Pale eyes stared through the window, watching the tiny drops of water form a miniature lake against the glass. The person sighed, sliding off the chair they once occupied. It was raining quite a lot recently. Which she found peculiar, since it hadn't rained in months; at least not like this.

Hinata walked towards her hospital bed, hopping in and draping the itchy covers over her cold form, a small yawn coming from her mouth. She turned to the pink lamp illuminating her room, and turned it off, stuffing her head into the pillows. Her mind immediately flashed with scenes of the stranger she had met earlier that day, and she cringed, still being able to feel the girl's grasp around her wrist.

"Run!" she had said. "Before he gets you!"

But Hinata had no idea as to what or whom the young female was talking about. "R-run...?" she had asked the delusional female. The redhead never answered her back, only rambling on about some lying tattoo.

Hinata blinked. Was there really something out there to get her? She sunk further into the sheets, her eyelids beginning to droop. Whatever it was, she was sure to notify her father of the matter in the morning. Though she hated the feeling of being weak, she wasn't ignorant. She knew she was too fragile in her current state to even dream of protecting herself from whatever was lurking there in the shadows. She inwardly nodded, agreeing with herself, as her eyes slowly closed.

Gaara slid a hand down his brown hair, his eyes glued straight ahead. Anticipation coursed through his veins and he was trying his best to suppress a smirk. He decided to visit the girl who had so kindly bestowed him his dilemma. He had even taken his time to buy her flowers, hoping she would enjoy the delightful surprise before he gave her the other gifts.

He turned a corner, the blood of Karin hitting his nose on full force. That creepy smug grin began to reform itself across his face, and his grip on the flowers tightened. However, his body paused when his senses became aware of a familiar chakra. And it wasn'tKarin's he instantly realized. He eyed a door near him. Curiosity peeked, he hesitantly walked towards it.

He gingerly put his head to the door, his eyebrows narrowing in concentration. A person's soft breathing could be heard on the other side. He contemplated on whether or not to enter the room, part of his mind still focused on the redhead. After standing there for a little more than three minutes, he finally decided to open the door, swiftly closing it behind him. Seeing a bed with someone in it, he moved towards the cot.

An unexplainable feeling washed over him as he came closer to the hospital bed, and he faintly grimaced. The occupant was none other than the weak Hyuuga herself; one of the people he ironically despised at the moment, since he apparently "loved" her, according to the four eyed girl. Just looking at her made him feel highly uncomfortable. A constant battle was brewing in his mind as he fought the urge to touch her hair, caress her cheek, and to suck on those delectable cute pink lips of hers. They were tucked away under the blankets, completely hidden from view, which caused him to be even more set on taking the two pieces of flesh in between his teeth.

He licked his own lips as he studied her sleeping being, and he mentally scolded himself. What was happening to him? He hated the unmistakable warmth flooding throughout his body. Honestly though, what disturbed him the most wasn't the fuzzy and lustful emotions that were trafficking through his brain; it was that his love had been chosen for him. He hadn't been given the chance to decide on who deserved his heart (which to him was only himself). Instead, he was forced into loving a complete stranger, and that didn't settle well with him at all.

I mean, who was she to automatically stake claim over his heart, mind, body, and soul? She was no one. A pathetic girl with nothing promising about her except for her title in the Hyuuga family bloodline. Yet, despite his thoughts, he still had this nagging feeling to just hold her and protect her from anything, even if it meant...him. He shook his head madly. He couldn't comprehend any of this.

He crossed to the other side of the bed, opposite to where she lay. He bit his lower lip, his expression stern. He was curious about this peculiar girl who held him mercilessly in her clutches. His right hand began to reach uneasily outwards towards the girl until he paused, thinking better of it and retreating the limb back. He leaned closer to the bed instead, and the intoxicating sweet smell of lavender that met with him made his eyes water. Mixed in with dried blood from one of her badges, he found the girl's scent delightfully delicious. His eyes sharpened as they rested upon her neck, and he felt his mouth abruptly become dry. Her pearly white skin was pale in comparison to the moonlight that shone through the room's window and appeared so soft that he could already feel himself biting tenderly against the flesh, leaving tiny bruises and teeth marks across her collarbone and throat.

His imagination suddenly went wild with images inappropriate for a thirteen year old, and he gasped, stepping back from the girl. She shouldn't be able to ever make him feel that way. He growled at his thoughts. He felt so conflicted. He didn't want to feel anything for this stranger dammit! And yet, he felt her hold on him only strengthen with every resistant feeling.

He pinched the bridge of his nose. He swore he was going to make that girl pay -

"Naruto - Kun..." he heard a voice murmur and his eyes shot to the girl below him. She suddenly giggled in her sleep. "Th-that tickles!" The Hyuuga started to smile, tossing in the sheets. "This is fun! I - I have never played this game before!"

If anyone had seen the incredulous look on the Sand Sibling's face when the words "Naruto - Kun"came from the ninja's lips, their first thought would have been "murder." His fists balled at his sides, and his teeth gritted together in fury. Why was she suddenly thinking about that damn blonde idiot? Wait, had she been dreaming of him all this time!? And just what the FUCK were they playing?! His left eye twitched, and he had to restrain himself from screaming out loud.

"B-but she's mine, right...? RIGHT?! She wouldn't dare leave me for that arrogant fool." he hissed, beginning to seethe. He became shocked at his choice of words. "She isn't mine..." he reminded himself, and a cold atmosphere seemed to engulf the room. "She isn't mine..." he repeated. An emotion he couldn't identify struck his chest and he breathed. He couldn't understand any of this!

A/N: Sorry for late update. I have been busy and severe case of writer's block. To make a long story short, there will be an update on Saturday and Sunday also. After Sunday, I don't know. But I will try not to be as long! ^_^ Thanks for being so patient Dotchi13 and not killing me! You are a really cool, understanding sis. :D Hope you liked this chapter. Any thing you want me to add or change, lemme know (only to Dotchi). Review and criticism is welcome. I do not own Naruto or its characters. Masashi Kishimoto does. Also Gaara may be a lil OOC in this fanfic. Just a heads up. Thank you and have a blessed day!
