King of Hearts

Chapter 74 – Unexpected Landing.

Hash's POV, Above Columbia.

They were aware. It was clear the states must have found out I bailed after killing those men in Boston. If I knew what was going to happen next I would do something about it but I'm thousands of feet above Columbia. My only option is to wait till we land. But if I knew the states they called ahead and the military will be waiting for us upon arrival. As far as they are concerned this is an international terrorist attack.

The only way out of this would be to run the second this plane hits earth. If I wait till the terminal the military will be all over my ass and I'll be shot. I can't afford that. Nor any combat with the troops. I would be wanted all across the globe if I ice one of them. I had to run. Run and run and don't stop till I get somewhere safe. Chances are that no where is though. Fuck it. I'll just have to wing it as best as I can. And if anyone gets in my way I'll just have to do what's necessary.

With the crew watching me like a hawk I made my way to the bathroom. Near the stall was a flight attendant. She couldn't be any older then twenty. Her eyes feared me. I saw it in her smile as she tried her best to avoid eye contact with me.

Locking the door behind me, I quickly got out of the uniform I was in and back down to my normal clothes. A dark pair of blue jeans and a green tee covered by a black leather jacket. Keeping my gun on the counter I looked up at a speaker as I heard from the pilot.

Ladies and gentlemen we will be landing shortly. We do ask that you buckle in and remain in your seats till the all good is cleared through by the tower. Just relax and we'll be down to the ground momentarily.

Taking the hint, I checked my Jericho and pulled back on the receiver and released the safety. I had a plan. The crew would try and hold me for the authority but I didn't plan on letting that happen. Staring at myself in the mirror as the plane lowered it's height, I waited till I felt the wheels touch down before raising my gun. After some final moments of reprieve, I turned for the door and opened it up as fast as I could to point at the flight attendant who was seated in her flight chair.

"Get up!" I ordered as I reached for her arm to yank her up and into my arms as a shield to the rest of the crew.

"AGHHHH!" She screamed as I placed my gun to her head.

"Open the door!" I ordered as they were pinned by fear.

Not taking my chances I pointed to the girl's hip I was holding.

"BANG!"

"AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" There were so many screams around me from the gunshot the flight attendant immediately went for the nearest wing exit to begin pulling the emergency hatches.

With the girl bleeding out in my arms I watched close as the door was finally opened. With wind gushing through from the plane still moving, I ordered the other attendant.

"Move!"

Getting out of the way, I moved me and the girl towards the exit to look out the door from over my shoulder to see nothing but airstrip below. It was a good twenty feet to the ground, but my choices are already made.

Sending the wounded woman forward into her co workers, I took my opportunity to jump out the exit.

Preparing my body for the fall, I miscomprehended physics and was caught off guard by the force I fell with and by the angle.

Shutting my eyes as the ground was incoming, I landed directly on my upper right shoulder and head.

"Bash!"

Hitting with such force, my eyes went black and all I felt was my body tumbling to a stop. After a near minute of blacking out, I regained my vision to find my shoulder ripped open and the side of my head cracked. It wasn't that bad, but my shoulder was not going to support me and my head was going to send me on a trip if it was not treated in time.

Struggling to my feet, I looked around to find the plane pulling into the terminal which was a good mile away. I could see military trucks all around it's parking spot and I only had a few minutes till they found out I had bailed to get out of here. But the only way out was over a large fence and down a steep incline. God I won't be in any shape to do what I came here for if I fall down there.

With my legs moving I panicked as I looked back to see the trucks turning around and heading my way.

With the army on my trail I knew this was now a race for my life.

Sorry for not getting this up, I had work for the past week. But I'll do my best to keep this going. Make sure to leave a review and let me know what you think.
