Last time on Dragon Ball Z...wait wrong intro. Just joking with y'all. In all seriousness, I'm glad I'm back to writing these chapters. As promised last chapter, here are three stories I have thought of so far, there are 8 so far;
The Iron Shinobi – Naruto stumbles upon the abandon workshop of Tony Stark, discovering Jarvis and an old suit of Tony's. With help from Jarvis, Naruto uses the suit to protect his village from old enemies, both of the villages and Tony's. And along with old enemies come new ones as well.
The Shinigami – Naruto, while exploring the Namikaze estate, discovers a secret room with ancient scrolls. The scrolls reveal Naruto of his heritage and also of an ancient Bloodline, the Phantom bloodline. A bloodline that grants its user the powers of a ghost, activated through the use of varies machines.
The Crimson Flash – My Name Naruto Uzumaki and I'm the fastest shinobi alive. When I was child my parents died to protect my village, sealing the one responsible away inside me. Then one day, an amazing event made me into something impossible. To the outside world, I'm the idiotic fool Naruto Uzumaki, but secretly I use my powers to protect my village and the innocent. I am the Crimson Flash.
There you go. I don't know when I'll start these, but it'll probably be after I finish the first arc of TKTP. Yes, I know, they're all Naruto crossover stories. I've been reading a lot of them, so some ideas came up. Now, before we get to far off tangent, let us jump back into the story. Allons-Y and Geronimo!
Ch. 7: The Voyage to Orange Town
The next day, after leaving Shells Town, everyone was up on the deck. James had gathered them to retell his story. When he saw everyone was together, he took a deep breath in and began, "I am going to tell and show you who I am and where I come from. Dorothy."
Suddenly the blue orb from before phased out of James's chest and expanded to its full size. James stepped up to it opened to door, he turned to the group motioned with his head, "Come inside." He stepped in as did Makino and Luffy, while Zoro and Nami hesitantly stepped in.
They found themselves inside the TARDIS, which now looks like a Tronified version of the 11th Doctors TARDIS. Dorothy materialized in front of James suddenly, surprising Zoro and scaring Nami, "Welcome back James, friend Luffy, friend Makino and welcome friends I have not met yet. I am Dorothy, the TARDIS's AI and soul." Both Nami and Zoro were confused beyond belief, James sighed, "Dorothy, play the visual history of Gallifrey up till the end of the time war." Dorothy nodded and played the clip.
Few hours later…
"Wow." Nami exclaimed.
James nodded in response, "After the Time War, my people were devastated both culturally and economically. We lost over half our population and most of our technology. That's when one of our scholars discovered what you humans call Magic. We discovered it was actually another form of science. So we were able to fuse both our knowledge and this magic together to create new Time Lord Magic. Then the elders decided that, to prevent anything like the Time War from happening again, our people would watch over all good and evil. We would prevent either side to hold more sway over the other, keeping the scale balanced, if one were to say. Because, without good there is no evil and vice versa."
Nami still couldn't believe what she was hearing. Their quartermaster was an alien; not only that, but supposedly one with powers over time. "How long have your people been doing this?"
"For about 100,000 years now."
Then a question hit Nami, "Um, James, how long do you're people live?"
James shrugged, "Well originally we could live for about two millennia, but with all our new responsibilities, the oldest anyone has lived is about 1,780 and they died of natural causes. Unfortunately our due to a recent plague, our population has started to diminish again, if only slowly. I myself am 213 and considered quite young for my race."
James then went on to explain why he was there. "And that's my story. You don't have to tell me yours, for I have already seen your past," Zoro looked pissed at this part and Nami looked worried, "and I won't judge you for your choices. But if you wish to talk to me about it, you can. I guess you can consider me the crew's therapist. But I digress, let us return to the ship. Oh by the way, as quartermaster, I have made a schedule to train with every one of you each day." James then led them out of the TARDIS and back onto the ship. Then the TARDIS shrank and retuned into James chest. "I expect to see you all bright and early tomorrow morning."
For the next 4 days, the crew got up early for James's morning workouts. This helped strengthen the crew for any challenges they would meet. The first day James trained with Luffy; both wearing white wife-beaters and soccer shorts, provided by James. He already knew Luffy would favor hand-to-hand, so he had decided to try and teach him taijutsu (which he had picked up in a ninja village) without using his powers. Surprisingly, he took to it like a duck to water. By the end of the day, Luffy was trying to combine his powers with the fighting style. "Okay Luffy, pack it up for the day."
"Hai."
The next day was Nami's training. James wore the same outfit while Nami had on a yellow tank top and shorts. After a few hours of talking and trials with different weapons, James found that Nami favored the bo staff. So he split the rest of the day in half; the first half teaching her basic hand-to-hand training in case she loses her weapon and the second half was bo staff training.
James also found that when she used her stealth and deception techniques in conjunction with her fighting style, she was an unstoppable force. I.e., when she tripped him up, slammed her staff into his stomach and flipped him over it, causing him to fall on his back, hard. "Umm, you know let's stop for today." James said as he slowly picked himself up as Nami bowed.
The third day was Makino's turn, however James already, like Luffy, knew Makino's specialty. She is an excellent marksman and is able to turn her rifle into a club for close quarter combat. He found it was easy to set up a routine for her; target practice, moving and non-moving, and then weapon sparing.
James stood on the deck in a foul mood. Today he was to observe and create a work out for Zoro, but the swordsman was not only three hours late for training but he skipped the morning workout. Finally he lost it, "ZORO!" Suddenly a thump and "Ow" was heard from the crow's nest. Apparently Zoro had been asleep in the crow's nest all this time.
"Zoro, please get down so we can start your training." James said in a sternly sweet voice with a big smile on his face. Zoro paled, gulped and quickly hopped down, only James and Nami could scare the swordsman in that way. James gave him an innocent look, "Since you think you don't need to train I want you to strike me down." James grabbed the hilts of his swords, which were crossed in an X on the back of his waist.
Zoro raised an eyebrow but shrugged off the odd behavior. He tied his bandana over his head and drew his swords. But when he looked back up, James had disappeared. He looked over his shoulder, hearing footsteps and saw James. His swords were partially drawn, except he wasn't drawing them. He was sheathing them. When the two scimitars clicked against their sheaths, Zoro was suddenly struck 100 times with the flat of the scimitars.
He dropped the sword from his mouth, breathing heavily from the strength behind those strikes, "How-", was all he could get out. James turned around to Zoro, "You're over confident. You believe you are superior to you to your opponent, no matter how strong they are." He sighed, "That is both an admirable and insufferable trait to have. I can see you're going to be as stubborn as a mule."
Then he gave Zoro a devilish grin, "Reminds me of myself when I started out, this'll be fun. Zoro, if you can block one of my strikes by the end of today, I may take you seriously." Zoro turned his head and returned the devil grin, "Oh, you're so on." So for the rest of the day, Zoro worked his body to its limit for the rest of the day so that he could beat James. Around late in the evening, when the sun halfway below the horizon, Zoro and James stood across from each other.
James hands went to the handles of his blades as he took a step forward, then suddenly he became a blur. Zoro had already drawn his white katana with his left hand and positioned it in a diagonal downward block. When James appeared again behind Zoro and the click was heard, the sound of metal hitting skin was heard. But after 30 slaps, the sound of metal hitting metal rang out in the air followed by the continuing sound of metal on flesh.
When the sounds ended, the two turned to face one another. Zoro gave James a shit eating grin, "I win." James just shook his head, chuckling, "Why do you have to act just like me when I was staring out. Sigh. Well at least this will be fun." He returned Zoro's grin as they walk forward and shook each other's hand. The next day, around mid-morning, Makino yelled out from the crow's nest, "Land ho!" Everyone rushed to the bow of the ship to see Orange town on the horizon.
'There it is, Orange Town. We're coming for you and you're map Buggy. So you better be ready.' Luffy thought.
(Well that's it for this chapter. I'll see you all next time. Sorry if this chapter seems short, but i'm thought of this filler chapter last minute to cut down the length on the next chapter. Well, Au revior.)
