I was quickly awoken by a loud shout. My eyes snap open and my arms reach out to stop whatever force had woken me. I look around frantically. Capris was holding me tightly, Xanthe yelling at her in a booming tone I'd never heard before. I whimper, eyes lowering as I notice the hatchet wavering inches from my horn. "U-uhm.." I gulp, not knowing what had happened while I was out. I tried to glance at Capris, she was a mess, cuts and bruises covering her already bandaged arms. He knuckles were bloodied, and her hair was curling madly around her face sticking to her ruined makeup. Xanthe looked about the same, a few less cuts though. "W-What's going on?"
"Capris thinks you're hers. She thinks that she 'Loves' you! HA!"
"SHUT THE FUCK UP XANTHE! You only care about her looks and her body, you don't care about her wellbeing like I DO!"
"Is that why you're holding a hatchet against her?" He snorts, "You care about her wellbeing?"
I whimper louder, struggling against Capris' grip. I feel her hold me tighter, her hot breath against my neck. "C-Capris, stop!" I cry out, trying to turn to look at her.
"Remisa! Be...Quiet...Please!" I could tell she was trying to control her temper when talking to me, but it didn't help too much. Her tone was still dark and angry. "Remisa is mine, no matter what happens to her...I'll always find her lovely. You just care about her body...but if she's ugly on the outside, you won't want her!" I feel the hatchet inch closer to my face.
"W-Wait Capris! Stop!" I cry louder, kicking my legs. Xanthes eyes begin to spark different shades and I can feel that eerie sense of chuckle voodoos creeping from behind me too. I close my eyes, feeling sick once more.
"Don't you touch her!" Xanthe growls, stepping towards her.
"I do what I want!" She screams in response, yanking my hair back, holding it tight in her grip.
"Don't you dare..." Before he can finish his sentence, her hatchet sliced through the hair she was gripping. It was so close to my scalp I could feel every strand of hair being ripped out. I couldn't help but to scream, my long dark locks falling to the floor lifelessly. I tried to get away, but she had quickly grabbed another chunk of hair, yanking it back and slicing haphazardly through it. Xanthe tried to stop her this time, reaching out and trying to grab the handle of her hatchet. She began screaming, chuckle voodoos getting stronger. "DON'T TOUCH HER!" She shouts, backing into the corner, holding me tight. Tears welled in my eyes, what was left of my hair curled oddly around my cheeks. A few strands of hair were still what they once were in length, and hung oddly over my shoulder.
"C-Capris.." I whispered, reaching to grip any part of her I could use to get her attention. I tried to pull away, her eyes locked with mine. "Stop. Please Stop this." She looked confused, like she didn't know what she did wrong. "Let me go." I said sternly, despite my fear.
She is hesitant, but loosens her grip, her face twisting with confusion as she backs further into the corner. I was quick, my mind racing and without a second thought, I stood straight. I swung my hand back and forcefully brought it forwards into her cheek. The sound of the slap echoed off the walls and everything went silent. "You call yourself my moirail! You don't act like one! You aren't even worthy of being considered my moirail! You're despicable! How dare..."
She was in tears, her eyes darting around the room madly, as if she was looking for something to blame the situation on. I became even angrier, her sadness fueling my rage. I slap her again, hearing a faint noise from behind me, but I ignore it as my slaps turn to punches. I hear it again, the familiar sound of Xanthe laughing filling my ears.
"Hit her again," He hisses, his eyes focused on the scene as if he were watching a movie, "Hit her harder Remisa!"
"Shut up!" I respond, Capris slumping to the ground, holding her head and she began crying harder, apologizing under her breath. I watch her for a moment before turning to Xanthe. "You're despicable. You should just kill me already! I can't stand being involved in these..." I'm, as usual, cut off by a forceful yank of the arm. I'm pulled towards Xanthe, his eyes scanning over my mangled hair.
"What were you saying?" He hums, lowering his face towards mine. "We're you complaining?"
"I was, if you actually listened I would..." I didn't manage a snappy comeback that time, because his lips hungrily caged my words. His fingers trace their way through the back of my hair, his other hand pressing our bodies together. I whimpered against his lips, and for a moment my brain shut down and I almost thought...this felt good. The room was filled with the soft sound of Capris' whimpers, and a mix of Xanthe and I's lips smacking together awkwardly.
Unable to restrain himself, Xanthe pressed his weight against me, and I was sure my legs would give out. He pulled away to catch his breath, my lips throbbing, and I knew they'd eventually bruise. He runs his tongue over my bottom lip, a smirk forming as he leans away, and he is quick to dismiss me. I stare blankly, unable to believe this entire situation. I turn on my heel and just leave, without any words or comments. I didn't want to fight or argue, or listen to either Xanthe or Capris. I was done for the night. I would go to my block and sleep to forget this whole dispute.
