Emily POV

"Maya, I want to go here with you," I say between sucks. "I want to fuck you all the time and sleep with you in my arms."

"Baby, let's talk about that later. Right now," she unclasps her bra ridding if from her middle, "we need to get the rest of our clothes off."

She kisses up my belly, kissing each nipple, up my neck to my lips. I wrap my arms and legs around her making her mine totally and completely…

Chapter 52: Maya's New Roommate

Emily POV

There's a knock at the door.

"Ahem, it's me Samara. Can I come in?"

"Just a minute!" Maya calls to her.

We're dressed and freshened up as we finish remaking Maya's bed.

She opens the door letting Samara in.

When she enters she makes sure to look around, "Well, I'm guessing you're well acquainted with your room now." She so knows!

We look at each other smiling, "Yeah, it's great. But I sure would like a roommate," Maya eye sexes me and I feel my body shiver.

"Oh, that won't be a problem. We just accepted another student this morning and she'll be your new roommate. Isn't that exciting!"

"Wait, what?" Maya is caught off guard as am I.

"But Samara, I was supposed to find out from my parents tonight if I can enroll. If they say yes then Maya and I want to be roommates," I sound really disappointed or maybe a little whiney.

"I'm sorry Emily but no one is allowed a single and Maya was the last one. And right after we assigned you," she looks at Maya, "a roommate, another girl was accepted so if Emily's parents say yes then she'll be rooming with the latest arrival."

"So I would have to be roommates with this other person?"

"Yes. It's our policy to treat everyone the same. We couldn't hold a spot for you Emily when there are others who have filled out all the appropriate paperwork and paid their tuition on time."

"Well, when's the deadline?" Maya asks.

"Emily has until eight pm tonight. If your parents," she looks at me, "say yes and you drop off your paperwork even a minute after eight, your application will be denied."

Shit!

"Em, you should go talk to your parents and fast."

"Do you think they'll say yes?" Samara asks.

"I'm not sure. The only chance I have is that new swim facility."

"If you want, I can follow you to your house and be your personal selling point."

"You would do that?"

"If it means having a good person like you attend Rosewood Prep then I say absolutely!"

I'm so overwhelmed with emotion that I leap into Samara's arms, "Thank you so much!"

She holds me close, I think, to keep from being knocked over by me.

"Okay you two, break it up," Maya, my protector, steps in.

"Do you want me to come too, baby?"

Samara POV

"Maybe you shouldn't Maya. This needs to be an educational decision and if her parents see you there they might think all the two of you want to do is have sex since the two of you are dating." I can't help myself. Emily and Maya are super-hot and together they are sizzling. I bite my lower lip in an attempt to stop myself from going there in my head!

"Unfortunately, Samara's probably right." I am.

"I hate to admit it but I think so too."

"Anyway Maya, you've got your new roommate coming so you'll probably want to be here when she arrives."

"I do kinda want to know who she is," she takes Emily's hand then looks at me, "Do you know her name?"

"Umm, I don't remember which girl it is."

"Well, I guess you better go then Emily. You don't have much time to convince them."

"I think you're right."

They kiss a sweet kiss that lingers.

I try not to look but damn! I'm mesmerized. If they kiss like that then everything else must be fucking amazing!

"Okay, I'll call you later."

Emily and I leave together…

Maya POV

About twenty minutes later there's a knock on my door. It must be my new roomy! I anxiously open the door but I'm not prepared for who I see on the other side...

Emily POV

Samara follows me to my house. My parents' cars are in the driveway so that's a good sign. When we enter the house, the smell of dinner cooking fills the air.

"Mm, that smells really good."

"Why thank you," my mom appears from the kitchen. "And who might you be?"

"Mom, this is Samara, the student mentor at Rosewood Prep. Samara this is my mom, Pam Fields."

"Mrs. Fields, it's so nice to meet you," she extends her hand.

My mom eagerly takes it.

"Nice to meet you," they exchange niceties.

"Emily, can you run upstairs and get your father, he's in our bedroom," she says as she escorts Samara into the living room.

I retreat to get my father but take a peek before I go upstairs. It appears as though Samara is charming the pants off my mother already! Yes! I really hope I can go. And I really hope Maya and I can get those other girls to be roommates so the two of us can have our own room!

My father and I join Samara and my mom who is laughing and smiling. Wow! Samara really is the charmer! This is so great!

She talks up the pool facility and tells them I'll be meeting girls from other parts of Pennsylvania and beyond. She makes sure they know I will room with one of the girls who enrolled last minute so my parents know it won't be Maya. This seems to relax them even more. I really think they're going to say yes!

Maya POV

"Oh my god! Spencer! You're my roommate! You're coming to Rosewood Prep!"

"I wanted to come. I wanted to get away from all the painful reminders of –A and Toby. And who ends up being my roommate but a constant reminder."

I tilt my head, "Spencer, maybe its better this way. It will force you to deal with it all."

"Deal with it? I've dealt and I'm done."

"Good. Then we can both move forward. Welcome," I move aside letting her pass.

"Maya?"

"Yeah?"

"I'm glad you're okay."

"I'm glad you're okay too."

"I don't know about that but I'm trying one day at a time."

"That's the only way you can."

I open my arms to her and she tears up collapsing into them. I wrap them around her.

"It's going to be okay. We're going to be okay."

"Thanks Maya," she holds onto me.

I think she just doesn't get this kind of affection at home. And I'm happy to give her some. She deserves to be held by someone who truly cares about her and knows what she's been through.

Once the hug fest ends, she wipes away her tears and I help her get settled. It's actually nice. It feels good and I'm glad that if Emily can't be my roommate that Spencer is. We both want to focus on our studies and I think we can really help each other with that. I need to have a goal in my life besides Emily. If we get too needy of one another then we'll start resenting each other. I don't want that and I know she doesn't either.

After all her things are put away we decide to walk around campus to familiarize ourselves with everything. She seems excited which is really great because I wasn't sure if she would ever smile again. But not only is she smiling, she's laughing too, we both are! We decide to grab a bite to eat in the cafeteria when a familiar voice calls our names…

Emily POV

We have dinner while Samara takes every opportunity to convince my parents to let me go to Rosewood Prep. She especially talks up the swim facility. She then goes on to explain about their college prep seminars and how the students learn to write an appropriate essay. They also do mock college interviews to help calm the students' nerves in preparing them for their face to face meeting. My father, I think, doesn't really need to hear any of this cuz he wants me to go where I'll be happiest. My mom on the other hand has Maya in the back of her mind. She knows what we went through over the summer and I know she wants me to have a break from being put in another intense situation. Rosewood Prep isn't going to be a cake walk and she wants to make sure I can handle it.

"So, Mr. and Mrs. Fields, if you decide that Emily can attend Rosewood Prep then we have to get her enrolled by eight pm, otherwise, she'll miss the enrollment deadline."

"I understand that Samara but it's quite a big financial decision that her father and I need to make."

My heart sinks. This doesn't sound good.

"That gives us less than two hours to decide Pam so I think we should go to the study and figure this out."

"But I have to wash the dishes and clean the kitchen." She's stalling.

"I'll do it!" I practically leap out of my seat.

"That's sweet of you dear but you couldn't possibly get this cleaned up on your own."

"I'll help her. Don't worry Mrs. Fields, your kitchen will look immaculate, I promise,"
Samara winks at me but it's not like how Maya winks at me. No butterflies whatsoever.

"Pam, come on, let the girls clean up."

She places her napkin on the table, "Well, alright then."

She starts to tell us where everything goes but my dad sees right through what she's doing and escorts her into the study.

"What was that?" Samara asks perplexed by my mother's behavior.

"That's my mom, wanting things done her way and in her time."

"She doesn't want to let you go does she?"

"It's complicated. I went through a lot over the summer and I think she just wants me to take it easy senior year."

"Really? Usually it's quite the opposite."

"I know. But the summer was anything but relaxing."

"What happened?"

"Oh, just stuff. Another time maybe," I smile as we clear the dishes and clean the kitchen making sure it meets with my mother's high standards…

Maya POV

"Maya! Spencer!"

We freeze. We know that voice. We look at each other like no fucking way! We turn around to face the one who calls us by name. Yes fucking way!

"Hanna?" Spencer says bewildered.

We hug. She's all smiles and we're all furrowed eyebrows with confusion.

"What are you doing here?" I ask super surprised to see her.

"Why, cuz you don't think I'm smart enough to go to some stupid prep school."

"Hey. That's not what I meant." But it kind of was.

"Well, you can blame Spencer for me being here."

"Me? What did I do?" She puts her hand over her chest in shock by the accusation.

"You left me at Rosewood High all by myself and when my mom found out you wouldn't be around to keep me on task with my studying, she got your mom to call in a favor to let me in."

"So, you're the late enrollee who might have Emily as a roommate."

"Really? Emily might come too! That would be so awesome!"

"Hanna, not to be all negative, but wasn't your mom having financial issues after the divorce?" Spencer asks.

"I know. It's like all of sudden she opened up a box of lasagna from the pantry and wads of cash came pouring out!"

We laugh.

"I think she talked to my dad and they worked something out like if I get good grades he'll pay for half and then when I go to college he'll pay for half of that too or something like that."

"I think that's great. And I'm sorry if I sounded surprised to see you here," I apologize feeling kind of shitty, not for what I was saying, but for what I was thinking.

"Thanks Maya. So, have you heard from Emily?" She joins Spencer and me as we head to the cafeteria.

"Not yet but Samara is at her house trying to convince Pam and Wayne to let her come."

"Pam and Wayne, really Maya," Hanna smirks.

"The only reason I say it like that is because of something that happened with me and Emily and what she said to me."

"Oh my god Maya, you can't say that and not tell us what happened so spill."

"Yeah, I'm with Hanna, spill."

"It happened sometime last November though there must've been a heatwave cuz we were wearing shorts and tees. Cuz, ya know, it's normally chilly at that time of year in Pennsylvania. Anyway, Emily had come out to her parents and her mom didn't take it very well but her dad was super cool about it."

"And," Hanna wants me to keep going.

"I was at Emily's while her parents were out. We were on her bed—"

"Oh my god this is getting good!" Hanna grabs Spencer's arm all suspenseful.

"We weren't doing anything."

"Liar!" Both Hanna and Spencer call me out!

"Okay, maybe we fooled around a little but not when her mom was in the house."

"Her mom came home early?" Spencer's eyes widen.

"Emily and I were lying on her bed giggling and playing footsie—"

"Playing footsie? And where was your footsie? Rubbing her pussy?"

They laugh.

"Hanna! Are you gonna let me tell the story or not?"

"Okay, fine, go."

"So, I guess she thought she was gonna find us naked or something cuz she storms into Emily's room and screams, 'Emily!' And Emily's like, 'mom what are you doing here you're supposed to be in the city.' And her mom's like, 'so that gives you permission to—I don't even want to think about what the two of you were doing!'"

"Oh my god!" Spencer freaks.

"This is better than anything on TV!"

"So, I say to her, 'Pam, I promise we were just studying.' And she says, 'that's Mrs. Fields to you.'"

"No fucking way! She said that!" Hanna clutches Spencer's arm even tighter.

"Yep. And I stormed off and Emily came after me."

"You fucked didn't you?"

"Hanna!" Spencer nudges her.

"Oh, we fucked all right. It was the best pissed at your parents fuck you could possibly imagine!"

We laugh so hard we're holding our bellies keeling over!

"Oh my god, I'm crying!" Hanna wipes tears from the corners of her eyes.

"So basically, if Pam," Spencer exaggerates her 'Pam', "thinks Emily is only going here to be with you then she'll definitely say no. But if she can convince her that it's all about getting into a good college she could say yes."

"Exactly."

"Well, hopefully Samara will be able to sway Pam and Wayne into a yes," Hanna jumps on the Pam and Wayne bandwagon. "Cuz I don't remember half of what she was saying to me, it was like I was under a spell listening to her Australian accent."

"I know right!" Spencer agrees.

"She has a couple of hours left before the deadline so let's hope Samara can use that accent to charm the pants off of Pam and Wayne."

We all laugh but inside, I'm really nervous for Emily…

Emily POV

"Emily, Samara, can you come into the living room please," my mom calls us over.

We sit down. I'm ringing my hands together I'm so nervous.

"Well, Emily, your mother and I have come to a decision."

My heart is pounding through my chest! Samara and I look at each other, both of us, unable to read my parents with a yes or a no. So we wait for what feels like an eternity for them to tell us their decision. I've already prepared myself for a no. Samara was a great sales girl but I just don't think it was enough.

"Emily," my mother begins, "we've looked over everything to see if we can realistically do this. We want nothing more than for you to have an amazing senior year and we just don't think—"

And there it is—a big fat no! Fuck!

"We just don't think you'll get that unless you go to Rosewood Prep."

Say what no?!

My head pops up! Did I hear her correctly?

"Well, aren't you going to say anything?"

I start crying! "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! This is for real! I can go!"

"Yes, Emmy, this is for real. You're going to Rosewood Prep," my father so calmly replies.

I leap to my feet and hug them with all my heart!

"Excuse me, I hate to break this incredible moment up but I do have to get Emily's paperwork back to Rosewood Prep before the deadline," Samara so eloquently interrupts.

"Absolutely. Her father and I filled out everything and wrote a check."

"I'll get it out of the study," my dad leaves the room.

"So Emily, you'll probably want to pack and be moved in tomorrow as school starts the day after."

My father comes back with the packet and the check, handing both to Samara.

"Mom, will you help me pack?"

"Sure, sweetheart."

But before Samara can leave my mother approaches her.

"Nice sales pitch by the way," she smiles.

"Thank you. I'm glad you approve," Samara smiles back.

"There's just one thing," she whispers something into Samara's ear and then she's gone. My father walks her to her car and back to Rosewood Prep she goes to get me enrolled by the deadline. But what did my mom say to her?

"Come on Emily, let's get you packed," she side hugs me and up the stairs we go.

While she's distracted sorting through my clothes I retreat to the bathroom pretending to pack up my toiletries but really I'm texting Maya the good news!
