And now we begin the newest chapter of this little story. Note this one's going to be a LOT shorter than the last few chapters

Planet Terra: 1492
Location: Lake Gitche Gumee
All was quiet on the lake front. Not a single sound could be heard from either the wildlife or the native people in the area. It was a time to rest, very late in the night where very few creatures of the earth were out.
But this didn't stop creatures from other words from coming to the shore.
A swirling portal opened on the northeast side of the lake, anyone that may have seen it would have described its glow as an eerie ghoulish green. The Portal swirled as the sound of heavy footfalls began to come from it.
Stepping onto the soft sands of the lake shore; Scrapper Unit: 24 surveyed the area, scanning it with its visor. Another Scrapper unit came from within the portal and joined in the scanning.
The lead Scrapper drone raised his arm to his com and turned it on. "Lord Shockwave we have arrived at the target planet."
"Excellent, I shall send the other drones." Shockwave's voice crackled and fizzled out. The moisture in the atmosphere was causing interference. The com buzzed and screeched and it reconnected.
"That will be something I may have to work on incase the project goes south." Shockwave muttered before turning his attention back to his task. "Prepare to receive troops." Within a few seconds of him signing out the rest of the two Constructicon teams began to pour out from the Space Bridge portal; twelve in all they stood on the shore of the lake awaiting their instructions.
"The rocket is located deep out into the body of liquid; and is down at a very deep depth. This operation needs to be quick." Shockwave ordered.
The Constructicon troops stood at formation and began the combination process. Parts shifted and gears turned and soon two fully formed Devastators stood on the lake shore. The ground shifted and move as the giants took great strides toward the lake.
The natives in the area felt the ground shaking and began to cry out in fear and panic, the gods must be angry with them if the earth was shaking as such. Two large splashes echoed throughout the night as the Devastators entered the lake.
The two giants walked into the water while back on Cybertron Shockwave watched their readouts. If his face hadn't been destroyed he would have frowned. The temperature in the liquid was cold very cold.
While he had managed to fix a few of the flaws with the Devastators since the Kaon battle he hadn't been able to fix all of the flaws and the temperature and depth was beyond his calculations.
As the Devastators made their way downward into the lake they began to crush rock formations in their paths and cause some undersea cliffs to collapse. They were already slow and the water wasn't helping any of their matters. Their heads were still above the water slightly but soon they faded from view and the natives in the area felt the shaking earth stop.
They would have no idea that it wasn't angry gods that caused the shaking but something far sinister.
Soon the surface moved farther and farther away as they began to go deeper and deeper, eventually it began to get dark, pitch black except for the glowing lines of energon on their armor and their optics. Shockwave activated the coms, he was getting a weak signal from the coms but He could still see their progress on his screen, they were heading in a eastwardly direction, they needed to head west and soon.
"Constructicon Teams, turn and go west in five clicks" He ordered. The message was a bit garbled but the Devastators heard it well enough and began to turn west: Despite the freezing temperatures and sheer depth Shockwave confident that the operation would be a success.
But little did he know that there was another party listening
Earth's Moon: Roughly the same time.
Wheeljack stared at the screen; next to him on another screen looking at the screen was an Autobot with a white helm and an orange face and faceplate.
"So tell me Brainstorm you've dabbled in teleportation, is this what I think it is?" Wheeljack asked turning toward the face on the screen.
"It's a Space Bridge alright, going by the patterns; I've been trying to make one for eons." Brainstorm said staring at the screen. "But it appears to have some different coding I've been basing mine off the designs of the ancients, but this one appears to have been built from scratch."
Wheeljack turned and stared at the screen before turning back toward Brainstorm. "And that is why I called you; I'm a mad scientist not a wizard Brainstorm.
"Don't let Bulkhead hear you say that he'll flip."
Wheeljack rolled his optics. "Anyway I just needed the opinion before I charged head long down there and accidently blew up some organics."
"And what are you going to do now?" Brainstorm asked as Wheeljack sat in his pilot seat.
"Go down there, kick some aft and hopefully I won't kill anything."
"I'm starting to wonder about your influences in life." Brainstorm said rubbing his chin.
"Says the guy who ripped out part of his spark, made a fem and then had her sleep next to a reactor for a week." Wheeljack laughed and Brainstorms optics went wide.
"I thought we agreed not to mention that!" He hissed and Wheeljack laughed once again. Brainstorm sighed. "Well I'm going to be deleting the records of this so in case you cause an interplanetary war..again..I can deny everything." Brainstorm said and ended the call.
Wheeljack snickered and pushed the screen back into its proper place.
"It's go time!" He said with a laugh and activated the Jackhammers thrusters and began to rocket toward Earth. It didn't take him too long to arrive at the location of the energy output but there was no one there. Wheeljack's optics scanned the monitor showing the outside view and he stopped.
There were large depressions in the ground that led off into the lake. Wheeljack narrowed his optics and he performed a scan.
"Just as I thought, Cons." He said himself and began to fly out toward the lake, following his scanners that were showing the trail that the two Devastators were leaving.
Deep down in the lake
The two Devastators were in complete darkness now, sediment was being kicked up as they moved now and was blinding their vision. They were now around six hundred feet down.
Soon they began to detect faint energon readings, they continued their trek further into the grimy lake bottom until their optics illuminated the rocket that had failed to detonate, its front buried into the sediment. One of the Devastators bent down and grabbed the front while the other grabbed the end of it. With a large amount of effort they began to lift the rocket into their arms.
Up above on the surface Wheeljack got the energon reads and saw them moving. "Frag!" he swore as he put together what was going on. A rocket hadn't detonated!
Deep below the surface the Devastators began to ascend toward the surface with the rocket in their servos, their steps slowed, the trek there had been long but the trek back would be even longer.
But if Wheeljack had his way they wouldn't even be getting up there at all.
The Autobot began to grip his controls and pulled on one and pressed a button. A hatch opened up and a metallic whirring could be heard as several large canisters dropped from the inside of the ship. Large versions of the grenades that Wheeljack used, except there were used to primarily stun enemies: or armies of enemies as it were.
As the grenades traveled downward into the depths the twin Devastators were still hauling the rocket back toward the surface when one of the grenades impacted on the head of the lead bot.
There was a loud bang, followed by a flash or brilliant white light. Another Grenade struck the other Devastator and the remaining two hit the ground next to them.
The Devastators let out silent roars and they stumbled about trying to get their bearings. The one that had been carrying the rocket form the rear opened up its chest plates activating the rows of rockets.
Back on Cybertron Shockwave was frantic as he saw the Devastator drones begin to act wildly. He turned on the com links and tried to get into connect.
"Hold line Devastators!" He ordered but all he got as a crackling noise in response and he growled.
The Devastator that had opened the missile pod began to open fire wildly, most of the missiles where slowed by the water but one of them went floating toward the other Devastator who stumbled into it. A boom shook the water and sent a geyser rushing upward, Wheeljack turned his ship to avoid it.
The Devastator that had been hit by the missile lunged at his counterpart, half of his face blown off. It collided with the other one whilst roaring and sending his counterpart crashing to the ground.
Wheeljack and Shockwave booked looked at their monitors, while Wheeljack could only see that the energon signal had stopped Shockwave could see the rumble going on.
"Looks like my mission may have been a success." Wheeljack mused and then frowned. "But the cons may still be active."
His ship couldn't traverse underwater and laser fire was out of the question. He decided to wait it out and see what would happen.
The Devastators continued their brawl; the one with the damaged face was pummeling his counterpart into the ground, but the one with the missile pods grabbed his fist and twisted it, tearing it from the socket.
It stood up, kicking the other Devastator and then swung the arm back around clobbering in the head. The damaged Devastator stumbled back and the missile pod one threw itself into it and began to tear at its face.
The already damaged Devastator let out a roar of pain and punched his counterpart in the chest, sending it sprawling to the ground near the missile. The damaged one leapt up and brought itself down, toward his counterpart who grabbed the missile and swung it.
"NO!" Shockwave shouted from his lab.
"Slag." Wheeljack cursed as he saw the energon signal move once again, but before he could ready his weapons he saw it collide with something.
Down below the Devastator hit the damaged one with the missile and fired a rocket at the same time. Both impacts caused the warhead and the energon within, to react.
There was a flash of light, followed by a huge Shockwave, the Devastator that was damaged was blown back into a cliff face while the one that was holding the missile was pushed into the seafloor even further as above them part of another sea cliff collapsed burying both of them in an instant.
Wheeljack saw the energon push out rapidly like and explosion and at that point he knew one thing.
He was way too close to the lake!
Wheeljack pushed his ships engines to the limit Wheeljack pushed his ships engines to the limit as he tried to get away.
The shockwave began to come up faster and faster until it burst at the surface in a tower of water flew from the water. The blast from it rocked Wheeljack's ship as it shook he gripped the controls as he struggled to stay in the area, eventfully it subsided and he checked his radar. The Energon signal was gone.
"Well," he muttered. "That's one problem taken care of." He said with a sign and then he blinked.
Even though he had stopped whatever the plans were involving that rocket he now knew something even worse, someone on Cybertron had a Space Bridge, and he doubted it was the other Autobots.
Told you it was going to be short.
And BTW despite it being filler this will come back to haunt the Autobots and Decepticons..count on it.
