Chapter 20: Known Intentions

"You have some nerve doing that to your own son."

Tsuna was practically sending death glares at his father. Iemitsu staggered back in comical fear. Saying 'you look like your mother when you're mad' seemed inappropriate at the time. Nor did it seem like it would settle down the angered brunet.

"Tsuna, I thought that was a great way to spend our father-son boding time."

"What makes you think dragging me out of nowhere early in the morning to fish is a good thing?"

"Reborn suggested it."

As if a miracle happened, Tsuna paused. He froze with his mouth wide open — most likely to yell at him again.

"Reborn asked you to do all this?"

"Yeah. Before your mother kicked me out, he gave me a list to do with you to strengthen our bond."

Understanding, Dino did connect it all together once that was said. Reborn is a man of his own mystery. There wouldn't be any doubt in him to believe in every word. Reborn would make the External Advisor do something as go fishing at an ungodly hour. But that's how he gets the job done. If it was now, Tsuna wouldn't have agreed and would have come up with an excuse. The hitman could read the brunet like a book and did a counterattack.

However, Tsuna still didn't appreciate it.

"Where is that list?"

"Oh, he said to memorize it and burn the paper. Something about you tearing it up..."

Reborn was too good at this.

"I'm not going to have him get his way."

The brunet marched off in the opposite direction. Yamamoto followed him in case he did something that wasn't considered safe. Dino remained behind to avoid unnecessary situations. It was silent for a few minutes until the smell of smoke entered the two men's nostril. Iemitsu immediately turned to his burnt fish, switched the stove off, and drop his good breakfast into the water filled sink.

"Tsuna, what are you doing?" Yamamoto asked, concerned.

The two of them were standing in their former shared bedroom. Tsuna had already made himself active to roaming the room and grabbing all the belongings of his father. He laid them down on the bed next to an open luggage.

"I knew there was something wrong when he said my mother kicked him off that cruise. She never would since she loves him too much."

"That doesn't explain why you're packing all his things."

"Reborn must of sent him here for a reason. I don't want to know or care. Matthew would be involved if Reborn wants him to be."

"Are you saying Reborn would risk Matthew's safety for this?"

"I don't know. He would... I just don't trust him right now. Not when I'm responsible for an innocent baby..."

"And that's why you're leaving." Tsuna said.

Iemitsu was playing with the cheerful Matthew. The sight of his son caught his attention so he returned the baby to his Uncle Dino. Yamamoto was merely following along with the situation, not saying anything. Tsuna had him sit down in the kitchen away from Dino and Matthew. He didn't find it important for them to hear this. The brunet had the packed luggage lying on the table. Iemitsu was just staring at it.

"You can't possibly see me as some sort of threat. I wouldn't do anything to harm Matthew. Unless he does something to prove otherwise..."

"Dad!"

"Kidding, I was kidding. But there's nothing going on. I'm not under some mission to go after you, your friends, or the baby. Nana would kill me if I did."

"See, Tsuna? There's nothing to worry about. This is your dad. He wouldn't lie." Yamamoto added.

Tsuna hummed in thought. His hyper intuition was buzzing red alert when he was staring at his father. Yamamoto seemed to trust him. That's saying something since Reborn considered him a natural hitman. The brunet relaxed his tensed shoulders and sighed.

"I'm sorry for accusing you then. But don't think I'll let anything you do go. Especially when it involves Matthew..."

"I swear to you that I won't do anything that would lead Matthew to harm."

"Well, that was a day, don't you think?" Yamamoto asked, cheerfully.

"I'd say... I really don't want to talk about it. I want to sleep already."

Yamamoto nodded his head in agreement. The brunet entered the bed and wrapped himself with the warm blanket on his body. Worrying over nothing will only cause unnecessary stress. That's what Tsuna is thinking with his eyes closed. He sighed and went off to sleep.

Iemitsu was sitting on the bed with a cellphone in one hand. Next to him was an empty luggage. He unpacked everything that was in there. The only thing left was to set aside the luggage and call a certain person. The phone rang twice before the called was answered by the other person. A familiar baby voice entered Iemitsu's ear.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Reborn, it's me."

"Iemitsu... Have you settled in?"

"More or less, you can say. But Tsuna is a little suspicious about something."

"Don't worry about him. Make sure you succeed in our plan."

"Understood."

I do have to apologize for anyone that is disappointed. Yes, this update is short. But it's kind of hard to brain storm for this story. However, I'm going to get this complete one way or another. Hopefully, the next update, it'll be longer. Review, favorite, follow to show love to a writer that hasn't given up.
