I awoke in a cot of some sort. "Huh, where am I?" I said, placing my hand on my throbbing head. I forced myself to sit up, despite the searing pain and looked around. I was in a small room with grey walls and a concrete floor. Directly in front of me was a door. Slowly, I got up and walked over to it and tried to open it. It was locked. Panic began to set in. Where was I? What was going on? What did these beings who captured me want with me? Thoughts began racing through my mind in rapid succession. What if it was the Vixtels kidnapping me to suck my blood like the Doctor warned me they wanted to do? I checked my pockets for the communication device that River had given me, but unfortunately came up empty. Of course they, whoever they were, took it. I was about to sit down on my bed when the door suddenly opened. I jumped.
"Sorry, didn't mean to startle you" a familiar voice said.
"Jack, what theā¦"
"No time to explain" he said, effectively cutting me off. "There's a rip in the fabric of space and time. Entities across the universe are being erased." Of course! That must have been why the Mawkingees suddenly went missing.
"So, why kidnap me and not River or the Doctor?" I asked. "What good am I?"
"What part of 'no time to explain' didn't you catch?" I glared at him until he began to talk. "Fine, I need the mind of a time lord child for my plan to work."
"And what exactly is your plan?" I nervously asked.
"You have a high amount of regeneration energy because you're still growing and developing. I need to gather some of that energy and shoot it into the tear in order to repair it. I chose to grab you and not the Doctor or River because what I'm about to do would force them into another regeneration. You, at the worst, would enter a healing coma, but you have enough excess that it wouldn't cause you to regenerate."
"And how do you know all this?"
"You know those lightning bolts you saw?" I nodded. "That was actually me remotely scanning all of you. The three of you showed a certain amount of regeneration energy, but yours far exceeded the Doctor's or Rivers. The conclusion I came up with after careful data analysis. Now, Violet, we need to hurry. Follow me." So I did. He lead me down a long corridor before opening a swinging set or doors leading to a large laboratory. There were glass tanks, computers and strange inventions that I couldn't even put a name to. "Sit here" he said gesturing to a chair. I gulped.
"Are there any other alternatives than using my regeneration energy?" He shook his head.
"Nope, and believe me I've searched." Nervously, I sat down in the metal chair. Jack put restraints around my wrists and a rubber mouth guard inside of my mouth. "In case you start to seize" he said. Now I was getting really nervous. He then put a helmet on my head with a bunch of wires that he hooked up to some sort of machine. "Now all I have to do is power this baby up." He was about to push a button when a voice cried out,
"Stop!"
