I got up and followed the Doctor as he navigated through a seemingly endless maze of hallways.

"So, exactly how far is this room?"

"Not far" the Doctor assured me. "About a five minute walk from your bedroom."

"Geez. There are so many doors and turns. How do you not get lost in here?"

"The TARDIS can rearrange the location of rooms and shift hallways in order to take you where you need to go. Not to mention that I've spent over 800 years in here, so there's a great amount of area in here that I know simply on my own" the Doctor explained.

"Wait! The hallways shift? Like in Harry Potter?"

"Do not compare my wonderful TARDIS to that of a child's tale!"

"Sorry. Umm…just wondering, why hasn't the TARDIS shifted any of the hallways yet?"

"Oh, she's just showing off." I nodded. A moment later, the Doctor stopped in front of a room. "Well, here we are." The Doctor said as he opened the door. He then stood aside, allowing me to enter first. The Doctor walked in after me, shutting the door behind him. I stood there, taking in all of the sights before me. The walls were made of thin horizontal oak panels. The ceiling was painted with a mixture of ocean blue and deep violet swirls. There were also lots of little lights, which looked like twinkling stars, on the ceiling. There was a long dark grey couch pressed up against the wall opposite of the door and two smaller matching color love seats situated about five feet across. In between the couch and the love seats was a small Mahogany table with two black built-in cup holders. The room wasn't very big, but it was very majestic looking.

"Wow! It's absolutely beautiful in here. Breathtaking, in fact." I said as I walked through the room.

"Glad you like it!" the Doctor said, beaming. "This room just seems to give off the right vibe for fostering a telepathic connection."

"Oh, absolutely! So, just wondering, where are we going to be sitting?"

"I was thinking over on the couch, but we can push these two love seats together if you'd feel more comfortable with that."

"No. The couch is fine" I said, sitting down. The Doctor took a seat next to me. We were sitting about a foot apart from one another.

"Ok, Violet, I need you to close your eyes and take a deep breath" he instructed. "It's important to be as relaxed as possible for what we're about to do." I did exactly as I was told. "Good. Now, I'm going to place my fingers in your temples. You'll feel my presence enter your mind. It may feel a bit weird at first, but it shouldn't hurt at all. Nonetheless, I'm going to need to access all of your memories in order for this to work."

"All of them?"

"Yes," he responded. At that moment I began to panic. There were certain things that I, under no circumstances, wanted anyone else to see. "Violet, please relax. If there is something you truly do not want me to see, all you have to do is picture a door and I won't be able to see that memory. Although, it is important for you to know that the more memories I have access to, the stronger our bond will become. Ok?" I nodded and took a deep breath.

"Ok. Let's do this thing."
