Spirit: Hello! Here is chapter three. I hope you enjoy it!
Mist: Constructive criticism is much appreciated. We'd like to know how to better improve our stories!
Disclaimer: We do not own GH. We only own our own OC/s and the plot line.
EDIT 24/08/2016: I'd like to apologise for the lack of translations for the Japanese further down, as I forgot to write them down so I now have little idea of what the heck Madoka and Kaede are actually saying. I also hope I didn't get anything wrong and insult someone since I'm pretty sure I used Google Translate.
-Flashback-
Kaede stood outside the large house where the Davis' lived. It wasn't so much a house as a mansion or a small manor. Madoka stood next to her as she admired the scenery. The place was very well kept and had a beautiful garden. It was a beautiful sunny day in England which was relatively rare since over the past month and a half that Kaede had been there it'd either been overcast or raining.
"Uchigawa ni iku junbi ga dekite?" Madoka asked.
"Hai. No wa, kore o norikoeru to shimashou." Kaede replied, making Madoka laugh.
"Karera wa anata ga shitte kamandaku narimasu. Karera wa hontoni hijo ni idesu." Madoka replied, still chuckling slightly.
"Kashikomarimashita. Ikimashou." Kaede replied with a sigh.
Madoka and Kaede walked up the steps and before they could knock, the door swung open revealing a woman in her thirties. The woman swooped forward and bundled Kaede into her embrace and hugged her tight.
"…Ikigadekinai! Madoka wa, tasukete!" Kaede choked out.
"Luella, Kaede can't breathe. Perhaps you might let go of her, now." Madoka said, laughing slightly.
"Sore wa omoshiroi Madoka wa arimasen!" Kaede said angrily when she caught her breath again. She shot a glare in Madoka's direction.
"Sorry, dear. I didn't mean to hurt you." Luella apologised. Madoka grinned at the disgruntled girl.
"It's alright." Kaede replied, frowning a bit.
"Do come in and meet my husband. I'm afraid you won't see my sons, they're too busy with their own things." Luella told her as the trio walked inside. The door shut behind them as they walked through the entrance hall and into the main living room.
-Flashback End-
"Mai, tea!" Naru demanded. Said girl sighed and grabbed Kaede by the arm, dragging her to the kitchen.
"I swear, that narcissist drinks more tea in an hour than I can eat chocolate." Mai huffed, making her twin giggle. Kaede swept her bangs to the side, pushing the end behind her ear before walking to the cupboard and grabbing a packet of biscuits out. Mai worked on the tea right before a scream echoed through the house.
The twins abandoned what they were doing and ran towards the sound of the screaming. They found Megumi in the doorway of the living room staring at the child on the floor and her aunt who had blood around her mouth and all over her fingers. Naru, Lin and the others came running down the hall and stared at the sight before them. Suddenly the blood on Kasumi disappeared and she passed out with a final laugh. While they were all focused on the bloodless child and an unconscious Kasumi, writing appeared on the wall opposite them. Mai looked up and squeaked, getting the attention of the others standing with her.
LEAVE NOW OR THE GIRLS WILL DIE!
"It's written in blood." Mai whispered. Naru turned to look at her with a look that said 'Of course moron.' Mai didn't see the look and stared at her sister fearfully. Kaede looked at her twin and gave her a reassuring hug.
"From now on all the women under the age of twenty will be in pairs. You're not to leave each other alone under any circumstances. Kaede, Mai and Masako will stay in a group unless John, Bou-san, Lin or I are available to escort you. Understood?" Naru told the group in his usual no nonsense tone. The group nodded and walked back to base. Lin carried Kasumi back to her room, Megumi walking beside him staying silent. Mai and Kaede walked back to the kitchen to finish making the tea that Naru had requested.
"I've seen you looking at Mai." Megumi said quietly.
"Oh, really?" Lin asked, raising an eyebrow slightly and flicking his gaze to Megumi.
"Yes. You know they say the eyes are the window to the soul. You may not physically show it but I can see in your eyes the fondness you have for Mai." Megumi replied.
"I see, anything else to add?" Lin asked.
"Don't hurt her. If you do, you will be sorry." Megumi continued, warning him.
"Is that a threat?"
"No, it's a promise."
"I won't hurt her that I can promise. I can't say the same for Kazuya though." Lin replied with a small sigh.
"I know. She thinks she likes him but I can tell it's futile." Megumi said sadly.
They arrived at Kasumi's room and Lin placed her gently on the bed, leaving Megumi to tend to her Aunt while he returned to base. He needed to get some work done.
A/N: Aaaannnnd that's a wrap! I'm not sure if this one is short or not since I began writing this one a while back. Mist has, unfortunately, stopped participating in writing this fic with me much to my disappointment. I'd also like to point out I'll be signing off as Shadow rather than Spirit since I've changed my username. You should all count yourselves lucky that I've decided to continue this story without my sister, the only reason I'm doing so is because I feel the urge to write even if I had no plans to abandon the story (and I still don't), I wasn't going to update for a while due to the busy life of being a college student. Anyway, please review!
