Our fam is back, everyone! Last night's episode was so good and I really loved the ending with that odd little proposal, fun to see Normero back in business as well as the motel. Also, I don't write Dylemma but I think they are so cute together & can't wait to see where that relationship goes. Shoutout to all you Dylemma shippers out there, I know you guys put a shit ton of time into your fics and they all come out really good. Anyway, this is just a short little chapter to celebrate last night. Enjoy and keep your heads up, guys. I have something cool coming. Once the newlyweds were back to normal routine and settled at home, Norma started coughing. She was upset because she and Alex were supposed to go on their honeymoon later in the week as it took them some planning. Again, much like their ceremony, it wasn't going to be anything special, just a few nights at a bed and breakfast. It was still going to be a lovely getaway but now she felt something coming on.

All she was doing was lying in bed that day and Alex started to show some seriously wonderful signs of being a new husband. He took the day off of work to help her around the house, cooking and cleaning wise. Now he was lying in bed with her.

"So, you think this is something run of the mill or maybe some kind of bronchitis?" He asked, his voice so serious it made Norma smile though she felt like utter shit.

She leaned over to grab the tea cup, green her favorite and the type Alex was so kind to make after needing 15 minutes of instruction, "Are we switching your title to Doctor Romero now? Because I'm not sure if I like it very much."

He grinned and shook his head, "Still sharp. Sick as a dog but still extremely sharp. I am no doctor, trust me. I'm just trying to get a feel for your symptoms."

"Well," she began, stopping to blow her nose and toss the tissue in the free wastebasket besides her, the kind with lotion on them, she wasn't crazy about them but it was all the late night drug store had to offer, "I just-my throat hurts, I'm stuffy and I'm sure you can hear it in my voice, my head hurts, and I'm just really tired. Plus there's a lot of congestion."

He rose from the bed and started to walk from the room when Norma calling for him stopped his pace, "Where are you going?"

"Calling Dr. Rosewood. Best in White Pine Bay, she will see you soon and give you something great that will help you sleep and make all of your symptoms go away," he said, pulling out his phone.

She shook her head, "No, no Alex. I'm fine. I don't need a doctor. I am a tough girl and I will do this the normal way. I'm gonna fight it out."

"You're not gonna fight it out, Norma. I want you to see a doctor."

"I don't like the doctor, I'll be fine, really. I'll just sip on some tea and-"

He broke her speech with a loud sigh, "I'm not going to take no for an answer on this one, babe. I'm calling the doctor and you're gonna go either later today or early tomorrow morning."

"Your not gonna let this one go, are you?"

It was her giving up an argument tone of voice which Alex now grew to love, mostly because it meant she was starting to accept his word more, which naturally meant she was gonna start trusting her more, the thing he'd always craved from her.

"No," he said simply, walking over to her and placing a hand on her forehead. "Your hot. Not warm, your like boiling."

"Oh come on, Alex. It's normal to be hot when you're feverish. Plus, you shouldn't be touching me, you're gonna catch my cold," she laughed, swatting his hand away from her. "It's contagious."

He leaned down to look at her, "Oh yeah? Let's test out your theory.." he began, kissing her lips the way he always did.

She was quick to push him away and slap his chest lightly, "You jackass! Now, you're gonna get sick and we'll both be laid up in here."

"I'm a cop," he said simply, running a hand through his thick hair, "I have a very tough immune system."

"Yeah," she snorted, "I'm a motel owner and my immune system is jack shit."

"And you can make it better by trusting your husband when he tells you to go to the doctor when you're feeling under the weather," he said, calling the doctor and booking her the quickest appointment possible.

"Well?" She asked, a cough following the question.

"Get dressed," he answered, "I'm taking you."

She did as he asked and stood, about to change into the shabbiest outfit she could muster up, "That was pretty fast."

"Well, I am the Sheriff of White Pine. You need a doctor's appointment, a restaurant reservation, or a hell of a good parking space and I'm your man," he laughed, knowing what a douchebag he sounded like in the moment.

She laughed at that, slipping on some of the nicest sweatpants in her dresser, "Asshole."

"You love it," he said simply, pulling his hoodie from the closet and letting her wear it.

"I do."
