Flinky: Hello world! Flinky is back. Now, a number of things to say up here. First, late update. I had some writer's block, and a campout, and a number of other things. On the plus side, this is one of my longest chapters to date. So yea.

Red: You know, the last chapter was pretty good.

Blue: It was a lot of fun.

Flinky: 3 of my four reviews agree. The other one wasn't really a review of the story (no offense though).

Flinky: Starting with Grey917, thank you. I try my best. And yes, i am coming up with the majority on the spot. Occasionally though, I have an idea that I want to include, and I let it boil up in my head until the time is right (like going to the Distortion World to pick up a fallen friend).

Flinky: Now for DisneyWriter, I like to think that having an underdog (Red) get away with doing something to a much larger force (Giovanni/Giratina) is the main source of humor in this fic.

Flinky: Then U.N. Owen. The Pokemon locater was never mentioned before, partially because there was never a need, and partially because I just made it up in that chapter (I know that sounds bad). And I know there's a good chance someone who is reading this is cringing, but I believe you mean the Pokemon/Parasyte fic, and I will say that I didn't read much of it.

Flinky: Finally, flashyhero. I have Yet to confirm or dEny your claim, aS the story still has a lot of progress to be made.

Red: Okay, really? could you make it more obvious?

Flinky: Quite frankly, there's no point in hiding it. I have never used an OC or made up something in this fic (even most of the trainers can be fond in-game, save for the grunts).

Red: Fair enough.

"Why, I'm Saturn, of Team Galactic."

"Okay. We want to know your goal, leader, and number of grunts at your disposal," I said. This was, what, the fourth team we've come across (including Team Rocket).

"You do this often?"

"You'd be surprised. Now answer the question."

"Well, our goal is a beautiful one. We seek to create a new universe, free from-"

"So you're one of those apocalyptic extremists?" I summarized.

"What? How dare you call Team Gal-"

"Blue, rock paper scissors to see who gets to shut him up?" I asked.

"Sure."

"Rock, paper, scissors, shoot."

Blue threw rock while I threw scissors.

"Ughh…" I complained.

"Growlithe, shut him up!" Blue called in a similar tone to how he sends out a pokémon before a battle.

Saturn was promptly greeted by jet of flames, burning his face. Not to a lethal point though.

"You will pay for-"

"Enough," Giratina said. "You broke in, and now you cannot leave. That is the punishment for early entrance to this realm."

"What about the kids?"

"They have saved me from the likes of you, so I can make an acception. I don't think these kids can be kept in anyways…"

"Why does everyone keep calling us kids? Blue, Leaf, and I are 16, while Michael is 15. We're fairly old."

"Irrelevant. Now, Saturn of Team Galactic, I banish you!"

Saturn started fading into a purple-black energy. Eventually, it replaced him, and there was just a purple silhouette of Saturn remaining. That too faded away into nothingness.

"Well, that is over with. Children-"

"Hey!" Omni yelled.

"I see no need to correct my statement."

"He has a point," Blue said.

"As a reward for saving me from the Pokéball, I shall allow you to leave this realm. However, do not expect the same generosity should you return."

"I don't tell you how to live your life," I said.

"You three combined are the biggest headache imaginable."

"Arceus said something like that to me, Celebi, and Jirachi when we just had some fun," Omni stated.

"I heard the news even here. You drove 11 species of Pokémon to extinction!"

"They wouldn't of lasted that long in the environment anyways…"

"Because you blackmailed Groudon to cool the world down, making it uninhabitable to those Pokémon."

"You're just making a big deal out of it. All I wanted was to speed up the invention of ice cream. Celebi told me about it."

"That is not how it worksat all."

"Umm, sorry to break up your casual discussion on the extinction of several Pokémon and it's relation to ice cream, but can we go now?"

"Oh, yea."

Giratina opened another portal, leading back to the campsite where Blue and I were at.

"We'll be off now," I said.

Blue, his Growlithe, Omni, Blacklight, and I stepped through, coming back to the campsite. The portal closed behind us, right after Giratina said a GLaDOS quote: "It's been fun. Don't come back."

We were first greeted by stares from leaf and Michael, before Leaf ran up and hugged me.

"I was worried about you. Manaphy came back with a note that said you went into the Distortion World. What happened?"

"I can't say too much, but I will tell you this: There's another team we have to deal with."

"Who is it?" Michael asked.

"Team Galactic. We don't know much about them. What we do know is that they are trying to create a new universe and went after Giratina with a Master Ball," I reported.

"Are we the only ones left who don't have a Master Ball yet?"

"I think… hope Plasma doesn't. And I'm 90% sure Aqua doesn't either."

"Sounds like fun," Michael said.

"Anyways, there's a certain city nearby. Anyone want to go for it?" I asked, jokingly.

"Of course," Leaf said.

"Okay. Now, there's supposedly a Rocket base there, correct?"

"Yea," she said.

"That is high priority. Perhaps we have two people on the tower and two on the base?"

"That may work," Michael said.

"It should divide the grunts up so it's easier to take care of," I said.

"Still, that might not be enough," Blue said. "Keep in mind, this is a major base, and they know we're here. They are preparing because they know this is our next stop. We've almost always had the element of surprise. Not this time."

"That makes sense… Let's change it up then. Send a decoy into the tower, while we sneak into the base together. Not even Red can stand up to all four of us."

"Remember Cerulean?" Blue said.

"I choose to forget that moment. Now, any other points?"

No one speaked.

"So what is the decoy you have in mind?" Michael asked.

"We paint four grunts yellow, green, blue, and red."

"That's going to be fun," Leaf said.

"Of course. Now, we have to find four grunts and dyes of different colors," I said.

Getting the dyes didn't take long. Leaf, as you would expect with her name, knew a lot about plants, and which ones had certain features. Once it was ready and loaded in water balloons (don't judge us), we set off looking for some border control grunts. They are usually by themselves, and take short shifts, so their perfect targets.

Two were sleeping, so it was fairly easy to dye them. I even made one of their hats look like mine. The other two were a bit more tricky, but they had colored clothes and didn't notice. Yet.

Now, we wait for their shift to end. With the average intelligence of a grunt, they'll either arrest or shoot our decoys. We just have to wait for the chaos to begin.

Shortly, we heard two gunshots from the same direction. Now was the time to go!

I kept low and walked around town. We didn't know where this hideout is, but according to Leaf, it's supposed to be near the Game Corner. We went that direction, and saw… nothing. Just a casino where minors are allowed to gamble. Thanks Team Rocket.

Out of ideas, we entered the building.

Inside had no windows, old men with a gambling problem, and 12-year olds with a gambling problem. There was also a sole Rocket Grunt. That is where we start.

"Hey, kids. If you want a coin case-"

"Shut up. All four of us have trained Pokémon, and will not hesitate to attack you," I explained. "Now, you seem to be in front of this poster. Does it mean anything?"

The grunt looked terrified.

"Uh, no, why would you ask?"

"If there is nothing there, would it be an issue if I looked at it?"

"Uhh, yea!"

"How come, if there is nothing there?"

"Well… Uhh… You see... my boss said so. Yea. Giovanni himself."

"Giovanni doesn't order grunts. He orders executives and admins, who tell you what to do."

"Well… Fine. You're probably going to beat me anyways. I never wanted to be a grunt in the first place."

We gave him a skeptical look.

"No, really! I joked around about being stupid, and I think they thought that was my personality when I entered the facility."

"That would make sense, but we can't really trust you," Leaf said.

"Well there is a way to find out. But you cannot know it," I said, indicating to the grunt.

"Fine… Whatever. Just tell Erika you knocked me out, and I won't even challenge you."

"Deal," I said. Its not like I hate lying to Rockets anyways. Plus, this is the type of behavior I would rather see, where they just give up. On a side note, we found out the name of the executive in this city.

I examined the poster, until I felt something. On closer examination, it was a switch. I flipped it, and a staircase in the corner of the Casino appeared, yet no one noticed. At all.

We all went through (except for the grunt, for obvious reasons), and the first thing I noticed was several grunts, all ready for battle. Before they could even react, we smacked the balls out of their hands. Then, we sent out our Psychic-types or Pokémon who can use telekinesis. By telekinesis, I mean the ability, not the move. By ability, I mean something that someone can do, not like Ignite's Blaze.

That was a mouthful. Anyways, the Grunt's Pokémon were scattered and the grunts themselves unconscious. An alarm started blaring. Great.

This time, instead of grunts showing up, an elevator was coming up. I wonder who's in it- oh, shit.

"Fire Red. Blue Oak. Leaf Green. Michael Ray. What a surprise."

Gold, in all of his Team Rocket glory, exited the elevator.

"Michael, you took my girl away from me. How should I make you pay…"

"Gold!" I called. "You know that you can't take that approach with me around. I don't let things get that dark, so let's lighten it up. You are going to battle me, and like it."

"Please. You are weak. Do you know who was the only person to ever defeat Red? Me. You stand no chance."

"I don't believe it," I said. "Red is far more powerful than you."

"Come on. Must I spell it-"

"The battle is on your Vs. Recorder," I said, pointing to the device sticking out of his bag. "If you ever beat Red, you would save the battle on it. Show it to us."

"Well, I've had far-"

"He's lying," Leaf said.

"Well… so what? I'm still one of the strongest trainers around."

"Let's test that then. I challenge you to a battle," I said.

"Fine then. 6 on 6. A full, official battle. Michael can ref. There are no other guards coming up."

"Your on. First though, I have to exchange something."

I looked in my bag for the device I was looking for. It's a tablet that can access my PC if there's an internet connection. Bill sent it over to me while we were still in Lavender.

Thankfully, I had a good connection, so I was able to exchange Omni for Spark.

"You done over there?" Gold asked, irritated.

"Yea, just about."

"Hurry up."

"I'm ready."

"Okay then," Michael said. "This is a 6 on 6 battle between Fire Red and Gold Hikari."

"Weird name," I mumbled.

"Hey!"

"Whatever. Let's start this."

"Both trainers will release their Pokémon at the same time."

"You better do it, Ariados!" Gold called.

"Go, Storm!" I yelled.

"Battle, begin!"

"Start off with a Wing Attack!" I yelled.

Storm closed in the distance with a glowing wing, but Gold didn't say anything.

Right at the last moment, he yelled "Sucker Punch!"

It hit Storm before he could react, knocking him down.

"Psychic, now," Gold said, calmly.

"Storm, fly away!"

Ariados' attack was travelling. This is starting to give me deja vu. Except this time, my Pokémon flew out of the way right before the Psychic arrived.

"Hmm, perhaps I underestimated you. Never the less, you must go down. Scary Face!"

"How about no. Storm, doge, then Gust!"

Storm evaded the attack, and hit Ariados with the super-effective attack. Gust isn't that strong though…

"Poison Sting! Make sure you poison it!" Gold commanded.

"Storm, keep dodging and try to land a Wing Attack!"

Ariados turned into a machine gun, firing off small stingers rapidly. He also had the downside of (most) machine guns, in that he couldn't move because of his fire rate (this sounds so much like the military).

Storm, being incredibly agile, dodged most of the attacks. A couple pieces did hit, but didn't poison or do much damage. The, Storm flew in again, and nailed Ariados. It looked like a critical hit.

Ariados was heavily damaged.

"Hm. I guess you would be fairly strong. Then again, what fun is it without a challenge?" Gold said.

"Then lets finish this challenge. Storm, use Gust to knock Ariados out!"

"Otto!" my Pokémon yelled. He fired the attack, knocking out Gold's Pokémon.

"Will Gold please send out another Pokémon?" Michael said.

"Of course. Xatu, don't fail me like your friend did."

Gold sent out a Xatu. So this is going to be an aerial battle… underground. Great. At least the ceiling is fairly high.

"Storm, Gust!"

"Dodge it, then use Psychic."

Xatu got out of the way, but missed his attack.

"Storm, use Wing Attack!"

"You know that you have to change your strategy every once in a while," said Gold. "Air Slash."

Xatu sent spinning blades at storm, who couldn't dodge due to the momentum of the Wing Attack. He was hit and went down.

"Storm is unable to continue," Michael said. "Red, please send out your next Pokémon."

Well, I guess this is a good time to use type-advantage.

"Go, Spark!"

I sent out my Pikachu. He noticed where we were, then got into a battle stance.

"I heard of that one," Gold said."He was supposed to be unbeatable, but he can't take a hit. I'm not surprised that you have him."

"Well, let's see how strong he really is. Spark, use Thunderbolt!"

"Use Psychic to send it right back."

"Good luck."

Spark's Thunderbolt went to fast for Xatu to counter, and nailed him. Xatu went down immediately.

"WHAT! HOW! THAT THING IS WORTHLESS!"

"Not yet," I said to Spark as he was readying a Thunderbolt to hit Gold.

"Hm, perhaps we underestimated it," Gold said, regaining his composure. "Too late to do anything about it now though."

"Will Gold please send out his next Pokémon?" Michael asked.

"Of course. Houndoom, crush the rodent!"

Gold sent out his Houndoom.

"Great. Spark, let's do it!"

Spark gave me a nod as he turned to the battle.

"Houndoom, Flamethrower!"

"Dodge it with Quick Attack, then hit Houndoom!"

The action was carried out, but Quick Attack didn't do as much damage as I would have liked.

"Please. Don't fool yourself. You can't win this. Houndoom, Faint Attack!"

Shit. Spark can't dodge it. You know, maybe having him set up a shield around himself...

"Spark, take a Thunderbol-"

"Red, you really are out of ideas if you're going to use a counter-shield," Gold said.

"Dafuq is that? Spark, Thunderbolt yourself!"

Electricity started going through Spark. It did a small amount of damage to him, but when Houndoom made contact, it electrocuted him. Unfortunately, the attack still hit, knocking both Pokémon out.

"You are full of surprises aren't you?" Gold commented. "But I'm done playing around."

"Will both sides send out their next Pokémon?" Michael asked.

"Of course. Scizor, let's show them what happens when you mess with Team Rocket!" Gold said, sending out a Scizor.

Ignite would be overkill (plus I'd rather save him for the end), Blade would just be suicide, Shadow probably won't obey me, so that leaves…

"Blacklight, go!"

"Battle, resume!"

"Scizor, use X-Scissor!"

"Dodge it, then Bite!"

"That won't do you anything."

X-Scissor missed, but Bite didn't do much damage either.

"Try Shadow Ball!"

"Take it Scizor, then Iron Head!"

Shadow ball didn't do much, and Iron Head was dodged. This is going to be a long battle.

There was a long sequence of low-damage attacks from Blacklight, and missed attacks by Scizor. Gold was getting frustrated.

"JUST HIT HIM! IT'S NOT THAT HARD!"

Unfortunately, Blacklight couldn't dodge forever, and was taken down by a well-timed X-Scissor.

"Well, now we're even," Gold said.

That was a bluff. Scizor was exhausted from being hit by Blacklight's attacks.

"Blade, go!"

My Scyther came out of his Pokéball, ready for battle.

"Do you really think that the unevol-"

"Wing Attack," I ordered. The blow knocked Scissor out. Gold now has two more, while I have three. Then again, he hasn't used his Feraligatr yet, and that that thing is scary. Not to mention, I don't have any more type-advantages against it.

"Okay, I take the blame for that one," Gold said. "But now, I will take you down. Feraligatr, go!"

Gold's Feraligatr entered. Normally though, you save your ace for the end, unless this isn't… shit.

"Feraligatr, Hydro Pump."

Gold's Pokémon fired a strong attack at Blade, but I was still thinking about his potential ace. By the time I realized he started, it was too late. Blade dodged most of the attack on his own, but a small bit hit his right wing.

I think this was the first time that my ADD got in the way of a battle- my commentary isn't helping.

I took a deep breath, and focused on the battle.

"Blade, Bug Buzz!"

Blade launched the attack at Feraligatr. It did a considerable amount of damage, but not near enough to knock out Gold's Pokémon.

"Ice Fang," Gold ordered cooly (ba dum tss).

Despite my pun, I was in trouble. A tank was going to hit my Pokémon with a super-effective attack.

"X-scissor! Then get out of the way!" I yelled. My best bet to escape was to use Blade's speed, but might as well use his strongest attack while I'm at it.

X-scissor hit, and Ice Fang barely missed. I could see some frost of the tips of Blade's wings. So much for flight.

"Now, Hydro Pump! Full force!" Gold yelled.

"Dodge-" wait, he can't move that fast.

"Nevermind. Counter it with Bug Buzz!" I commanded.

The attacks met, causing an explosion. When the dust settled, Blade was knocked out, and Feraligatr was heavily injured.

"Scyther is unab-" As Michael was saying that, Feraligatr collapsed.

"Both Pokémon are down. This is Gold's last Pokémon," Michael said.

"Well Red, you fought hard, but it's all Kyogre now. You cannot win this."

"You never know. Ignite, let's do it!"

I sent out my starter, Ignite the Charmeleon.

"Come on. Articuno, destroy them."

I didn't believe it until I saw it. A fucking Articuno. In Team Rocket's control.

Ignite was a bit unnerved.

"Ignite, I think we can do it. Blacklight, when he was an Eevee, sorta took down Omni. You are much stronger now than he was. I believe you can do it."

He looked at me, then did his half-smirk. We're in this and were going to win!

"Articuno, Ice Beam!"

"Melt it Ignite!"

Ignite's Flamethrower met Articuno's Ice Beam. Ice Beam was definitely stronger but Ignite had a type-advantage. I don't know how this will turn out.

Both Pokémon were pushing, but Ignite was straining to keep the flames at the same amount.

"This is getting us nowhere," Gold said. "Stop the Ice Beam and switch to Hurricane!"

Because the Ice Beam stopped, Ignite nailed Articuno with a Flamethrower, but the Hurricane was coming.

"Dodge Ignite!"

He ran for a while, weakening the power of the hurricane, but still got hit. He was still up though.

"Ugh. One more time," Gold said casually.

I remember something about heat relating to wind but I don't know how… ah screw it. I'll try anyway.

"Ignite, Flamethrower on one part of the ground!"

"Now you've lost it," Gold said.

Ignite still used Flamethrower when he wasn't running. He was getting tired, but If my idea worked, most of Articuno's attacks would stop working.

My battle plan was proved true when I started feeling a breeze from behind me, underground. Eventually, Articuno's Hurricane's dissapated before they even got to Ignite.

"Wait, what's happening?"

Leaf stepped up. "The superheated area in the floor is decreasing the density in that specific location, causing the air around it to want to balance it out, making a breeze, which is interfering with the path of the Hurricane."

Everyone in the room looked at her.

"I've been near Michael too long," she explained. That makes sense.

Back to the battle, Ignite was now able to land attacks. Gold only ordered for Ice Beams though, yet I'm sure that it knows four moves, not just two. No matter what reason, it was helping me, as Ignite was dealing good damage to Articuno.

Gold noticed that Articuno was burned, and sighed. "I was hoping that I wouldn't have to do this, but there's no other way. Mind Reader!"

Mind Reader… it makes it so that the next attack never misses. But why would he need that? But can't Articunos learn Sheer… NO!

"Ignite, return!" I yelled, fumbling for his ball. Mind Reader arrived though. Why does this circumstance keep happening to me? Sheer Cold was flying as I pressed the button on the Pokéball. The attack, unfortunately, hit, knocking Ignite out. I did see a white flash before he was returned.

"Well Red? Looks like I win. You battled hard."

"It's not over yet," I said.

"Who could you even use? The butterfly or fox that hates you?"

"Neither," I said. "I think Lugia would work pretty well."

I sent out the Pokéball, begging that this would work. Thankfully, it did. A Lugia was flying in front of me.

"When...No, it can't be...I took every precaution to destroy you...no…"

"Do you want to keep going?" I asked.

"Of course! I would be a disgrace if I didn't! Articuno, Mind Reader!"

"Lugia, Night Slash!"

Now, if my friends was paying enough attention, they would know that I don't have a Lugia, but a recently turned semi-obedient Zoroark.

"Wha...No…"

Mind Reader arrived, but Articuno was hit by a Night Slash, severely damaging it. I love critical hits.

"Ugh...Sheer Cold!"

"Night Daze!"

It just clicked with Gold.

"Why you little bastard…"

Seeing as the effect was over, Shadow revealed his illusion, while firing his Night Daze.

Night Daze hit Articuno, knocking it out. However, half of the Sheer Cold arrived too, knocking Shadow out (supposedly).

"Both sides are unable to-"

"Not so fast," I said. Shadow revealed himself in the middle of the battlefield, while his unconscious body faded away. Gold was pissed.

"WHAT! I CAN'T BELIEVE I Lost…"

I hi-fived Shadow, then the others.

"Red, since when was Shadow obedient?" Leaf asked.

"Shadow likes a challenge. Using him against a legendary is one of the best circumstances I can use him in."

"But why not use Glow, who will always listen?" Michael asked.

"Shadow is one of my strongest Pokémon. He's about tied with Ignite."

"Nice," Blue said.

"Now, let's go deal with Gold."

We went over to Gold, who was starting to recover from the shock.

"Red, you… you helped me. And saved me. But… you don't know what I've done…"

"Well, you can tell us," I suggested.

"Of...course. I think I used something called a Rocket ball."

"Explain," I said, simply.

"It's guaranteed to work on sleeping or unconscious Pokémon. It makes the Pokémon completely loyal to the person who threw it… that's how I caught Articuno…"

"Great. Well, that just means we have to work harder."

"I'm...I'm going to go now. I, I don't think I can face you guys anymore… after the things I did..."

"Gold!" Leaf yelled. "Don't you dare think like that. Sure, you've helped Team Rocket for a stunning four months, but think about what you did do! Remember when we took down an entire boat of supplies with just you, me, and Wes? Or the armory, which was built on your idea! Not to mention, you were the one who found and recruited Fire Red! That may of helped a tiny bit!"

"I guess… if you really want me back…"

"Hell yes," I said. "Of course, you'll have to release Articuno…"

"I know, I would just rather do it in a location where I can run away if I need to."

"Alright then. So, what do you want to do?" I asked.

"What?"

"I think you should get the choice. Silver, Ethan and Lyra are in Johto; May, Brendan, Wally, and Wes are in Hoenn; Dawn, Lucas, and Barry are in Sinnoh; and we're here in Kanto. You can choose where to go. or you can do whatever you want."

"Actually, I think I would be better off recruiting," Gold said.

"How come?" Leaf asked.

"Well, all of you guys seem to work pretty well on your own. Also, you're not going to find others in Kanto all the time. Look up the Unovan Strike Force when you get out of this place."

"Will do. Can I have your key card so we can look around?"

Gold froze. "I forgot…"

"What?" Blue asked.

"Red is in this building."

Flinky: There it is. Full 6 on 6 battle with Gold. Still have some writer's block, so updates may be irregular. Just keep that in mind. With that, Flinky, signing off.
