Flinky: Hello world! It's Flinky with another chapter. Red is still unconscious, so now is a good time to talk about him. I did put a small hint at the end of the last chapter, and I will make it official here: There will be some aspect of romance in this fic, despite what it used to say in the intro.

Leaf: Finally.

Flinky: Don't get your hopes up. Ash was based on Red and most know how dense he is.

Leaf: So?

Flinky: That may or may not rub off on Red.

Leaf: You have got to be kidding me.

Flinky: Nope. Now, I forgot to do this in the last chapter, so I'll do it now.

I slowly woke up to see I was on a hospital bed.

"Ahh yes, Admin Red. Good to see you're awake. Giovanni wishes to talk to you."

Huh? Admin Red? Last thing I remember was being hit by the Charizard's Blast Burn.

"Right this way please."

I cautiously got up to follow him. I didn't feel any pain, so that was an upside. But why did he call me admin? Given that he said I needed to see Giovanni, I assumed I was in a Rocket building.

"He's right down this hall. He asked that you talk to him alone."

I went down the hall, but before I went in I checked my gear. All of my Pokéballs were still there. My guns are gone though, but those were the only things missing.

I finally stepped through the door to see Giovanni. Right now, I could tell fighting him was a suicide wish.

"Ahh, Red. How nice of you to join me. Tell me, how does it feel to be a part of Team Rocket?"

What? I am truly confused right now.

"Huh?"

"Always one for jokes. Come, your true admin inauguration is now."

"What?"

"I suppose I should explain it to you. The first time you were an admin, you were public. Now, since you're brainwashed, you can join the real admins. Right now, we have Lance, Red, Blue, Gold, Steven, Cynthia, and we were even able to fly out Diantha and Alder."

So I'm supposedly brainwashed. That's fun.

"Can I talk to Red first? I want to apologize to him for all the trouble."

"Sure. I'll call him in. I'll come back for you in five minutes"

Giovanni left the room to get him. In the room was a can of black paint and a rope. I was going to have fun.

"Fire, are you in here? It's Red."

I slowly crept up from behind the door and threw the rope around his neck. Normally I'm not so violent but this was a severe situation.

Red was conscious long enough to see that I painted my hair black like his.

Once he was out, I took off his jacket, backpack, and hat. I took off my stuff and replaced it with Red's gear. Then, I took all of the stuff in my bag and put it in Red's. When I was done, I looked exactly like Red.

"Sleep tight," I said.

I left the room and looked for a way out. For some reason, there was a directory, like at a mall. There were rooms, shops, restaurants, banks, brainwashing facilities, auto- brainwashing facilities! Why did that not stick out to me? Although I do want to escape, it could help to have some allies while damaging Team Rocket.

I walked up to the room, which was a pure white. There were two doorways that read "Victim" and "Visitor." I took the victim route. Since they've already tried to brainwash me at least once, and it hasn't worked, I think it's safe to assume that I'm immune to it.

Inside, I found Michael and Blue out cold on a bed, but I couldn't see Leaf. I looked around for her, when I saw that she was in another room, with scientists surrounding her.

"Spark, go! But we need to be quiet."

Spark came out and listened to my command.

"Now, knock out all the people in there except for Leaf. We can't let them raise an alarm."

He nodded and slipped through the door. I barely heard a complete sentence before seeing Spark's Thunderbolt, then there was quiet again.

I entered and called back Spark. I then proceeded to examine Leaf. She had a small device attached to her head, and it had a wire connected to a screen that read "87%"

It doesn't take a genius to figure out what the percentage was for. I ripped of the device and the screen said "error." Now I have the issue of three unconscious bodies.

As if on cue Leaf started to stir.

"Ughh...what happened?" She looked at me. "AHH-"

I had to put my hand over her mouth to stop the screaming. I wiped off a little of the paint to show it's natural brownness, and she calmed down a bit.

"What's going on?"

"Team Rocket captured us. I'm immune to brainwashing, you were in it but I stopped the process, and the other two are outside unconscious."

"Great. That explains why you're dressed like the other Red."

"Now, we have to wake up the others. Spark, I need you again!"

Spark came out, wondering why I needed him so soon.

"I have some friends who are out cold. I need you to shock them awake. Can you do it?"

"Pika!"

"Good."

I led him to Michael and Blue, and he promptly jolted them awake. Once I informed them of the situation, we started to think of a plan.

"Brute force is a definite no. They have Champions here, and the unconscious Red is a time bomb. The second someone finds out, we're screwed. But, they should have already found out. Since Giovanni said he would get me in a couple minutes…"

"We walked into a trap, didn't we?" Leaf asked.

"Yep. I would be willing to bet that someone is right outside listening to our conversation."

"SO OUR NEXT TARGET IS VIRIDIAN CITY, RIGHT?" Leaf yelled, more as a joke then to lead off the enemy.

"Now, seriously. There are people outside who are waiting for their cue. We need to find another way out."

"I'd say that's a good cue."

I turned around and saw a man with red spiky hair, a cape, and a red/black jacket was in front of us.

"I'm Lance. You're not allowed to leave."

"Make me."

"Really. Well then. Are you ready to lose?"

"Well, normally yes, given my overly-confident nature. However, in this case, I know a much better alternative to battling with you."

"And what would that be?"

"Are you ready? Drum roll please…..Stalling!"

"That won't get you anywhere."

"Well, in case you didn't notice, your Pokéballs are not where they're supposed to be."

He frantically checked his belt, but saw that they were all there.

"You are an idiot."

"No, I'm stalling."

"Alright. I'll play your game. What are you stalling for?"

"And that's their cue."

As I said that, the wall busted open revealing a Latias and Latios. Everyone was amazed, even the dragon-type master. Having legendary connections can really help out.

"Alright guys. I think we should shake it up a little. Blue, you're with me on Latias. Leaf, you're with Michael on Latios."

No one moved.

"Hurry up!"

"Right!"

Lance finally snapped out of his shock.

"Go, Dragonite!"

"Dragooonite!"

"Use Dragon Pulse on both Latis."

"Latios, show them a real Dragon Pulse."

Just to clear things up, I'm not their trainer, but they're letting me command them temporarily.

Latios' Dragon Pulse blew Dragonite's away like nothing. He was hit by the super-effective attack and was knocked out.

Before Lance could do anything, we took off. They are both VERY fast. After a couple minutes of flying and hearing someone scream non-stop (if it was Blue it would make great blackmail), we landed.

"Thanks you two. Say hi to Arceus for me."

"Tios."

"Tias."

They flew away to who-knows-where.

"Now, I bet I have some explaining to do, right?"

"Yep," Leaf said, casually.

"Okay. Where to start... How about with where Omni is?"

They just gave me a blank expression.

"Omni is at the Hall of Origin, where Arceus lives. There's a trial thing going on, and they need her on the jury. She talks to me occasionally, and I asked for some help to escape from the building. Although she has no sense of maturity or responsibility-"

"Hey!"

"She is one of the oldest Pokémon and was able to convince Latias and Latios to help us out. Speaking of Omni, here she is now."

Omni flew down from the same direction in which Latios and Latias flew away.

"Hey, how are you?"

"I should be asking the same question, given how you were caught by Team Rocket."

"Ehh, I found out I'm immune to their brainwashing."

"Can I cut in?" Blue asked, somewhat irritated. "We were captured by Team Rocket, almost brainwashed, met two new legendaries and one we already know, and you're just having a casual conversation with a Pokemon. This is not the time for your attitude!"

"Calm down Blue. Why you so angry?" I asked. Blue seemed more irritated than normal.

"DO YOU KNOW WHAT COULD'VE HAPPENED!?"

Blue took a breath.

"Sorry, that was uncalled for. But I do have a real concern. What would've happened if Red wasn't the first person they tried to brainwash. Or if he didn't get Leaf in time. There are so many things that could've gone wrong. If they capture us again, they will at least kill Red, if not all of us."

I looked at Blue. This was a new side of him. Although we don't always get along, I do want to keep him on the team. If he wants to be serious for a second, then I have no problem with it.

"Blue, why are you saying this now? Didn't you accept these risks when you joined Poké Underground?"

"It's complicated. The main reason I joined was because gramps was here. Then, he tried to turn us in to Team Rocket, and that changed things. I don't know why I kept going. If I turned myself back in, then I could go into the Admin life. It was nice while it lasted, and I could turn myself back in. Plus, Team Rocket has never done that many bad things apart from banning trainers."

"Oh, you are so wrong.," I said, struggling to keep the venom out of my voice. Hearing Blue say that made my blood boil, but, if I want him to stay with us, I have to stay calm.

"I think we all have reasons to hate Team Rocket," I began. "For me, it's that they think they're better than everyone else. I was in the lower class, and the grunts loved to mess with me. There was a certain one, who I never got the name of, who beat me, stole any money I had, and acted like nothing happened. Not only was he never punished, it was a crime for me to accuse him in the first place, let alone fight back. The reason I hate Team Rocket so much came from that belief, that even a grunt is better than a low-class civilian."

"Wow, I never knew that."

"Yea, with your grandpa, even if he disappeared, you were in the upper-class who could do whatever they wanted. Even the grunts would have to listen to you."

"That explains a lot."

"Are you feeling better now? I don't know how much longer I can stay serious."

"It was a good attempt."

"Yea Red, that was like, 50 seconds without a joke or sarcastic comment," said Leaf.

"Yea, I'm better. Thanks for that Red," Blue said, someone more friendly than normal.

"Don't you DARE get cheesy on me!" I yelled.

"I won't, yeesh."

"Now Michael, where are we?"

"We are on Route 25. If we flew at supersonic speeds for five minutes...northeast...okay. I marked the location of the building we escaped from on the map. It's west of Pallet Town."

"Route 25… That's near Bill's Lighthouse! If we go there, then we can have a PC system to use."

"Aren't you being a bit optimistic?" asked Leaf.

"Yep! I think Omni may be doing something to my mind."

Everyone looked at her.

"Hey! Don't look at me! I only read people's mind, not influence them. Most of the time."

"Nah, I'm just messing with you guys. Although, it would help to go up there to see if we can do anything about the lost Pokemon."

"That makes sense. Everyone else on board?" asked Michael.

Leaf agreed. "I'm good with it."

"It would help. I'm in," Blue said.

"Alright then."

We started walking up to the lighthouse, but along the way, we came across an Abra.

"YOU!"

We stopped to look at Blue. He was angry about something.

"That Abra attacked me back at Pewter, and I am not going to let that slide. Behold, as the great Blue Oak destroys you!"

"Aaaand Blue's ego trip is back."

"Yep."

"He had a good run."

"Go, Wartortle!"

"War Wartortle!"

"Use Bite on Abra!"

Wartortle ran in, but Abra teleported away.

"Gah!"

Blue recalled his Wartortle and we kept walking… up until we saw him again.

"You won't get away this time! Wartortle, Bite him!"

Again, Abra teleported away. This happened seven more times before Blue gave up and decided to take his chance by just throwing a ball.

"Go, Pokéball!"

Abra was sucked inside, and it started to wobble. Once...click? I'll have to look that up on Bulbapedia later.

"And another fourth wall break. You're getting good at this."

"Alright! I got Abra! Now, he can't run away!" Blue yelled, triumphantly.

"Blue, since Abra is now your Pokemon, the punishment for abuse is far greater," I explained to him.

"Damnit!"

"Well, now you have another Pokemon. Abra's can be really strong once they evolve," I said, trying to be somewhat positive.

"Yea, with four Pokémon, I can beat you for sure."

"Wait, four?"

"Err… I only have three."

I just looked at him.

"You got me."

"Well, seeing as though you're being more annoying than normal, how about a four on four battle? We can all see you're mystery Pokémon."

"You're on."

Michael stepped up and volunteered to ref.

"This is a four on four battle between Red and Blue. Both sides may substitute on their own will and the battle is over when all of one side's Pokemon are unable to battle. Trainers, please send out your Pokemon."

"Go, Ignite!"

"Starter, huh? Go, Wartortle!"

"Battle, begin!" Michael said, starting the match.

"Use Water Gun!"

"Dodge it!"

Wartortle tried to hit Ignite but completely missed.

"Our turn. Smokescreen, into Metal Claw!"

He made the Smokescreen, effectively blinding Wartortle. Since Wartortle couldn't see, Ignite scored a clean hit.

"Wartortle, use Water Gun! And don't miss!"

Wartortle used a weaker water gun but it hit Ignite, doing a good amount of damage.

"Flamethrower!"

"Why would you use a fire-type move on a water-type?"

"It's a strategy I learned called a red herring."

"And what do you do?"

"Distract the opponent so my Pokemon can charge up his or her move."

"Wait, what?"

"Ignite, finish your Dig!"

"It knows Dig?"

"Yep. I can give you the TM after the battle."

"I'm not even going to ask."

While we were talking, Ignite hit Wartortle doing a decent amount of damage.

"Wartortle, use Water Pulse. Red, you're not the only one who got a TM."

Wartortle hit Ignite, knocking him out.

"Charmeleon is unable to continue." Michael announced. "Red, please send out your next Pokémon."

"Alright. Blacklight, let's go!"

I sent out my Umbreon. I felt kinda guilty for not using him in so long, so this was how I was making it up to him.

"Battle, resume!"

"Blacklight, use Bite!"

He ran up to Wartortle preparing his attack.

"Counter that with your own Bite!"

Since Blacklight is using a move of it's own type, he overpowered Wartortle, knocking him out.

"Wartortle is unable to continue. Blue, please send out your next Pokémon."

Leaf yelled out "Nice one Red!"

"Thanks."

"Whatever. Abra, get out here!"

"Why are you using a Psychic-Type on a Dark-Type?"

"To punish him without it being illegal."

"Blue, you have to treat your Pokemon with respect, no matter what they did to you. Blacklight, make this fast with Shadow Ball."

Before Blue could respond, Blacklight knocked him out in one hit. He was careful to make it as painless as possible.

Michael said "Abra is unable to continue. Blue, please send out your next Pokemon."

"Go, Spearow!"

Blue's Spearow came onto the field.

"Battle, resume!"

"Spearow, Aerial Ace!" Blue called.

"Counter with Quick attack!"

The two crashed into each other, but Blacklight was getting the upper hand because of his momentum.

"Spearow, Mirror Move!"

Spearow's Aerial Ace dissipated and was replaced with a streak of white light. Blacklight's speed advantage was gone, and it became a battle of pure strength. Fortunately, Flying-types are generally not that strong or bulky, and my Umbreon pushed Spearow away.

"Good work," I said. "Now, use Assurance!"

I wanted to test out Blacklight's new move, and this seemed like a good time. He ran up and conjured a hand out of dark energy. That hand proceeded to smack Spearow downwards, knocking him out.

"Spearow is unable to continue. As a reminder, Red has three usable Pokemon while Blue has one."

I'm not sure if Michael was allowed to say that or if he just wanted to set Blue's attitude down a notch.

When I looked at Blacklight, I saw that he was panting, which only happened when he was very tired. His evolution turned him into the loner of the group, and he didn't show much emotion. When he did, it was important.

"Blacklight, return!"

I called him back so he could rest for a while.

"Will both sides send out their Pokémon?"

"Blue, on three."

He nodded.

"One, two, three!"

I sent out Spark and Blue sent out an unfamiliar blue Pokémon who had two antennas and yellow eyes.

Blue said "Meet my newest Pokémon, Manaphy."

Flinky: And there it is. Blue now has a legendary too.

Blue: But didn't I complain earlier in the chapter that we take this too non-seriously?

Flinky: It will be explained in the next chapter.
