Going Missing
Somewhere in Mongolia near a Hun Camp, an entire armada of soldiers were out in a patrol area.
"Remind me again why we have to do this?" One soldier asked his companion as they walked through the dense forest.
"Apparently, the General got a message from the Emperor that said that we have to spy on the Huns for two weeks." The other one said, before sighing, "You know, for a guy that takes comments about his daughter's white hair super seriously, you would think he would rather stay at home with her."
"So you two think I should go back home, and let an entire army of Huns come our way and destroy everything?" Both soldiers winced when Shang came over to them arms crossed, "Or should I have you both back on horse cleaning?" He asked with an eyebrow rose.
That made them shivered with fear, "N-No sir!" One of them stuttered out.
"We won't make fun of your daughter any more!" The other one shouted.
Shang smirked satisfied, before walking away to check on the other recruits. When he walked away, the two soldiers sighed in relief.
"You know, I think that wife of his is messing his head up." One said, just before the other one could say anything else, four large hands came out of the bushes near him grabbed him and pulled him into it with a yelped.
"Xao?" The soldier asked, looking around for his missing comrade, before more hands came out and grabbed him, also dragging him into the bushes with him screaming.
That scream made Shang turned around to see his recruits missing, then he heard a few more screams from behind him and turned around to see the recruits he was just checking on disappeared as well.
"Soldiers!" He yelled out, but no one came, it was then he realize he was the only one left.
Suddenly, four more large hands came up from behind and grabbed him.
"What the-!" Shang yelled, before realizing these are Huns that are hold him down, he began to struggle in their grips, but it was pointless.
Soon an deep dark chuckle interrupted him, he looked up to see the Hun's leader standing over him.
"Well, if it isn't General Shang..." He said mockingly.
"Dei Ren..." Shang grumbled threateningly as he tried to get out of the Huns' grip.
"You think you wouldn't hear the last of me, after what you and your wife did to my uncle, Shan Yu, would you?" Dei Ren snarled as he encircled the trapped General with his arms behind his back.
"If you think killing me is going to get you anywhere-!" Shang started, but was cut off when Dei Ren suddenly begins to laugh.
"Oh, it's not what I want," He said while tapping both of this fingers together, "It's actually what my partner in crime wants."
"What?" Shang asked confused, he thought the Huns were working on their own. If there was another country working with the Huns, then China was in big trouble.
"Oh, you'll find out once you meet him." Dei Ren said, before looking at the two Huns, "Take him to our Captain." Then they began to dragged Shang all the way to their camp.
Shang was thrown into a large tent, he scrambled to get up and ran for the entry, but only to ran into a hard surface since the Huns blocked it.
Sighing in defeat, Shang looked around at the tent, before noticing a staff at the far end of the tent.
Curiosity getting the better of him, Shang slowly walked towards it. The staff was a shiny golden staff, but what caught him off guard was that on top it was shape of a rectangular dragon head and it's eyes are ruby gems.
Suddenly, the mouth of the staff slowly begins to open, and out came this light blue glowing mist, making Shang back away from it.
The mist soon took a shape of the dragon head that was on the staff, except for the fact the head was the same color of the mist.
The dragon open it's glowing eyes, before smirking at the astonished General before him.
"Well, well, well..." The dragon started in a deep voice as he started to float near Shang, who backed away in return, "If it isn't the young, General Shang."
"Wh-What?" Shang said, confused at how this spirit knows who he is.
"I have to say, General," The spirit said as he continues to float near him, "Finding someone like you nearly took me over 800 years, but then again, it was worth it." He said with an evil grin.
"Wh-what are you?!" Shang finally said out, feeling a sense of fear forming inside at the sight of dragon.
"Oh, I believe you are familiar with the legend of Lord Dunbroh, are you?" The spirit asked as he begins to encircle the fear struck General.
"You mean that old legend with an old European Sorcerer that tried to take over China, but got burned at the stakes?" Shang asked, remembering that from his studies back in his studies.
"Old?!" The spirit suddenly yelled, "My looks were average for an 73 year old!" He said offended.
"Wait," Shang mumbled, finally realizing who this spirit was, "Are you, Lord Dunbroh?"
"Well, nice to see someone knows about me, but thinks that I'm some sort of old dragon." Dunbroh said sarcastically.
"Well, maybe that wouldn't have happen if you weren't consumed with greed and power-"Shang began but was cut off with a yelped when Dunbroh was suddenly in his face.
"You think I chose to be like a dragon?!" He yelled, making Shang nearly fall over in fright.
"What do you want?" Shang asked, finally had enough of this 'dragon'.
"Well, I should tell you," Dunbroh began as he floated away a bit, "It's not easy being a disembodied spirit, having to use a staff to be able to keep in contact with the mortal world, and the being a spirit can makes you lose your humanity."
"What are you saying?" Shang asked, clearly confused.
"That I just wish I could walk on two feet again." Dunbroh said, before slowly turning over to Shang, an evil smirk forming on his face.
Shang soon realized what Dunbroh wanted, before backing away from the spirit in fright but Dunbroh kept floated towards him.
"No, no! No!" Shang yelled as he backed up into a wall, being cornered.
"NO!" That screamed echoed through out the entire camp, making a few Huns stopped to look at the tent, which was glowing blue bright at first, but then it died down.
Meanwhile, Dei Ren was smirking at the tent, before turning over to a Hun next to him.
"Send out a message to the Emperor," He informed the Hun, "I think the Fa Mulan and her daughter deserved to know what happened to the man in their family." The Hun nodded, before walking away.
