Chapter 90
The World Only We Know
Sora woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of knocking on his hotel room door. He let out a loud yawn slipped out of bed with a grunt. Who was possibly knocking on his door at this time of night? Whoever it was had a blatant disregard for the other people along the hallway trying to get to sleep. The knocks did seem desperate however, judging by the rapidity at which the knocks occurred. He only hoped it was something worth waking him up for.
"Is there something wr-MMPH!"
The last thing Sora saw before a fist was driven into his stomach was the look of lethargy on Kohle's face. Sora dropped to his knees and curled into a ball. He looked up in time to see another door fly open somewhere further down the corridor. He could actually tell how far away they were as his vision seemed to be failing him. Darkness took him as the person ran towards them.
When Sora next woke up, he could hear the crashing of waves against one another. The material he was also lying on was not the soft bed that he had been in previous, but grainy and fluffy instead. His hands were the first to move against the smooth texture, clenching and reopening his hands to feel the sand and watching as it slowly fell out of his hands.
"Sora!"
An eclipse blocked his view of the orange sky. He blinked and allowed his eyes to adjust. When they did they finally came upon a consternated Luna. She helped him sit and he looked around to get a better idea of where he was. He hadn't needed to look either. They were on the Destiny Islands. A pleasant cool breeze drifted in like it was personally welcoming Sora back home.
"This is your home, right? I remember coming here in the Realm of Darkness," Luna said. "You know, except this is obviously better."
"But… why are we here?" Sora asked. How could they have possibly been in Radiant Garden one moment and the islands the next? He searched his memories for an answer, and the moment he came up with an answer was the very same that he caught sight of the man who had put him here.
Kohle leaned against the railing on the wooden pathway leading towards the treehouse. Suddenly, he leapt off from the second level and landed on the ground before starting his walk towards them.
"You brought us here? Why?" Sora asked.
"Not her, just you. She followed," Kohle said. He jumped down from the raised platform onto the beach and stared straight at Sora. "I could have decided to kill you, you know? For all the trouble you've caused. Do you even have any idea what is happening right now?"
A brief pause followed before Sora answered. "A Keyblade War."
Kohle raised his brows. "That's it? You've brought about the end of the world, not that you would even know it. There are no worlds anymore, there are no realms of light and dark… there's only suffering and what waits beyond it. Instead of just acting outside of the hourglass that we're supposed to protect, you shattered it."
"David Xanatos shattered it!" Luna defended Sora.
"David Xanatos wouldn't have been able to do what he had done if it were not for your impulsive and reckless nature. You seem to enjoy jumping from place to place without thinking of how your actions affect those worlds. Getting involved in political affairs, going around and telling everyone about the Keyblade… you've gotten too big for your boots."
Sora looked at Luna for a moment before turning to back to Kohle. "So what, you're just going to kill me then?"
"Were you not listening? I said I could have decided to kill you. But I understand it wasn't fully your fault. Because of that, I'm willing to grant you amnesty," Kohle said.
"Amnesty? What are you talking about?" Sora asked.
"I'm saying that blood doesn't need to be needlessly spilt tonight. I won't come after you, but in return, I only ask that you never use that Keyblade of yours again. Since you seem to have a hard time keeping your own promises, I even helped. You'll stay here, where you belong. You'll never interfere with the other worlds again, not that there are other worlds to interfere with anymore," Kohle said.
Sora's eyes widened in shock before crying out. "You can't do that! I have a right to be there, along with my friends. I know I messed up, okay? I had a decision to make between saving Luna and letting her die. That was how I saw the choice at that point. What did you think I would do? Wouldn't you do the same for anyone you cared about? I saved Luna, and regardless of the results, I'm glad I did."
"You're only human. To human is to err, right? Maybe, you'd be right. Maybe I would choose to save someone I care about. I suppose most would. But most people aren't like you, Sora. We're Keyblade Wielders. We're supposed to protect humanity. Even if our own happiness is sacrificed to do so, that is the burden we must bear." Kohle looked from his hands up at Luna. "Tell me something, Luna. If your life meant billions of others could be saved, would you give it up?"
But Sora stepped in. "How dare you? Don't you dare bring her into this! You're talking about putting value on a person's life. You have no right to say one person's life is less important than a billion others. I may not ever be the Keyblade Wielder you people want me to be, whatever that is, but I do know that I will only ever be me. I'll only ever follow through with what's in my heart."
"If I recall correctly, it was you who brought Luna up in the first place. My point being that if your heart is volatile as it proved when you made that decision, then you lack the necessary qualifications to make a rational decision. I don't even know if you've fulfilled all of Yeul's prophecy yet. For all I know, this could be the beginning of something much worse down the line and until that's resolved, it would be idiotic to let you continue as is. Don't make this worse for yourself. Go home, Sora. I'm sure your parents miss you dearly."
Kohle turned his back to them and summoned his Keyblade, slashing it through the air and opening up a corridor of light. He then turned to them again and extended his hand. "Luna, you can't stay here."
"Who are you to tell me that?" Luna shot back with an unyielding look of coldness.
"A friend… of someone you know very well." Kohle raised a placating hand. He nudged his head to his left and Luna and Sora looked over in the direction of the shack.
"Astra…" Luna whispered as her friend walked over to her.
Arriving in front of her, Astra drew her into a hug. "I'm glad you're alright, Sea Salt. When I couldn't find you on Isla Cruces, I was completely distraught and wracked with guilt. I should have protected you, but I left you alone. I'm sorry."
"It's okay. The problem wasn't you. It was within me. My Heartless. I couldn't control it, but I'm free now. Um, gee, this is a first," Luna noted. It had always been she who had come to Astra for comfort. Luna gently patted Astra on the back, glad to feel the warmth of her friend again.
"I still couldn't help you though. I'm a horrible friend. That's why I've decided, Luna. I'm done with Moira's Crescent. Let's go back to Alexander and just… live. Heck, we don't even need to stay in Alexander if you don't want to. The world is our oyster, as they say," Astra said.
"Astra, I-"
"Is there something wrong?" Astra asked.
"I can't go with you," Luna shouted out with her eyes closed. It hurt to even say the words, let alone face her friend with her eyes open.
"Luna…"
"I'm not going to abandon Sora. It's not right," Luna said. She looked past Astra to Kohle and repeated, "It isn't right! I'm not going to say whether I'd sacrifice myself for the rest of humanity because frankly, it doesn't matter what I say. Sora picked what he picked and I'm not going to berate him for it. What's done is done, you can't change the past. Every day I wish that my parents were with me, that I hadn't- hadn't killed them, but I did. I regret it every day, and sometimes I've even wondered whether I deserve to live this life in their place. I would know now that they would want what's best for me. I want to realize their wish. Make this world a better place, one that they would be proud of. Sora's the same. If the darkness truly is coming in full force, then we need all the light we can get. Don't take that hope away from people, or you're just as bad as that darkness. Sora comes with us, or I'm not coming at all. That's my decision."
Sora glanced at Luna out of the corner of his eye with a small smile. Maybe somewhere deep down, it had also been a purely selfish decision, spurred on by seeing Yeul, Auron and Ansem lose their lives in front of them. Two of them had even been motivated out of their beliefs of wanting to keep him safe. He couldn't deny that maybe just this once, he wanted to something to go his way for once. Heck, he had been willing to dethrone the monarchy in Alexander if it had meant rescuing Luna. Even if his own actions were selfish though, he couldn't let that keep him down. He would not allow Xanatos to win by showing defeat.
"You're being unreasonable, Luna. If you're worried about him, then at least he'll be safer here. Just-"
"Astra, what happened to you?" Luna suddenly asked. Astra seemed momentarily stunned by this question. Sora was as well.
"What do you mean-"
"You want to leave Moira's Crescent and run away with me. The Astra I knew… she would always face up to her responsibilities. She would never run away like you're doing now. How can I be the one who understands that and not you? There is nowhere to run. We have to fight. I could never forgive myself if I lived in a dream while the rest of the world suffered the harshness of reality."
"It's not running away!" Astra refuted. "Trying to find a better life for you isn't running away. Trying to keep you safe isn't running away. When you disappeared in Isla Cruces, I realized how every single second is precious. You never know when something tragic will happen."
Sora looked briefly down at the sandy ground before looking at Luna. "Luna, maybe she's right. Maybe-"
"Sora, shut up," Luna interrupted. "You don't get to decide. This time, it's my decision and I'm sticking with you."
Astra looked from Luna to Sora and back again. Her eyes searched for something, but it looked like she had come up with nothing in the end. Instead, Sora had found something in her eyes. It was fear. Sora had a bad feeling about this.
"Luna, please think about this. This isn't where you belong," Kohle began.
"And who are you to decide that?" Sora asked. As soon as the words left his mouth, he regretted them instantly. Astra lashed out, her Keyblade only inches away from Sora's face as he leaned backwards.
"Stay out of this! Luna's not safe with you. It was because you decided to stop travelling with her that she almost died in the first place!" Astra strained out through held back tears.
"So out of some bizarre case of Stockholm syndrome, I've charmed my way into her heart to the point where she doesn't want to leave me? Is that what you're saying?" An increasingly annoyed Sora asked. He summoned the Kingdom Key and pointed it at Astra. "You really hate me, don't you? You think I took Luna away from you, and you're angry. Or are you jealous? Either way, I don't care. Attack me if you want but I won't hesitate to fight back. I'm not staying on this island no matter how much you want-"
It wasn't Astra that moved forward however, but Kohle. The corridor of light disappeared behind him as he and Sora locked blades. Astra swooped in to assist Kohle but Luna blew her back with Aeroga. Astra was sent spiralling in a forty-five degree angle that sent her into the waterfall near the secret cave.
Kohle backed off and looked over to Astra, who had stood back up and slowly made her way over to them, wet and miserable.
Luna towards Sora and whispered, "I know we need to get back to Radiant Garden, but there's no other way other than that portal he opened. Maybe all this arguing is pointless."
"It's not. Even if I have to force him, I will make him take us back," Sora replied. Even if Kohle was doing what he thought was the right thing, Sora had every right fight back when it was something that involved him. That and he suspected that Kohle's motives weren't all entirely with the safety of the world in mind. The only problem, and it was a difficult problem to confront, was that Kohle was immortal, or at least that seemed the case. His wounds seemed to heal instantly. He was sure a direct confrontation would end badly but he had to try all the same. He didn't believe that anyone, the least of all being Kohle, was invulnerable to damage. He couldn't believe that. As long as Kohle was human, it stood that he had a weakness.
Sora charged forward and cut upwards. Kohle sidestepped the attack and slashed through the air. Blizzard projectiles flew out, hitting against Sora and knocking him down.
"Stand down, Sora. This isn't a fight you're going to win," Kohle said.
"Maybe not alone he won't," Luna said. Dream Seeker appeared in her hands and she swung in an upside arc. The tip of her Keyblade caught the sand and launched it into Kohle's face.
"GAH!" Kohle put a hand to his face and stumbled backwards. Luna cloaked her foot in fire and kicked forward. Kohle managed to hook his Keyblade around Luna's ankle however and pulled, sending her spinning forward. Before he could do anything more, Sora warped in front of him and threw a right punch. His fist connected with the side of Kohle's mouth and knocked him backwards. Luna moved in to strike only to find out her Keyblade knocked out of her hands from Astra's ice magic.
"Damn you, Sora!" Astra yelled, running straight for him. Luna moved in between them, leaving Astra with no choice but to stop in her tracks. "Fine. I see how it is. You're not going to leave me with any choice, are you, Lu?"
"There is nothing to see. I'm your friend and I always will be, but if you can't even respect my choice then I'm going to have to show you my conviction," Luna said.
"Fine then. I'll show you mine too. Luna, this is for your own good," Astra said.
Kairi held her cupped hands towards her mouth and waited in silence along with the rest of her friends as Riku's statue was sunk into the crystal blue Atlantean waters. It was a gamble, of course, choosing Atlantis in the first place as opposed to directly going to Yen Sid, but stories of their advanced technology had her believing that it was a chance worth taking. While the heart fragment piece resided above Atlantis, many great things could happen, some that had helped to sustain and prolong Atlantean lives for thousands of years.
Riku's statue was currently submerged in water, with the only other person in the water along with it being Kida. She was confident that Atlantean technology could work wonders as it always did, though she had never come across a case of petrification before. While that may have been a cause for concern, Kairi trusted Kida's wisdom in these matters.
Kida's pendant lit up as she murmured some kind of chant under her breath. The water around her began to glow a spring green which resonated across the entire lake.
Please work. Please work. Please work, urged Kairi inwardly. Losing Riku now would be like adding insult to injury after losing Roxas and, indirectly it seemed, Xion, who currently back on the Highwind being consoled by Lea. She still couldn't believe that the same Xion she knew had so brutally executed Kefka. Execution… the word left a bitter taste in her mouth, but it had also been just as bitter to watch.
Then, Riku's statue began to glow, dulling and lighting up slowly at first, but with less of an interval in between by the passing second. Kairi had to remind herself to breathe once again out of sheer excitement.
The water returned to its usual bluish hue. It was only undisturbed by the silver haired teen as he emerged from the water, gasping for air. His head buzzed about mechanically in confusion.
"Riku!" Kairi gleefully yelled.
"Kairi? I… I can't see right now. Where are we?" Riku asked.
"Relax. You're back in Atlantis. The light will soon reach your eyes again," Kida said.
"Kida? But, how did I even get here? Weren't we in Twilight Town?"
"You don't remember? You saved me." Kairi waited for Kida to help him onto dry land before summarizing everything in between when he was paralyzed by the Chimera to now.
"That's quite the riveting tale to tell someone who just woke up from being a statue. I can't believe it though. Roxas… does Sora know?" Riku asked.
"No, I haven't been able to get into contact with him and even if I were, I'm not sure I would be able to tell him," Kairi said.
"I can understand that feeling. Roxas was once a part of him. Still, we'll have to tell him and the others sooner or later. It might as well be sooner," Riku reasoned.
"I know," Kairi said. She tensed up suddenly and then relaxed. She couldn't keep it in anymore. "Riku, I'm sorry. When we last left off, it wasn't exactly in the best of circumstances. I nagged and complained and I shouldn't have. When I was in that mansion, trying to rescue Xion and Roxas, I realized how much I depend on you and Sora. I felt like a little kid who was lost in a huge town. No hard feelings?"
Riku gave a small laugh and reached out, accidently touching her head at first but soon finding her right shoulder. "Kairi, you don't need to apologize over something like that. If it helps you feel better, we were both assholes to each other."
Kairi chuckled. "That sounds about right. Hey, Riku?"
"Hmm?"
"I've decided to stay here, for the time being," Kairi announced. Not only Riku but Kida, Milo and Max turned to look at her in surprise. She continued, "I want to find out more about my past. Not mine exactly, but the Kairis before me. That starts with this one here. Call it intuition, or maybe it's my heart speaking out to me, but I can sense the storm that's coming, the electricity that's cracking through the air. It's tumultuous and terrifying and it feels like the ground beneath my feet will break apart at any second. Something is telling me that I have to do this. If I can trace the Princesses of Hearts' paths, maybe I'll find some clue to stop whatever it is that's happening."
With his eyes still closed, Riku only had his smile to convey his approval. "If that's what your heart's decided, then you should listen to it. It's never led you down a wrong path before so there's no reason to doubt it now."
"Thanks, Riku," Kairi said. She looked toward Max and held out her hand. "It's been fun, Max. You've done a lot for me. Say hi to Goofy for me when you see him again."
"I learned a lot from you," Max said. He took her hand but opposed to shaking it, he pulled her into a hug. Kairi giggled and returned the hug before pulling away.
"Maybe I should stay with you-" Riku started but Kairi raised a hand in objection.
"The world needs you right now. More than ever. I can't hold you back. You need to do what you can and I need to do what I can," Kairi told him. The line of Riku's mouth became lopsided but he nodded in understanding nonetheless. Kairi moved in and hugged him. She put all her being into it as well. For some reason she couldn't shake the feeling that she had to make this one count.
A torrent of water rose up from the ocean and travelled forward, smashing into Sora. The pressure slammed him into the ground and rendered him immobile. It was like a thousand knives were puncturing his body repeatedly, and it was all he could do to hold his breath and last for as long as he could.
His reprieve came in the form of a lightning bolt that cut through the air and struck Kohle in the side, causing him to lose control of the water. Sora closed his eyes and waited for the rest of the bombarding flood to fall on him. He rolled about like a fish, coughing and spluttering up some of the water that had found its way inside his mouth. His nostrils also seemed to burn, with water having entered them as well.
"Sora, you okay?" Luna asked as she shielded him from the front.
"You know the taste of sea water? Yeah, I don't think I just tasted it," Sora said in a gruff tone. As he stood up however, he found his knees shaking violently. He darted forward quickly and slashed back and forth. He was determined to cut off any space in between Kohle and himself so as to prevent him from using any more magic.
On the other side of things, Luna was doing her best to parry her friend's attacks. As much as she wanted to put on a brave face, the thought of actually harming her friend was impossible. That's why she found herself holding back.
Astra transformed her Keyblade into a halberd and lunged forward without hesitation. She at least seemed to be perfectly fine. Luna dodged and ducked left and right, avoiding the combination of swings and thrusts from Astra's weapon, only to be knocked to the ground from a wave of light that Astra had created with an upwards swing.
"Where's this conviction of yours, huh, Sea Salt? If you really wanted what you said you wanted, you would have come at me in full force by now," Astra said. Luna couldn't understand it. Why was Astra egging her on? Did she want Luna to keep fighting her?
"Astra, did something happen when I was kidnapped in Isla Cruces?" Luna asked.
"Before or after? Either way, I saw death," Astra hissed.
"I see. Donald, Goofy, and the others… are they alright?"
"Everyone except Jack."
"Jack? What happened to Jack?" Luna asked.
"Oh, it was nothing, really. I just had to sit by on a boat and watched as he and the rest of the Black Pearl were swallowed up by a giant monster. You know, the normal stuff you expect to see when you're travelling from world to world. Does that scare you, Luna?" Astra spat venomously. Rather than taking it as a sign of disgust, Luna understood the true meaning behind Astra's words. Astra had never been one to express her feeling directly. She always gave little hints as to how she felt. This time was no different.
"I see… then I won't hold back," Luna said. She looked down at her Keyblade, at Artemis, and gripped it tighter. Her Dream Seeker glowed a bright blue before transforming into a bow. Quickly she leapt to the left and created an arrow of light with her right hand, pulling it into the bow string. Astra attempted to catch her off guard with a swing at her legs but Luna jumped over and fired the arrow. Instead of aiming straight however, the arrow simply flopped in a pathetic arc and fell to the ground.
"Wow, Sea Salt… You sure got me," Astra said in disbelief.
"It's a work in progress," Luna snapped sharply. Even she had to eventually admit though that she was glad Robin Hood hadn't seen that one. Her Keyblade reverted to its original form and she thrusted forward. Astra guarded with the halberd and attempted to force Luna back. Her overall size and strength was her advantage as the smaller Luna started to feel her arms giving in. With it looking incredibly likely that she was going to lose this confrontation, Luna ran the flat face of Dream Seeker along the halberd and escaped to Astra's left. Without the sudden resistance, Astra was sent running forward. Luna dropped low and pressed her hands against the sand. A fist formed from sand shot out of the ground and slammed into Astra's as she was about to turn to face Luna. Her friend was launched off her feet and towards the shoreline.
Kohle backed away and threw an Ice Raid attack at Sora who countered and knocked the Keyblade away with a Fire projectile. Kohle changed his footing slightly and rushed forward instead, much to Sora's surprise. He tackled Sora to ground and raised his fist. Sora could only go into a defensive positon from here and constantly turn his head underneath his hands as Kohle mercilessly tried to beat him into submission.
"I'm… telling… you… to… stay… DOWN!" Kohle yelled in between his punches. "Don't… make… this… harder… for… me… AGH!"
Kohle winced and turned to see Luna stepping away, horror in her eyes. Sora couldn't see why he had stopped, but he would take the opportunity. Sora reached towards Kohle's face and cast Firaga. Kohle was blown backwards by the powerful force and it was through that separation that he could see Luna's Dream Seeker sticking out of Kohle's back.
He was soon once again on his feet, slowly pulling the Keyblade out of his back until it was completely out. Like the last time too, it almost seemed like a dream. A terrifying surrealism that conflicted with reality as Sora knew it. As he watched Kohle's face heal off the burns that had scarred him as a result of Sora's magic, he finally accepted that which seemed to conform to the stages of grief.
"Who are you?" Sora asked.
"A little too late for that, don't you think?" Kohle muttered.
"Then tell me something. Are you only doing this because to stop me from helping? I know you and the rest of Moira's Crescent knew Yeul-"
"Don't… say her name," Kohle warned with a dangerous glare. "I searched for her. A long time ago, I once had a younger sister, blood related. Yeul reminded me of her. One day Yeul was with us and the next, she and Kyle had disappeared without a trace. When Alfonso told me one day that he suspected that Kyle had kidnapped her, I couldn't believe him. But the more clues I found, the more I couldn't turn away from the ugly truth. Someone who had been like a brother to me had betrayed me and my family. He was working with the enemy. He was referring to himself as Abraxas. It made no sense to me. Even now it still doesn't but I made the call to take down someone who had been close to me to keep the worlds safe. If I had to give up my life to keep the worlds safe, I would gladly do it… but I can't. This is my curse. And I've had to live with it for a long time now. I didn't even tell the others that I had this curse because I couldn't bear to face them."
Sora bit the lower corner of his lip thoughtfully before responding, "I'm not going to stay down. Even if this is pointless. Even if I get beaten to near death, it will never stop me from getting back up. I'll keep coming back, because I believe that I can fix the mess I've created."
Sora looked over at Astra who was clutching her sides as she tried to get up. They switched over to Luna, a pained expression on her face. When his eyes arrived on Kohle again, he breathed deeply.
"I'm sorry about this," Sora said. He raised his Keyblade before Luna could react and cast sleep. Her body became heavy, and her eyelids grew heavy and unresponsive to her control.
"Sora… no, why—?" Luna slurred. Her body soon shut down and she fell forward, only to be caught by Sora.
"Luna!" Astra yelled. Sora carefully laid her on the ground and walked left so that he was out of her way. He then stabbed the Kingdom Key into the ground and stepped away before looking up at Kohle.
"I won't fight back, so give it all you've got. You'll never break my spirit though," Sora said.
Luna awoke to the sound of soothing waves. Remembering where she was, she sat upwards and looked to the shore to see a lone figure sitting and watching the water. It was night now, but while the person was shrouded in shadow, their outline was one Luna knew all too well. Unfortunately, the events preceding her awakening had surfaced in her mind, causing her to feel annoyed with him.
She headed over to him and cleared her throat as loud as she could once behind him. Sora jumped in surprise and shot straight up, looking at Luna in surprise. Luna returned the expression. Bruises and bumps covered Sora's face and his right eye was a dark shade of purple.
"Are you alright?" Luna asked, sitting down next to him.
"Er, so there's this movie where a boxer just keeps taking punches in order to break the other guy's spirit. Yeah, it's safe to say I'm not him," Sora said.
"You didn't have to do that, you know? And why put me to sleep. I could have helped," Luna said.
"Would you have let me do something like this if you were awake? I think it worked in the end anyway. His punches hurt less as time went on… that, or it was the numbness kicking in," Sora said. "He gave up eventually either way. I think he just wanted to take his frustrations out on something and I was the easiest to blame. Is it weird that I understood a lot more about him while he was punching me than I did when I fought back?"
"Did you and Riku do this stuff a lot, when you were kids?" Luna asked.
"You mean beat on each other? Why stop when we were kids? Heh, I mean, I took most of the beatings, but that's how I learned, you know? A lot of times I just felt like giving up but Riku always encouraged me," Sora replied. "I hope he and Kairi are doing alright, wherever they are."
"Astra was the same. I couldn't make any friends but her. I was always clumsy, not really confident in myself. She even once called me the odd swan that stood out above the ugly ducklings," Luna said with a light chuckle.
"Why're you laughing at that? You are quite the swan," Sora said. Luna could imagine that she would see him blushing were it not for all the bruises on his face right now.
"Hehe, that's kind of you to say." Luna rested her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes. "Where did Astra go, by the way?"
"She went back with Kohle. I don't know if she forgot you or came to some kind of realization. I mean, I certainly wouldn't have been able to stop her if she had decided to take you so…" Sora said.
"Would you have wanted her to take me?" Luna opened her eyes again and looked into his blue ones. They seemed to contain no anger behind them or sorrow, but affection and innocence.
"Are you sure you want to hear the truth?" Sora answered with a question of his own.
Luna seemed to consider this for a moment before closing her eyes again. "I'll meet her again. She just had a lot on her mind this time. She's not used to complicated things. So how are we getting off this island of yours exactly?"
"Let's… not think about that right now. I just want to enjoy this moment. Just the two of us," Sora whispered. At the sound of whooshes, Luna looked up to the night sky. Up there, billions of stars seemed perfectly aligned, something she had never seen before. If they were not worlds anymore, then what were they now? More importantly, Luna's attention was drawn to the shooting stars that raced across the sky. If it was some glaring omen to the dangers they would face ahead, Luna did not see it as such. Dreamers like her hardly ever saw the bad in such things.
"A table for two at the end of the world… sounds romantic."
A/N: So, while I can't say when I will start the next story (don't worry, it won't take three months or anything like that), I'll say that in the meantime, I'd love to hear your suggestions on what worlds you'd like to see... well, I suppose they wouldn't be worlds per say, but they'll take on a new formula of sorts. I can confirm already that you'll definitely see Shibuya by the way so look forward to that. So once again, I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all your support and I hope to see you all again in the near future.
