YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSS GLENN'S
ALLLLLLLLLLLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVE!
I LITERALLY AM SO HAPPY I ACTUALLY CANT EVEN LIKE IM ALL CAPS FOR A REASON RIGHT NOW OMG! ALSO, AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO NOTICED STEVEN YEUN'S ARMS WHEN HE WAS TRYING TO DRINK THAT WATER? LIKE WHOA, BUT THAT'S BESIDE THE POINT BC HOLY SHIT GLENN IS ALIVE!
But also , like Enid..who the fuck do you think you are talking to him like that? Like Glenn is probs the most compassionate sympathetic person you'll meet in the apocalypse so maybe you should stop girl. Cut the sass bitch.
And Maggie is legit so cute when she sees those green ballons but at the same time I'm like girl dont run like that you're pregnant. I relaly want to know if you guys think shes going to have the baby or if you think she'll miscarry bc I know a lot of people think something is going to happen so she can't have it. I also think that maybe Ron will accidentally shoot her when trying to shoot Carl or whoever and she'll die.
But also holy shit all of Alexandria is GOING DOWN FOR REAL since this tower fell like holy shit if you read the comics this is NO WAY OUT and a TON OF SHIT happens in that issue! THIS IS AWFUL.
You wanna know what else if awful? THEY CAST NEGAN...AND IF YOU READ THE COMICS YOU KNOW WHAT HE DOES AND IT'S HORRIBLE SO LIKE, THAT WASN'T THE BEST NEWS. but also like, it's Katherine Heigl's dead finace` Denny from Grey's Anatomy and I liked him on there so it will be weird getting to hate him.
BUT OMG GLENNS IS ALIVE. I CAN GO ON ANOTHER DAY..
read my fanfic pls.
It's a lot of Glenn and Daryl talking and doing stuff but hopefully it's entertaining enough to keep your attention. Also, I PROMISE ITS NOT A HUNGER GAMES CROSS OVER! youll know what I'm talking about. Also theres a shitty walker fight scene at the end.
ENJOY!

"But you see it's not me
It's not my family
In your head, in your
Head they are fighting."
-Zombie.
-The Cranberries.
Daryl and I began our search just as the sun dropped below the horizon.
We decided to take one of the cars. After a short discussion about how awkward riding on the back of Daryl Dixon's bike would be for the both of us, we agreed a car was the smartest choice.
We started down the road. "What're we even looking for?" I asked. "How do we know if we're close?" I asked.
Daryl shrugged. "I dunno. Terminus had em big signs out drawin' people in. Maybe these people will have somethin' like that."
I shook my head. "We saw the signs for Terminus. We would've seen something similar for this camp if they wanted to make people aware of themselves."
He nodded. "Yeah, you're probably right."
I shrugged. "It was like Terminus was a big trap, or that's what it became anyways." I said. "These people want to stay hidden."
"Well that don't make much sense. If they eat-" he paused. "What they eat, then wouldn't they want to lure people in?" he scoffed. "I mean, a fisherman puts the damn bait in the water."
I thought for a moment. "Yeah, you're right I just-" I stopped. "Once we get to the tracks, we'll stop and look at a map."
"Alright," he agreed, looking out the window. His feet were up on the dashboard and he sat low in his seat.
"Beth was looking for you earlier today. At lunch she was asking about you."
"Yeah?" Daryl said.
"Yeah she was worried." I said.
"Well she shouldn't be. I ain't gonna let nothin' happen while we're out here."
"Did you at least say goodbye to her?" I asked.
He shook his head. "I don't need to."
"Daryl, what if-"
"No!" he said, rather loudly. He realized how he sounded and backed off. "No. I don't need to say goodbye. We're going back. We'll be back before they know we're gone."
I nodded. "I hope you're right." I said.
He looked at me for a moment before speaking. "Why? You say goodbye to Maggie?"
I nodded and smiled. "Sort of. She didn't know that's what I was doing really but to me it was like a goodbye."
"Huh," he said. "What'd you say?"
"Well, I didn't really say anything. It wasn't like that." I said, hoping he wouldn't ask for more details.
"What did you do then?" he asked.
After Maggie fainted in the cafeteria, we went back to the boxcar so she could rest. I had free time during the day so I decided to stay with her to make sure she woke up okay. That she was feeling better.
I ended up falling asleep too. When I woke up, she had taken all her clothes off and was laying naked beneath the sheets beside me, waiting for me to open my eyes. It didn't take much convincing from her to get me to do the same. She was feeling much better.
"You know Daryl," I said. "We just-we-" I shook my head. "I just said goodbye, okay?"
He looked confused and then suddenly enlightened. "Oh," he drew out. "Oh, okay."
I rolled my eyes and sighed. "Yeah, well, that's what happened."
Daryl nodded. "Shit, you two just go at it all the damn time or somethin'?" he asked.
I was a little surprised that he was asking. Daryl was normally so reserved, an obvious loner. He didn't like talking about personal stuff. "Um, no?" I said. "We do other things too, like work our shifts and talk and go to lunch and sleep." I said. "It's not the only thing we do."
He scoffed. "Well, I wouldn't blame you if it was." he said, smirking. I didn't like how talking about sex with Maggie made him smile like that.
My eyes narrowed. "Daryl, she's my wife. I know she's incredibly hot but do you think you could keep your reactions a little less obvious?"
"What?" he looked at me. "Oh, no, damn, I wasn't talkin' 'bout Maggie." he said. "But you're right about the hot thing."
I rolled my eyes. "Then what?"
Daryl bit his lip. "Sex with pregnant girls-" he shook his head, trying to hide a smile. "I don't know if it's the hormones or what but they want it all the time and it's always great. There ain't nothin' like it."
I should've been shocked that he was telling me all this, but that's not what caught my attention. "Were you a dad before this?"
"What?" he asked.
"Sex with pregnant girls." I said. "You got a girl pregnant?"
He looked almost offended. "Fuck no." he said. "I ain't stupid."
"Hey," I said, shaking my head. "No. I tried-we tried. Sometimes things don't always go the way they're supposed to." I said.
"Yeah," he nodded. "No shit."
I was probably more offended then I should've been but I was out here helping him track down The Poets and he was insulting me. "You, know sometimes it just happens." I said.
"Yeah, I guess it does." he scoffed.
"It could've happened to Beth." I said.
He sat up in his seat. "Hey, don't talk about Beth."
"Why? You're talking about Maggie." I said.
"I wasn't talkin' about Maggie. I was really talkin' about you."
"Beth and I pulled from the same condom section. Sometimes things just happen."
"Not to me they don't." he kicked his feet up again. "I make sure it don't. I check." he scoffed. "Shit, if I got a girl pregnant before this Merle would've killed me before my Pa could. Probably would've been doin' me a favor."
I was drawn to ask a different question now. "Was your dad like that?" I asked. "Strict and everything?" I asked hesitantly.
"Did he hit us? That what you're getting' at?" he said, rolling his eyes. "Sometimes, a lot more than he should've but not less than we deserved. Once we were teenagers though, he was too drunk most of the time to know where we were, let alone what trouble we were getting' into." he turned to look out the window.
"I didn't mean to bring it up, it's just-" I paused. "I don't know what I'm doing really. You know, with being a dad."
He looked at me. "Was your dad not 'round or somethin'."
"No, he was. Sort of." I said. "But I want to parent how I would parent."
"Not like he did?" Daryl asked and I nodded. "Maybe you could talk to Rick about it. He may not always know what he's doin but he kept that both his kids alive ya' know? That's more than you could say for Carol."
"That's sort of harsh." I said.
"Well it's the truth and she would point that out to you herself. She's changed since she lost Sophia."
"I guess I could talk to Rick. But he's done everything before with Carl. I'm sure parenting is easy for him now."
"In this world?" Daryl scoffed. "Ain't nothin easy."
"Yeah." I said. "Thanks for reminding me."
"Don't worry about it man," he said. "You'll figure it out. You and Maggie, you're a great team. That kid might be growin' up in a shit world but it'll have parents that love the shit outta it. I know you guys will."
I smiled. "Thanks Daryl."
"Yeah, well don't go ruinin' it." he said. "And I still think you're stupid for lettin' it happen."
I rolled my eyes. "Yeah," I stopped the car and opened my door. "We should probably go on foot from here." I said.
"Yeah, but are you just gonna park out in the open like this?"
I laughed. "Well, it's not exactly like there are lines telling me where to go so -yeah, I was."
"Well, pull over into those trees right there. Hide the car a little bit." he said. "We don't need some schmuck comin' along and breakin' in then hot-wiring us."
"Alright fine." I said. I put the car in the trees about half way.
"Is that better?"
He nodded and got out. We grabbed our packs from the back and closed up the car, locking the doors.
"You got that map, Glenn?" he asked.
"Yeah," I pulled it out of my pocket and Daryl spread it out across the hood of the car.
"Well, look." he said. "I was thinkin' that by the time it gets a little bright we start heading back."
"Yeah, agreed." I said. I didn't want Maggie worrying about where I was.
"The best way to cover the most land in that amount of time is to do a complete circle around Terminus. It ain't that long a walk, just followin' tracks. We could keep goin' out further and further each night until we find 'em."
I shook my head. "That's a good plan but I don't want this to last longer than it has to. I want this over by sun-up."
Daryl looked irritated. He snatched the map off the hood of the car. "Fine," he said. "If we're gonna do this in one night we better start now."
I nodded and followed him out of the trees where we hid our vehicle.
He went over to the Terminus map. I watched as his dirt covered fingers grazed the different towns and cities. He looked at the map of Georgia that we had brought with us. He didn't seem to be finding any route that would help us.
He tossed the map of Georgia we had brought against my chest. "This is fuckin' useless. Let's just start walkin'." he said.
"No," I told him. "I'm not walking aimlessly for hours while we don't find anything. Let's figure out where we're going."
I walked up to the Terminus map and put my fingers on the lines. After comparing it to our map, I spoke. "Okay," I said. "It looks like we've already gone pretty far out, which is good. We're practically in Jeffersonville. If we keep going the way were are, we'll be in Clinton. That should be our next stop."
"Yeah?" he said. He pulled the map away from me. "How'd you figure that one out?"
I shrugged. "I don't know," I said. "I looked at the map." I laughed.
He scoffed then threw the map back at me. "Then let's not stand around with our thumbs up our asses." he spit and the charged ahead of me.
I caught up to him and we started walking.
I heard him mumble. "Fuckin' readin' maps and shit. What are you? A fancy ass fuckin' GPS?"
"I'm right here." I said.
"Yeah, and I bet you could point yourself out on a map. Couldn't you?"
"Um, yeah. Probably."
He scoffed and it got sort of awkward.
I rolled my eyes and decided to return to what we had been talking about earlier. "So you had sex with pregnant girls? Like, by choice? Was it a fetish or?"
"Hey!" he said. "You can't always tell they're pregnant. They don't start showin' for months."
"Sure," I said, laughing.
We walked for what felt like forever but, according to the sky, was only an hour. We spoke a few times, but Daryl wasn't much of a talker. I was okay with that. The silence helped clear my head. I hadn't been able to think clearly in a while, with everything going on, somehow, the quiet night made it easier to think.
There were a few walkers here and there but nothing completely out of the usual. Sometimes, Rick would assign groups to go out and kill the walkers surrounding us, try to thin them out and keep from too many getting around home at once. I always found it sort of pointless, but it was nice to think that death was as far away as possible given the circumstances.
We neared another big map that the Termites had put up. It was a sign that we were at our next stop.
"Alright," I said, holding out our map. "This is Clinton."
"How?" Daryl asked.
"What do you mean?" he said.
"I mean how do you know it's Clinton."
I shrugged. "I read the map."
He sighed. "Whatever. All I know is that we've been walking for hours and we ain't found nothin' yet."
"They might not be out in the open. I bet they're not holding signs with our names like 'hey we're over here, come kill us'." I said. "But hey, you never know."
He scoffed a little then walked away.
"Let me just find our next stop and then we can start walking again." I said.
"Fine." he spat.
I traced the Terminus map with my fingers. The paper had weathered, even below the cellophane and plastic wrap that the Termites had it in. I smoothed the wrinkles out under my touch as I drew where we would be walking next.
I was confused for a moment, as I came across something unexpected on the map. I went back and tried to recreate the path but it didn't make any sense. According to this map, we weren't at all where I thought we should be.
"What's taking you so long?" Daryl said. "Aren't you the human GPS?"
I laughed shortly. "Um, guess not?" I said. "I can't figure this out. We must've gone the wrong way." I said.
"What do you mean?" Daryl asked.
"I mean," I shook my head. "I don't know. It doesn't even," I turned to him. "Can I see that map?" I asked.
He handed the folded, crumpled map to me and I straightened it out to read it. I held it up under the flashlight to see.
"This makes sense." I said. "This map says that we should be in Clinton, like I thought."
"And where's that map say we are?" he asked, pointing to the Terminus map.
I shook my head. "I don't know, um, Panem?" I said. "I don't even know if I'm saying that right. It's hard to tell where we are. None of these routes make sense."
"Why not? We lost or somethin'?" he asked, loudly.
"No," I said, quietly, to remind him to be conscious of his volume. "We can't be lost. There's no way. I knew our exact route. We followed it the whole way here."
He groaned and crouched beside me. "Shit Glenn, where we were supposed to be?"
"Clinton." I said and pointed to our map. "Which it right here."
"Okay," he said "So this star shape marks where Terminus is right?"
"Right."
"Then we should be right above the first point."
"Yeah, we should." I said. "But we're not."
He looked up at the Terminus map. His filthy fingers pointed to the star that marked home and then ran up to the city that was nearly above it. Panem.
"Well then where the fuck are we?"
"I can't tell."
Daryl started comparing maps. "Shit, this map ain't even the same. Look!" he said slapping it up against the board that held the map.
"Okay, Daryl could you be a little quieter?" I asked. "We really don't need anything or anyone hearing us out here."
He stared at me. "Will you just look at the damn map?"
I rolled my eyes and looked at the maps. After a moment I realized he was right. "Daryl, you're right." I said.
"No shit, Glenn. Now where are we?" he asked.
"Wait, give me a second." I said, shortly. I became frustrated.
"Well come on."
"Daryl," I turned to him. "Look, around this star, like you were doing."
"What about it?" he asked.
"On our map, the points of the star are all pointing to cities or rivers or train tracks or something." I said.
"And on this one?" he asked, tapping the Terminus map.
"They're not pointing to any of those things. They're all pointing to words but-but they're not actually roads or cities or-" I held up my map. "They're not on this map at all."
I wrote the words in the dirt below the sign, starting with where we were.
Panem, Circumamus, Circumdederant,Circenses Circumfuses, Circumseptus
I stepped back to look at the words. I pointed the flashlight over them to see if I could make any sense of the words.
"This just looks like random letter put together." he said.
"No," I said. "They almost all start the same, or similarly."
"Yeah, well what's that mean?" he asked.
"I don't-I don't know Daryl, I don't have all the answers."
"Yeah? No shit!" he said, throwing down our map.
"Hey!" I snatched it from the ground and walked over to him. "Hey!" I yelled from behind him as he walked back the other direction. I grabbed his shoulder and turned him towards me.
He drew back his fist, but didn't swing. "It's not my fault that we're lost."
"Bullshit!" he said. "You don't think it's your fault that we're out 'ere in the middle of God knows where 'cause you got us lost?"
I felt my face getting hot. "You know, you must have a lot of nerve to drag me out here and yell at me because-"
"Drag?" he asked. "I ain't dragged you two feet, Glenn. You're the one that came up to me sayin' you were goin'. 'This ends tonight', wasn't that you that said that? You damn near led the way!" he yelled.
"Well I had to, didn't I? Lead the way I mean?" I asked as he walked away again. "Can you even read a map, Daryl?"
He stormed at me again ready to punch but didn't. "Man, shut up!" he yelled.
"Then quit charging away and throwing temper tantrums. Being pissed isn't solving anything!"
"I ain't solvin' shit." he said. "You're the one who got us lost. You find us!" he said, pointing to the maps.
"I can't!" I said. "The maps aren't the same! I couldn't anticipate that!"
"Dammit, Glenn, I don't believe that shit for a second." he said. "You got us lost out here and you're too chickenshit to admit it."
"I can read a map, Daryl. I could find us but the maps are different."
"Bullshit, I bet you've been lyin' this whole time. 'Bout readin' maps and navigatin' all of it! I be we've been makin' wrong turns this whole damn time!" he walked away again.
"We didn't take any wrong turns." I said. "We went in a circle!" I walked towards the map.
I stopped after a moment and turned back to Daryl. He had caught up and was behind me.
We looked at each other and spoke concurrently. "Circle."
I bent down on my knees to see the words in the dirt again. Daryl knelt beside me.
"That's it right?" he asked. "All these words? They all start the same."
"Yeah, you're right." I said. "C-I-R-C."
"Circ?" he asked.
"Circle." I said.
"Well, what does this even mean?" he asked. "Doesn't tell us where the fuck we are."
"No, but it might tell us where they are." I said.
Suddenly, two bloodied shoes appeared in the light and dragged in front of us, erasing the words.
We both backed away and scrambled to our feet. Walkers had come in from the woods around us.
"Shit," Daryl cursed as we looked out. It wasn't exactly a horde but it was enough to make me sweat.
I pulled my gun from my belt and shot the two directly in front of us. I switched out for my knife while Daryl killed three more with his crossbow.
Blood splattered across my arm as I stabbed them. Dead brain matter flew through the space around us.
"Glenn!" Daryl yelled.
I turned and behind me there were two more. Their ruined mouths hung open as they went in for my shoulder.
I was too close to use my knife. I ran into them and they toppled on top of each other. Daryl stomped their skulls until they stopped moving.
They were coming from both sides of the track, surrounding us.
My back was to Daryl's as we both fought against them. They went on for as far as I could see, but it was dark.
I heard Daryl knock them down with his crossbow, out of arrows. I slipped him my knife and grabbed my gun.
The growls and groans were even more vicious now. This must be the thick of them. I couldn't tell how many more there were. I also didn't know how much longer we could hold them off.
I cocked my gun as one headed straight for my arm.
Nothing. The barrel was empty. My hands flew to my pockets, quickly tapping each side. Nothing.
"Daryl!" I yelled.
"I don't got any." he said.
I pulled the trigger but I knew it was useless. The walkers were everywhere now. I couldn't hold them off like this anymore.
I grabbed my flashlight by the bulb side and swung. The handle was long enough to knock the closest ones away.
I swung again, harder this time. The aluminum was crushed as it met the density of a skull.
"Daryl!" I yelled again.
"You got a knife?" he yelled. "Come on, Glenn!"
"You have it!" I yelled.
I pushed them away. I could feel their blood soaking through my shirt. Their deteriorated bones broke against mine and then again as they fell to the ground.
They started tripping over each other, grabbing at my ankles as they fell. After a few moments, the bodies were so mashed down that more walked across the ones on the ground.
A walker tripped over the ones on the ground, tumbling towards me. I held it off but couldn't push it back. Too many had surrounded it already.
It was like a wall as they came towards me. I couldn't push any of them away and I didn't have anything to kill them with.
Just then, they all seemed to turn. They became distracted as two lights came at us from the distance. I heard tires screech against the pavement and smelled burning rubber.
"What the Hell?" Daryl asked.
The tired toppled over the walkers that had piled on top of each other.
It was a car. The window rolled down to reveal the driver.
It was a young blonde haired girl. Her face was pale as she looked at us. "Get in!" she yelled.
I wasn't sure how to respond. Daryl did. "Why?" he yelled back.
She looked confused then looked behind us.
Another girl popped out of the sun roof. She also had blonde hair but she was tan, unlike the driver. "That's why." she pointed behind us.
What must've been hundreds of walkers, drawn by the gunfire and yelling Daryl and I did earlier, appeared.
Both girls held up machine guns and fired them as the walkers came towards us.
"What do we do?" I asked, as we crouched to avoid being shot.
Daryl squinted at me. "What are you stupid?" he asked. "We go with the hot girls with the guns.." he said. "Let's move."
He ran towards the car and got in.
I didn't have the best feeling about it. I hesitated as bodies fell around me.
"Are you coming or not asshole?" the driver yelled.
I looked back at the horde that had emerged and decided I didn't have another choice.
I ran towards the car and hopped in next to Daryl.
The tired squealed as we pulled away. I looked down at my hands, covered in blood, as I held my broken flashlight and crumpled map.
I looked at the people who surrounded me, the two blondes and Daryl. Somehow, I felt safer with the walkers.
I PROMISE EVEN WITH THE WHOLE PANEM THING THIS ISN'T A HUNGER GAME CROSSOVER...LIKE I SWEAR.
