I was the woman from my vision; she and I were one being. I could feel all she did, hear all she said. I could not see clearly, my vision was clouded, blurry. She was alone with one of the men who held her captive, but who he was I could not tell. He had pulled her from her cage and tossed her to the floor.
He was yelling at her but I could not hear his words clearly. His voice was distorted as if he was far away, or under water. He was angry, but it was as if his anger brought him great joy. She was scared and was backing away from him; across the floor pleading with him to stop. He like this, to him this was a game. He closed in on her grabbing her by her hair and throwing her across the room. She hit the floor and I felt her pain as if it were my own. She was crying out for a help that would never come. I felt him climb on top of her and hold her down.
"Please." She cried out. "Please stop." Her words fell on death ears.
She was alone with a mad man, and the things he was doing to her were unreal. I felt it all, every foul touch, every punch…everything he did to her he was doing to me. She tried to fight him, but he was far too powerful of a man for her to do so. Her fighting him made him attack her more; it was if he enjoyed her fighting him.
"No." She cried out. "No." He was relentless in his attack on her, and he enjoyed every moment of it. She was helpless and could do nothing to stop his attack. Whoever this man was he was brutal, cruel, and he knew no boundaries. She cried out begging him to stop, but he would not do so. She cried out for help, but none came.
His attack went on and on, he forced her to do things she did not comprehend. She wanted to escape, wanted to get away from the mad man she faced. She had never felt so alone in all her life. She thought of her family and missed them greatly. She wanted to tell them she loved them one last time. She knew these were her last moments in life. She knew she was going to die, cold and alone with a mad man.
He did things to her that was gut-wrenching, things no man would do to a woman, and I felt them all. She tried one last time to push him away but could not do so. I saw the flash of the blade just before he drew it across her throat. I felt the coldness of the Dura steel and began to gag on blood as she did.
Tears fell from her eyes as she tried one last time to cry out. She felt deaths coldness grip her and knew her last moments were upon her. Death's darkness was all around her pulling her away from life's precious light.
I felt everything she had endured, and now it seemed death had me as well. I felt the darkness of death all around me. I wanted to break free from its hold but could not do so. Was I dyeing like she was? I was cold and in a state of being I did not understand. I knew I had to fight against the darkness, knew I had to break free from its grasp. It was all around me, making me lost with in it.
I called upon the force, but it was as if it was far from me. As if I had lost the ability to call upon it. I felt week as if I had no strength left in my body. The coldness grew and the darkness with it, then I felt a warmth. It wrapped its self around me calling my name.
"Keira." It called, but the voice was so far away. Then I saw a light its soft glow was that of the sun rising. "Keira." It called to me, its voice louder this time.
I wanted to call out to the light, but could not do so. Then the light wrapped itself around me pulling me away from the darkness. The light welcomed me into its soft embrace.
"Keira." The light called to me, with its soft voice. The voice I knew that voice.
"Please." I gasped out. "Please help me." My voice sounded broken, as if I was gasping for air.
"Keira." I could hear the voice louder this time, and I knew it was closer.
The light held on to me wrapping itself around me. Suddenly the darkness pulled me back towards its vast depth's. It wanted me, needed me, and welcomed me into its madness. The light would not let me go, it held on to me refusing to give in. I was caught in the never ending battle between light and dark. I wanted the light, and its warmth. I felt the light wrap itself around me holding me close.
The light called to me as it held me in its warmth. The voice I knew the voice. It was Obi Wan's voice he was calling to me, he was the light.
"Keira." He called to me. "Open your eyes." His soft voice whispered to me. "Keira I am here."
I needed to open my eyes, I needed out of my vision, out of the darkness. I felt the power of the Force as it wrapped itself around me, protecting me from the darkness. I was wrapped with its powerful light and I felt it flowing through me.
I tried to open my eyes but could not do so. I felt the power of the Force flow from him to me. He was pulling me from the darkness towards the Force's powerful light.
"Help me." I called out.
"Open your eyes Keira." He said to me. "You're in a vision Keira, open your eyes." I felt his strength flow through me and I knew I could now open my eyes..
I opened my eyes and felt the sting of my tears as they slid down my face. I gasped and shuttered as the memories of the vision flashed across my mind.
"Easy Keira." He whispered to me. "Its over." I realized I was wrapped with in his arms, and mine were around him.
"She's dead." I whispered still gasping for air.
"I am sorry Keira, I am so sorry." He said to me.
"I lived her last moments, felt everything she did." I had to take a deep breath and I felt his grip on me tighten. "I have never had a vision like that and I never want one again." "One of the men who held her captive killed her." I said to him my voice cracking as I did so. I did not sound like any Jedi I knew. I sounded like a child.
"Easy Keira." He said. His voice calm, and soft. "Calm yourself, slow your breathing and focus, find your center." He said to me. I gave a nod and did as he had said.
I called on the Force and felt my body relax, my breathing calm. As I did my mind cleared and my thoughts centered. I remembered what Obi Wan had said before about the vision. I needed to focus on the things around me, not the vision itself. I focused on the things around her in my vision. It took a moment, but then it came to me. There was her cage, a chair, a desk with a small com unit, a sleep couch and a chain on the wall. I focused more and the on the far wall saw symbols. There was a black sun, and a black hand tougher they joined with a black heart.
"I see three symbols on a wall." I said to him. "The two are one with the third; it is as if the three are one. I see a black sun and a black fist joining with a black heart." Obi Wan sighed then took a deep breath. "You know these symbols?" I asked.
"I know of the Black Sun, and of the Black Fist. They are crime origination's, and both are very nasty. The Black Sun syndicate deals in almost everything nasty known to man. If you can think it they do it. As to the Black Fist, they are a crime family that is hired assassins and narcotics dealers. You said they were joined by a black heart?"
"Yes. It's as if they are one, not three"
"I have never heard of the Black Heart. My guess is the three have joined their syndicates tougher to make one. What else did you see?"
"I see her cage, a desk, a chair, a chain on the wall and a sleep couch. There is nothing else, I am sorry." I said.
"There is nothing to be sorry for Keira you have given us a great lead. Do you want to talk about what he did to her in the vision?" He asked. I did but not at this moment.
"I need a moment." I said. He gave me a nod of understanding. I shifted with in his arms and felt the stinging sensation of my face. Oh Sith I thought as I brought my hand to my face. "Does it look as bad as it feels?" I said not really wanting to know the answer.
"It does not look good Keira." He said.
"It hurts like it feels." I said. He snorted as he stood.
He said nothing to me as he walked into the refresher. Moments later he appeared with a wet towel and a med kit in his hands. He set the med kit down on the sleep couch as he sat next to me. Then he held the wet towel to my face. The coolness felt good against my face and I could not help but to lean into it.
"Keira are you all right?"
"I have been better."
"You have endured more than one could ever ask someone to endure." He said.
"So have you." I said, we both have given and endured more on this mission then any Jedi mission I know of.
"Thank you Keira". He said.
"You're welcome." I sighed. "My head hurts." I said.
"I am quite sure it does, after last night and this morning I am surprised you're even able to sit up. That's a lot of stress for one person to deal with Keira."
He opened the med kit and pulled out a Bacta tube and a hypo-injector. He gave me a stern look as if to say I was getting this weather I liked it or not.
"No commits from you this morning." I gave a nod and said nothing, what was there to say. He opened to tube and placed some Bacta on his finger. "This might sting a little." He said. It did not hurt; my face hurt more than the Bacta did, though I would not tell him that. Once he was done he picked up the hypo-injector and injected the medicine into my arm. "Do you want to lie back down and rest while I fix us something to eat?" He asked.
"No." I said. "I think I will wash up and get ready for today. What do you think I should wear around him?"
"Hum." He said looking at me as he stood walking over to the closet we now shared. He opened the door and looked in and then pulled out a long low cut blue dress, and a pair of slip on flats to match. "Something simple." He said. "How about this?" He said holding it out to me.
I gave him a nod and slowly stood. He sat the stuff down on the edge of the sleep couch and stood in front of me. The way he looked at me was how he looked at me last night; when he saw my face. It is a look I will never forget. "I am so, so sorry for this Keira."
"You need not apologize for something you did not want to do but were forced to do."
"Never the less I caused the action to occur. I did not watch what I said around him; as a result this is what happened. For that I am so sorry."
Then he reached out and placed his hand on my face. I felt him call upon the Force and I felt it flow from him to me. It washed over me like a wave washing over the sand. It calmed me, soothed me made me fell…..as if I were the wave. I let out a small sigh, and felt my body relax completely. I felt as if I was floating, drifting into a sense of absolute peace.
"Better." He asked as he pulled his hand from my face.
"Yes." I said staring into his eyes. "Will you teach me to do that?" I asked.
"It will come to you in time Keira, when I was your age I could not do it. It comes with time and experience." He said with a smile. "The more you open yourself to the Force, the more it will flow through you."
I gave a nod and stood watching him walk away. I went and washed up and dressed for the day. I pulled my hair back and braided it. I put no makeup on; I wanted Sin to see the full effect of my face. I then walked out and sat on the floor in the center of the room.
I cleared all my thoughts and felt the power of the Force call to me. I called on it to guide me and Obi Wan today. I sat there as it flowed through me and I listened to its voice. I felt Obi Wan's presence the moment he walked into the room. I knew he had set the tray down and knew he was now behind me.
"I know you're there." I said.
"Good." He said as he sat down next to me. "You're finally learning." He said sarcastically.
"I guess it's your outstanding teaching." I snapped back.
"Of course it is." He said with his usual mocking tone.
I opened my eyes and turned to look at him. He gave me a smile and I smiled in return.
We sat and ate the food he had made for us. He had made some type of sandwich with Nerff steak, cheese and some type of veggie. We sat there on the floor glad for this silent moment knowing soon Sin would be here, and the silence would be gone. Once done we cleaned up and readied ourselves for Sin's arrival.
"Keira it's time to talk about the vision?" Obi Wan said leaning against the desk. I gave a small nod. I knew he was right. I had to talk about it. What he did to he was unreal. This was not something I should hold in.
"I lived her last moments, felt all she did, heard her words. The things he did to her, no man would ever do to a woman." I said. "He enjoyed it. As if it were some sick twisted game he played. He ….." I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. "He violated her….then he slit her throat." I shook my head. "It was like nothing I have ever known. I have never had a vision like that, she and I were one. I don't know how to describe it I felt what he did to her when he violated her." He sat next to me and placed a hand on my knee.
"Are you all right?" He had asked the question before, but I knew why he asked it now.
"I am." I said as I turned my head to look at him. "I do not understand why I had such a vision, but I will trust in the Force."
"I do not know why you have had such a vivid vision? I do know you have given us vital information that we need." He gave me a small smile. "Though I am sorry that information came with such a vision." I gave a nod and sighed; it was time for Sin to be here. "Are you ready for this?" He asked.
"If I say no can we leave him behind?"
"No. Nice try though." I snorted and shook my head. "Keira remember what I told you. Sin is not a man to be trifled with. I have no doubt he will hurt you if he is alone with you or violate you in some unthinkable way. I know you can handle yourself Keira; but you are not ready in your skill to take a man like Sin." I gave a nod, knowing he was right. "Stay with me at all times and do not place yourself in a position where he can get you alone."
"I won't." I said. "Besides I have the dashing Jedi Master to protect me against the mean nasty man." I said to him in a childlike voice batting my eyes at him.
"What does this Dashing Jedi get for protecting the pretty girl?" He said playfully to me.
"The satisfaction of knowing he kept her safe. After all He is a Jedi and he is supposed to be selfless." I said in a mocking tone. I can play the teasing game just as good as he could. Ok. Maybe not as good as he could, but I could try.
"What if he decided not to be selfless and wanted something from her in return what would she be willing to give?" Oh he's good.
"What would he want?" I could play this game. He looked at me and ran his right hand along his beard. Then he smiled as he said.
"He would want a kiss from her and not just any kiss; he would want her to kiss him fully." Yep he is good.
"Kissing fully often leads to other things, such things are forbidden to Jedi; surely he would know such a thing." I said to him with a smile. Out do me on that one Master tight pants.
"The action it's self is not forbidden it's the attachment that is behind the action." Dam I did not see that one coming. Yep, he out did me.
"So she is to let him use her for his pleasure? What is she to him a simple pleasure girl?" Ha top that I thought to myself.
"He does not see her as a simple pleasure girl, nor does he want to use her for his pleasure. He wants to pleasure her in a way she has never known. Show her what real pleasure is." He reached a hand out and touched the side of my face. Ok. I got nothing, nothing at all. He had me and he knew it. "What would she say to him then? What would she say if he wanted to show her such pleasure?" Oh Sith he was good, he could charm a serpent out of its skin.
"She would say yes." Oh stars did I just say that.
He gave me a wicked smile then said. "Then he will save her from whatever danger comes her way and hold her to her promise."
Dam he is good real good no wonder people say he can talk his way out of anything. "You're good." I said.
"Want to see how good?" He asked. Sith I left myself open again. I really needed to stop doing that.
"Yes." I said looking him in his eyes. That was probably not the best things to say, but I had nothing else. Besides it's not like he is going to do anything. This is a game right? Wrong.
Suddenly I was on my back and he was straddled over me, his face inches from mine. I had no idea what to do or what to say. I just lay their staring into his blue eyes. It was at that moment I realized just how beautiful his eyes were. They were a blue like I had never seen. I saw a flash of something in his eyes and then it was gone.
His expression changed to something I could not read. He had me pined against the sleep couch his entire body over mine. I could feel his warm breath on my face and I felt like I could not breathe. "You look like a youngling who just got caught with her hand in the cookie jar." He said to me. I said nothing what was there for me to say? Maybe just this once if I kept my mouth shut, I would not get into trouble. "Nothing to say." He whispered.
"No." I said. He smiled and leaned in like he was going to kiss me then stopped.
"Never say yes to something you're not willing to do." He said sitting up and pulling me with him. "Or someone just might take you up on your offer." I wonder what he would say if I told him I was serious. Mr. lives by the rules. I thought about telling him I really meant yes but then thought better of it. Maybe I will hold that card till later in this game and fold when the time was right. "Now back to the matter at hand." Wait what! He changed the subject that quickly, as if there was nothing behind what just happened. Ok there was nothing behind what really happened, but you get my point right. "The place we are going Keira is a nasty place to say the least. I'll have you on the lead, but stay by my side at all times." I gave a nod. "Convey all to me through the Force and I will do the same to you. I do not know what the next few days will bring; but I know it won't be easy."
"There has been an easy part to this mission?" I questioned him.
"Funny." He said to me. "You know what I mean." I did, but I want to toss some sarcasm his way.
"You do know there are a thousand things that could go wrong in the next ten hours." I said.
"Tell me something I don't know." He shot his sarcasm back at me.
I shot him a look and he laughed. A buzzer sounded signaling us to Sins arrival. We looked at each other and booth took deep calming breaths. Obi Wan stood and walked over and took the shock collar off the desk; he walked back over and placed it on me. I stood and straightened myself and called on the Force to calm me.
He gave me a nod and I knew he had done the same as me. In that moment we cleared all thoughts of the morning and last night and we were ready for Sin. We took on the parts we were supposed to play.
I sat on the sleep couch pulling my knees to my chest and wrapping my arms around my knees. I took on the look of a woman beaten last night. Obi Wan looked at me and gave a nod with a small smile. Then he turned and walked out of the room to great Sin.
I sat their listing to Sin and Obi Wan great each other as they approached me. Sin walked in and looked at me with a smile.
"I see you put her in her place Ben." Sin said
"You thought I wouldn't?" Obi Wan asked him smugly.
"No. Never had a doubt." That was a lie if I ever heard one. He walked over and sat a small bag down on the sleep couch. "We should get on our way Ben. It will take us ten hours to get there, and the fight is late tonight."
"Then let's get going Sin." Obi Wan said. "After all you will need to place the coordinates in the nave-computer." Sin gave a nod and stood. "Luna stay here." Obi Wan said to me.
"Yes Master." I said not looking up at him. Tougher they walked out of the room and soon we were under way.
