I know, I know. I'm a horrible person for leaving you all waiting for as long as I have, and I apologize greatly. Writers block and the real world are bitches, and again I'm sorry. I'm going to try and start updating once a week/every two weeks, but I make no promises. I hope this chapter makes up for my absence. Also my respects to the Glee cast and Cory. Even though I've never liked Finn Hudson I always thought Cory was a good guy and a great actor. R.I.P. Enjoy : D
"Hello David," I say with a smirk, leaning against the locker next to his with my arms crossed. He eyes me warily for a moment before nodding at me and opening his locker.
"To what do I owe this pleasure Berry?" he questions after digging in his locker for a few seconds.
"I just wanted to make sure we have a few things clear," I tell him seriously, my smirk vanishing as I stand straight. He looks to me with a questioning look and I step forward menacingly. His questioning look turns frightened and he backs into the lockers behind him. I step just inches away and lean up to whisper into his ear heatedly, "If you're not serious about my little brother then call it off now!"
"I-I don't...What?" he squeaks out, looking around the hallway in terror as if I had shouted aloud. I raise an eyebrow in amusement for a moment before schooling my features into understanding.
"Look Dave," I sigh out, once again leaning up to whisper into his ear. "I know what it's like to be afraid of being yourself and so does Blaine. I'm not saying that you have to start screaming from the rooftops that you're gay, or even remotely acting like a couple with Blaine out in public in any sort of way, but I am saying that if you're just using my baby brother as an experiment then you're going to have Noah and I to deal with, as well as Santana, Sam, and Mike." I pull back and slap him on his shoulder with a bit of force. He jumps a good distance into the air and I have to hold back a chuckle. "Nice talking to ya buddy," I chirp with a grin before sauntering off to find my baby.
"Where were you?" Santana questions as I walk up to her, Quinn, Noah, and Britt in front of her locker.
"Taking care of some business," I tell her while sharing a knowing look with Noah. He nods with a smirk while the girls just stare at us in question.
"You didn't kill anyone did you babe?" Quinn asks in amusement, but also half way serious.
"Not this time love," I tell her before giving her a quick kiss and taking her hand, leading her to our first period class as the bell rings.
"So have you heard?" Kurt questions as he and Sam take a seat at our usual lunch table.
"Heard what Hummel?" Santana questions after a few beats of silence.
"We're competing against Dalton at Reginals," he tells us with a wary look in my direction.
"Of course we are," Noah growls out with a roll of his eyes. "It's like Hudson's a fucking disease. You think you're rid of him just to turn around and have him shoved right back in your face."
"Well if he knows what's good for him he'll keep his distance and keep his mouth shut," Mike says nonchalantly, looking up from some sort of blueprint him and Artie had been discussing before Kurt and Sam had sat down.
"You do realize we're talking about Finn right?" Sam asks Mike sceptically.
"Well one can only hope, right?" he says with a shrug before turning back to Artie and their previous discussion.
"Well I for one could care less that we're going up against Dalton," I speak up finally from Quinn's shoulder. Everyone looks to me in disbelief and I smirk. "We're going to smash them in the competition, and like Mike said, if Hudson knows what's good for him he'll keep his distance from us and keep his big mouth shut. If he decides not to then I'll just kick his ass again. It's been a little while since I've had a good fight," I say looking pointedly at Quinn. She just rolls her eyes and pokes me in my side causing me to yelp and smack her hand away with a glare.
"Yeah but Rae, I wouldn't necessarily call a fight with Hudson a good one," Noah points out with a raised brow.
"While that's completely true, it's still fun as hell," I tell him with a grin.
"Anyways," Quinn jumps in quickly, "On a non-idiot related topic, are you guys excited for the game tonight?" This question causes Mike to look away from his blueprints again with a grin matching mine, Noah's, and Sam's.
"Duh," Sam drawls with a playful eye roll while the rest of us nod.
"The bigger question is are y'all?" I ask with a smirk, referring to the three Cheerio's. "I mean this is the first year you guys have gotten to cheer for a winning football team."
"Not to mention that this is the first year that you guys get to cheer at a district championship game," Noah throws in with a cocky smirk before the other three can respond.
"I've gotta admit, it is a bit surreal," Britt says, causing Artie and Mercedes to stare at her in disbelief.
The rest of us stifle our amusement at their confusion while Santana glares at them with a growled out "Is there a problem?" This causes them to shake their heads quickly and refocus their attention elsewhere.
"Ok guys! I know that this has been a difficult game, but we're half way there and we have a pretty decent lead. All we've gotta do now is focus on keeping them from scoring and we've got this!" Noah yells excitedly at everyone sitting in the locker room. The first half has just ended and we're leading 56-42, and Noah's trying to keep everyone pumped up while we rest for a few minutes. We all chorus out our agreements and settle back to listen to coach Beiste go over the second half strategies. As soon as she's done we all huddle together and Noah yells loudly "Who are we?!" and we all respond in a shout with "The Titans!" We repeat this a few more times before we Noah shouts out "Damn right we are! Now lets go kick some ass!"
We all cheer loudly before running out of the locker room and back onto the field. We catch the last few moments of the Cheerio's routine and the crowd goes wild once it's completed, as do most of the football team. We then run onto the field to take our positions to even louder cheers from the fans, which I didn't think was possible. Noah and I fist-bump with a smirk before taking our positions and waiting for the kick-off.
As soon as the ball starts flying I tense and prepare myself to catch it while the other team charges us. I catch the ball and take off at a sprint, Noah and Mike in front of me clearing a path. A few guys manage to worm their way around my defenders and I'm able to stiff arm the first one and fake my way around the second one, but the third one manages to take me down, and hard.
"Rachel!" I hear Noah and Mike shout out as soon as I hit the ground. I groan out in pain, my neck and head throbbing, before I hear the refs whistle blowing repeatedly. I sit up, ignoring the dizziness, to see Noah and the guy who I'm assuming hit me toe to toe and screaming in each others faces. I try to get up just to fall back down again from a wave of dizziness, but before I can try to get up again I feel someone grab my arm and haul me up, supporting my weight when I sway on my feet.
"Are you ok Rae?" I hear Sam ask with slight panic in his voice. I just squeeze me eyes shut firmly to try and tamper the wave of nausea and dizziness. Once I'm sure my dinner's not going to be splattered on the field anytime soon I open my eyes to see Noah tackle the other guy and an all out brawl breaks loose on the field. I ignore Sam's question and sprint over to my brother, tackling another guy who was trying to grab him from behind.
Before anything else was able to happen the coaches and refs were able to come onto the field and gain control of the situation. We ended up getting penalized and over the booing of the crowd I was able to hear my teammates objections, especially Noah's.
"This is BULLSHIT! She was horse-collared! Where in the fuck is the penalty for that?! Huh?! Where?!" he screams, throwing his helmet down as hard as he can. I walk over to him and grab his face, forcing him to look me in the eye.
"Listen to me. I know that was a bullshit call, but don't let that get you kicked out of the game," I hiss at him, trying to rein in my own anger at the situation. "We need you to win, and I'll be damned if we don't go to state because of some dumbass ref and his bullshit calls. Do you hear me?" He glares at me and I raise an eyebrow and glare right back. "I said...do you hear me?!" I finally lose my patience and ask again, louder and more forceful. He finally gives me a nod of his head and I let his face go to wrap him in a hug. "Use this anger Ark. Use it as fuel to ensure us a win," I say before letting him go completely and rushing back out onto the field and into the huddle, Noah right on my heels.
We end up crushing them 70-42 with Noah scoring two more touchdowns and me running in a kick-off with only 5 seconds left on the clock. As soon as I make it into the endzone I feel myself being lifted by my teammates and revel in the deafening cheers from the stands. Once I'm let down I'm pulled into a breathtaking kiss and I wrap my arms around Quinn, spinning her in circles and laughing along with her when she breaks the kiss to squeal happily.
When everything finally starts to calm down we all make our way to the locker rooms to shower and get ready for the after party being held at Azimio's. Coach Sylvester ended up holding the Cheerios a bit longer to talk about their half-time performances, so Noah and I are leaning against the lockers waiting for them with Mike, Tina, and Sam. I'm a bit restless with all of the pent up adrenaline still pumping through my veins, so I decide to study what everyone's wearing to the party to try and pass the time.
Noah's dressed in a pair of stonewashed jeans with a natural hole in the left knee, a black muscle shirt, a deep red long-sleeved button up unbuttoned, his red lip ring, his black combat boots, and his black leather jacket. I'm in a pair of white skinny jeans with multiple rips along the front, a purple muscle shirt, my purple lip and tongue rings, my purple and white chucks, and my white leather jacket. Sam is in a pair of boot-cut blue jeans, a yellow polo, some construction boots, and his Letterman jacket. Mike's in a pair of black skinny jeans, a navy long-sleeved button up shirt, a black skinny tie loosely around his neck, and his all black Nike high-tops. Tina's in a black and blue striped dress that hugs her frame nicely with a pair of blue heels.
Just as I'm fixing to jump out of my skin in impatience the girls and Kurt come out of the locker rooms and I jump in excitement and rush over to Quinn, pulling her into a deep kiss. We break apart due to lack of air and I flip the others off for laughing at my excitement. We just became district champions and I scored the last touchdown, so they can all suck it.
"Well hello to you too," Quinn tells me with a chuckle and I just beam at her.
"Not to break up your sickening little moment and what-not, but we have a party to attend," Santana says, dragging Quinn out of my hold.
"Seriously Tana? I think you get some kind of sick satisfaction out of always interrupting us," I growl out as I catch up to them and wrap my arm around Quinn's waist.
"You know I do Yosh," she tells me with a wink. I just roll me eyes and hop onto my bike. Once Quinn's on and ready I rev my engine loudly and tare out of the parking lot with a "Later bitches!"
So there it was. Hopefully you all enjoyed it, and again I am very sorry. I hope you all can forgive me enough to drop me a few reviews. Thanks for reading : )
