King of Hearts

Chapter 64 – Life Behind A Desk.

Don Pitch Robotnik's POV, Robotnik compound, New York.

I was getting reports every hour or so from the teams out in the city. Skier was so weak without Reaver his rackets were falling without a single bullet being ever fired. Most of the owners knew Skier was losing it to us and were more then happy to hand over the protection money. It wouldn't be more then another hour till his compound was all that was left.

Sitting behind my desk was weird however. I felt like all I was doing was sitting here. Like I wasn't really helping. I was just telling. Is this what being a don is like all the time? Just giving orders and sitting down on your ass all day? Cause if it is then it's no wonder why Don Morgue is so big. This is boring. Yet I'm sure my uncle would tell me otherwise. Actually...I don't know what he would tell me? Ever since he became my Underboss he's gotten really weird. It's like he's just mad all the time now and I don't know why. Is it me he's mad at? I wondered as Rover came walking through my office door with Lace behind him.

"How did it go?" I asked him as he stopped before my desk to reply.

"Like most of New York already. The chief was already aware of the change in power the second Reaver was killed. He's more then glad to aid us so long as we don't cause too much trouble."

"And for the compound?" I wondered as he quickly replied.

"He's going to do his best to keep the area clear of police. But he said he can't protect us from a lone officer wandering the streets."

Nodding my head to the answer I was given, I was caught off guard as Lace wondered.

"Need us to do anything else kid?"

After giving the matter some thought, I replied.

"Most of the rackets in New York are ours and as soon as the ports are cleared and our men control the warehouse; we can get moving in on the compound. I would like it if you two stayed close to lead the distraction for Damien to get in."

Rover and Lace both agreed in kind. And gently pulling back, Rover urged.

"Well when things are set to go I'll be ready. In the meantime, I'm going to get some of the younger guys ready."

Nodding as he left the room, I looked to Lace to wonder.

"What about you? Shouldn't you go help him?"

Giving me a small smile, Lace shut my office door to reply.

"He's a big boy. He can handle it."

Sitting back in my chair in confusion and a little bit of heat, I questioned.

"So what are you going to do now?"

Approaching me she replied.

"Help you."

Letting out a chuckle with a small blush to my cheeks, I stated back to her.

"But I'm fine right now."

Shaking her head as she came around to sit on top of my desk, she replied.

"No your not. I can tell. You looked bored to death just sitting here."

"So?" I questioned as she took a hold of my chair to roll me towards her.

"So...maybe I can help."

Now with a full blush, I bit my lip to wonder.

"How?"

Keeping a smile on her beautiful face, Lace leaned in to kiss me. After the first one; I pulled away to state.

"Lace! I'm too young for this!"

Grabbing me by the neck she ordered.

"Shut up. You started this back at the park so now your going to finish it by kissing me."

"I didn't know you liked it that much." I stated as my response as she calmly pulled me close.

"Well you surprised me. I didn't think a kid your age could kiss that good. So are you going to keep stalling me? Or are you just going to man up and take responsibility?"

Giving her a smile I replied.

"If it means I get to kiss you again then I'll take full responsibility for what I did."

With her warm breathe running along my lips, she smiled back to reply.

"Good. Now pay up."

Taking me in her arms, I wrapped my hands around her back to lean in and kiss her. Lace was too good at this for a military girl. Made me question a little.

Feeling her tongue enter my mouth, I lowered my hands a little to hear the door open once more. Opening back up my eyes as Lace didn't seem to hear it at all. I widened up to see my door guard Nick who was coming in to tell me he was now on duty. He stopped almost instantly as he saw Lace on my desk making out with me.

I was surprised Lace didn't hear him or maybe she didn't care, but it was funny when Nick slowly backed up to give me a thumbs up from the door.

Trying not to laugh with Lace's tongue still in my mouth, I watched as he left to shut the door.

"What was that?" She wondered as she pulled back to look at the door.

Pulling her closer, I replied.

"Nothing. Now come here."

Taking control this time. I pulled Lace back into my chair until she was sitting on my lap.

"Your a frisky little kid aren't ya?"

Her butt was so tight and warm on my legs that I looked back into her eyes to reply.

"I can't help it with you so close."

Wrapping back around my neck, she then urged.

"Well don't leave me waiting then."

"Never." I stated as our lips went back together softly.

Keeping my hands on her waist out of respect, I only focused on what I told Rover. I'm not going to pressure her into anything more that she doesn't want to do.

With time passing by as we kept together as one, I retracted to ask.

"So when is our next lesson together going to be with this war going on?"

Pulling back to look into my eyes, she replied.

"Well with the way things are going, how about we try something tomorrow? I can maybe try and teach you how to use your core."

"What do you mean?" I asked in confusion as she kept a hold of my neck to urge.

"Just wait. All right?"

Not forcing her to answer any more then she already has. I nodded and replied with a smile.

"Deal."

"Good." She stated with a small smile as she leaned back in to kiss me more.

Well we can see the difference between Pitch and Lace compared to Cora and Lilith. Leave a love and a hug and I'll have another up tomorrow.
