(OC POV)

"And you decided to just…leave?"

"Yeah, pretty much."

"You do realize that the truth bomb you just dropped on him is probably eating him up inside, right?"

"I can't face him, mom. What if he doesn't believe me? What if he hates me? I can't handle the thought of him hating me."

"That's something you need to figure out on your own. But avoiding him isn't helping. Eventually he will find you."

"How do you know?"

"Because your father did the same thing. We would get into huge fights and I would disappear for days. But no matter where I went, he found me and he wouldn't let me leave his arms until we worked it out. Have a little faith in him, sweetspark. You may have changed, but he never stopped loving you."

"Thanks mom."

"Anytime. Now get your aft down there and find him! I'd rather not have to beat him into the ground again because he decided to storm our base in search of you."

"Oh stop it!"

"Go. Everything will be fine."

"I love you, mom."

"I love you."

(3 Hours Later)

"He hasn't left the command central since the news. He's been searching for anything on the whereabouts of your father's warship, which in my honest opinion has all been so that he could find you." Ratchet said as he walked with me towards said room from his med bay on the other side of the base, a shaky sigh leaving me as I went over the different conversations we would have when I finally faced him.

"Probably so he could kill me." I said with a sigh as I looked down at the ground with a worried frown.

"Why would he kill you? He loves you. More than you know." The CMO said with a confused tone.

"I'm a Decepticon now; he probably hates me even more for that." I whispered and almost turned back.

"When you died, he changed drastically. He went months without tending to himself or refueling or even recharging. Sideswipe had to finally step in when he was on the brink of dying. The fact that you're alive, Decepticon or not, has brought him back to life. Now, all you have to do is be there and before you know it everything will be normal again." He said and I was quiet for a few moments as I pondered over his words and how they rang with truth, my optics shuttering as guilt crashed over me for enjoying my new life while he agonized over my death. I glanced at the medic to see him obviously looking away from me to give me some privacy with my thoughts, my spark throbbing faster as I finally accepted the fact that I was about to face the mech I left behind so long ago.

"How are you so sure?" I finally said as I turned to look at him with hopeful optics as he looked back at me and smiled softly, his hand raising to cup the back of my helm and shake me softly as if to put some sense into me forcefully.

"I'm a medic. I know everything." Ratchet said with a smug smile as I looked up at him in exasperation.

"Yeah, right. Did your carrier tell you that?" I shot back and ducked from his half-hearted swipe and into the command central with a bright smile, stopping in my tracks when Sunstreaker looked up from his searching and into my optics with surprise.

"Abigail?"
