Hey guys, so it's been awhile but the good news is the TWD IS BACK! The WOLVES WERE INTESE AF AND CAROL IS THE BADDEST BITCH I KNOW! So excited for the rest of the season. Let me guys know what you think. Also, am I the only one who was like #CarolForPrez2020...like, I'm feelin' it.

Anyways, this is sort of short but there's some stuff. Yeah idk just read it if you want

Maybe I should explain something first though. SOOOOOO, I'm sort of building two plots here. One is with Maggie, Glenn and the Baby and the other is with the whole group and the terrorist group who's been attacking them. This sort of jumps over and talks about both, but I promise it will all come together in the end :)

Enjoy!

"All we do is drive

All we do is think about the feelings that we hide

All we do is sit in silence waiting for a sign

Sick and full of pride

All we do is drive."

-Drive.

-Halsey.

Maggie and I had agreed not to tell anyone about the baby. Beth knew and that meant Daryl did too. However, there wasn't a need to concern anyone else with it. Especially with the threats we'd been getting from the group of attackers.

Rick didn't want us to say 'terrorists' but really, in the destroyed world, that's what they were. They were coming into our territory and trying to start war.

Rick wanted us to have a meeting about the recent attack.

This morning, a younger girl came up to Daryl, Rick, and me in the cafeteria. She handed us a note.

"What's this?" Daryl asked.

"A note." she said.

"You wrote us a note?" I asked.

"No. Someone else wrote it." she said.

She was probably around four years old. Rick crouched so he could look her in the eyes. She was visibly shaken.

"Who left this, sweetheart?" he asked.

She simply shrugged. "I don't know."

He smiled. "Well, where'd you get it?" he asked, remaining calm. Daryl and I eyed each other, not sure what to think.

"It was on my coloring book." she said. "My mom said to give it to you."

Rick looked around. "Oh, okay then. Well, where's your mom?"

"They took her."

I saw Rick turn his head. He didn't quite look at us, but I knew he was wanting us to listen.

He looked at the little girl and his eyes narrowed. "Who?"

"The people that left the note." she said. "They told her to be quiet and she didn't listen." she said. She was too scared to look sad or upset. I could tell she was scared by what she had seen.

"What's your name?" Rick asked.

"Madison." she said.

"Alright Madison," he grabbed her hands. "Do you have daddy or a sister maybe? Do you have any other family here?"

Madison shook her head. Rick turned to us and spoke. "Daryl, can you take Madison to Carol for the day until we can find her mother?"

"Of course, come on sweetheart." Daryl tipped his head and held out his hand. Madison ran over and Daryl scooped her up.

They were about to walk away but she turned to us. "Here," she held out the slip of paper and Rick took it.

"Thank you." he nodded and smiled. She didn't seem comforted at all.

"What is this?" I asked.

"I have a pretty good idea."

Tyreese was walking by with Sasha and Rick grabbed him. "Tyreese, can you tell the other council members that we're having a meeting tonight at sundown?"

"Sure, what's up?" he asked.

"We're not sure." Daryl said.

"Come on, let's go tell the others." Sasha pulled him away.

I sighed. "Should we read it?" I asked.

"Hell yeah we should. Someone's fixin' on comin' into our home and playin' these tricks on us. Takin' people and shit. I wanna do a lot more thsn just read a damn note." Daryl ranted.

"Calm down," Rick said. "Let's not get ahead of ourselves. We'll read the note, have the council meeting and then decide what to do."

We all exchanged looks and I sighed. "Let's do it then." I said.

Rick unfolded the note and we waited.

Although it was a long sheet of paper, the message was only a few lines long.

"We'll take your people

One by one,

if you don't give us

what we want.

Fire will catch

and war will come.

To survive

you'll have to run."

"Sick fuckin' nursery ryhmes." Daryl said, throwing his hands up and walking away.

"What does this mean?" I asked.

"More people get taken. More people get killed." he said.

"Sendin' fuckin' songs like it's some kinda joke." Daryl grunted. "Writin' poems and songs."

Rick crumbled the note in one hand and put the other on his hips. He looked down, not sure what to say next.

"We'll talk about this at the meeting tonight. Until then, just don't say shit to anybody. Deal?"

"That little girl's missin her momma. You don't think she's goin' to the nursery today and tellin' the other kids what happened?" Daryl asked. "You don't think they'll blab to their mom and dad?"

"Carol will make sure she's busy so she doesn't get talkative." he said. "This needs to stay under wraps until we can decide what to do."

Daryl rolled his eyes. "Fine." he said. "But we better do somethin' pretty goddamn fast."

That's why we were having a meeting. Just like last time, everyone was yelling and arguing about how we should go about it. I tried to take a neutral side but really I couldn't find myself to care too much. Sure, I was worried about Madison's mother and other people who might go missing but I had Maggie at home waiting for me. I had her to worry about and, right now, that was enough.

"Obviously they're just comin' in here whenever they find fit. Why can't we do the same?" Daryl yelled.

"Because we know they're watchin' us. They would know we were there before we even knew who to attack." Rick argued back. He was pacing and Daryl had just stood up in his chair. Occasionally Tyreese would stand to make a point and Michonne shifted a lot in her chair. Carol and I just sat and waited. I wondered why she was so quiet.

"Do we know where they're based?" Michonne asked. "I mean they could be miles away right?"

"It's unlikely but not out of the realm of possibility." Tyreese said.

"Well, I think we should find them." Michonne said. "Get them where it hurts. On their turf."

"No!" Rick yelled. "It's too dangerous. We can't!"

"Why the hell not?" Daryl yelled.

"We can't lose anyone else." Rick said.

Daryl stood. "We're losin everyone and this place anyway if we don't do somethin' quick!"

Rick's face was inches from Daryl's. "We'll stand our ground for as long as we can. For as long as we have to!"

"It won't be long if we don't make a move, Rick!" Tyreese stood.

"Not again Tyreese." Michonne said.

The last council meeting went horribly.

I was choosing not to tell Maggie about it so she wouldn't get worried.

Last time, Tyreese told us that he thought we should move. He said that Terminus and the space around it was too dangerous now.

The plan Tyreese had created involved the entire population disappearing. Into the woods and surrounding area until we could find enough transportation and leave the territory, possibly the state.

However, there was a difference of opinions. Rick, of course, wanted to stay and defend.

"Do I need to remind you what happened the last time you waited for an attack instead of attacking?" Tyreese asked, refering to the attacks the Governor made on the prison.

"Rick, we need to hit first." Michonne said.

Rick just shook his head. "No."

"Listen to reason, Rick." she said again.

"No!" he shouted. "It's our home and we'll stay here."

"Are we really going to die for this place? Are we really going to stay and fight until we die? Until everything's gone?" Tyreese asked.

"If we have to." Rick said.

"That's just fuckin' stupid. Everything goes to shit if we stay here." Daryl announced.

"At least we'll be together." Rick said.

"It ain't gonna matter if we're dead." Daryl shot back. I could tell he was really pushing for us to go find them.

Rick got really quiet and took a seat next to Michonne. "Fine," he said. "We'll send some people out to go track down thier camp, go see where they're at."

"Finally," Tyreese said. "I don't think it's gonna be that far away. They didn't bring any cars up when they attacked."

"Right," Rick said agreeing. "So we'll round up a team to go on foot to find the camp."

"Who's going?" I asked.

Rick looked at me. "I think Maggie can go." he said before looking at Tyreese. "And Sasha."

"Maggie and Sasha have classes. I don't think-" Carol put a hand on my leg and I looked at her. She held a finger to her lip to quiet me.

"Sasha? Why would Sasha go?" Tyreese argued.

"Well if it's such a good fuckin' idea then why not have Sasha go? If this is all going to go just fine then why not let her?" Rick asked. "Daryl you can tell Beth that she'll join them." Rick said.

"The Hell I will, Rick. What the fuck do you think you're doing?" Daryl shouted.

"I think I'll send Carl out there with them. Actually, no," he laughed. "They can take Judith because if this is all going to go just fine, if everyone is going to be alive at the end of this, then it shouldn't matter who we send out."

"It's still dangerous, Rick." Michonne said.

"And it's even more dangerous if we split up." Rick said. He turned to look at the council. "We stay and fight." he said. "Or you can go back and tell the girls they're going out tomorrow to look for something that we don't even know exists." Rick stormed out of the council meeting and Michonne followed him.

Tyreese shook his head and walked out. Daryl cursed and did the same.

Carol look at me. "Well," she said. "Glad that's over."

"Yeah, me too." I said. "I gotta get to Maggie."

"Oh Glenn, I meant to tell you," Carol stopped me.

"Yeah?" I turned to her.

She looked like she was trying to decide what to say. "If you guys need anything, if Maggie needs anything, let me know. Especially these next few months."

My eyes narrowed at her. "Okay." I said. "But, if you don't my mind asking, why do you say this now?" I said.

She looked down, poised and petite in her chair. Her eyes flicked up and looked at me. "Just let me know." she said.

She stood up to walk away but I caught her arm as she tried to pass me. "Wait, Carol." I said. "Do you know? Did Maggie tell you?"

She shook her head. "I don't know what you're talking about Glenn." she said.

I nodded at her. "Okay, alright I'm sorry."

I loosened my grasp but she pulled me closer to her. "But if I did know, I would know because I've had children. I would know because Maggie has all the warning signs and symptoms right now and if I knew I would tell you to figure out what you're going to do about this quick because you won't be able to hide it for long." she said.

I couldn't take it all in and form a response to her. "Okay." Was all I could manage.

"Okay," she nodded. "Oh and tell her to go deeper into the woods in the early morning when she feels sick because all the moms can hear her and the excuse of a stomach virus won't fly with them for long." she winked before she left. "You know, if I knew what you were talking about."

So as always Carol knows what's up.

Let me know what you think the name and sex of this baby should be! I literally haven't decided yet so you pick! Also leave me a review of what you thought of this chapter and what you think could happen next chapter.
