Chapter 38: Beauty and the Beast Part 2

Bo lost track of the time. She didn't know how long she has been in this strange world where she doesn't exist. As time flew by she watched the relationship between woman and beast become closer. They did the same thing everyday and not complain about it. They bantered for hours but end up laughing at the end of it. At night Arial had the guys to sleep right next to the monster claiming it was cold though the fire gave heat just fine.

"What the hell is this? Beauty and the Beast?" Bo pouted and bored out of her mind. It was sweet to their relationship grow but nothing exciting happens. "And I supposed to learn a lesson or something? A moral because I don't do morals."

One day the girl decided to wake up early to get fish by herself. Instead of the tidepools she goes into the ocean. Bo waited for her to come up but she hasn't in awhile.

"Oh shit…" she said getting up and going into the cave. "Hey! Wake up, she's drowning!" she shouted but nothing happened. "I can't touch, they can't hear me, damn!"

"Arial!" the monster roared. He rushes out and sees bubbles coming to the surface. He jumps into the ocean and Bo follows him.

"Well at least I can still turn into this." she thought as her legs become a tail. She swims and watches the beast grab Arial and raise her to the surface.

He puts her in the sand and shakes her to make her wake up.

"Wake up! Please wake up Arial!" he said almost crying. Bo watches up close sitting next to the girl. "Wake up! I want to know you more! I want you to know me! Get to know the real me…" he sighed sadly in grief.

"Why didn't you say so…" Arial coughed the water out of her. The monster hugged her and she hugged him back. The creature picks her up and swings her around in happiness. They both laugh and hug each other.

After their breakfast they say around the fire talking. Arial started to talk about herself. She seemed scared to talk about it at first but she relaxed and gave a determined look.

"I was a servant at the palace over those cliffs." she started to say. "I cleaned the rooms when the royals were out. One day I found this object under a table in one of the rooms. It looked so mystical and beautiful so I decided to keep it. Little did I know that it was actually a trap to catch sea witches. There have been rumors all around the kingdom that there was an infestation of them and using these objects attract them. I was chased out of the kingdom. They wanted to stone me, burn me at the stake, or send me to that island of witches up north because of my age."

"How old are you?" the creature asked.

"Seventeen. Girls like me are hard to find but since I'm a witch I am completely off the list for marriage." Arial became sadden looking back at the past.

"What about family?"

"My parents sold me when I was seven to the royals. They got a hefty sum that's for sure." she laughed but it was filled with sadness. "What about you?"

"My is pretty long."

"I've got time." Arial smiled.

"Will believe me if I told you my story."

"Of course! You haven't lied to me or hurt me. You saved me meaning that you are filled with kindness." she said full of honesty.

"Well, um...a long time ago before you and I were even born, there was a young girl that lived by the ocean. One day she saved a young man from drowning and they fell in love instantly. They would meet up quietly by the cliffs to watch the ocean, how the sun or the moon went down and hide for hours only to come up again. Little did they know that the man was a prince and she was the daughter of a sea witch.

"Their rendezvous was cut short when the Prince decided that he was done with her. His love for the girl disappeared in an instant and went to other women, especially those with higher ranks or princesses. When he announced that he would be married to a princess from the kingdom nearby. The girl heard about it and crashed their engagement party. She couldn't believe it and said what they had promised each other; marriage, children, eternal love. But the Prince said she was only a street rat and a whore. The girl was furious so she took a knife and cut his bride to be and herself, cursing her that her first born child will be the devil of the sea. After that she fell over and died.

"Her body was thrown over the cliffs, never to be given a burial. After the wedding the princess became pregnant and gave birth to a healthy boy. The Prince and her didn't believe in the curse that was cast upon them. They had another child and then a few years later the first born boy became fifteen and the younger brother eight. The first born went to go take a bath and when he did he change drastically. He became a monster of the sea and was almost killed in his own home. His parents and brother didn't even recognize him and not their very own child. They said that the Beast ate him. IIt ran away from the castle, never to be seen again. They heard that it's still around rumored to eat people who pass by these cliffs where they threw that sea witch's body over."

"That first born child is you…" the girl said with her eyes wide open.

"Yes...I am the first born son, Denark the Fifth."

"Thats awful...they shouldn't have done that to you or to that woman!" Arial was angry.

"It's fine. It was a long time ago."

"How old are you now?"

"Twenty seven."

"And a bachelor?" she smiled and Denark laughed. "Well I guess not any more."

"Why is that?" he asked.

"Because I'm here. I'll always be here." she said hugging his thick arm. He kissed her small head and she giggled.

Time passed and they had a daughter together. A little newborn who looked and acted human like anyone else.

"Are you frightened that she will become like me? She is the first born child." Denark asked.

"Never." Arial said without hesitation and kissed their daughter on her head. Suddenly there was a loud clamour outside. They peaked outside and see a crowd of people with torches and pitchforks.

"Kill the beast!"

"Kill the witch!" they changed loudly.

"Arial, go! I'll take care of them!" Denark ordered her.

"I can't leave you!" she fought.

"Please, for our child. I want you to live and raise that child with love and care and teach her the story of her ancestors." he pleaded. Arial, filled with tears, nodded and kissed him goodbye. As she ran she can hear the roars of Denark until she didn't hear him anymore. She never saw him again.

She lived by the sea on the other side of the country with her young daughter. The daughter cries out for a daughter that she'll never see or have. One day the daughter learned about the hideous truth about her father by becoming something like him. Arial told her about the story of the curse that has casted upon him. After that the story was told from generation to another.

"Bo!"

"Boboa!" Bo heard her name being called out faintly.

"Gou? Ryugazaki?" Bo said and everything went black. She slowly opened her eyes and saw the faces of her worried friends above her.

"Bo! You're awake!" Gou jumped on her giving her the tightest hug.

"Yes now let go you're crushing my insides!" Bo said in pain.

"It's nice to see that you alright, Boboa. Are you feeling okay?" Rei asked.

"I'm feeling hungry like I haven't eaten in weeks." Bo complained.

"Well you have been asleep for a week now." Gou said.

"Do you remember anything before you passed out?" asked Rei.

"All I remember is yelling at Haru, oh man, he hates me." Bo cried.

"We'll fix that later. Anything else?"

"I had...the most heartbreaking dream."

"Will you tell us?" Gou asked.

"A tale as of as time...a dream of my family tree…" Bo smiled pleasantly not giving any other information.
