Definitely not going to happen. I will never allow it."
"But why not? Don't you want him to?"
Tsuna gave it a brief thought before his face crimpled up in disgust. He then refused the offer as severely as the first time. Dino turned to Yamamoto for assistance. The Rain guardian shook his head in agreement with his boss. Matthew, who was on Yamamoto's lap, merely giggled as he ignored the scene. Dino demanded a reason for such a strong disagreement to the simple plan. Tsuna only gave him a frown and furrowed brows.
"We don't intend to ever bring Matthew there for a while. Only if Matthew is chained to Tsuna." Yamamoto answered.
"Why? What happened at the zoo?"
"Let's just say that Matthew likes his stuffed lion because he saw one up close without us."
Dino pondered on the thought before guessing the possible answer. His skin pale lightly as he slowly turned his head to the brunet. One of Tsuna's eyes twitched as the silent accusation. He stood up from his spot in the living room and left. The three males merely blinked at the sudden action. Apparently, Tsuna didn't want to discuss about anything anymore. Dino ruffled up his blond hair gently.
"Maybe going to the zoo is a bad idea... How about an amusement park?"
"Tsuna fought Mukuro at an amusement park. He's not a fan after that." Yamamoto answered.
"What about the library? The library should be safe."
"Tsuna isn't the sort of person that reads all the time..."
Dino dropped his head. The places that possibly contains a slight chance of romance in them either didn't fit Tsuna's interest or remind him his battle. It was easier if they just went to watch a movie and eat dinner at the end. Though, that's too simple for anyone's taste. The blond bronco raised his head. The two students might as well do that. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Dino inwardly smirked.
"How about a simple movie? And, after that, I'll whip us up a nice dinner." Dino suggested.
"Sure, we can do that. But why can't we watch a movie here?"
"We can do that too. I'll call Romario to bring something for us to watch."
"Alright then, I'll go tell Tsuna."
Yamamoto lifted the playful baby to his chest and left his chair behind. Dino proceeded to call his right-hand man. He was doing something beneficial for both his younger brother and his Rain guardian. Tsuna would one day thank him for it. He smiled happily as Romario answered the phone from the other side.
Night fell and the four boys were preparing for their movie night. Matthew occasionally yawned as he cuddled himself in Tsuna's arms. The brunet rubbed the baby's back to help him sleep. Yamamoto sat at his friend's right while Dino took the left. The three boys were watching Public Enemies for tonight. At first, Tsuna disapproved the movie, but Yamamoto managed to convince him. Apparently, it'll help improve themself in their 'Mafia' game. The brunet gave up protesting at that point.
The living room was dark and the only provided light came from the TV. Tsuna watched the movie, interested. Dino was relaxing himself since he had already watched the movie many times. Yamamoto was watching with the same amount of interest as Tsuna. Matthew was almost falling asleep, ignoring the gunshot sounds. The baby boy yawned again as his eyes slowly closed. Dino took that chance for part two of his plan. Part one had already completed itself.
"The movie is almost done. Matthew is falling asleep. Let me take him to bed." Dino whispered.
Tsuna nodded his head and hands over the baby to the blond bronco. Dino quickly made way out of the living room and upstairs to the bedroom. All he needs to do now is tuck Matthew in and call it a night. All the magic can happen by itself.
"Dino-san is really taking his time..." Tsuna commented.
"Maybe he went to bed. That could be the case." Yamamoto explained.
"I guess so... S-So, it's just you and me..."
"Yeah, until the movie ends. It's almost time for bed too."
Yamamoto wrapped an arm over the brunet's shoulder, drawing him closer. Tsuna's cheeks burst out red at the action. He could feel his body temperature rising up. Despite it being a cheesy and old-fashion move, he could see why some guys use it in cinema. The brunet just couldn't believe that he's experiencing something like this right out of a romantic fantasy. He could almost see steaming coming out of his ear from the heighten body temperature.
"You know, Tsuna, Dino asked me some really interesting things lately. Do you know why?" He inquired.
"N-Not that I know of... Dino-san is a r-really strange person."
"But it was really surprising... He asked me if something happened between us after the play. I wonder what made him get that sort of idea."
Yamamoto leaned forward to the brunet's direction. Tsuna soon realized that he was on the floor while Yamamoto is on top of him. The credits playing the ending songs filled the living room. Light brown eyes locked together with amber eyes. The blush on his cheeks lingered. Tsuna was taking some time to adjust what is currently happening between him and his Rain guardian. Yamamoto smiled tenderly.
"It was a pity that I couldn't say something did happen. Maybe we should... Right now."
Yamamoto leaned down, eyes half closed. The Rain guardian intended to go further until something made him stop abruptly. Tsuna screamed. The brunet screamed at the top of his lungs. The entire house echoed from his voice. Yamamoto quickly pulled himself away and Tsuna removed himself from the floor. The brunet ran away as if something was chasing after him. Yamamoto blinked.
"I guess I went too far..." Yamamoto whispered.
That night, Yamamoto decided that it was best to sleep on the couch tonight.
I'm sorry for it being short. Like I said, it was practically forced. But it should keep you entertained. Well, I'll see you in the next update. I really need that muse for this, if you know what I mean.
