Yang woke up to the one of worst hangovers she may have experienced, she groaned as sunlight burned her eyes even though they were already closed. She raised her arm up to block the light and took stock of her position from the feeling of a mattress. Good, at least she was already in a bed, she didn't think she could take it if she were sitting on some counter like most times she had stumbled home on a friend's arm after a huge party. She tried to get up but something warm and hard wrapped around her waist kept her from being able to heave herself up. She looked down at the arm and followed it to a shock of blonde hair and sleeping face of her current boyfriend, Jaune Arc.

The party had been her idea and she had dragged all of her friends along, despite their insistence that they were too busy or really were tired. She felt that they had gone too long without a proper sort of party or fun night out, and with Yang being well... Yang, that was unacceptable. So in a bout of typical I-do-what-I-want-and-you-are-coming-along-come-hell-or-high-water stubbornness, Yang had taken them (sans Ruby, as Yang was a responsible sister) to the club where she once had a fun time beating the crap out a guy called Junior and his two associates. Yang vaguely recalled persuading (*cough* forcing *cough*) Jaune to have enough drinks to make him buzzed and then Jaune, surprising everyone, cut loose.

He began to dance and dragged Yang to the dance floor and she barely held her own against the now drunk Jaune Arc, who despite being drunk, skillfully popped and locked like a pro. By the time he finished with the dance, there was a small ring around him of people, who applauded the blond knight, who laughed and stumbled into one of the chairs. Nora was bouncing around energetically and Ren had been swaying drunkenly on the spot having been given a strong dose of a particularly heavy brand of liquor courtesy of his best childhood friend. Pyrrha, Weiss, and Blake all had taken to sitting at the counter and drinking in sips from their glasses. And it was much much later when they had finally made their way back to Beacon and stumbling into their rooms.

Ruby had tried to separate Yang from Jaune (who was swaying sleepily) but she refused to let go and threw him into her bed before cuddling up beside him.

Ow, her head.

She blinked and immediately took stock of her clothing, aside from her usual cowboy/cowgirl jacket, boots, and sash/skirt, she was wearing her regular clothes. Jaune was clad in his orange shirt and jeans his hoodie hung over the edge of the bed and Yang realized she was in her bunk bed in RWBY's room. She gently pried Jaune's arms loose (despite how comfortable they were) while he mumbled and his brow furrowed as he shifted. Yang slid out of the bed and landed on the floor. Unfortunately, the landing felt as though it had rattled her brain and she held a hand to her forehead, hissing in pain. She stopped moving and tried to force the dull throb of her cranium to the back of her mind.

"Hurting?" A quiet voice asked.

She looked up and almost drooled as Jaune leaned over the side, eyes half-lidded and hair messy. His ocean eyes were soft and bright and gently jumped down and landed next to her.

"Yeah, stupid hangovers..." she mumbled lowering her hand, wondering if she could skip without a lecture from Weiss.

"Hold up then, I think I can help out a bit." he said as he pressed his forehead against her forehead and cupped her face.

A soft glow outlined Jaune as he bent his healing type of aura to flow between him and Yang. Yang sighed in delight as warmth washed over her entire body and the painful throb of her head ebbed away almost instantly.

"Better?" He asked straightening proudly his hands still against the sides of her face.

"Much!" Yang almost exclaimed, smirking.

Suddenly, Jaune made a yelping squeak as a pillow smacked him in the face and Wiess' irritable voice growled, "Shut up, I am having a killer headache!"

Before Jaune could offer to help, Yang clasped a hand over his mouth and whispered, "Oh no you don't Vomit Boy, the only person you get to do that with is me."

Breakfast was a somber affair (Or amusing if you were a certain firebrand).

Ren had slumped onto the table, not even bothering to try to stay awake and keeping his head cushioned by his scant breakfast. Nora was mumbling incoherently and stumbling about in an uncoordinated matter, whining about her head hurting. Blake was holding her cold glass of milk against her forehead and groaning. Weiss was massaging her forehead and sipping some herbal tea which she claimed helped dull the pain. Pyrrha was pale and dozing off on her arms, in too much pain to be hungry. Ruby was eating a cookie and staring at her dead-looking friends.

Fortunately she had skipped out on the party that had rendered most of her friend in debilitating pain due to the fact she was too young to enter a club.

"You know, I really think drinking alcohol is not gonna happen for me..." She mumbled.

"Oh no way! You are getting a proper seventeenth birthday, and that means a consumption of an unholy amount of alcohol little sis!" Yang said enthusiastically as she ate heartily.

"Yang, don't be too loud, everyone already has a headache." Jaune said quietly as he ate another egg off his plate, his expression calm.

"How in the hell are you not affected by the amount of alcohol you two drank!" Weiss accused angrily, "You both drank enough to put three heavy drinkers under the table each and then some!"

Yang smiled and scooted just a bit closer to Jaune before wrapping her arms around his neck, "We have a bit of a secret technique... Erases it like it was never there..."

"As long as it isn't sex or something akin to that, teach me it." Blake deadpanned, grimacing as her head throbbed again.

Jaune spluttered, "We didn't have sex!"

The lunchroom became quiet for a moment before bursting in laughter.

"Dammit Blake!" Jaune groaned as he facedesked.

Yang laughed as she pounded the table and took deep heaving breathes, "That was too funny!"

Weiss glared at her, a almost gloating smirk curling her lips, "Considering what you said at the end of our little beach trip, I thought that would annoy you..."

Jaune blinked cluelessly, "What'd she say?"

Yang glowered at her, "Weiss, I swear to Monty, you say one more word...and I will spread your drunk photos around the school and even email them to your father."

Weiss gasped and if she wasn't in an unholy amount of pain, probably would have drawn Myternaster, "You wouldn't dare!"

"CAN EVERYBODY SHUT THE HELL UP!" Ren roared irritably as his aura flared and his hand clenched, cracking the table.

The entire lunchroom was a silent as a grave as Ren promptly went back to sleeping in his breakfast.

Unfortunately for the first class was the ever self-praising hunter, Professor Port. Yang had dragged everyone - including the once-sleeping Lie Ren (who had clung to the table yelling that she will pay for this) - to the classroom with a smile. Jaune and Ruby hung back, both of them keeping a respectable distance from the train wreck that was happening. The group - almost crawling- made their way into the classroom, and sat at the seats at the back and promptly began to slouch and/or pass out. Jaune pulled Port aside and told him that they had been feeling under the weather and to try not to force them to participate today, to which Port drew himself up and nodded.

"Of course, no self-respecting teacher should ever force students who are willing to risk their health to listen my classes in further pain! Perish the thought!" He said proudly.

"Um, fantastic. Thank you professor, as you know, being the leader, I was tempted to take notes for them allowing them to rest, but they insisted that your riveting lectures couldn't be replicated by mere paper notes." Jaune lied smoothly (he really was picking up Yang's bad habits).

Port's mustache shifted as he grinned proudly.

Yang pecked Jaune on the cheek as he sat next to her.

The lecture was torture.

It was filled with even more details and bravado as Port made sure to put on his best for the students forcing themselves to attend. The regular students were groaning as Port launched into one of the most enthusiastic renditions of his adventures, Ren looked about ready to cry as he tried to keep the loud voice from rattling his brain. Nora was unashamedly snoring, a frown on her face. Pyrrha lids were drooping as she struggled to focus. Weiss was scrathing something on a piece of paper. Blake had begun massaging her temples as her pain grew more intense. As the torture dragged on, Weiss crumpled a note and flung it at Jaune while Port was facing the other end of the classroom.

He carefully smoothed it out silently, raising an eyebrow.

'How did you get rid of your hangover?'

Jaune blinked and gulped, before he could even scribble any sort of half-assed response, Yang crumpled the paper and stuffed it in her pocket.

"Nuh-uh, Jaune. You heard me. Only me." she whispered, throwing a smug look at the grumbling Wiess.

"But Yang! They are miserable, Ren honestly looks like he is contemplating seppuku!" He whispered urgently back.

Ren seemed to be fingering the blades on his stormflowers as they slid out from under his sleeves.

"They'll live." Yang replied confidently.

Jaune leaned over to Ruby, "Your sister is evil."

Ruby fixed Jaune with a bland and sardonic look, "Now, you figure that out?"

Jaune shrugged, "No, but I feel the need to say it."

Jaune hooked Ren's arm over his shoulder, "Come on buddy, you can do it."

Ren didn't even dignify that statement with a response as he was half-dragged to Obleck's classroom.

Teams JNPR and RWBY made their way to the next class, Jaune and Yang were receiving ugly glares from all of their friends.

Suddenly Weiss shouted, "I got it!"

Everyone paused and turned to stare at her.

Ruby asked the question hanging in the air after partner's exclamation, "Got what?"

Weiss stormed up to Yang, "He used his aura to heal your and his hangover didn't he!"

Yang smirked, "Yep! Thought you would've figured out sooner but then again your hangover must be affecting your thinking."

Jaune sighed, "Yang, come on. Can I help them now?"

Yang rubbed her chin, "I don't know... what do I get?"

Jaune eyes narrowed, and in a playful low voice, "Ms. Xiao Long, you seem to be implying that my special ability to heal people of their hangovers is a commodity of sorts. If that is the case, shouldn't I be the one receiving the benefits of charging people?"

Yang grinned, "Of course not! How preposterous! I am quite obviously the one who gets to dole out your ability."

Jaune raised an eyebrow, "You know I could just stop healing EVERYONE."

Yang pouted, "Even me?"

Jaune smirked, "Wellllll..."

Yang punched him in the shoulder lightly, "Vomit boy!"

In their playful squabbling, they completely forgot about their friends (who were currently in the middle of falling in pain comas).

Yang, Ruby, and Jaune were the only ones who were deemed worthy (or healthy enough) to attend Combat Class.

Accordingly, Ms. Goodwitch wasn't pleased.

"So you mean to tell me that for the team battles, only three people from the two teams showed up?" She asked her gazed burning holes through the three young students.

Jaune wanted to fidget but stood his ground with his hands clasped behind his back, Ruby stood next to him and Yang stood behind her.

Jaune forced himself to look her in the eyes, "Yes, if my teammates are not feeling up to fighting, I am going to force them. I am a team leader, and my loyalty is to my team, family, and friends first, then I come second. If you want to punish anyone, you can punish me."

Yang stepped up, "Actually -"

Jaune cut her off smoothly, "She thinks that maybe she could help bring them and I put my foot down."

Yang clenched her fist as she saw Jaune roll out of the way as one student slammed a spear at where he was standing. He pivoted as he stopped and slammed his shield into another student running in with a pair of trench knives, knocking the knife-wielder to the floor. Jaune blocked another jab with his sword and spun, gouging a line in the gouging a line in the spear-wielding student's armor. As the last student spun his short swords Jaune jumped back and retaliated with quicks flicking stabs at the student.

He was subbing in for his entire team since he still had to take the class. Ms. Goodwitch asked if he wanted to take on the opposing team one by one, but he had shrugged and said that he wanted to test out his crowd fighting skills. He ducked behind his shield to block a slash and with a flash of aura shot forward, literally barreling into the student who skidded off the platform on his back. Jaune panted and sheathed his sword as he rested his hands on his knees. Those students were really good and he had barely been able to take them all on. If his aura wasn't so absurdly large he probably been able to pull of a victory let alone stay standing.

"Very good, Mr. Arc, good to see you can handle a group while clearly being at a disadvantage." Glynda said briskly as he walked off the stage.

He plopped himself next to Yang on a bench and sighed, "That was tough! I forgot how hard it is to fight seamless groups, those guys seriously would have knocked my ass flat if it wasn't for my aura."

Yang frowned, "Now I wish I had at least let you help your team out with their hangovers..."

Jaune grinned, "Ha! I was right!"

Yang cuffed him over the head and he fell off the bench, "Shut up!"

Jaune rolled his shoulders ruefully as he sat down to dinner, "My shoulders are sore..." he complained.

Yang rolled her eyes and smirked, "Use your aura, Vomit Boy."

Jaune sighed as he began to glow slightly, "Yeah, I know, but still appreciation of a hard spar's pain does help increase it's effect."

"Really?" Ruby asked.

Jaune shrugged mildly, "Only if you believe in it."

Yang snorted, "So no?"

Jaune laughed.

"Good to see your all out of the Infirmary!" Jaune said as his team trudged into their dorm.

The glares he received were entirely unimpressed and accusing.

"Never again...Never ever again..." Ren muttered as he flopped into his bed.

"Ren, but what if Yang wants to have another party?" Nora pouted.

Ren almost growled, "No."

"But-"

"No."

Pyrrha sighed as she sat on her bed, "Next time, just heal us, okay Jaune? I don't think I can go through that again..."

Jaune smiled lightly, "Alright, but when Yang gets mad, I'll be telling her you guys forced yourselves on me."

Juane blinked for a moment and then flushed red, "Wait that came out wrong..."

Pyrrha flushed red, Ren groaned and stuffed a pillow over his head, and Nora blinked innocently and asked what 'came out wrong'.
