A/N: So sorry about the late update. I didn't forget about this story. I was unfortunately afflicted by that nasty flu bug going around, plus working extra hours at my internship and then regular classes on top of that. So, I didn't have much time for writing. I'm hoping that things will calm down soon and I'll be on summer break in a little over a month, so I can update both this and my other story "Fractured" more frequently. Speaking of which, if you're a Gracepoint or Chasing Life fan, I recommend you check that story out. Now, without further ado, the next chapter.

I glared at the Doctor. "You can look at me like that all you want, but I'm not leaving" he stated.

"I did nothing wrong here!" I adamantly protested.

"I know you didn't."

"Then why are you treating me like I'm some sort of criminal?"

"I'm not. All I'm saying is to give your mother a chance." I folded my arms and stared him straight in the eye.

"Take me back!"

"What?"

"To Earth. Take me back to Earth."

"You mean to the same life that your mother gave you? Because she cares about you?" I groaned.

"You are absolutely impossible!" I stood up and stormed over to my door and opened it only to reveal River standing there. "You," I sneered. "Get the hell out of my way." She simply looked down at me, eyebrows raised and a smirk on her face.

"I take it your father explained everything to you?"

"You should know since apparently you were the one who was just eavesdropping."

"I was just making polite conversation, sweetie" she responded, with a smile on her face.

"Stop calling me sweetie, already!"

"Alright then, Violet, why don't we sit down and have a little chat?"

"Why don't we not?" I spitefully said, pushing my way past her.

"Violet!" the Doctor shouted. "Violet, you…"

"Let her go, sweetie. She'll be back."

"No, I won't" I called out over my shoulder as I hastily made my way down the hall, away from my room.

"Alright, no you won't. Off you go then" River said in a very nonchalant tone. I stop and spun around.

"This reverse psychology crap isn't going to work on me."

"Oh, of course not, dear. I wouldn't expect it to work on someone as smart and clever as you. You know, come to think of it, your father and I really could use some alone time." She turned towards the Doctor. "Fancy a trip?" The Doctor stood up and linked arms with River.

"Where to, Ms. Song?"

"Well, Doctor, I've always had an affinity for 1920's Paris."

"1920's Paris it is then. Allonsy!" I simply stood there dumbfounded.

"Wait. You're going on a trip, without me?" I asked, turning to face the Doctor. "But you promised me that our next trip would be to go and meet Poe."

"River's only staying for a short while, so she only has time for one trip" the Doctor informed me. "And considering you told me that you wanted nothing to do with her, I simply assumed you wouldn't care to join us. However, you're more than welcome to come along. Isn't that right, River?"

"Oh, absolutely sweetie!" She flashed him a flirtatious smile. I figured that, as much as I disliked River at the moment, being stuck with her was better than brooding around the TARDIS all by myself. Plus, Paris is a huge city, so it wasn't like I'd have to be in close confines with her or anything like that.

"Fine," I relented. "Just let me go change into something more appropriate." So I left. I ended up changing into a green ¾ sleeved cardigan, a red skirt landing just beneath my knees, a pair of black loafers and a black brimmed hat. I touched up my make-up and let my hair down. I then sprayed some Chanel perfume. Once I was finished, I walked out into the console room. River was standing over by the console wearing a ruby red, long sleeved dress and black stilettos with bright red lipstick and black mascara. The Doctor, big surprise, hadn't bothered to change.

"Why don't you ever bother to change?" I complained as I walked over to the console.

"Oh, Violet, let him have his fun" River said. I shook my head.

"He's going to stick out like a sore-thumb."

"Which is exactly what he wants. The Doctor is never one to conform. He..."

"Is standing right here" the Doctor interjected.

"We know, sweetie. Now, let's go." The Doctor shook his head and sighed, but ultimately complied.

"Hold on tight!" he said before pulling down a few levers. "Allonsy!"
