Flinky: Hello, it's Flinky. Sorry for the later-than-normal update. Like I've said previously, I was on a break for a couple days. I am trying to update at least weekly, so it's slightly shorter.
X: Hey guys, did you miss me?
Flinky: Nope.
Red: Not really. You don't really belong in this story.
Leaf: Ditto what Red said.
X: Haters... I'll go talk with Lucario.
"Go, Ignite!"
"Go, Rattata!"
"Battle, begin!"
"Flamethrower!"
"Endeavor!"
"Great. Drew, if you're going to use that strategy, you have to make sure Rattata didn't take damage beforehand. Otherwise the Focus Sash doesn't work."
"Wait, how come?"
"Focus Sash only will stop me from taking your Pokémon out in one hit. Since he's already injured, it won't work."
As I said, his strategy didn't work and Ignite KO'd him.
"Rattata is unable to continue. Blue corner, send out your final Pokémon."
"Go, Sandshrew!"
Drew's Sandshrew came out. This looked like his strongest Pokémon.
"Battle, begin!"
"Ignite, Metal Claw! See if you can get the stat boost!"
He nodded at me before charging into Sandshrew.
"Hit him with Magnitude!"
Sandshrew stomped his foot on the ground. My Pokédex said, "It's a Magnitude 6."
The super-effective attack hit Ignite directly and he was barely holding on.
"Ignite, return!"
The red beam sucked him up putting him inside his ball.
"Go, Glow!"
I sent out my Metapod. The stadium immediately started laughing.
"You gave me advice about my strategy, and you're using a Metapod? That's hilarious."
"Glow, would you like to prove them wrong?"
Glow looked at me with a fire in her eyes.
"Harden, then Tackle."
Glow boosted her defence. While this was happening, Sandshrew was readying a Magnitude. It was only a four, and the boost from Harden made it even less effective.
"Launch the Tackle!"
Glow took off instantly and rammed into Sandshrew. Since her body was harder, it did more damage.
"Magnitude! Keep going till he's out!"
If Storm was still conscious, I would've put him in, but nothing I can do about it now.
"Tackle!"
Normally, Sandshrew would win this fight because Magnitude is stronger then Tackle (most of the time), but the Harden at the beginning of the round meant Glow hit harder and took less damage. After ten minutes of trading off attacks, Glow was victorious.
"Sandshrew is unable to continue, meaning Glow won. Therefore, the victory goes to Red!"
As he said that, Glow started glowing (no pun intended). She was evolving! I'm not too surprised, as she went through a lot of training and her species usually evolve fast. I remember watching a comedy tv show about a trainer who once got into the top four of a tournament but in the next season lost to a level five Snivy, and that person had a Caterpie who only took two episodes to evolve. Team Rocket made the show to show why training is a bad idea (of course, it doesn't do much good for them now).
When Glow as done evolving, a Butterfree was in her place.
"Nice work. And you also learned Sleep Powder."
"Free," she said enthusiastically.
I returned her and went to look for Ethan and Silver. I found Ethan first, and Silver was fairly close.
"Alright. Silver, this is Ethan. Ethan, this is Silver."
"Why does he look so much like Gold?"
"Why do I look so much like Red?"
"Fair point."
"Now, I want you two to go through Johto and take down the towers. We used to have another group do it, but they were captured by Team Rocket."
"So you're the Silver Red told me about. Nice to meat you. I can't believe I get to be a part of Poké Underground; it's a dream come true."
"I'll let you two discuss what you're going to do."
I walked away from them and into the Pokémon Center. This time, I checked my next match and it's not until evening. I turned on the TV and saw a picture of Me, Blue, Leaf, and Michael.
"Recently, a rebel group known as Poké Underground has begun a campaign to break cities away from Team Rocket. These are the currently confirmed members. They train Pokémon and encourage others to do the same. They are currently confirmed to be in Cerulean City. President-,"
I laughed at the part where they called him the president, which was supposed to mean he was elected.
"Giovanni has gave a statement about these insurgents."
A video of Giovanni in front of a podium went onto the screen.
"These rebels are no good scum. They have their mind set on taking away the peace of Team Rocket. If they were to somehow win, chaos would erupt. People would walk from town to town for no reason, people can damage property with Pokémon, and the economy will take a huge fall…"
I really hate Giovanni. I wish I strangled him the last time we met.
"...which is why I have ordered for airstrikes of Pewter City."
I put more attention to the screen. It showed several helicopters with the Team Rocket logo above Pewter, firing at the city. Surprisingly, they weren't successful. Several Pokémon, including the Onix that belongs to Brock, have been attacking the helis and winning. I didn't see Onix hurt at all, but there were several chopters being knocked out of the sky.
"This raid in an attempt to take back Pewter has ended in a failure. Giovanni has declined to speak on this subject."
That was relieving. The new trainers were able to fight off a Team Rocket invasion. It shows how weak they are to real trainers. I went back to the battlefield, as Leaf was up. I was able to see the end of it.
"And there it is folks! Leaf used her newly evolved Umbreon to destroy the Psychic-type specialist Jaden."
Leaf called back her Umbreon and waved at me. She went back and I climbed down out of the stands to talk to her.
"Hey, nice battle out there."
"Thanks. It was a good thing Umbreon evolved though, I don't know how things would go if he didn't."
"Just wondering, do you have any idea why everyone here except for Blue had an Eevee?"
"I dunno. I saved my Umbreon from a pack of Mightyena and we've been together ever since."
"I got mine from original Red, and I'm pretty sure Michael's was his starter."
"Okay then. When's your next match?"
"Six."
"I'll be there."
"I would hope so. Do you know when Michael is up?"
"Nope. Sorry."
"I'll just check the schedule then."
We parted as I looked for who Michael was going against and when. After checking the records, I saw that he was already done and I missed it. Not surprisingly, he won. That TV report took longer than I thought.
I looked at a dusty PC in the corner of the room.
"Nurse Joy, what's that?"
She looked at what I was pointing to.
"Oh, that is a PC. It's main use was for storing Pokemon in digital boxes which can be deposited in one city and picked up in another, but since Bill discontinued the system, it hasn't been used."
"Who's Bill?"
"Bill made the system. We don't really know what happened to him, but he discontinued the system a little bit before Team Rocket took over."
"What happened to the Pokemon inside the boxes?"
"They were never heard from again. It was a tragic moment, but not as disastrous as it could be as most trainers keep their starter with them at all times."
"Okay. Where does Bill live?"
"He owns a place northeast from here. You could probably make it there and back in a day."
"I think I'll talk to him after the tournament."
"You shouldn't. His house is surrounded by guards."
"That makes it more fun."
Once I healed my Pokémon, I went over for my next match. I was facing someone named Blue, but it wasn't the one I know. He looked very similar- wait a minute. That phrase sounds familiar. I went up to my room and locked the door.
"Go, Omni!" I yelled out. I needed to talk to her. But when I sent her out, there was a note instead.
"Red, I have, as you humans say, jury duty, in a case between Arceus and Cresselia/Darkrai. Be back tomorrow."
I just stared at it. Apparently, legendaries have their own court system. Great.
As I prepared to destroy the note (I couldn't let someone I don't want to know about Omni), I heard a noise outside my room. I slowly crept up to the door, not making any noise, and opened it fast. Right outside, with their ear pressed against where the door used to be, was my next opponent, Blue.
He looked at me, then ran.
"Oh no you don't. Spark, use Nuzzle to Paralyze him!"
I sent out Spark and he ran at Blue. He performed the attack, stopping him in his tracks. I dragged him to the local Officer Jenny, and he was taken into custody.
"Thank you, young man. We have confirmed that he is Blue, a Rocket Admin. We interrogating him for anything that would be of use to you or us," said Jenny.
"Thanks, tell me if you get anything."
I left. Since I was supposed to fight Blue in the current round, I got a pass. I went to talk with the Blue I know and hate.
"Hey, I found something you may like to know."
"Like you know anything that I don't."
"And your attitude is back. What I was trying to tell you is that there is someone who's a lot like you."
"What do you mean?"
"There's another Blue in the police station who looks a lot like you."
I didn't tell him about the remakes thing yet, because I wasn't sure if that applied to him. Also, that would mean that there's another Silver and Wally. As far as I know, the only remakes that are left to find are Sapphire and Ruby. Of course, Omni is out so I can't ask her.
"Ask me what?"
'Do you always read my mind?' I thought to her (when I want to have a conversation without others knowing, I just think what I want to say and Omni picks it up).
"Yep!"
'That's a little creepy. Anyways, I found someone who looks a lot like Blue and goes by the same name. Are any of them remakes?'
"Well, it's complicated. The Blue you travel with is technically a remake, but he's so different we don't count him as one."
'What do you mean?'
"The Blue you found is very violent, abusive, and works with Team Rocket willingly. The Blue you already knew, albeit cocky and irritating, hates Team Rocket and cares for his Pokemon a little bit. We were going to remake Silver and Wally, but we didn't think it was necessary after what Celebi said."
'What did Celebi say?'
"I can't tell you or else it'll ruin the timeline."
'Well, I'm not going to forget that easily.'
"Oh, got to go. Judge Rayquaza doesn't allow us to telepathize in court."
Again, the world of legendary Pokemon never ceases to amaze me.
"I heard that!"
'Just go back to whatever you were doing.'
Once I was sure Omni was out of my mind, I decided to take a walk. Along the way, I found several people bowing down to Blue's Helix Fossil. I heard one of them yell "Praise Helix!"
"Blue, what's going on?"
"I took out my fossil to look at it, and then these weird people showed up. That's all I know."
One of the people in the crowd grabbed my arm and pulled me aside.
"If you do not know about the tail of Helix, then I shall tell you. In the beginning, there were three fossils: The one representing good, which was Helix; the one representing bad, which was Dome, and the one representing neither good or bad, but a neutral balance, which was Old Amber. They each sent their servants into the world to promote their ideals: Pidgeot,, Flareon, and Zapdos. There was the story of the prophet,- hey, where are you going?"
Some people are just idiots. I understand that that not everyone believes in Arceus, but thinking that a fossil is God? Really? I walked away and thought about what to now. When I heard an explosion near the police station, I got my answer.
I ran over there, with Blue behind me. When we got there, we saw Officer Jenny injured and in the ground.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"Blue...breaking out..."
With that, she was unconscious. I saw an ambulance driving over, so I assumed someone already called.
When I looked back at the station, I saw something surprising. A Blastoise and Charizard were rampaging, and there seemed to be two people next to them. From what Jenny said, I assumed one of them to be the other Blue, but I don't know about the others.
I took out a pistol and crept up to them. On a closer look, I noticed the other man was Red.
"Hey Blue, looks like we found a clone," said Red, pointing towards me.
"Do you wanna take him or me?" Blue asked back.
"I don't think so. Go, Ignite!"
"Fire, I'm not going to let you do such a stupid thing... alone. Go, Ivysaur!"
That voice was Leaf. Looks like she came.
"Feel free to tag me or Blue in!"
He was Michael. The whole gang's here.
"Leaf, let's do this."
"You bet!"
"Aww, some kids think they can take down the Kanto champs. Red, let's beat them into the ground."
"I couldn't agree more."
"Charmeleon!"
"Ivysaur!"
"Charizard!"
"Blastoise!"
Leaf made the first move.
"Poison Powder!"
Ivysaur spewed out a cloud of poisonous gasses.
"Please. Charizard, blow that back at them."
"Ignite, absorb it with Metal Claw, then attack Blastoise!"
If my theory is correct, blocking the move with a steel-type move will put poison on his claw, so he can put it into Blastoise. Since it's such a tank, inflicting a status on it would be vital.
"Oh, like we're going to fall for such a weak strategy."
He didn't order Blastoise to do anything, but I later found out why. The attack didn't do any damage, let alone pierce his skin.
"Damn, they're strong."
"Blastoise, Hydro Pump on the lizard!"
"Charizard, Fire Blast the plant!"
They both did the attacks, taking out both of our Pokémon in one hit.
"Well, I hoped this would be more of a battle. Charizard, burn them. We can't have scum like these roaming the streets. Then, we can take the kid's Mew."
"Idiot, if you spied on me correctly, you would know that Omni, is out in another dimension."
"Please, like we'll buy that."
"Well, if there's no getting through to you, then I think we should go."
"You're not going anywhere."
"Make me."
All I was doing was buying time so I could think of a plan. So far, it was working well because Charizard hasn't toasted me alive yet.
"Alright. Charizard, Blast Burn."
Oh shit.
"Everyone lets go!"
We all turned and started running. Charizard's Blast Burn started forming it's rings. A few more seconds and it would strike.
Michael and Blue were already out, with Leaf and I behind them. When I looked back, I realized I made a terrible mistake. I left Ignite!
The Pokéball range was too far, so I had to go in. I sprinted for him despite my friends yelling at me.
"Ignite, I got you!"
I was able to return Ignite right before the attack went off. The last thing I remember was a searing hot pain before blacking out.
Flinky: And there's another chapter. Thankfully, Red is unconscious and cannot participate in this conversation.
Leaf: You really had to take out my boyfriend?
Flinky: Leaf, like I said in the intro, I cannot write romance (at least, not yet) and so you can't really be dating him. Plus, did Red agree to this?
Leaf: Humph...
Flinky: You're starting to sound like Silver.
