My head snapped up and over to the source of the sound. The Doctor and River were standing there.

"Jack, whatever you are about to do DON'T!" he said with that oncoming storm look in his eyes.

"But Doc, you don't understand. She's our only hope to saving the universe. See she has extra regeneration energy and…"

"I don't care! We'll find another way. But you are not using my daughter as some sort of energy sponge." In the meantime, River had come over and unhooked me and undid my restraints.

"You alright, sweetie?" she asked while the Doctor and Jack continued to argue. "Yeah, just a little shaken up." She smiled.

"Good. Now let's go back to the Tardis." I nodded and got up to follow her. "Sweetie, we're leaving" she called out to the Doctor over her shoulder.

"You go along. I'm not finished with this one yet." River sauntered over to Jack.

"If you ever think about using my daughter for one of your schemes again, I will find a way to put an end to your immortality. Understood?"

"Geez, you look hot when you're pissed" Jack said. River gave him an elbow to the nose causing it to bleed.

"Don't mess with me" she sneered before turning around. "Come on, sweetie. Let's go inside." So I followed her in. A minute later, the Doctor came strolling in with a satisfied grin on his face.

"That should show him" he muttered to himself.

"What about the tear in the universe? How are we going to fix that?" I asked.

"Simple. I burn up one of the many rooms in the Tardis. Convert the huron energy into regeneration energy and then emit it into the crack. That should heal things right up. Might cause a bit of turbulence though, so hold on tight.

"But Jack said he searched for every alternative and…"

"Jack doesn't have the mind of a time lord" the Doctor shot back.

"Ok, then. Not going to argue about this."

"Hold on. This may be a bit bumpy." Both River and I grabbed onto the railing by the console. Suddenly it felt as if there were an earthquake. The TARDIS shook and quivered. "She's fighting. She doesn't like this one bit."

"Does she realize what the alternative is?"

"Yes, Violet, she does. But a part of her is dying. It's a painful process."

"Isn't there a way you can deaden the pain?" He shook his head. "Hold on. I locked onto the squash courts. That should do it."

"We have squash courts in here?"

"Not anymore we don't."

"But I'm confused. I thought you said the TARIS was infinite. How can there only one squash court?"

"No time to explain." He furiously pressed a succession of buttons suddenly stopping the shaking of the TARIDS.

"Thank God," I muttered. "That shaking was giving me a headache."

"Still better than the alternative" River chimed in.

"That it is" I responded taking a seat by the console. The Doctor came over to me and sat down.

"You alright?" he asked.

"Yeah, now that I'm back here. Yeah, I am." He smiled.

"Good."

"So what happened to Jack?"

"Oh nothing much" the Doctor snidely said. "Let's just say he won't be pulling a stunt like that ever again."

"I'll make sure of that" River added.

"Thanks guys!"

"So, Violet, how about a nice relaxing trip to Space Florida?"
