King of Hearts
Chapter 77 – Shax.
Shax's POV, Frank's Butchery, Boston.
"Tap. Tap. Tap."
This place...it was for animals. Dead or alive they are all dead in the end.
"Let me go please! I promise it won't happen again! Tell Don Morgue that I will give him whatever he wants! Just don't kill me like this! I'm begging you!"
My head was down as I sat under an animal. A fat, disgusting, human man. Reminds me of my father. Never cared about anything till it was too late to do anything. Maybe doing this will give me the pleasure I needed I for the night to end.
The man I stripped naked. His fat body hung by it's wrists before me as I continued to contemplate.
The hooks were all held in my hands as the man begged one last time.
"Please let me go! I'll do anything!"
Very slowly at those words I brought up my eyes to stare at him with a blank expression.
Gently getting up I replied.
"Every word. Every word is meaningless to me. You have nothing we want. Nothing can be said or done to save you. This is your hour. Do what's right and accept it. You'll be dead soon enough. Just think about it. You can die in peace."
"Then just shoot me! Don't torture me like this!"
"No. You made your fortune by killing and torturing these animals. Now your the animal and I get the pleasure of hollowing your gut for processing."
Frank was scared beyond all degrees as I approached with the hooks to say.
"Your not worth a bullet. This is why you accept what's about to happen. The sooner you do that the sooner you can move on in peace and I can go."
"Fuck you, you son of a...!" Cutting him off by putting back on the tape I had once taken off his mouth I took hold of one of the many hooks and placed it deep through his left nipple. Then another to his right and slowly placing the rest around and under his belly. Once they were all set I ran my hand along the metal strings and towards the puller. As I got them locked in the machine I looked back to see the man crying.
Growing a frown I approached him to ask.
"You don't want this, do you?"
Nodding I reached under my red suit jacket to take out my M9.
"If you want me to kill you with this you need to promise me something."
Locking his eyes on me, I said.
"You need to forgive me for killing you. Do you forgive me?"
It took him a minute, but in the end I got my closure by him nodding.
"Let me hear you say it."
Pulling off the tape one last time he cried.
"I forgive you! Just kill me already!"
Nodding slowly, I looked to my gun to raise it to his head. I could see the hope in his eyes as I pulled the trigger.
"Click!"
A smile came over my face as he screamed.
"YOU SICK FUCK!"
Laughing I said to myself.
"I guess I forgot to load it."
Putting my gun away along with my sick joke, I approached the puller to turn it on.
"STOP!" He begged as I could see his skin peeling forward off his body.
Taking a seat as he began to scream louder then any pig, I watched closely as in a sudden sharp pull his ribcage was torn wide open.
The man's face went still as all his organs and pint after pint of blood came rushing out onto the floor below our feet.
Soon the blood reached my shoes and I took my time to approach the body hanging before.
Running a finger along the edge of one of his broken ribs, I got some blood piled on and brought it back to my mouth.
The taste wasn't the one I was searching for. I highly doubt I'll ever taste her again. But one can hope.
After cleaning my hand, I gathered my hat and made my way towards the exit to find my car waiting outside. Soon placing myself within, I began the drive back home. My home.
Twenty minutes later.
Getting in, I took care to place both my hat and gun alongside my other few valuables. I didn't have much. Then again I never did. I had a bed, an enclosed room locked away from the world, a small dresser and a locked steel hard case. In that case was my life. Someone only two people knew about. Me...and my dad.
Placing myself down on the bed, I gently took off my suit jacket and rested it folded down on the floor. After I was comfortable I looked to the clock to see it was going on midnight.
"Vrrrrrr! Vrrrrrr!"
Glancing down to my pocket I pulled out my cellphone to see it was Don Morgue. I could already guess what he wanted. I can guess what anybody in the world wanted. People were animals. I'm the only sane one to date this existence. Accepting his call I asked.
"What? I'm getting ready for bed."
In a calm tone Don Morgue asked.
"Did you deal with Frank my boy?"
Undoing my tie I replied.
"He won't be bothering us again. Is that all you wanted?"
Giving me some silence I went to hang up to be cut off by his next set of words.
"I want you to come down to the compound tomorrow. We need to talk."
"Talk now."
"I can't say anymore. This needs to be a face to face son."
Going silent I soon replied.
"Fine. I'll be by in the morning. This better not be a waste of my time."
"It never is Shax. It never is. Goodnight."
Hanging up on my boss as soon as he finished, I got my phone rested down on the rest of my clothes and took my careful leave to begin my rest.
This is how I liked it. Alone and away from anyone to bother me. The people up there were just all waiting to die. Not a single person up there is capable of life. Of any meaning. Especially one man.
Don Jeremiah Soul's POV, Soul compound.
With a bottle in my hand and my mind lost, I looked at the oldest and most disgusting person I ever had the pleasure of knowing. My only son. Shax.
Somewhere he's sleeping. Sometime he hopes to see me dead. And every time he dreams it's him pulling the trigger just like he did to his mother. Along with Hash he was the only thing on my mind at this point. I worked hard to bring him into this world and now he thinks he's a lone walker of the divide called Earth. One day I'll see him again. Somewhere perfect. Somewhere where I can finish what I somehow started between us. But is it right? Is it right to want your own son dead? I wondered as I laid back in my chair to see Vexer come walking into my office with a frown on his face.
Inside I wanted to hear from him that Hash was okay and coming back to me, but with a shake of his head he said.
"I'm sorry. I couldn't find him anywhere."
Rage came over me as I sent my desk aside in anger.
Shax's picture fell under my feet.
Remember to leave a review. I'll have another on tomorrow.
mT Shadow.
