Hello. Sorry for the long wait. Everything in my life screwed me over and I'm trying to make time for this. Then, that still wasn't enough. But yeah... Enjoy.
Chapter 19: Morning Fishing
Tsuna was beyond confused. Today was the mark of his father's first day at the Sawada's house. Iemitsu thought it would be a grand idea to wake him up at five in the morning. Then, he was dragged to some unknown place in Namimori to fish. Since Tsuna was exhausted, he couldn't comprehend what was happening until seven. They finally returned home after Iemitsu caught twelve fishes while Tsuna got nothing. The brunet supposed that it was the cold morning that snapped him into his senses.
Yamamoto didn't find it a grand idea either. When he woke up, he was hoping to see the brunet next to him. Instead, no one was there. He spent half an hour searching for the missing brunet until he heard the door closing. He ran to the entry hall to see Iemitsu smiling like an idiot with Tsuna ready to drop. The Rain guardian rushed over to the boy and held him in his arms.
"Tsuna, what's wrong? What were you doing?"
"Fishing... Unknown place... Cold..." Tsuna muttered, faintly.
"There's no better way to catch a fresh fish in the morning, right, son?" Iemitsu boomed, loudly.
Tsuna wasn't able to retaliate in his own defense. He went into unconsciousness as his cold body was being held by the confused Yamamoto. The baseball ace stared from the EA to his brunet. Iemitsu happily marched into the living room, ready to cook a good breakfast from the early catching. Yamamoto carefully carried his sort-of-lover upstairs into their shared bedroom. He ease the brunet down on the bed and tucked him in.
"Sleep tight, Tsuna."
Yamamoto walked to the door and closed it. He caught sight of a yawning Dino at the corner of his eye. He turned to the blond bronco with his usual cheerful smile.
"Dino, can you entertain Tsuna's dad? I want to see Matthew before I talk to him." Yamamoto explained.
"Okay. What is Tsuna doing?"
"He's... Sleeping. It was a long night for him."
Dino raised a curious brow but didn't say anything in response. He merely shrugged his shoulders and went down the stairs. Yamamoto sighed as he ran his hand through his spiky black hair. He went down the hall to Matthew's bedroom. Just because Iemitsu is Tsuna's father does not mean Matthew should take a risk of possibly getting hurt from the man's recklessness. The small baby was snoozing peacefully with his blue mittens on. Best to prevent unnecessary scratching.
"Sleep a bit longer, Matthew. Papa is going to have a long talk with Grandpa." Yamamoto whispered.
With that, he left the room as quietly as he could. He made way downstairs, listening to the sound of the pan frying something. The baseball ace can easily guessed that it was fish from earlier. Yamamoto entered the living room to see that Dino was fully awake and tensed with the EA from Vongola under the same roof as him. Well, that started a good morning.
"You're Iemitsu Sawada, Tsuna's father, right?" Yamamoto asked, casually.
"That's right. You're Takeshi Yamamoto. Reborn have told me everything about you. You're apparently the natural one in the family."
"Yeah, that's me."
"Thanks for helping Tsuna with this. Nana was concerned about it since he never did anything like that by himself." Iemitsu explained.
"So, it wasn't about your wife kicking you out?"
Iemitsu shrugged his shoulders passively. He threw the fried fish up and caught it perfectly with the sizzling pan. There was a long awkward silence.
"So... How's the Ninth?" Dino asked, edgy.
"He's doing well for his age. I wouldn't worry too much about him."
There was nothing more awkward than this. Iemitsu was going on with his cooking as the other two were sitting down. None of them were expecting Tsuna to be down to handle the situation — they're still hoping though — than them sitting here with a dangerous man. The EA looked over his shoulder, whistling with lips sticking out.
"I heard from Reborn that there was something going on with Tsuna. Anyone willing to fill me in?" Iemitsu asked, casually.
"There isn't anything particular... He's still the same." Dino answered.
"Well, that's good. So... How is his love life?"
Yamamoto stared at Dino and Dino stared at Yamamoto. The Rain guardian wasn't sure if that was his chance to step in and proclaim himself as Tsuna's lover. The brunet specifically said that they are on hold with the relationship status while Matthew is with them. The blond bronco wasn't sure what to say because he knew there was something going on with the two students. Would it be normal to say, "The person your son is dating is sitting behind you"? That didn't sound natural in his head.
"Uh... I think Tsuna is more focused on Matthew to care about dating." Dino answered, quickly.
"Is that so? Because I heard from Reborn that Tsuna has his eyes on someone; someone really close."
The man hit the bulls-eye.
He had no idea how right he is at the moment. Dino noticed how thin Yamamoto's lips went as he tried to smile. He can see sweat pouring on the side of his temple. The blond bronco immediately got the hint that he was not supposed to say anything on the matter. He thought it was to save Yamamoto from the possible lecture of dating Iemitsu's son and a possible threat with promising pain at the end. Dino slowly nodded his head, feeling serious. Iemitsu blinked once before looking back at his grilled fish.
"Anyways, I thought it would be nice to have a father-son bonding so I took him out fishing. He enjoyed it so much, I just know it!" The EA cheered.
The two doubted that Tsuna enjoyed it at that ungodly hour.
The two young men listened intently for any possible savior to burst in and save them from the bizarre man. Their prayers were answered. From upstairs to downstairs, they heard loud footsteps approaching them with furious speed. Tsuna appeared and he didn't look too happy. The two young man could hear an audible gulp.
"Dad!" Tsuna roared.
I personally want to say that I am sorry for having this one as a short, non-interesting chapter. But, this one will be a stepping stone and I can write a better one after. Anyways, thank you for reading this chapter. I hope there are some loyal readers that still likes this. Review, favorite, follow to show the love and support.
