I'm finally on spring break, so I've been making up for lost time lately. Watched 14 episodes straight of Attack on Titan yesterday; if you haven't ever seen it, check it out. Freaking mind-bending. Also, on an excitably nerdy note, I think I'll be doing a collab story with one of my favorite fanfiction authors sometime over the next week. I'll name the story and author in one of my next chapters if that comes into fruition.
Chapter 26: The Grass is Greener
"Rhyme! Err, any chance you're free today?"
"Oh…I'm sorry, Beat. I'm actually going shopping with Shiki in a little while."
"Aw, man! Are you for real?"
"For real. Why, what's the matter?"
"Eri again. She always wants to hang out with me and I just need a little space, but the last time I tried to tell her that, she got pissy and hit me…why are you laughing?!"
"Big bad Beat is having more relationship problems?"
"H-hey! Easy, Rhyme!"
"Okay! Sorry, sorry! *snirk*
"I just want to kick it with someone else today, ya know?"
"No, I really don't, but then again, they say that the grass is greener on the other side."
"That be some jacked up land, yo."
"It means that I'm single so I think you have it good, but you're in a relationship, so you think I've got it good."
"So you're saying that you would rather be going on a date than shopping with Shiki?"
"Much rather."
"Interesting…"
One Hour Later…
"Beat! …oh, it's you, Rhyme! What are you doing here?"
"H-hey, Eri. A-ha…funny story…"
"Where's Beat at?"
"Well…he decided he wanted to switch plans with me for the day…"
"So that means…"
"I'm your date today."
"Ah…well, whatever! Want to go watch a movie?"
"I'd love to!"
Meanwhile…
"Put these on right now!"
"Dammit, Shiki, I told you, I ain't about that life!"
"What's wrong with Mus Rattus?"
"Well, nothing if you're a metrosexual beach boy, but I'm a man! Why don't we just hit up Wild Boar?"
"Wild Boar isn't fashionable!"
"Sure it is!"
"Beat…I swear to God, you're going to wear this if I have to forcibly take your clothes off."
"W-what? Damn, this is what I switched Rhyme for? I got straight ho'd!"
