Flinky: Hello world! I'm back. Late chapter, blah blah blah, giving up on one chapter a week, blah blah blah, Reviews!

Flinky: One from Ether. Part of the reason I had Team Rocket... convert Yellow was to have that effect.

Red: Well, that was fast.

Flinky: Also, almost to 100k words. I'd say that's a pretty big milestone.

Red: It's been how long?

Flinky: It's been 251 days since I uploaded chapter one.

Leaf: You could have put that on the chapter where it actually becomes 100k words.

Flinky: True, but there are as many Pokemon in Gen 2 as there are days since I started this. That's a pretty cool coincidence.

Red's Pokemon (On Hand):

Ignite (Charizard)
Moves: Flamethrower, Smoke Screen, Dig, Wing Attack

Omni (Mew)
Moves: Every one except Judgement

Driver (Sandslash)
Moves: Dig, Magnitude, Swift, Earthquake

Spark (Pikachu)
Moves: Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Nuzzle, Discharge

Storm (Pidgeotto)
Moves: Wing Attack, Gust, Quick Attack, Steel Wing

Rift (Lucario)
Moves: Thunder Punch, Close Combat, Dragon Pulse, Aura Beam

"How many repels do we have?" Blue asked.

"Eight. Everyone will get two," Michael responded.

We just entered the Seafoam Island's cave system. There are way too many Zubats here.

Great. Another one just attacked me. "Spark, Discharge."

Spark took it out.

We kept walking through. There wasn't very much to note. There did seem to be a lake and river, which is strange seeing as how we're likely under the ocean (I lost track a while ago). Eventually, we came to a point where we would have to cross the lake to move on.

"Azure!"

"Azumarill!"

"Blastoise!"

"Ditto!"

We crossed the river, and it instantly felt much colder. We all took out our jackets (or second jacket in my case).

The further we moved, the colder it got. Then, we heard a Pokémon call (and it wasn't a Zubat).

"Articuuuno!"

Okay, I get that it's a legendary, and that's pretty cool. But not only have I already met it, I kinda expected it. I mean, it's either that or a Regice or Kyurem is in the area. The air doesn't just naturally get colder like that.

We ran up to the noise, and sure enough, an Articuno was there. What I didn't expect was the amount of rocket grunts there.

We immediately hid behind different boulders.

"Come on now. We can't have you escape again."

Couldn't recognize the voice. Doesn't matter though. I looked over, and saw them trying to restrain Articuno.

It was pretty funny actually.

Her wings and legs were tied down, and there were several frozen Master Balls around her.

"Make sure it doesn't freeze another guard!"

Two grunts were trying to put something over her mouth, and in response, she fired an Ice Beam and froze them solid.

"Ugh, we're running low on fire-types as it is."

I looked at the guy who said it. He seemed to be in charge of this operation, since he was wearing a white suit. That's strange though. Standard admins wear black suits.

"Okay. Try to do it from behind."

Time to bust this operation. There are 10 grunts and the admin. I signaled to the others to take the grunts (we've actually made signals to communicate everyone's job when we come up on something like this) while I go for the admin.

"Espeon! Let's do it!"

"Ivysaur! Take them down!"

"Blastoise! Flush them away!"

"Ignite! Light em' up!"

I'll have to have Blue think of a better battle call.

The grunts took a couple seconds before they realized that there were four trained Pokémon in front of them. Then, there was a combination of Raticates, Arboks, Koffings, and Muks.

I have to focus on the admin though.

"Don't care who you are. Shut up and battle me."

"So pushy, aren't-"

"Leaf, can you take the straps off of Articuno?" I yelled.

"On it!"

"Stop her!" the admin yelled.

A couple grunts ran directly at Leaf. In response, I launched an explosive ball of aura at them.

"Like I said. we're going to fight."

"Irritating little brat…"

"First time someone hasn't called me bastard," I said.

I could see him get red in the face.

"Fuck you."

"I choose to take that as a sign that I'm doing my job well."

"Houndour! Burn him and his Pokémon!"

"Ignite! Prove that that's not possible!"

He took the first move. "Houndour, Crunch!"

"Dodge and use Dig!"

Seeing as how Ignite could fly, the Crunch missed. Ignite then went underground.

"Careful Hound-"

"Just take him out," I said. Ignite popped up right underneath Houndour, knocking it out.

"Now, do you want to call it in, or are you going to drag it out?" I asked.

"I will forever figh-"

"Okay then."

I swapped out Ignite with Driver. He only had poison and fire types, so Driver swept him.

"Alright. That was fun."

I think he was crying? Whatever. I looked at the area where Articuno was being held.

There were 10 unconscious grunts, Leaf, Michael, Blue, an Espeon, a Blastoise, and a Venasaur. And the Articuno. Almost forgot that part.

"Well, that felt familiar," I said, then turned to the admin.

"Okay, who are you, what's your job, and what are you doing with Articuno?"

"I'll never speak."

Dammit, I forgot to bring Shadow. Oh well.

"Okay. You have 10 seconds before you get shocked, lit on fire, and frozen simultaneously."

"I will never betray Pryce…"

Wait, Pryce? Don't they normally say Giovanni?

"Who's Pryce?" I asked.

"Ugh… I won't tell."

"Omni, can you tell me what he's thinking?"

"Sure."

She came out of her ball, concentrated for a second, and told me.

"This is a fun one. There's a shadow organization called Neo-Rocket trying to overthrow the original, and he's an admin. He tried to catch Articuno to add more firepower to his team but failed, obviously."

He looked horrified.

"Who's Pryce?"

"Pryce is an Executive in Johto who leads Neo-Rocket."

I turned to the grunt.

"Thank you."

I tied him up to a rock and left him there.

"Now for Articuno."

I turned and looked at her. She hasn't really moved that much since we freed her.

"You may want to move somewhere. Team Rocket has tried to get you twice. I wouldn't be surprised if they shot for three."

She nodded, and looked at Leaf.

"Leaf," Omni began. "She wants to go with you."

She was shocked. "Me? Why me?"

"Well, Red and Blue already have legendaries, and Michael carries shadow Pokémon, which a bit of a bad memory for her."

"Well, sure. Here."

Leaf put down a Pokéball in front of Articuno. She pressed the button herself.

"Alright! I got an Articuno! An evolution and a capture!"

"I swear that sounds familiar…" I said under my breath.

Anyways, everyone but Michael has a legendary, which is pretty good.

We continued through the tunnel and to the beach. On it was a Team Rocket boat.

"Well, I think we all know the answer," I said.

"I'll start hot-wiring it," Michael said.

"Actually, I think I'll ride Articuno. I want to get to know her."

"Go ahead," I said.

Michael didn't take long. Pretty soon, we were moving.

"This is pretty fun," I said, steering the boat into a large wave.

"Red, stop. I don't want to drown," Blue said.

"You have Pokémon, including a water legendary, and we're driving a Rocket boat. We can completely destroy it."

"Yea… but-"

"Incoming!" Michael yelled.

Ahead was a group of four boats, all with the Rocket logo. This is getting familiar.

"Are there any weapons on this?" I yelled.

"Don't think so!" Blue yelled back

"Pokémon it is. Get ready to jump off at any given moment," I said.

"Blastoise and Manaphy, We need your help!"

"Azumarill! We got some Rockets to stop!"

I couldn't talk to Leaf, so I assumed she knew what was happening.

"Omni! Azure! Storm! Ignite!"

I sent out the four, leaving me with Driver and Rift with me. Since Driver is not a choice on water, I'll have to rely on Rift.

The boats drew near. Time to go.

Ignite instantly fired a Flamethrower at them. They probably weren't expecting fire on the ocean.

"Blastoise! Turret!"

I saw Blue next to his Blastoise, who was on the boat with his two turret things firing huge torrents of water.

As we were striking, I heard gunshots.

"Everyone, either duck or don't stop moving!"

Blue was behind one of the seats, but Blastoise was still at the railing. I saw bullets hit his shell, but they bounced off.

I accelerated the boat to ram into one of theirs. I hoped that ours was stronger.

It wasn't. It did do some damage, but our hull was broken.

"Time to bail. Ignite, need a lift!"

Ignite flew down and picked me up. Soon, I was on his back.

"Nice. Let's see if we can finish off that one," I said, pointing to a boat currently trying to run into Michael.

He flew down and did a Flamethrower. I need to teach him more fire moves.

"Wing Attack on the driver!"

As he got close, I saw the driver. It was a girl with red hair and glasses.

My view didn't last long. Soon enough, she was sent flying into the ocean.

"Alright! Now for the other ones!"

Ignite took a sharp turn and flew toward the second one. As we were going there, it froze entirely. I saw Leaf and Articuno fly by right afterwards.

"It's on!" I yelled. "Ignite, Flamethrower on the one with the driver who has the dress!"

He sent a more powered-up Flamethrower at her boat. It caught on fire. On the ocean.

Only one boat left. Leaf and I were racing to take it down first.

The person who was at the last boat was terrified. I would be too, if an Articuno and Charizard were competing to destroy you.

"Flamethrower!"

"Ice Beam!"

Ignite didn't fire a Flamethrower. I think… he learned Blast Burn. Fuck yea.

Blast Burn hit the boat first, completely decimating it.

"I win," I said to Leaf.

"Next time will be different," she responded, jokingly.

"Guys, look ahead of us," Michael said.

We turned and saw a Rocket warship. It was about 400 feet. This will be fun.

"Well, we know what to do," I said.

"Are we seriously attacking that?" Blue said. "It has fucking cannons!"

"They look like a 54 caliber," Michael explained. "Aimed by a computer system. It probably will hit us and it will hit us hard."

"Then we stay out of it's range. Water types should try to go for the hull, flying should go for the surface," I commanded.

"Alright!"

We broke and began attacking. I'm almost scared for what Omni will do.

"Ignite, drop me off on top of the boat. I'm going to go in."

As we approached, the turrets started firing. The cannon is starting to move, but isn't locking on to anyone yet.

Ignite was able to drop me on the deck.

"RIft, I'll need some help!"

"It's hard to tell," he said. I think the whole "adapting my personality" thing has finished.

We moved through the boat. There were several grunts, all of which Rift defeated.

Then, there was the cannon. It was currently taking aim at Leaf.

Both Rift and I prepared a Aura Beam and fired it. After a minor explosion, it was destroyed.

I was about to go inside the boat, when I saw a flash behind it. Omni is using Master Beam.

Well, this thing is dead.

The beam fired down the middle, splitting the boat in half. Literally. A 400 foot military boat cut in half.

I returned Rift and waited for one of my Pokémon to pick me up. I pulled up a piece of debris while the boat was sinking. There were a couple grunts scrambling for lifeboats. I just sat there.

After a couple minutes, I was picked up by something. It was way too fast to be Ignite. I looked around and saw a Pidgeot.

"You evolved, huh Storm?"

"Pidgeot! Ot!"

"Alright."

He threw me up, and flew under me, so I was on her back.

As we were gliding, I saw a flash from the boat. They were firing a missile at us! Is that even possible on a sinking boat?

"How fast can you go?" I asked Storm.

In response, he accelerated. A lot. I opened Snapgram on my Pokégear and checked my current speed. 761 miles per hour. I took a selfie with the missile behind me and sent it to the other members of Poké Underground.

Back to the missile behind us. I fired aura at it. It seemed to displace it slightly, but didn't make it explode in mid-air.

"Alright, Strom, try and send the missile into the sea."

He flew down to the ocean. I lowered my body and held on tightly.

He made a sharp turn at the last second. I don't think I'm going to recover from the forces I just experienced.

The plus side is that the missile is underwater.

We came back to the others, who were flying/surfing away from the mass of lifeboats and debris.

"So," I said. "A battle ship. That's a first for us."

"Right after a legendary catch," Leaf added.

"Yep. Anyways, we should be coming up to Cinnabar," Michael said.

"So, what happens once we take it?" Blue asked.

"Then Team Rocket only controls two Kanto cities. Viridian and Indigo," I answered. "Their almost done."

We went on without talking until we reached the island. It was fairly small. Half of it was just a volcano. The other half was the actual city.

"Now, where to begin?" Blue asked.

I thought for a while. We know just about nothing about this place.

"If I may cut in," Leaf said. "We just need to go through the facts. It's an island. It is isolated from the mainland. Resources are scarce, but so are ideas. These people will suck up whatever Team Rocket feeds them."

"Yea," Michael said. "That sounds about right."

"So, just taking the tower will be easy, but to convince the people to join us is an even bigger issue," I summarized.

"Yep," Leaf responded.

"Okay… The key here is to find what will convince the people to switch sides. In Pewter… that was actually pretty lucky," I commented.

"Flinky was pretty bad at writing around that time," Omni pointed out.

"Yea, whatever. Anyways, in Saffron, I took down their 'invincible' leader, Vermillion the Patriots helped out, and Celadon was an unstable city to begin with."

"So, we have to find out something new here," Blue said.

"We don't have a safety net this time. We'll have to do this all ourselves," Michael explained.

"Well, thinking about impossibility is not going to help us. We have to do some shit," I said.

"Well, let's make a plan," Leaf said.

We landed on the island and found an isolated beach to stay at. It was isolated because it's behind the volcano. Then, we made a plan. Since this was our last regular city (It would leave Indigo and Viridian, which are very different), we are going to make this one big.

This time, we will actually follow it, so I won't go into detail about it.

Yellow's POV

"The bastards are here?" Green asked.

"Yes ma'm," one of the guards responded. "Poké Underground came through the Seafoam Islands. They destroyed four patrol boats and one battleship on their way over."

"These guys will be fun," Crystal said. "They may put up a fight."

"I doubt it," I said. "Their just some cowards who will give in when they see an actual fight."

"Don't underestimate them," Red said. "The reason they've actually succeeded is because we have been doing exactly that."

"Come on," I said. "We have a Shadow," I said, referring to Green.

"A genius," I said to Crystal.

"A healer." I was referring to myself. "And Red. Their going to get what they deserve!"

"You can never be too careful," Red muttered.

Now we just wait for them to try and take us down.

Red's POV

"Alright. The ultimate mash-up of everything we've done starts today," I declared. It was about 6:30 in the morning, and we were ready.

I dressed as a civilian and entered the city, looking for the car dealership I saw last night. I heard Blue through my earpiece.

"If we're going to go through all the cities that we've already taken, should I act like an arrogant prick who hates you?"

"You don't really need to try," I said.

"Great!" He changed to a mock-serious tone. "Red, you shouldn't be the one to steal the car! You're not even 16 yet!"

"Actually, tomorrow is my birthday. I'm close enough."

I kept walking until I found the car lot. I looked for a Jeep for the sheer purpose of looking like a badass.

There wasn't anyone outside. Now or never.

"Okay," Michael began. "First, take the lock pick I gave you."

Michael had Bill send us some lockpick device. It was fairly simple. I just put it on top of anything that needs a key. It's a bit better than using Leaf's Ditto.

The car door clicked. I took off the pick and climbed in.

This was one of those cars that they have higher and on a slope. Key word "slope".

To actually start the car, Michael walked me through the steps to hot-wire it. I seriously question what he did before Poké Underground.

Anyways, the engine started up.

"I don't think I've actually driven a car before," I said.

"Well, it's just like a bike," Leaf said. "Unless you got a shift. Then you're fucked."

"Yea, it doesn't really matter. I'll just keep my foot on the gas pedal."

I set it to reverse and went off the ramp, earning some stares from pedestrians.

Time to GTA this shit.

Two thoughts went through my head: 'I'm fucked' and 'This is awesome!' I choose to ignore the former.

I weaved through the streets. I think I ran over a couple Priuses. Good.

After a couple minutes of abusing the gas pedal, slamming on brakes, and horrible turning, I had some Police cars on my trail.

I made a sharp U-turn, which stopped some cars. My goal was to attract as much attention as possible.

Soon enough, there were helis in the air. Throwback to Cerulean.

Michael's' POV

I looked at the street. There were three helicopters in the air following a vehicle. Gotta love Red.

Time for Leaf and I's job. We need to get in the tower and disable weapons, like what we did at Lavender.

"Okay… got it."

The lockpick just opened the door to the Tower. Of course, going in on the ground is no fun. We broke in through a fire exit on the third floor, well away from where the active grunts are. We moved up another floor and saw the servers. Exactly what I'm looking for.

Red's POV

"Come on Michael…"

I was currently being assaulted by three streams of bullets. There were holes in just about everything but the engine and me. Arceus, these guys have shit aim.

Soon, all the gunfire stopped. I looked out the window and saw the helis still circling me, but no bullets fired. I live to see another day.

I jumped out of the car and made a beeline to the tower, running past the confused grunts. Next up is for Blue to lure out the executive.

Blue's POV

"Sir, there are rebels outside the building!" I yelled.

"Poké Underground, huh? Go to the tower and tell the A-team."

A-team? The hell is that? I just tried to get the executive to leave his house. I had to dress like a grunt to get past security, and now deal with this old guy.

"It's urgent that you go to the tower as soon as you can," I said.

"Nonsense. I am certain that they can handle it."

I guess I'll have to play along.

"They asked that you be present."

That got him interested.

"Alright. Then let's make haste."

We set off for the tower. If all is going to plan, Red, Leaf, and Michael are already there. Of course, us and plans don't mix very well.

As we got there, he didn't take the front door. He entered a nearby building. Inside was a bunch of machines and equipment, but the center of attention was four people.

I got closer to see them- no way.

Red and Kris. Right here.

"So, you called for me?" the executive asked.

"Why would we?" Red responded.

"The grunt claimed that you called for my presence."

"We did not," Lyra said. Then she looked at me.

"Sir, the guard is Blue Oak, of Poké Underground."

Flinky: Alright! A cliffhanger! And a pretty big one.

Red: You are an evil, evil man.

Flinky: I know.
