Alright so here comes the fluff. So why don't you take a read :)

"When the sun shines we'll shine together
Told you I'll be here forever
Said I'll always be you friend
Took an oath I'ma stick it out til the end.
Now that it's raining more than ever
Know that we'll still have eachother
You can stand under my umbrella
You can stand under my umbrella."
-Umbrella.
-Rihanna.
Glenn and I drove into town. It had been warmer and warmer. The sun beat down through the glass and made me sweat. The occasional walker would stare at us as we drove past.
"I'm glad they're back." I said after a few minutes.
"It's always good to have more people on our side." Glenn said.
"That's not what I meant." I said. "I mean I'm glad they're back." he looked over at me, asking me to explain. "Carol, Tyreese, even Judith-they're not just anyone. They're with us no matter what. They'll protect us, protect you. They're with us until the end and if things go wrong again-"
"I know." he said, grabbing my hand. "I'm glad they're back too."
I smiled as we continued down the road.
"So," he said. "What are you in the mood to listen to today?"
"No this again." I rolled my eyes.
"No, really, what's to your liking?" he said as he reached for the radio.
"Glenn," I leaned my head against the window and laughed.
He pressed a button and static filled the car. "Top 40 static?" he asked and I shook my head. "No? Okay then." He flipped a few channels and stopped. "Rap static?" he asked.
"I don't think so." I said.
"Me neither." He flipped again. "Oh, I know. Country static, you grew up on a farm so this is-"
"Glenn," I glared at him and he looked up at me. I shook my head. "No."
"Right, sorry."
Before everything happened, Glenn had delivered pizzas. So for countless hours he would listen to the radio as he traveled from restaurant to make a delivery then back to the restaurant then back to make a delivery. Now, since almost everything is gone, he can't stand driving for long periods of time. He jokes about static and the different types of white noise but I know it drives him crazy.
"Well, then we should listen to one of the great cds we have in here."
"Yeah, why don't we." I said, letting him play.
He opened up the center console and revealed two cds. "What do you say Maggie," he held up a smashed case. "The broken one?" he threw it down and opened up the other. "Or the empty one?"
"I could always sing for you.?" I offered.
"No offense Mags but Beth really is the singer in your family."
I hit him on the arm and he faked like it hurt him.
The car continued to heat up as the sun hit us. I fanned myself and attempted to roll down my window before realizing it was broken. "Hey can you put the window down." I asked.
He leaned back and motioned for me to do it. It was and older car with a crank window.
I rolled my eyes. "Lazy." I reached over and started to put it down. I'd anchored myself on something under my seat, but lost my balance when it moved.
I fell and then leaned back into my seat.
"What?" Glenn asked. "Are you okay?"
I realized that under the seat there was a drawer. It had an umbrella, some old coupons and and some CD cases.
"What is it?"
I quickly flipped through the cases. Most of them were cracked or empty except one.
I held the CD to Glenn and he looked at it with the wonder of a child.
I rolled my eyes before looking at the disc myself. It was silver without any writing on it.
"Someone probably burned it themselves. Downloaded the music."
My ears had become unfamiliar with the words he spoke but I smiled at him. "Let's put it in." I said, as I put it in the player.
"I'm not even sure it works Mags."
"Well," I said as I pressed the power button. "Let's find out."
I heard the disc spin a few times and I heard the speed of the spin fluctuate. I waited almost a minute.
I looked over at Glenn who's smile was quickly fading.
It would've seemed stupid to anyone else, but I knew this meant a lot to him. He did so much for everyone else, he deserved to have something that would make him happy too.
"Maggie, I think it's broken." he said. I knew he was trying not to seem disappointed.
"No," I said. "It'll work." I took it out and rubbed it on my shirt, attempting to get any smudges off, before putting in back in.
It spun again this time until it stopped.
There was a pause in the air and Glenn breathed. "It's alright Mags. It's just a stupid CD."
"No," I said. "Glenn it's not stupid." My tone was angrier than I had intended for it to be.
"Maggie, it's fine. Don't get worked up about it."
"I just really wanted it to work. I just-"
"Wait," He said. "Do you hear that?"
I shook my head. "No, what're you."
"Shhh, Maggie," he said. His eyes glanced up at me and then he reached for the volume knob and twisted it.
"It works." I said.
"It works!" He said. He grabbed my hand and brought it to his lips.
"What song is it?" I asked.
"I can't tell yet." He turned it up more. "The speakers don't work very well."
"It's a guy, that's for sure. I just can't make out what it's saying."
"Oh my god," Glenn laughed. "It's Jay-Z."
"I don't know any Jay-Z songs."
"Sure you do, 99 Problems."
I shook my head. "Never heard it."
"Dirt Off Your Shoulder?" he asked, like I was crazy.
"Um, no." I said.
"So you did only listen to country on the farm." he said.
I rolled my eyes, happy he was happy.
"Oh, no wait." I said turning it up. "Glenn, do you know this song?"
He listened for a moment then smiled. "Who doesn't know this song?"
"God, I used to love this song. I drove everyone crazy with it." I said.
"You like this song?" he asked.
"I love this song." I said.
"I honestly cannot say I would've guessed that." he laughed.
"Glenn, I have to sing it."
"You're not a good singer." he said.
"I have too, Glenn I have too."
"This is great." he laughed.
"Here it goes." I said with a smile. "You have my heart. And we'll never be worlds apart, maybe in magazines, but you'll still be my star."
Glenn had the next part. "Baby 'cause in the dark, you can't see shiny cars. And that's when you need me there, with you I'll always share."
We both screamed the chorus in simultaneous chaos. "Because, when the sun shines we'll shin together. Told you I'll be here forever. Said I'll always be your friend. Took an oath I'ma stick it out 'til the end. Now that it's raining more than ever, know that we'll still have each other. You can stand under my umbrella, you can stand under my umbrella."
"Ella, ella, eh eh eh." Glenn continued on with the rest of the 'ellas' until the next verse. I just sat and stared at him.
All the things we had taken for granted a few years ago, now made us so joyous that we could hardly contain ourselves. I couldn't tell if that was a blessing or a curse.
Glenn finally stopped screaming and looked at me. "What? You're never heard a Korean get down to Rihanna before?"
I laughed at his eternal happiness. "No, it's just-" I didn't want to bother with words about how much I loved him right now. I just wanted for him to be happy. "It's just that you have a surprisingly good voice."
Alright so there it was. It was short but oh well :) Also, next chapter is when things get pretty serious.
Also, I know that the song in this chapter is less than deep but Glenn singing it would probably be one of the best things I've ever seen. Anyways, let me know what you thought of the chapter. Also let me know what you think Glenn and Maggie should name their baby because I really want to know what you think!
Thanks for Reading!
