The party is in full swing by the time I pull onto Azimio's street. I slow the bike down looking for a place to park and end up having to park at the end of the block. Not that I'm complaining, the further my baby is from drunk idiots the better. Once Quinn dismounts I quickly follow suit and grab her hand, giving it a quick kiss before pulling her in the direction of Az's house, to which I'm greeted to a round of boisterous cheering as soon as we step into the house.
I'm then ripped away from Quinn and passed around, getting random congratulatory hugs and pats on the back from people I've never even seen before. I'm finally shoved in Azimio and David's direction, thankful when Dave catches me and finally ends the game of pass the Rachel. "Great game Rae!" Az yells with a slur. "Yeah that return at the end was siiiiiiick," David begins excitedly, trailing off towards the end and looking behind me. I look over my shoulder quickly to see Blaine walk in with Kurt and Mercedes, Sam and the others on their heels. I quickly look to Azimio to see if he notices his best friend's not-so-subtle staring, but he's distracted by cheering for Mike, Sam, and Noah with the rest of the crowd. "There's nothing wrong with being his friend David," I tell him as I head into the kitchen to find Quinn. "Just don't forget our talk," I tell him with a wink and a dangerous smirk. I see him gulp visibly and nod slightly before I pass him into the kitchen.
QUINN POV
As soon as we step foot into this Godforsaken party Rachel is ripped away from me. I scowl in annoyance and track her progression around the room for a few minutes before becoming bored and heading into the kitchen to grab a drink. I look on the counters and in the coolers around the room only to find beer. Beer. Beer. And great! More beer! Gag. I sigh before looking in the fridge to find a 24-pack of Coke, one of Sprite, and a 12-pack of Dr. Pepper. I grab the Sprite and smile the first smile since I've gotten here when I open the freezer to see multiple different bottles. I grab the vodka and pour a good amount into a red solo cup, followed by some ice and the can of Sprite.
I hate parties. I've never been a big fan of them, but after everything that happened with Rachel I really can't stand them. I'd rather be curled up with her in our bed instead of surrounded by a bunch of obnoxious teenagers. I sigh again, resigned to my fate of being stuck here for at least another hour, and head into the living room to look for my fiancee. My path however, is blocked by the neanderthal who was responsible for jumping said fiancee. "What?!" I bark out with a deep scowl, HBIC out in full force. He just smirks at me and looks me up and down. "Listen jerk-off, I don't know why you're not currently sitting in a jail cell, but keep away from us," I snap before walking by him quickly, his smirk making me uncomfortable. Or at least trying to walk by him quickly. He grabs my arm and shoves me outside much quicker than I thought he could. I break his hold roughly and put some distance between us, arms folded defensively across my chest with my main glare burning holes into him. He continues to look at me with that same creepy smirk, but I refuse to falter under his gaze.
That is, until he starts to menacingly stalk towards me. I back up slowly and whimper slightly when my back comes into contact with a fence. The look in this kid's eyes is straight up sinister and I'm fixing to scream for Rachel when I hear my name being called. He growls angrily before turning and bolting out of the side gate, but not before winking and waving. Before I have the chance to process what happened Tina and Mercedes round the side of the house. "You ok girl? You look like you've seen a ghost," Mercedes questions in concern, stepping closer and putting her hand on my arm. I jump slightly but nod. "Ye-yeah. I'm good," I mumble after I clear my throat. Tina looks at me skeptically, but also with concen and I know I won't be able to keep this from her for long. "If you say so Blondie. Anyways your girl is looking for you," Mercedes tells me before turning around and sauntering back into the house. Tina just gives me a meaningful look before following me back into the house. That's one of the main reasons I loved Tina. She knows when to push and when not to.
I release the breath I didn't know I was holding and feel like a weight's been lifted from my shoulders as soon as I walk back into the house and see Rach standing in the kitchen talking to Puck. I walk up to her and wrap her up in a tight embrace from behind, burying my face into the back of her head. She tries turn around but I just hold her in place. She relaxes against me for a few seconds before trying to turn around again. "Hola bonita," she greets me with her megawatt grin. I smile back weakly. "Hey. Are you ok?" she questions quietly, her grin falling from her face to quickly be replaced by concern. "Can we go? I really just want to be cuddled next to you right now," I ask her timidly, anxiously scanning the room for that guy. "Quinn seriously. What's wrong?" she questions again. "Please Rae? I'll explain later I promise," I plead, wanting to put as much distance between myself and this party as possible.
Rachel just looks at me with a mixture of confusion and concern before nodding and taking my hand firmly, beginning to pull me from the house. I'm on edge the entire walk back to Rachel's bike. So much so that Rachel pulls me into her side tightly and kisses my cheek, holding me as we walk and giving me a reassuring smile. I can tell she's starting to get really worried so I smile back lovingly, which is easy because I love this girl more then words can ever describe. It's not until we're halfway back to Rachel's that I finally relax and loosen my hold around her waist. I bury my head as much as the helmet will allow into her back and close my eyes, enjoying the rest of the ride home.
RACHEL'S POV
I'm lost in my own thoughts the entire drive home, all of them revolving around the beauty behind me. I feel her finally relax and bury her head into my back halfway home and that starts another furious round of thoughts. Why was she so...shaken? What happened in the 30 minutes we were apart to make my normally strong and independent fiancee so diminutive? All I know is some ass is most definitely going to be kicked.
I pull my bike into the garage and cut the engine, quickly hopping off and pulling Quinn into a gentle kiss. She leans her face more fully into the palm of my hand as I pull away and caress her cheek gently with my thumb. "What happened mi amor?" I ask quietly, staring into tired and sad hazel eyes. "I'll tell you upstairs," she answers resigned. She grabs my hand and interlaces our fingers tightly, pulling me into the house and straight for the stairs. Our parents went out to celebrate our win as well so we had the entire house to ourselves, which would've been heaven if there wasn't something wrong with my love. Once we make it to my room Quinn tries to head for my dresser, not looking in my direction.
I grab her hand and stop her, pulling her back to me gently and embracing her tightly, and as I let go I pull her in for another kiss. I try and put all of my love and devotion into it. Try to let her know I'm here for her no matter what. I don't know what's bothering her but I know it's not pleasant. I quickly shed my clothes and then reach behind Quinn, quickly ridding her of her dress as well. Then I pull her to my bed and push her softly down onto it. I hurriedly climb in behind her and press myself as closely to her as possible. I then wrap her tightly in my arms and place my head on her shoulder, quietly waiting. "That guy cornered me at the party. He pulled me outside and I was so scared Rae," Quinn whispered quietly. So quiet I almost didn't hear.
It took me a moment to comprehend her sentence and then I saw red. I already knew to whom she was referring too when she said 'that guy', and I was 100% correct when I thought someone was getting their ass kicked. "I will never let any harm come to you Bonita. As long as there is breath in my lungs and a beat to my heart I will always protect you my love," I whisper in her ear, placing soft kisses in my wake. She moans softly before turning to face me, worry still clear in those gorgeous hazel orbs. "I'm not just worried about me Rachel," she growls out in between clenched teeth and I shrink back sligthly. "He's dangerous. Look what he did to you last time!"
"Hey!" I exclaim in protest. "It was 5 on 1. Not the most favorably odds babe," I snap. Quinn just continues to glare at me before tearing up and I start to panic. It kills me to see her cry, always has. "Look baby I know you're worried but I can take care of myself. I promise."
"And of he decides to jump you again? Or worse, he goes even more psycho and pulls out a knife or gun?" she demands. I cringe and try to think quickly, because she has a vaild point. "Then I'm going to pray that God protects me and keeps me safe," I say with a small smile and shrug. She just stares at me llike she wants to say something but can't find the words to say. Finally she just give a curt nod and buries her face into my chest, throwing her arm and leg around me and clinging tightly. "I love you Rae," she mumbles before I hear her breathing even out and her light snoring. I simply hold her tighter before kissing the top of her head and staring at the ceiling, wondering why; as Kurt so obviously pointed out, I always seemed to attract trouble.
