Disclaimer: I don't own Twilight, but just imagine how gaytastic it would be if I did. I swear there would be rainbows all over the place.
A/N: It's finally time for the wedding! I put a lot of work into this wedding and I want to thank my awesome beta, Amber, she's been putting up with my constant back and forth when it came to my last chapter, this chapter, and my next chapter. She's also been amazing with trying to help me with ideas to try and make me less crazy.
Bella's P.O.V.
"Oh Bella you look absolutely beautiful!" Alice gushes in excitement as she finally puts the finishing touches on my makeup.
"You know for a vampire with super speed it sure took you forever to do my makeup." I chuckle softly as her only response is to stick her tongue out at me like a child.
"Well I had to kill time somehow while the finishing touches were put on the venue and give Charlie a chance to get here." Alice says with a dreamy smile as takes a seat on the bed.
I nod silently as I think about what she said. "Oh my god! I don't have a ring for Tanya! What am I going to do? Who's going to marry us? I gay marriage even legal in Washington?" I say as I stand up and start pacing thankful I hadn't put on my heals yet.
"I was waiting for this to happen." I hear Alice mumble from the bed. "Bella, please calm down. We have rings, Eleazar will be officiating, and technically no but it is legal in the vampire world." Alice says quickly as she realizes that I'm starting to hyperventilate.
"Okay, okay that's good." I say as I try to take deep breaths to calm down. In the background I can hear a soft knock on the door but I decide to ignore it for now.
"Bella, there's somebody here who would like to talk to you before we start." Alice says and so quickly look up to see Charlie.
"You look breathtaking Bella. I was afraid I wouldn't live long enough to actually ever see you in a wedding dress." He says with a soft laugh as he walks into the room and Alice leaves.
"It is a bit surreal isn't it? I mean who thought I would actually want to get married someday." I say as I feel my breathing finally return to normal.
"I had faith that if you one day met the right person you would get married. I'm just happy you did it while I'm still alive to walk you down the aisle." I walk over and pull him into a gentle hug. For the first time ever it doesn't feel awkward it feels natural.
"I'm so glad you could make it on such short notice." I say softly trying not to break the atmosphere of the hug.
"I wouldn't miss this day for the world, but why is it such short notice?" Charlie asks as he gradually pulls out of the hug with a faint blush.
"I thought about everything Tanya and I have gone through since she showed up that day in the woods. I realized that I couldn't wait any longer to have her as mine in every way possible." I say with a blush of my own.
"Are you sure you don't want to invite your mother? I'm sure she would be on her best behavior." Charlie says but I can still hear the uncertainty in his words.
"When Tanya and I can to the house that day everything spiraled out of hand really fast and she basically said that everything is either your fault or my fault. She keeps trying to play the victim, and I really don't have time for that today." I say with a simple shrug as I walk back over and start sliding in my shoes.
"Well it's your day and that's your decision Bella. I just don't want you two to be mad at each other forever." He sighs as he watches me with a faint smile.
"Maybe one day if she's actually willing to sit down and talk to me like I'm an actual adult we will. Her time of being my mother is over and trying to talk over me has ended." I frown as I think about the disaster of a phone call I had with Renee.
"I'm sorry Renee still doesn't know how to accept responsibility, but she is still your mother at the end of the day." Charlie says trying to reason with me.
"I've known Carmen for 6 months now and in the short amount of time she's been more of a mother to me than Renee's been in 18 years. I've thought about this dad, and I think it's best if she isn't here today." I say with a simple shrug. Nothing he says is going to make me change my mind about this.
"At the end of the day it's your decision Bella. I just don't want you to have any regrets." Charlie says with an awkward smile.
Our conversation is cut short by a gentle knock on my bedroom door. "Come in," I say softly as I stand up straightening my dress.
"Bella dear, it's time. Are you ready?" Carmen says as she walks in closing the door behind her.
"As ready as I'll ever be. How is Tanya? Is she ready?" I say feeling the nerve starting to creep back in.
"Bella please try to stay calm. There's absolutely nothing to be nervous about. Tanya is beyond excited. She's actually around outside waiting for you." Carmen says with a happy motherly smile.
"Well I wouldn't want to keep my future wife waiting any longer. How do I look?" I ask as I start fidgeting with me dress.
"You look absolutely stunning Bella. You just might make Tanya faint." Carmen says with a playful wink as she opens the door and waits for Charlie and I.
"Are you ready Bella?" Charlie asks as he holds his arm out for me to grab.
"As ready as I'll ever be." I say smile as I grab onto his arm and start heading downstairs. I feel my heart start to speed up as we reached the bottom of the stairs.
Charlie and I continue to follow Carmen until we reach the backdoor. "Bella sweetheart just take a few deep breaths. You'll do fantastic." Carmen says with reassurance as she hands me a bucay of fire and ice roses before she exits out the backdoor, but leaves it open for Charlie and I.
As Carmen exits I hear the classic wedding march being. "Are you sure you want to do this? We could always go home and order a pizza while you pretend to watch sports with me." I can see that he's clearly kidding which surprisingly helps me feel better.
"As appealing as that sounds I would much rather marry the love of my life." I say feeling my heart finally begin to calm down.
"Alright then let's go get you married." I grab onto his arm tighter as we start making our way outside. I don't even get a chance to appreciate all the hard work Alice and the others put in before my eyes catch Tanya. She looks absolutely amazing in her suit.
"Your girl sure knows how to clean up nice." I can't even find the words to agree as my eyes remain focused solely on Tanya.
In a few short minutes we're standing at the alter. I feel Charlie kiss my cheek as he get takes my hand off his arm. "Good luck," he whispers in my ear as Tanya steps up to take his place.
"Hello angel, you look absolutely gorgeous." Tanya says softly as she gently kisses the back of my hand making me swoon slightly.
"You look pretty fantastic yourself love." I whisper trying to get my bearings. I refuse to embarrass myself at my own wedding.
With one last smile we turn to face Eleazar who also has on a rather expensive looking suit. "Dearly beloved we are gathered here today to join these two beautiful women in holy matrimony."
I squeeze Tanya's hand in a silent 'I love you' and the reality of everything hits me. I feel like I'm going to be one of those brides who crazy at their wedding because as I stand here I realize that this is all I've ever wanted since the day I met Tanya Denali.
"Even though these two haven't know each other long I can tell just by looking at them that they have one of the strongest bonds I have ever seen. These two were truly made for each other in every single way, and I am so proud to call them family. I was told that they came up with their own vows. Tanya would you like to begin?" Wait what?! We were supposed to come up with our own vows? Why did nobody tell me this?
"Actually Eleazar only I prepared vows for today. I didn't want to use any generic vows because they wouldn't be able to accurately describe how I feel." Tanya says with a faint smile as she turns to face me fully. I quickly hand Alice my bucay so I can take both of Tanya's hands in my own.
"Our journey started the day Alice called me telling me to haul ass to Forks, and for that I will be eternally grateful. Isabella Marie Swan, the day I met you in the woods was one of the happiest days of my entire existence because that was the day you became my angel. Even though you were crying and soaking wet from head to toe you were still the most beautiful creature I had ever laid eyes on. From that day you've only become more beautiful and the more I learned about you like how you talk in you sleep or how you're a sucker for a good story even if it's not real." A few of us chuckle softly as we realize that Tanya is referring to the breakfast story Carmen made up just for me.
"We've been through alot in our time together, but I can honestly say without a doubt that I would happily go through it all over again if I had too. You've done so much for me, and I don't even think you realize how much. You've taught me how to truly love myself for me." I sniffle softly as I feel tears beginning to well up in my eyes. I knew I was going to cry dammit.
"The day you asked me to marry you was another happiest day of my life. I'm not going to lie I was kind of upset that you beat me to the punch, but that's the best part of our relationship. You never cease to stop surprising me, and continue to find ways to keep me on my toes. Before you my life was empty and held no real purpose, but now that I have you I know that my purpose is to find new ways to make you smile every single day. My purpose is to find new ways to show you that I love you every single day. My purpose is to show you that you are not alone anymore every single day. My purpose is to be your hostage every night as you fall asleep in my arms. My purpose is to be your best friend and other half until death do us part." I don't even realize I'm crying until Tanya gently lets go of my hands so she can wipe away the tries streaking down my face.
"That was beautiful Tanya. Now Bella if you will…." I had to cut Eleazar off because I don't want to use generic vows eithe.
"I'm sorry Eleazar, but I can't be using generic vows either especially not after that." I say softly as I place my hands over Tanya's.
"Then by all means Bella please feel free." I can hear the smile in Eleazar's voice. This wedding is way more intense than I thought it would be.
"Forgive me if my vows aren't as perfect as yours." I say with a watery chuckle as I gently take Tanya's hands back in my own.
"The day Edward left me in the woods alone all those months ago.I thought it was going to be the day my life ended, but then you appeared in all of your charming glory. You were beautiful, frustrating, annoying, way too flirtatious, but I can honestly say that's when I started falling for you. Since that day I've only fallen more and more." I watch as Tanya's eyes begin to gloss over with tears that would never fall.
"I know I had some bad days where you could have easily just given up on me, but you didn't. You were there for me pretty much every single day waiting for me to get home from school so you could help me with my homework or just be there for me. You gave me a family after mine left me behind minus a few. You easily became my best friend, but over time that wasn't enough for me anymore. I do apologize for beating you to every milestone in our relationship, but you were a little slow my love." At that Tanya and a few others laugh because they know it's true.
"I wish I could stand here and promise you the moon and all the stars, I'm good but I don't think I'm that good. What I can promise you is me. My time, my patience, my devotion, my bad days along with my good, my heart. You've done so must for me in the short time that we've known each other. You've shown me that life is worth living as long as you have family by your side. All this time I've been your angel, but you've been my saving grace." I whisper the end as the impossible happens. I watch as blood red tears streak down Tanya's face.
I reach up slowly to wipe away her tears as I continue to stare at her in amazement. I never knew crying could look so painfully beautiful.
I'm so focused on Tanya that I don't even register that Eleazar is talking to me. "I'm sorry what did you say?" I ask as I continue to look at Tanya.
"I said do you Isabella Marie Swan take Tanya to have and to hold, in sickness and in health til death do you part?" I answered this question so quickly I kind of surprised myself.
"I do," I whisper as a beautiful smile graces my love's face as I gently wipe away the last of her tears. I gently grab the ring Alice is offering me and slide it onto Tanya's finger. Of course it's a perfect fit and absolutely beautiful.
"Do you Tatiana Veronika Denali take Bella to have and to hold, in sickness and in health til death do you part?" I smile as I watch Tanya nodding her head enthusiastically.
"I think you're supposed to say it out loud my love." I chuckle as she looks at me like an excited 5 year old.
"I do, I do, I do, I do, I do," Tanya says with just as much enthusiasm as she had while nodding her head. She quickly grabs the ring Irina offers her and gently slides it onto my finger.
"With the power vested in me I now pronounce you wife and wife. You may kiss the bride." Eleazar says looking at Tanya.
WIthout missing a beat Tanya pulls me into the most time stopping kiss I've ever experienced. I couldn't even begin to tell you how long it lasted, but I can tell you that I never wanted it to end. As she pulls away I can finally hear the cheering and applause taking place around us. I've never been as happy as I am right now, but of course my happiness has to be interrupted somehow.
"What a beautiful wedding…."
