Flinky: Hello world! I'm back with an extended chapter (I think this is my longest to-date), after another break.
Red: Didn't you say last time-
Flinky: Let's not look to the past.
Red: You were doing so good for a week or two.
Flinky: Let's just get onto reviews.
Flinky: Only one from OverlordMiles. I considered having Red not recognize Riley immediately, but I didn't think that fit in well with the rest of the story. There are very few clichés, and when there are, the characters note them and make fun of them. Having something like that would break that theme.
Red: But, you made an even greater mistake. YOU CALLED ME ASH!
Flinky: You guys are kinda similar though.
Red: What do you mean?
Flinky: Let's see... there is Pikachu, Charizard, Butterfree (which you are not going to be releasing anytime soon), and Pidgeotto. There is also the last name, Ketchum, which was partly my fault.
Red: But-
Flinky: The chapter is already late, so I'm just going to cut off our argument for now.
Red's Pokemon (On Hand):
Ignite (Charizard)
Moves: Flamethrower, Smoke Screen, Dig, Wing Attack
Omni (Mew)
Moves: Every one except Judgement
Driver (Sandslash)
Moves: Dig, Magnitude, Swift, Earthquake
Spark (Pikachu)
Moves: Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Nuzzle, Discharge
Azure (Lapras)
Moves: Ice Beam, Surf, Perish Song, Sing
Rift (Lucario)
Moves: Thunder Punch, Close Combat, Dragon Pulse, Aura Sphere
Well, time to go to Vermilion. We met by the train station dressed as Team Rocket grunts. The only difference is that our hair is not dyed the usual pink. Instead, it's dyed our individual colors, being red, blue, green, and yellow, respectively.
We stepped inside and gave a wave to the man operating the system. He nodded and pulled the lever.
We weren't really going as fast as I hoped.
"Michael, how long will it take?" Blue asked.
"Let's see, assuming this acceleration… if max speed is... About 2 hours."
"Yay."
I took out a deck of cards. "Up for a game?"
"Sure," Leaf said. "Which one?"
"5 card draw?"
"I'll join," Michael said.
"Me too," Blue said.
That at least gave us something to do. After an hour and a half, we called Michael as the winner and put it away.
"So, plan?" Blue asked.
"Our only goal is to render the tower useless. Although the citizens may be loyalists, they're completely surrounded by freed cities. We have allies on every side. All we have to do is remove Team Rocket. They'll be forced to accept the change one way or another."
"Alright. How about roles?" Michael asked.
"Since we're disguised, we won't need any distraction, so we can stay together for once. Hopefuly this time a god doesn't pull me away."
"Don't jinx it," Leaf said.
The train was starting to slow down. We pulled up to the station, and the doors opened. There was no one in sight, so getting caught this early wouldn't hurt us yet.
There was a large set of stairs which led to the surface. It was just as gloomy as I remembered it. There was lots of concrete walls, but this time, there was graffiti on it. There was a large amount of regular "art", but there were also another thing that caught my attention. There was a simple Poké Ball with the top shaded in, our unofficial logo. Maybe this place has changed since we were last here.
"Well, this stuff is new," I said to myself.
"Hey you four!"
We turned around and saw a guy about my age with tattered jeans, an orange and grey long-sleeve shirt, and a pair of goggles around his neck. He sorta reminded me of Michael.
"Grunts, just mindlessly following orders. You are going to pay for what you've done against us," he said.
Okay, so a number of conclusions come to mind. One: This kid hates Team Rocket. Two: There are people fighting back in Vermillion. Three: we can either run or give up our identity. I guess we'll go with the later.
"Look, we're against Team Rocket to. Do you know what Poké Underground is?"
"Are you honestly trying to tell me that you're members of Poké Underground?"
"No, I'm trying to tell you I lead Poké Underground."
"Bullshit."
"Hold on, you forgot. This is the Pokémon world. You have to say 'Tauros shit', or 'Bouffalant shit'."
"Sorry, it's Tauros shit."
"So, The leader of Poké Underground has a Mew, right?" I asked, somewhat rhetorically.
"Yea…"
"Omni, prove who I am."
I sent out my Mew.
"No way… so, you guys are Leaf, Blue, and Micahel?"
"First time someone's recognized more than just Red," Blue said.
"Woah… I gotta show you guys to the others! They would love to see you in real life!"
"Hold on," I said. "Which 'others'?"
"The Patriots," he said, proudly. On second thought, he's a lot more like Ethan than Michael. "Vermillion city's rebel group."
"Well, that's different than last time."
"Well actually, you guys were the reason we started it. When you came through 9 months ago some of us actually started questioning Team Rocket. About five of us, myself included, formed the Patriots just to see what Team Rocket actually did. Once we had enough proof that Team Rocket is flawed, we went public."
"And that's why people are actually fighting back?" I asked.
"Yep. I'm Zach, by the way."
"You already know who we are," I said. "So, about showing us to the rest of your group?"
"Right! Follow me."
He showed us down a number of alleyways until we were in front of a skyscraper. We walked around it and saw a hatch for what looked like a hurricane shelter.
"Right this way," he said.
He opened the door, and climbed down a ladder. We followed him. Inside was just one fairly large room with a couple chairs, tables, and other things. There were some other people of varying ages.
"Hey Ben," one of the people asked. "Who are those guys?"
"Those guys," the person who led us in, now known as Zach, said, "Are Poké Underground."
The entire room was silent.
"I'm not particularly fond of awkward silences," I said. "So let's get down to it. First, proof that I'm Red." I sent out Omni again. I really need to find some battles that I can actually train her in.
ADD. Gotta love it.
Everyone was either looking at me, Omni, or Ben.
"Well," someone said. "Poké Underground." He stepped up. He was wearing a brown shirt and was a bit bigger than the others. "I'm Ben, leader of the Patriots."
"Fire Red, leader of Poké Underground. Those guys are Michael, Blue, and Leaf."
"That's a pretty little face," he said, looking at Leaf.
"Sorry, a couple months late there," I said.
"Alright, should have figured. Now, why are you four here?"
"Why else? We're taking Team Rocket out of Vermillion."
"How do you expect to do that?" he asked. "We've been trying to for the past couple months."
"Well, we've been doing it for almost a year now. I'd say we know what we're doing."
"Vermillion is a lot different than the other cities you've been to."
"Is it led by a crazy woman with psychic abilities?"
"No, it's led by a crazy man with 13 different guns in his room."
"Same thing. Plus, I have magic on my side."
"Aura is not magic," I heard Rift say from his ball.
"Magic?" Ben asked.
"Aura," I clarified. To demonstrate, I placed some into my hand.
"Well… Okay then."
"Now, let's get down to business. Do you want to help us or stand by?" I asked. "We're doing something no matter what you say."
"It's up to the others."
I turned and looked at the crowd.
"Well," I said. "What do you guys think?"
They all looked at each other.
"I'm in," Zach said.
"Let's do it!"
"It's Poké Underground! Of course I'll do it!"
"You're not leaving without us Dr. Freeman!"
I looked at the last guy. He can break the fourth wall apparently.
Thankfully, here was a collective agreement to work with us.
"Alright," Ben began. "I want Zach, Spencer, Emma, and Leo to go to the planning room with our guests. Everyone else is to prepare for whatever we do tomorrow."
Everyone broke away as Ben led the four of us, followed by three unfamiliar faces and Zach. We walked into a room with a large table at the center.
"Alright," Ben began. "This is the planning room. It's-"
"Can we hurry up?" Blue asked. "I need to start training my Pokémon at 8."
"Sure," Ben said. "I forgot that you guys use Pokémon."
"Why don't you?" Leaf asked.
"We can't really get enough Pokéballs for everyone. Not to mention how there are almost no wild Pokémon in the area."
"Maybe when we're done with this city you can go out and catch some," Michael suggested.
"That's a good idea… Let's talk about this later. First things first: Introductions. I'm the leader, and everyone else here are admins. You already know Zach."
"Yep. I lead the team's Heavies."
"What?" I asked.
"Here, we have four different groups: Heavies, Runners, Tech, and Public Relations," Ben explained. "Heavies are our strongest men, Runners are our most agile, Tech is mainly hackers, and PR does things like rallys or graffiti."
"You are a lot more organized than us," Michael commented.
"We only have 17 current members though," I reasoned.
"Current?" one of the guys asked.
"Yea. One is brainwashed by Team Rocket and one sorta disappeared. Not to mention the professors-"
"Let's not talk about that," Blue said. Forgot that was a touchy subject for him.
"Anyways, we have 17 members," I summarized.
"Okay. Now, let's quickly introduce you guys. Zach leads the heavies, Spencer leads Runners, Leo leads Tech, and Emma leads PR."
"Alright… So, let's get down to business."
I heard someone from the other room mutter "To defeat, the Huns." I think he's the smae guy who made the Half-Life reference.
We began preparing the attack.
"Okay, what can everyone do regarding the tower?" I asked.
"I know the runners can get in," Spencer said.
"I can't though," Zach said. "Not unless the entrance was open."
"Is it electronic or manual?"
"Manual," Leo responded. "Otherwise we would have already gone in."
"Leaf, you'll go with the Heavies and bring your Ditto."
"Got it."
"What can the Heavies do once they're inside?"
"Pretty much anything that can be done by hand or blunt object."
"Then it's simple. Destroy everything and provide backup during the executive."
"What about weapons?" Emma asked. "Most grunts have a gun of some form."
"They're electronic, right?"
"Yea," Leo responded. "But it's closed circuit. We'll have to be inside the tower to tap into the gun system."
"What about having a runner install a wireless flash drive?" Michael suggested.
"That could work."
"Still leaves us with Surge's weapons though," Ben commented.
"Who's Surge?" Blue asked.
"He's the executive, and has several non-electronic guns."
"That's easy," Blue said. "I can have Kadabra disable them."
"You can't disable a RK-47 though," Ben said. "They are made to be near indestructible."
"You don't understand Blue's language," I said. "By 'disable', he means he will either destroy, mutilate, or explode the object."
"That… should do."
"One issue though," Ben intervened. "We'll have to get Surge to leave his room unarmed. Seeing as how he always carries a pistol, he won't ever be truly harmless."
"I can deal with a pistol," I said.
"How can you possible stand up-"
I formed a aura shield in front of me.
"Well… that's…"
"That's aura. Remember when I said we have magic on our side? It's for more than just show."
"Well, that solves that issue…" Ben said to himself.
"Okay, we have all the ideas down, but we should probably make an actual plan," Blue said.
"Alright," I began. "Blue and the runners will enter the building from wherever they can. They will need to install the flash-whatever so that tech can control the grunts weapons. Blue will sneak into Surge's room and destroy his guns. It's important none of us are noticed yet."
"One issue," Spencer said. "We all have different protocol to avoid detection. I'm not sure if that will work if we have an extra person."
"I have Pokémon that can Fly, Teleport, Surf, Dive, Waterfall, Flash, Cut-"
"You don't need to list every HM. Also, half of those are just water moves," I interrupted.
"Yea… Still, I can get around easy."
"I guess… You'll just have to follow us," Spencer said.
"I can do that," Blue agreed.
"Okay. Once tech disables weapons and other securit, Leaf and the heavies will enter the tower and take it by force."
"I'm with tech, right?" Michael asked.
"No, I actually decided for you to go into PR- of course you're in tech," I said, sarcastically.
"Alright."
"Once the tower is taken care of, we force Surge out, and I'll battle him. If I defeat Surge, then either riots will start or Team Rocket will leave. Either way, we win."
"That's a good plan, but to have any impact, people will need to be watching," Emma said.
"I would imagine you have some ideas."
"Yep. We can hijack most propaganda TV programs, and it's pretty easy to gather a crowd with Team Rocket's most hated enemy parading through town."
"Alright then. And by parading, you mean I'll be running for my life from people who want to hang or stone me."
"Nothing gets by you, huh?"
"Damn right."
We made some small adjustments, but that was pretty much our plan. Michael has the flash-whatever (that's what I'm calling it now) and is just modifying it for tomorrow.
As we were about to leave, someone grabbed my arm.
"So you're Fire Red? I always thought you would be a bigger."
"I'm five foot eleven," I responded.
"So? You couldn't even defend your girlfriend over there. She'd be much better off with me."
I noticed Leaf, Michael, and Blue looking at each other, shocked.
"We're going outside," I said. No way am I letting this guy getting away with that.
It was fairly dark out, and several people gathered in a circle around us.
"You're going down," the guy said as he cracked his knuckles. He was fairly large, but that won't really stop me.
Someone stepped in and yelled "Ready, fight!"
I threw a ball of explosive aura at him. Knocked him out instantly.
"Apparently someone's never watched Indiana Jones. Anyways, I must be off."
I formed a column of Aura as a cover, and jumped onto a nearby building. It had a similar effect as a smoke bomb.
"Omni, can you tell the others to meet me at the border of Vermillion?"
"Will do."
"You know that you don't have to rely on Omni for telepathy," Blacklight said from his ball.
"Half of your team can communicate with humans," Rift said.
"Will you two shut up?"
"Nope," They both said simultaneously. Maybe I have rubbed off on them a bit…
"Whatever. Let's head off."
I started walking to the border, where I was met by Blue, Leaf, and Michael.
"So, that happened," Leaf said.
"Yep…"
We set up our sleeping bags and crashed for the night.
Zach's POV
Well, that was an eventful day. Between mistaking Red for a grunt, an alliance between Poké Underground and us, and a plan to kick Team Rocket out of Vermillion, I'm tired. I am somewhat curious though. Everyone in Poké Underground has Pokémon. I wonder what it's like to own one… No, Ben said it's not allowed. Maybe I can talk to him about it.
I walked to Ben's room and knocked, with no response.
"Ben, are you in?"
Again, no response.
I asked Leo if he heard anything from Ben.
"He said he was doing some recon at the tower before the mission tomorrow," he responded. Great.
Well, if I want to actually catch a Pokémon, I should get a ball from a grunt. I think that's what Red said he did, anyways.
I'll go into the city to find a gunt and talk to Ben. That should work and isn't against his rules.
I took off my work outfit and put on some regular clothes, with gray jeans and a red "R" on the shirt.
As I walked into the city, I noticed a group of 3 grunts, walking in a triangle. Now or never.
As the passed by, I grabbed the one behind the other two by the throat and mouth. Once he was unconscious, I moved up. Once I was directly behind them, I began a more serious attack.
I grabbed one of them and threw them at the other. While they were recovering from the shock, I began fighting the first one. I jabbed him in the side, then the jaw. He tried to block my fist, which, in response, I swung him over my shoulder. I'm not a Heavy for nothing.
That gave me some time to deal with the other. He was reaching for his gun, so I charged him. It was knocked out of his hands, thankfully. I was able to deliver several blows to his facial region, knocking him out. Back to the first guy.
He was on the ground, but had his gun out. I ducked into an alley so he couldn't shoot me, and waited. I saw the barrel of the gun stick around the corner, and took my chance. I grabbed it and pointed it back at the grunt. He put his hands up in surrender.
"Hell no."
I threw the weapon aside as I delivered one hard hit to his face. I know this sounds sadistic but I love to beat these guys up. I continued attacking until he didn't get up. I drug the unconscious bodies into the alley so people wouldn't see them. Then, I looted them.
There was 7 Pokéballs, 500 dollars, and some metal arm attachment. I'll have to look into that later.
Once it was clear, I began searching for Ben. I made my way towards the tower, careful to make sure I looked like a regular citizen.
Eventually, I saw a larger group of grunts surrounding someone. When I was behind them, I climbed up a small ladder to see.
"No way…"
That was Zach!
Spencer's POV
I was about to sleep when I heard my phone ringing.
"What is it Zach?" I asked. "It's too late to do anything."
"Get down to where I am as soon as you can. It's about Ben, and it's urgent."
I immediately tensed up.
"Where are you?"
"At the intersection of 6th and 18th street at the tower."
"I'll be there in ten."
"It's three miles from here!"
"I know a shortcut."
I immediately hung up and got my night runner gear on. It's black and easy to move in. People won't see me unless I want them to.
I climbed up a building and ran across the roofs. It saves me about 10 minutes, so it's worth the risk.
I reached Zach, and he looked panicked.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Ben is in the tower," he said.
"Was he captured?!"
"No… working with them."
"WHAT?"
"He was surrounded by eight grunts and walking to the tower."
"I'll take a look."
I ran to the back of the tower, where there's a gutter I climb up. I can usually reach a window from there, and get in.
Once I was inside, I ran through. I found a group of eight grunts surrounding… Ben. Zach was right!
I exited the same way I came in and called the other leaders.
"Guys, call off the attack tomorrow. Ben is against us," I said
"What do you mean?" Leo asked.
"We saw him with grunts guarding him," Zach explained.
"Are you ceratain?" Emma asked.
"Certain," I replied. "We both saw it."
"This is bad then. They know what we're doing."
"Then you have to improvise," a new voice said.
"Who's that?" I asked.
"I don't know," Leo said. "I don't recognize the number."
"Leo, for a tech pro, you don't know how to encrypt calls very well."
"Who are you?" Leo asked.
"Michael Ray. Who else?"
Michael from Poké Underground. I have yet to figure out whether or not that is a good thing.
"What's going on?" Emma asked.
"I'll tell you that Zach and Spencer should move out of the way in five… four,"
We walked out of the street. When Michael said "one", a huge flash of orange, yellow, blue, red, white, and brown passed through and rammed directly into the tower.
"Good work guys! We're tearing this place down!"
Was that… no way.
"Spark, Thunderbolt! Ignite, Flamethrower! Driver, Earthquake! Omni, Master Beam! Azure, Ice Beam! Rift, Aura Beam! In retrospect, everyone just use your best beam attack!"
Fire Red, physically attacking the tower. I love this guy.
Red's POV
Well, Rift apparently goes for evening strolls through the city, and on one of these strolls, he came across Ben with grunts. So, he came back and told me. And now, I've decided to ignore the plan and just attack the tower.
Also, my Pokémon are very good at destroying things. That helps a lot.
Currently, I was riding Ignite. Leaf and Michael are walking, and Blue is traveling by Fearow.
"Now, aim for the top! That's where Surge is cowering!"
"Did someone just call me a coward?" someone asked over the Rocket speaker system.
"Damn right!"
A man climbed up to the roof of the tower wearing full forest camo… in the city. He was carrying a rifle which was currently aimed at me.
"Ignite, lift me up!"
I projected a aura shield while Ignite was rising, deflecting the bullets.
"Bastard," I heard the guy, who I assumed to be Surge, say.
"I get called that a lot," I said, jumping off Ignite and onto the tower.
"So, you have two choices," I said. "Either we fight Pokémon or fight hand to hand. Bear in mind, I have aura."
I noticed people crowding around the tower, and Emma was one of them. Good. The Patriots know we've already made our move.
"Kid, I like you. Too bad we're on opposite sides. Otherwise you would be my second-in-command."
"I have a ball of aura in my hand which I can, at any moment, launch at you."
I felt the tower shake. My Pokémon are still hard at work.
"Let's battle then. One on one."
"Fine by me."
"Raichu, sick him!"
"Spark!" I yelled. "Can you get up here?"
A few second later, my Pikachu appeared. It looks like he used Quick Attack to run up the building. This battle will be fun.
"Hah. You can't hope to beat me with an unevolved-"
"Are you really going to make this like the anime?"
"What?"
"Doesn't matter. Spark, Thunderbolt!"
"Thunderbolt too, Raichu."
They were evenly matched (partially because of how Spark was experimented on).
"Raichu, try a Mega Punch!"
"Spark, do I even have to say it?"
He dodged it completely.
"Retaliate with Nuzzle!" I yelled.
Wait, are electric-types immune to paralysis?
"Depends if it's Gen VI or Gen I-V," Omni said.
I'll just assume they are.
"Cancel the Nuzzle and go to Quick Attack."
"Dodge-"
He couldn't even finish before Spark hit Raichu knocking him over the edge.
"Oh no… Raichu!" he yelled. Maybe he does have emotions.
As corny as it is, i know what I have to do.
"Ignite, catch the Raichu."
My Charizard swept down and returned with a dazed Raichu on it's back.
"Well, does that count as the end?" I asked.
"Yes… Why did you save him? You have nothing to gain."
"Well, two reasons. First, it was the right thing to do. Second, if I let Raichu fall, then the readers would begin disliking the protagonist of this story, and that would cause issues."
"I did not understand a word of that."
"You don't have to. Just know I saved your Raichu and half of Vermillion saw it."
He looked over the side of the tower, and was greeted by a couple thousand faces.
"Now, this is going to become a riot if you don't do something," I said, smugly. "They know you're not as great as you say, and a resistance member saved your Pokémon. You're kinda stuck."
"Kid, do you really expect me to quit Team Rocket?"
"I'll answer you once we're off the tower."
As I said that, it started to tip from my Pokémon's constant attacks to it. I jumped on Ignite while Surge fell down. Onto Blue's Fearow.
We landed in front of the crowd and behind the fallen tower.
"Well Surge?"
He took out his pistol and pointed it at me.
"Sorry kid. I even if I fall the rest of Team Rocket will carry-"
I generated a aura shield.
"Forgot about that, huh?" I asked.
I saturated my fist with aura (I think that's how you say it) and punched him.
"FALCON… PUNCH!"
It's already fun to say, then you add in how the aura makes my hand look like the real deal.
He was slammed into a nearby building.
"Well, that's that."
"I wouldn't be too sure about that."
I turned around and saw Ben. Big shocker, huh?
"Omni, hold him down."
"Sorry, but I can't let her go. Snag ball, go!"
Oh shit, I forgot about that. I don't think PASS is ready yet either. Of course, the problem with trying to capture a fully conscious Mew is that they don't want to be captured.
Omni dodged easily.
"…Huh. Probably should have considered that."
"Did you think you just press a button and it works?"
"Well, no, but…"
I jumped and tackled him to the ground.
"So," I said. "Who wants to knock him out?"
Zach, Spencer, Emma, and even Leo came out.
"Please, allow us."
"With pleasure."
Once he was surrounded, I let him go, and the others began attacking him. Viciously.
"You little bastard…" I heard Zach say.
Once Ben was bleeding and Unconscious, I turned to Emma.
"Do you guys have this? I'd rather not deal with the aftermath today."
"Sure," she responded. "Only thing is that this one will take a bit longer than you're used to. We'll have to win over the citizens who still think Team Rocket is correct."
"Alright then. I'll get my team an we'll take our leave."
"Go ahead."
As I was walking away, Zach stopped me.
"Red, I wanted to ask you something."
"What is it?"
"I was wondering… if I could join you guys."
"What?"
"As much as I like the patriots, it's not really my thing."
"You know that most of us have Pokémon, right?"
"And I do too. Shinx, come on out!"
He sent out a Shinx.
"How did you get him?" I asked.
"I stole a Pokéball from a couple grunts, and during the chaos of the battle, I found the little guy trapped inside the tower. I got him out, and he's now my Pokémon."
"Well… Don't the Patriots need you though?"
"Here's the thing. There are several other Heavies who are better suited to lead then I am. I also just don't work well in large groups. Commanding lots of people isn't my strong suit."
"Maybe… the other issue is that our groups are already bit too big. We're not changing the Kanto branch, once we find Kris there will 5 people in Johto, 6 people in Hoenn, and… actually, I think Sinnoh may need another member."
"Can you please let me do it?"
Time to weigh the options. On one side, it's another member, plus an easy way to contact the Patriots. The downside is forcing him to work with people he barely knows.
"Alright. There is a person in our team who's good at knowing when and how to recruit people. I'll have him come over and see."
"Sure! That's fine with me."
I sent a message to Gold asking him to come when he has the chance. Five minutes later, he responded.
It read "Look behind you."
I did and saw Gold with a Xatu.
"Who did you want me to meet?"
"I'll show you."
I led him to Zach, and introduced him. Gold didn't even hesitate before saying "Let him join."
"Alright then. Zach, welcome to Poké Underground."
"Thank you so much!"
"You're going to be in Sinnoh with Dawn, Lucas, and Barry. You'll know them pretty well soon enough."
"I can take him over there," Gold volunteered. "I was heading that way anyways."
"Great. I'll tell the others you're coming," I said.
Once Gold and Zach left, I called Dawn and told her about Zach. She seemed fine with it.
Blue and I ran by camp where Leaf and Michael were waiting.
"Well, that was long."
"You know, I never got to do anything," Leaf said.
"Well, we have one more city to take. Then we're on to Viridian and Indigo," Michael said.
"I'll take it."
"So, what city is it?" Blue asked.
"Cinnabar Island," I said. "We'll need to either ride Pokémon or get a boat out there."
"That'll be fun."
After a while, we climbed into our sleeping bags and crashed.
?
"Giovanni now only controls the central strip. He's going to fall apart soon."
"Sir, I would advise beginning our campaign soon. I worry that the rebel group will become more of a threat then Team Rocket itself."
"They will always be a threat. There is no doubt about that. However, they are only 20 men. Their abilities are quite limited."
"I would call attention to that they all carry at least 50 Pokémon combined, and at least one legendary. That is 70 individuals conspiring to take you down, at a minimum."
"That is true, but when I'm done, their numbers will go back to 20."
"Are you saying-"
"Yes. It is the easiest way to ensure control of the people."
"If you carry through with that, Arceus himself will be against you."
"So be it. I have methods of dealing with him."
"This is very reckless sir."
"I am never reckless. I will always have a plan, and will always win."
"Very well."
Flinky: Alright. The chapter was a bit long, in both the good and the bad sense. Nothing else to say down here, so goodbye.
