This was coming in late because I was like 'what the fudge did I write?' and 'how am I suppose to get out of this?'. This is the answer. Sorry if it's... awkward? Enjoy.

Thanks goes to Ezrudine for being my beta reader for this. You're awesome for taking up the job for all three. Thanks again!

Chapter 17: Grandfather Iemitsu

Tsuna was sitting in front of Yamamoto. The bed shifted as they both moved into the middle of it with their arms pressed against each other. The two students kept quiet for a minute before looking at each other awkwardly. They agreed to actually sit down and discuss over the matter. Tsuna didn't really see the point of it, but there were clearly some misunderstandings.

"Okay, let's start. Where do you want to start?" Tsuna asked.

"We'll start with the baby issue. What's wrong with having a kid with me?"

"You have to think about it; us together? There's nothing going on between us now. And the thought of adding children is out of the question."

"So, this is based on our relationship? Of course, the future and present are different. We could be together in the future."

Tsuna pursed his lips in frustration. Yamamoto was not listening to him. And the brunet didn't want to explain it in the smallest details.

"Yes, it's different. But, we don't like each other in that way."

Tsuna felt something push him down to the bed. Before he could blink, Yamamoto was hovering over him. His hands were near the brunet's head. Tsuna noticed something in Yamamoto's eyes he never thought he would see. Love and passion were shining in those amber paired eyes. Tsuna turned away. His cheeks were burning red. He couldn't look at his Rain guardian anymore.

"Who said that I didn't like you...? I thought you would figure it out from my hints."

"It's hard to consider them hints when you said it meant nothing." Tsuna whispered.

"I said that because I didn't know how you felt."

"And what are you trying to say?"

He held his breath — or maybe it was caught in his throat, Tsuna wasn't sure. The brunet was expecting Yamamoto to say it was a feeble crush. He would believe that. He would have also expected it to be a prank to mess with him. He would have absolutely believed in that. Actually, he would have believed in anything that got him out of this awkward position and get him to move on.

Ba-thump... Ba-thump...

Tsuna just didn't expect to be kissed.

Yamamoto pulled away with a faint smile when he was satisfied.

"I love you. I always had since the day you saved me."

Tsuna didn't know how long it was since Yamamoto's confession. The two of them were sitting on the bed; Yamamoto had an arm wrapped around Tsuna as the brunet rested on his chest.

"Yamamoto... What are we? I mean, are we still friends or something else?"

"I was hoping something else. I did confess my feelings to you." Yamamoto gave a small laugh.

Tsuna slowly removed himself from Yamamoto's warm embrace. The Rain guardian watched carefully as the brunet sat at the edge, hands covering his face. He got to his hands and knees, crawling to his 'boyfriend'.

"Tsuna, what's wrong?"

"There's... I don't think you'll like it."

Yamamoto thought it over for a minute. He was mentally debating if it was a good choice to figure out what was actually going on. He was worried that Tsuna would suddenly say that he didn't want to be together with him. They did begin their relationship just recently. That might have been a bad move. Or it could be something trivial. Maybe it had to deal with Kyoko. Yamamoto was all too familiar with the brunet's innocent crush on the orange head.

"Well, we won't know unless you tell me."

"I was thinking that we... Put this on hold..."

"On hold? Why?"

"Because I don't want to have our relationship to get in the way of raising Matthew."

Yamamoto blinked.

"I don't think that would happen. We're already a happy family so that shouldn't really be the problem."

"Think about it. If our relationship turns sour, it's going to affect Matthew."

"Then, we can work it out."

"That's not the point. I think we should date after Matthew is with his parents."

Yamamoto didn't know why there should be any issue with their discussion. However, Tsuna was putting his foot down on the matter and wouldn't change his mind any time soon. The Rain guardian nodded his head with a side smile. There was no point of ruffling his 'soon-to-be boyfriend'. He took the brunet into his arms again and dragged him back into the middle of the bed. Tsuna smiled at the gesture. The two of them lay on the bed, limbs entangled with each other.

"Does it mean we can't do this?"

"I would say yes, but I'm beginning to like this." Tsuna gave a small laugh.

"Can we put the 'on hold' on hold? Just so we can enjoy this...?"

"Ma—"

Before Tsuna could finish his sentence, Matthew burst into the room. His eyes were watery from the tears building up. The two students separated from each other and rushed over to their eleven year old son. Tsuna tried to coo him, trying to cheer him up. Yamamoto was examining the boy's body for any possible injuries or what might have been the cause of the tears. Their attention shot up when they caught Dino standing in front of them, scratching his head nervously. Tsuna immediately stood up and stomped his way to the blond bronco.

"What happened? Did you do something?"

"No, of course not, I was... Uh. . . Trying to calm him down...?"

"Calm him down? From what?"

"He might have thought... You two were breaking up because of him..."

Tsuna furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. Yamamoto was hugging Matthew on the bed, calming him.

"Why would he think Yamamoto and I are breaking up?"

"Because, apparently, your future selves have been arguing. . . A lot. I would assume it's the mood swings from the pregnancy, but I wouldn't really know."

Tsuna rolled his eyes and walked over to Yamamoto and Matthew.

"Matthew, your father and I aren't fighting. We just needed to sort some things out. We're okay now."

"B-But Papa Y-Yamamoto and you were upset..." He cried sorrowfully.

"We're not anymore. And if you want, we can go out as a family. What do you say to some ice cream?" Yamamoto asked, happily.

The sad frown on Matthew's face brightened into a wide smile. He nodded his head as fast as he could in agreement. Yamamoto lifted him high before safely putting him down. Tsuna told them to get ready while he talked with Uncle Dino. The blond bronco mentally gulped at the silent danger that was growing as the brunet approached him. Everyone was already gone before Dino could breathe a word. Tsuna had his arms crossed against his chest with a smile.

"I don't know what happened downstairs, but I'll just assume you had nothing to do with it. However, I hope your family has a large amount of cash."

With that, Tsuna walked out of the room.

The three boys returned home to an unexpected surprise. Tsuna was the one that was the least grateful to the unannounced visit. Iemitsu was sitting in the living room, drinking green tea. The EA looked back before smiling goofily at his son. He quickly stood up and removed the baby from Tsuna's grasp. Yamamoto took it as a friendly gesture, smiling as well. It wasn't too long for Matthew to recognize the younger Iemitsu. The eleven year old boy was cheering in happiness as he greeted his 'grandfather'. Unconsciously, one of Tsuna's eyes twitched in response.

"Dad, what are you doing here?" Tsuna asked, tensely.

"Oh, that's actually a funny story. Your mother kicked me off."

That was a surprise since Nana, his mother, was a kind and absentminded person. She didn't seem like the person that would do that; unless, there was an absolute reason.

"Why? Did you do something?"

"I'm not sure. She said something about creating memories with you. That's when your mother kicked me off of the ship." Iemitsu laughed.

Tsuna supposed that it was Nana-like to say creating the memory part. However, he suspected that Reborn was the person that involved himself in the 'kicking off' part.

"She needs pictures as evidence, right? We can do that and you can leave."

"Actually, she wants me to stay for at least three days."

"What? No! You can't stay that long."

"No worries. We can share a room or something. Anyways, this must be Matthew. I thought you'd be. . . Smaller."

"That's not nice to say, grandfather Iemitsu."

Iemitsu raised a curious brow before looking at the two teenagers. Before the man could say anything, Dino came down from upstairs to see that everyone had returned home. He wanted to welcome them back, but his voice was caught in his throat. Tsuna was glaring at him with high intensity. Dino wanted to retreat, but Iemitsu forced him to come down to do some greetings. The older man's loud laughter echoed throughout the house as he raised Matthew high in the air. The brunet left Yamamoto to deal with the crazy man while he pulled Dino to the side.

"Why didn't you tell me he was here?" He whispered, venomously.

"How can I do that when you don't even have a cell phone? You really need to get one. They come in handy when your father wants to come and crash here." Dino whispered.

"Never mind the cell phone. You take Matthew for a nap. I'll deal with my dad."

Tsuna and Dino returned to the chattering group. Matthew was chanting to go higher. At this point, he was about to slam into the ceiling until Tsuna interrupted. The brunet snatched the child from his father and passed him to the blond bronco. Dino quickly excused himself and rushed out of the room. Yamamoto quieted down his laughter when he saw Tsuna crossing his arms against his chest. Iemitsu did the same as well.

"Dad, I would appreciate it if you don't do that. Anyways, about your stay... You can spend it somewhere else."

"I don't understand. I thought you wanted some bonding time with your old man."

"Well, things change. And I'm raising Matthew for this year. I don't want any distractions."

"You'll need a helping hand then. You're still going to school so you can't keep an eye on him twenty-four seven."

Tsuna furrowed his brows together.

"That's where Dino-san comes in. He's the one that Reborn sent over to watch Matthew while we're gone."

"Yes, but he has his own family to take care of."

"He doesn't mind. Matthew actually likes him."

That wasn't far from the truth. He couldn't really say that it wasn't a lie either. Eleven year old Matthew was fine with Dino, but one year old Matthew has some difficulties bonding with the blond bronco. However, he wasn't going to admit that. They were doing just fine as they were before. They didn't need any additional and unnecessarily outside help. Yamamoto stepped next to his friend in case his support was required. Iemitsu concluded that his presence was definitely not welcomed by his own son. Yet, Nana said she wanted him to create memories with his son. And he will do it with enthusiasm.

"Then it'll be great! Now, if you excuse me, I'll be taking your mother's room for a nap."

Tsuna wanted to protest, but his father was out before he could even breathe a word. He frowned in irritation at his failed attempt to remove the man he calls a father out of the house. Yamamoto, who was standing next to him the entire time, smiled sheepishly as he wraps his arm around the brunet.

"We'll do some bedroom arrangements later."

"I don't want to do rearrangements! He's not staying here!"

"It's only for three days; won't be for too long."

"I just...! I'm tired. I'm going to check up on Matthew and take a nap."

Yamamoto only stood still. Tsuna took that as a silent agreement and walked away. The brunet didn't get far though. He felt a hand tugging him back by the wrist. He looked over his shoulder to see Yamamoto's famous smile.

"We'll pull through."

Tsuna kept quiet.

"Tsuna, it's another obstacle."

"I know. I just don't... I sometimes can't handle my dad. I need to cool my head."

Yamamoto nodded and released his hold on the brunet. Tsuna smiled in return and left the living room. The Rain guardian scratched his head.

"So... What do I do now?" He asked himself.

Yes, what is Yamamoto going to do? I seriously don't know... Hopefully, I can get some ideas later. I'm going to guess that this is awkward and messed up. I don't blame you. The usual: review, favorite, and follow. Reviews are gifts to writers...
