Megatron growled as he looked at his surroundings. The remains of his mighty warship were now lodged in some organic filth. He stood tall, or tired too as he wobbled a bit. Images flashed from his internal computer readout, showing that he had been low of power for years. Megatron growled angrily when he saw how long he had been offline. Five hundred stellar cycles rotting on this world! He stumbled toward the computer terminal and began to try and activate it.

The computer sputtered a little, and with a hiss it came to life. The screen was cracked all over and broken in the left hand corner but Megatron didn't care. The screen flickered as Megatron gave it a stern glare.

"I want a read out of the damage to my ship." He said in a low tone. "How long until we can get it flight worthy again."

The systems crackled and sparked, much to Megatron's anger, he bashed his fist onto the consul. The computer pinged to life and a damaged robotic tone droned out a few dreaded words.

"Damage to ship is immeasurable, systems disabled across ship." The monotone voice droned out.

Megatron let out a growl of anger and smashed his fist into the consul once again. Letting out a cry of rage he placed his arm near his back, one of his fusion cannons connected with a clank. Raising his arm he prepared to fire on the computer. With a weak fizzle the cannon sparked to life, only for its energy to die out just as fast.

"Curse this blasted tech!" Megatron bellowed with rage. He slammed the fusion cannon into the wall with a cry of rage and pain.

"I cannot stay here; this is not place for a ruler." He growled to himself.

Turning on his heel, Megatron gazed about the bridge angrily. As he surveyed the others lying on the bridge he turned back toward the computer with a frown.

"How much energon is left in the systems?" He asked.

"Unknown for rest of ship, but in bridge area there is enough to power five Cybertronians." Megatron turned and looked towards the other Decepticons. Normally he might have chosen Blackout just for sheer size. But he had no way of knowing if he would still be loyal.

He looked at Soundwave, who lay sprawled at his controls, before he turned back to the computer.

"Get Soundwave online first; and do it quickly!" He snapped.

The same medical beam that revived Megatron emerged from the wall. Megatron watched as it glowed brightly before it shot out a beam of energy toward Soundwave. Megatron waited silently as Soundwave's systems came back online.

Soundwave's visor flickered to life and he stumbled to his feet. An electronic moan sounded out as he shook his head.

"What has happened?" Soundwave droned in his monotone. Megatron suddenly lashed out; grabbing Soundwave by the neck and then slamming him into the wall.

"I will tell you what has happened Soundwave; you failed at one of the most basic tasks given to you!" Megatron slammed Soundwave into the wall a few more times.

"You were supposed to guard this ship, now look what has befallen us because of your incompetence!"

"Forgive me lord Megatron." Soundwave crooned. Megatron's grip on his voice box tightened.

"Forgiveness?" Megatron laughed before looking him in the visor. "The only reason you are not dead; is because you have some use to me!"

Megatron harshly threw Soundwave to the ground and stepped onto his back. Megatron slammed his foot down upon Soundwave's back. Letting out a moan; Soundwave looked back toward his leader.

"Thanks to you convincing me to not take Shockwave we're stranded!" He bellowed, slamming a fist into Soundwave's face.

Soundwave bowed his head and remained silent. He knew that anything he said would increase Megatron's wraith. Megatron snorted before he turned back toward the computer.

"Can we scan for energon?" He asked. The computer beeped for a few seconds before he got a reply back.

"Long range scanners were destroyed in crash; small catch is detected about 30 miles from here." Megatron and Soundwave stared at the broken read out; Soundwave walked forward and placed his hands onto the keys.

"Transfer spare energon into the systems of-" Soundwave was yanked away before he could fish his order.

"I want you to do this one Soundwave." Megatron growled. "You are going to repay your failure to me by bringing every single system back online."

"By yourself and yourself alone!" He bellowed. He threw Soundwave to the ground and turned his back on him. Soundwave stared toward Megatron and clenched his fist. He had been following Megatron for centuries and this is the thanks he got?

Stumbling to his feet, Soundwave looked at Megatron with utter disgust behind the mask. Megatron shot Soundwave a cold glare and then looked away once more. Soundwave stared at Megatron and then shook with anger.

He turned and stormed toward the back of the ship. Megatron waited for the sound of transformation and an engine fading off into the distance before turning. No doubt Soundwave would encounter some trouble actually getting out. As far as Megatron was concerned Soundwave had failed him. As such; he could do some hard work of his own.

With a sneer, he walked toward the computer. He looked up toward the ceiling, spotting many a crack in it. Light poured in from several points. Megatron jumped upwards and slammed his fist into the ceiling.

The ancient roof bucked and cracked more. With another yell, Megatron threw himself at it again. There was an almighty crash as the ceiling began to cave in. Megatron stepped aside and huffed in disappointment, back during the war the Nemesis had taken hits from cluster bombs stronger than his fists. Not it seemed that all he had to do was punch it to cause damage.

Light flooded into the room and Megatron hopped up. He grabbed the edges and crawled his way to the surface. The light of the sun glared in his optics, forcing to shield them momentarily. Once they had adjusted, Megatron looked at his surroundings.

The area was covered in snow and ice. Tall trees dotted the landscape while several animals had stopped to observe him. They were used to the humans intruding upon their homes. But the sliver giant was a new one for all of them. Megatron moved his optics from side to side, a growl escaped his lips. The Nemesis was buried under all of this organic filth and no doubt beyond repair.

Megatron let out a scream of anger and slammed his fist into the ground. All of the animals around him scattered off in a variety of directions.

"When I get back to Cybertron, I'm going to rip Shockwave in two!" He bellowed.

Fricksville, Two weeks later.

After a few days of figuring things out; Bra and Ed had fallen into a routine. Get up, go to school, and go to the library. They worked diligently and quietly, trying to keep their heads down to avoid trouble. Kat and Sophie had taken notice and were a bit concerned.

"Something seems a bit off with these two." Sophie observed as Ed walked past with a book cart.

"They probably feel like we're judging their every move." Kat said with a sigh. "I don't get why likes to act like she's judge and jury over there."

"I think it's her idea that a school is like a naval ship." Sophie said. Kat reached down and then pulled out the files gave them. She flipped through them once again with a sigh.

"Well, I think it's more the fear that they'll get into deeper trouble if they screw up." Kat said. Sophie slid the folders out of Kat's hands, before tossing them back under the counter.

"From what I understand; Bre's was self-defense. Which I agree with but not the way she did it." Sophie stated.

"Still it's a pretty hefty violation..." Kat said looking a bit nervous. Bre had been walking over and heard the two talking. With a scowl she did an about face and walked further into the stacks.

"At least they both run a nice ship." Sophie said with a smile. "Plus they at least have yet to ask about the children's section incident."

"Don't even, the last time you told it the helpers ran screaming out the door." Kat warned. Sophie just grinned meekly with a laugh.

Bre shoved her hands into her pockets as she walked through the stacks. She hated it when her past was brought up, she hadn't even hurt anyone. The bullies had been giving her an extremely rough time, but because she brought in the means to defend herself she got in trouble.

With a scowl, she grabbed a cart and walked off ti organize some more books. Bre hoped that she could get her mind off things. While she worked however, Kat and Sophie found themselves with another matter. Ed shuffled into the room, carrying a large stack of mail that he plopped onto the counter.

"Mail's here, is there anything else you need me to do?" Ed asked. Kat smiled warmly toward him.

"No Ed, everything's going fine right now." She said. "How about you go take a break, we just got some new books in."

"What kind of books?" Ed asked. Kat pulled out a slip of paper. She quickly jotted down the names and locations of the books before handing it to Ed. He looked at the paper and gave a simple shrug before he turned and walked away.

Kat and Sophie both shifted through the mail. There wasn't a lot of mail as all bills went to the town. However some mail still needed to be read by them. Most of the mail was usually donations or spam. There was one letter that was stamped to the both of them, from Bre and Ed's school. Sophie ripped it open and began reading through it.

"Ah, it says here that the midyear mentor trip's this weekend." She said. "But we've only had these two for less than two weeks."

"Well it is the middle of the year, where are the destination suggestions?" Kat asked.

As part of the work program, around the middle of the year the mentors and the students went on weekend trips. Before Ms. Carter came to the school, trips were whatever the mentor chose. However she wanted things to run differently and made sure that they followed her "suggestions."

"We've got five choices this year...but this time it's all camping." Sophie said with a raised eyebrow.

"So now we're getting told what to do on our trips." Kat rolled her eyes with a sigh. Sophie offered her the paper and Kat looked it over.

"Looks like our options are, Mount Rainier, Tipsoo Lake, Olympic, Ruby beach, or the Robert Memorial park." Kat said. Sophie leaned in and looked over the sheet with a chuckle.

"Well, what's our budget look like for this thing?" She asked Kat. Kat let out a sigh and shook her head.

"Not much, since they cut our finding down." Kat said, "I doubt we can do anything very big."

"Well, the Robert Park is only ten miles from here; just got some small equipment and we can go." Sophie said.

"We will probably need something all terrain and we could take them." Sophie looked toward Kat who gave a small shrug in response.

"Big question is would they want to do it?" Kat looked as Ed walked toward them, carrying a small stack of books. He placed them onto the desk and looked at Kat and Sophie.

"Do you guys want me to check these out, or should I have you guys do it?" He asked. Before he could finish, Sophie dashed forward and grabbed his shoulders.

"Hey Ed, how do you feel about going camping for a weekend?" She flashed him a grin. Ed stared like he had been just asked something ridiculous. He looked at Kat and then back to Sophie. He shrugged and titled his head.

"I guess, why do you ask?" He said.

"Well at the middle of the year we have to take our student helpers on a trip." Kat explained.

"You get to take us, or you have to take us." Ed asked cynically. Both Kat and Sophie turned toward each other.

"If it were up to us it wouldn't be camping." Sophie said under her breath. Kat rolled her eyes and looked at Ed.

"Two and a half days and three nights up in the mountains around here." Kat explained. "We just plan to take a trip and maybe bring back some samples for next month's theme."

"Samples of what?" Ed asked.

"Flowers, next month's theme is about nature in the mountains since it's almost spring." Kat explained.

"Okay, so you want to go out and collect samples?" Ed asked.

"Something like that and everyone else is doing it...the trip not the mountains." Sophie said with a nervous smile. Ed raised an eyebrow toward her before he slightly shrugged.

"Sure, when will it be?" Edwin asked.

"Well, typically the trip is at the end of this week; only problem is that we don't have a capable vehicle." Kat said. Unbeknownst to them, Bre had wandered back in. She looked around, listening to the group before she walked forward.

"My brother's servicing and fixing up some old park ranger vehicles." she said. "I'm pretty sure that he'll let us borrow one of them."

Kat, Sophie and Ed all jumped a little as Bre entered unannounced. All of them turned to look at Bre, Kat was smiling.

"Sure, but it will have to seat five people." She said.

"Five, there's only four of us here." pointed out Bre. Sophie let out a chuckle and lightly elbowed her coworker.

"Did you actually think she was going to leave her husband behind?" She laughed while Kat's cheeks turned bright red. Ed and Bre both smirked lightly.

"Yeah well, if you had a significant other you'd know how it feels." Kat sight light heartily. The others laughed a bit in response. Kat rolled her eyes with a sigh.

It wasn't long after that for Bre and Ed's shift to end. The two of them punched out, and walked out of the library to the curb. The two of them stared blankly out at the streets.

Ed turned to look at Bre and sighed. Bre shot him a look before she looked back toward the road. Ed looked down, before he turned his head to face Bre once again. Bre looked back at him again and frowned.

"What are you looking at?" She asked sharply.

"N-nothing, you just seem a bit upset." Ed said. Despite his appearance and demeanor; Ed was one to look out for his friends when necessary.

"You would be too if all you're known for is one incident of self-defense." Bre huffed. She got a glare toward Ed and looked him right in the eyes coldly.

"I don't need anyone bringing up my past, and I want it to stay in the past." She said. She turned back toward the road, eyeing it up and down. Ed looked at her and then toward the road again.

"If it's something with bullying I know how that feels." He said. Bre sneered a little before she whipped her head around.

"That's what everyone said at my old school, and none of them raised a finger to help." She snapped. "If you want to prove something, act on it don't just talk."

Once again a silence fell over the two, but it was broken quickly by the loud humming of an engine. A bright red wrecker with hazard stripes pulled up to the curb. Trailing behind it was a wrecked Pontiac Solstice. Ed and Bre noticed it's now scratched and burnt sliver paint job as well as the added spoiler.

The wrecker's window rolled down as a man stuck his head out. He looked like an older, male version of Bre. He wore dirty overalls, stained with every car fluid under the sun. A trucker hat sat on his head, along with the goatee. Anthony owned a salvage yard, he and some other workers either broke down wrecks or fixed them.

"Hey sis, sorry I wasn't able to get all fancy." He said with a wry grin. "But I had to collect this wreck."

Bre let out a laugh and looked toward her brother.

"So, is that my new car?" She asked. Her brother laughed before he looked toward Ed. Ed looked sorrowfully toward Anthony who took notice.

"Everything okay there buddy?" He asked. Bre turned and looked toward Ed who gave a meek shrug.

"I'm fine, my rides going to be here soon." He said. Anthony and Bre exchanged looks before sharing a shrug. Bre walked around the cab of the truck and then began to climb into it.

"You have a good day." Anthony said with a grin. He honked the horn and the wrecker pulled away while dragging its load. Ed sighed as he watched the truck fade into the distance. Bre may have a sour attitude, but at least she had a loving family member. He looked, seeing Max's car a few blocks away. That wasn't to say that Max wasn't a good friend, but deep down. Ed wished that he had a family member like Anthony.

Within the cab of the Wrecker, both Bre and Anthony were both silent. Anthony turned and looked toward his sister.

"Nice friend you have there." He said with a grin. Bre rolled her eyes and shot her brother another look. In response he gave her a pointed look. Bre's face fell and she looked away.

"Don't give me that look." She said.

"How about this one?" He said, before making his eyes go bug out and his mouth curled inward. Bre rolled her eyes while Anthony laughed. They once again drove in silence until Bre broke it.

"Hey bro, the librarians have to take us on this trip that all the other helpers are going-" She began.

"Yeah, they do that every year." He said. "It's made mandatory by the school these days."

"Well it's camping this year, and we need a vehicle..." She trailed off but her brother held up his hand.

"So you're hoping that I have a vehicle left in storage that I can loan ya?" He asked. Bre nodded and Anthony rubbed his chin. He looked up and then back at his sister.

"Would you guys settle for a 2008 Wrangler?" He said. Bre looked up at him and blinked.

"I thought that thing was wrecked beyond repair?"

"It was it took a bit of elbow grease, some new parts, some blood loss from sharp metal." Anthony chuckled before seeings his sister's blank face.

"It should be available, is Orion going with you?" He asked. Bre looked ahead, remembering the trucker that had gotten her to school.

"Yeah; I think he is" She said.

"His truck's getting serviced tomorrow, I'll tell him to bring Kat along."

Bre smiled and leaned back in her seat. Despite what some might think, having a brother like Anthony had its advantages. She just wished that she had his confidence about the town.

As Anthony drove up the mountainside, Bre gazed out at the valley. She looked toward where Sophie said they were going camping. The feeling of a deep pit appeared in her stomach, she didn't know why but she felt that something was wrong.

Crash site of the Nemesis.

"Soundwave, what is the status of our power supply?" Megatron's voice boomed. Soundwave had found himself worked to the bone over the past couple weeks. The Nemesis was ripped apart and frozen in thick ice and snow. Said ice and snow Soundwave had to get rid of by himself, as well as search for energon.

The only comfort was Megatron had decided to bring Barricade back online as he was tired of Soundwave's "low work ethic." This however did nothing to keep Barricade from complaining.

"Is it just me Soundwave, or is Megatron a bit crankier than usual." Barricade asked. Soundwave held his hand back as he worked on the engines. Barricade reached into a box and handed him a tool.

"Honestly I don't remember Megatron ever acting like this." Barricade said nervously.

"We must follow the will of Lord Megatron." Soundwave said. Barricade sighed whilst shaking his head.

"Right, I forgot that asking Megatron's almost right hand bot would be futile." Barricade huffed as he kicked the toolbox. "I just want to get off this mud ball and smash some Autobots."

Soundwave silently shook his head and kept working. Megatron may have been giving him a lot of grief but he was still the leader. A fact he was about to remind the two as he walked in.

"Soundwave, when I ask for a report on the power supply, I expect a report!" He boomed.

"Forgive us Megatron, but it is a rather long process." Barricade began. Megatron growled and back handed Barricade. Letting out a barely audible yep, Barricade slammed into the wall.

"I will tell you this only once Barricade, do not speak unless spoken too." Megatron said coldly. He turned his attention back toward Soundwave, who was pretending he wasn't bothered by Megatron's actions.

"Well Soundwave, do you have anything to say?" Megatron asked.

"The damage to engines is extensive, it will take me a while to even get them halfway decent." Soundwave explained. Megatron huffed and leaned down toward him.

"I don't have to remind you that this is all your fault Soundwave." Soundwave's frame shook with anger. "I want this ship operational as our base, and if necessary you will die in the process."

Soundwave's energon lines ran cold at the statement. He looked toward Megatron who gave back a sneer in return.

"You failed the Decepticons with your absent mildness Soundwave, and you're going to pay for it." Megatron chuckled darkly as he stood up and walked out of the room, leaving Soundwave speechless. Barricade walked over, rubbing his cranium with a moan.

"I gotta know when did he get temperamental?" He asked. All Soundwave could do was watch where Megatron had gone. Silently he returned to his work, for one of the first times in his life he feared the wraith of Megatron.

Megatron however was unfazed with whatever Soundwave was thinking. He was more concerned about his army, and his victory over the Autobots. He stormed the ragged and torn up halls of the Nemesis, glaring at every sign of damage. If Soundwave hadn't convinced him to leave Shockwave on Cybertron, they wouldn't be stuck on this planet. They would be back on Cybertron with the war over and victory theirs.

As he stormed through the ship, his optics wandered to an area where a small platoon of Vehcions lay. The energon storage depot had remained closed since the ship crashed. However Megatron noticed that the door was slightly ajar, as if someone had forced it open. Megatron's head tilted to the side before he stormed toward the door.

Muttering under his breath about the organic creatures and how they got everywhere, Megatron forced the rest of the door open. The glow of the energon cubes illuminated the room within. It also revealed the bot standing inside with energon cubes connected to his body.

"Starscream!" Megatron barked.

Starscream jumped and twisted himself around. He placed himself into a battle ready post and aimed his blasters toward Megatron. Starscream looked toward Megatron and gazed at him in shock.

"L-Lord Megatron, I thought I was the only Decepticon active." Starscream stood tall before kneeling. His attempt toward warding off Megatron's anger was meet with Megatron back handing him.

"How are you awake?" Megatron barked. "I gave no order to wake you from stasis!"

"Well why wouldn't you, surly you still need an air commander." Starscream said. He was meet with a sneer from Megatron.

"Right now energon is in short supply Starscream, and right now we have no idea what we're up against." Megatron lied. In truth he didn't trust Starscream, as such he was willing to just let Starscream rust in stasis. He grabbed the seeker by the wing and squeezed it.

"How are you online right now and why are you stealing my energon?" He said in a low growl. Starscream was trying to stutter a response but Megatron slightly increased the grip on his wing. The seeker let out a yell of pain, causing Megatron to step back.

Starscream gingerly held his wing, which was now bent downward. Starscream ripped it, glaring toward Megatron who gave a dark frown in return.

"I had...a timer so that way I could wake up, and join you in victory Lord Megatron." Starscream said with a chuckle. Megatron crossed his arms and raised his optic.

"Really, because last time I checked Starscream, none of us had the time to even set one." Megatron sneered. "But even then, only such things exist in stasis pods."

"Well master, I can assure that such devices are built directly into a seekers memory core." Starscream said with a small smile. Megatron sneered once more and then shrugged.

"Alright Starscream, I accept your story but I still have one question-" Megatron said, before he grabbed Starscreams throat. "Why are you stealing my energon?"

Starscream gasped for air and gripped Megatron's arm. Megatron responded by tightening his grip on him.

"Forgive me master, but none of the systems were online in this part of the ship; I needed to refuel!" Starscream said. Megatron dropped him with an angry growl.

"Right now I need warriors Starscream, so remember that as the only reason you're not a stain on the ground." Megatron said in a low growl. Starscream looked at Megatron and rubbed his heck. He bowed his head submissively, if nothing else than to hide his scowl.

"You are to work with Soundwave and Barricade in restoring the power." Megatron said. "Unless you'd rather go digging for energon."

Starscream grunted. He wasn't built for labor he was a warrior. But Megatron's icy optics glared into his spark. With a sigh he got up and left the room, leaving Megatron alone once more. The Decepticon leader wasn't interested in anymore more than exploring Starscreams quarters.

Quickly, Megatron made his way through the decks of the Nemesis. He had located Starscreams quarters in the very middle of the ship, so that way if he pulled anything there was no easy way out. Soon he approached the door, which had been forced open to the loss of power.

Megatron looked down, seeing drag marks along the deck. He peered into the room, his optics lighting up the darkness. The room as in shambles thanks to the crash but what Megatron cared about was what sat in the left corner. A stasis pod, no doubt dragged away from where the rest were located.

Megatron stepped in and looked it over; its cover had been busted open by Starscream. But what really interested Megatron was the timing device on the outside. It had been bashed, no doubt by a falling object in the crash. While normally the timer was computer controlled, there was a manual option if the ships computers were out.

He had no doubt now that Starscream had anticipated a crash of some kind. But how would he know. Unless he had been working with Shockwave. But was he still working with him? Megatron knew full well that currently communications were spotty at best, but should Starscream be allied with Shockwave then he could get a message through.

For once Megatron was worried. If Starscream was in on Shockwave's plan, who knew how many more could be as well. With this in mind he knew that he had to try and weed out those loyal to him, and those who might be loyal to Shockwave. As well as remembering what he learned as a gladiator.

Never make the first move, let your opponent strike first before aiming for his weak spot.

Three days later.

"Do we have everything packed?" Sophie asked.

Both Bre and Ed let out twin yelps as they jumped. Orion had brought the Jeep down from the salvage yard as they were now loading it in the parking lot. Bre and Ed had all of their stuff loaded and were waiting for Kat to finish.

"Stop scaring us like that, no wonder they call you "library ninja." Ed said. Sophie smirked while shrugging. They were all dressed in light jackets sweatpants and either hiking shoes or boots.

"Is Kat done yet?" Bre asked once she calmed down. "I'm getting bored."

"Well Kat's an avid hiker; as such she lives for these trips so...no." Sophie said.

"What does she have all of her stuff all labeled in a drawer?" Bre asked. Sophie chuckled as Kat walked out of the library, carrying various boxes and bags.

"It's more like a walk in closet then filing cabinet," She said, while opening the jeeps trunk. ", and not everything is labeled."

Bre and Ed stared as Kat began loading the boxes into the back of the jeep; both looked at each other then back toward Kat.

"Are we going for two days or a whole week?" Ed asked.

"Well no, but it's good it always be prepared; besides they got some good fish up there." Kat said.

"As long as we don't attract frogs, we're good." said Sophie. Bre and Ed exchanged looks as Kat finished loading up the Jeep.

"Alright, is everyone ready to go?" She asked. Sophie, Bre, and Ed all nodded simultaneously. Orion's arm stuck out of the truck and flashed a "thumbs up." The group piled themselves into the Jeep and drove off down the road.

In less than an hour, they were out of the city and in the country side. Bre looked out the window, seeing the city far below them as they climbed higher and higher. Sitting next to her was Sophie, while Ed lay in the backseat.

"So, is this your first time roughing it?" Sophie said, snapping Bre out of her thoughts.

"What? No, I've been camping a few times before." Bre said.

"Did you camp in the mountains?" Orion asked. Bre shook her head and the three adults chuckled.

"Well you're in for a treat, what about you Ed?" Orion continued. Ed's head snapped up and he looked toward Orion.

"I've never really been camping." He said, looking aside. "At all, closest was the time my family stopped at a campground to see a friend." The three adults exchanged glances before looking back toward Ed.

"Well, looks like this trip's going to be one for the ages then." Kat said with a smile.

"As long as no one gets poison oak, or decides to bring it back and let the little kids touch it we're good." Sophie said. Both Bre and Ed stared at Sophie with bulging eyes.

"I-Is that why we're not allowed in that section?" Bre asked.

"No, the actual event was a lot worse." Sophie said.

"That's all we're going to say about it." Kat said quickly. Sophie gave a mild shrug in response while Kat rolled her eyes. They drove in silence for a while, until Orion made a turn off the highway. They soon pulled past an arched sign that bore the parks name. Under it was a smaller sign, which looked hastily screwed on, announcing that camping was allowed.

They soon pulled off into a parking lot, and Kat threw open her door.

"Alright everyone out, we've got a bit of hiking ahead of us so let's got unpacked." Kat said eagerly. She clapped her hands together and threw open the other doors before walking back.

"She's joking right?" Bre asked. "I had Bro get this vehicle for off-roading purposes."

"They don't allow those types of vehicles on the trail anymore." said Kat. As Bre walked over, Kat pulled out a box and then looked at Bre.

"Hey...do you think you can carry these?"

Bre gave an unsure nod; before finding her arms full of the box. Kat smiled before adding another, smaller box to the mix. She did this a few more times until everyone had at least three things to carry, as well as their backpacks.

"Alright everyone, it'll only take us ten minutes." An enthusiastic Kat declared happily. She boldly walked forward and Orion leaned back toward Edwin and Bre.

"Strap yourselves in, its fifteen minutes, but it's ten to her." Bre and Ed felt their stomachs drop as they hiked down one of the trails. It didn't take then as long as Orion anticipated, only thirteen minutes instead of fifteen. But once they got to the site, Bre and Ed were speechless.

They found themselves staring out and over a Valley, with several hills leading down into it. They were overlooking a huge expanse of trees and wildlife. A River flowed through the middle of it all, only marred by the rusty railroad tracks and bridge.

"This is just. Wow...it's." Ed's mind raced to find the words. Kat, Sophie and Orion smiled at the two teens faraway looks.

"This is where we usually camp every year." Orion said, taking his wife's hand with a smile. Kat looked back, before looking out toward the valley.

"It's breath taking!"Bre exclaimed. She began to walk closer toward the edge, setting the stuff down in the process. She looked out and over the horizon in awe and wonder. Sophie looked toward Kat as Ed followed Bre's example. The two Librarians looked toward each other, giving off a fist bump.

After a few minutes of staring out and observing, Sophie tapped both Bre and Ed on the shoulder.

"Hey guys, if we're going to sleep, we're going to need a place to do it." She said, causing the two of them to jump in alarm.

"Okay, I am now convinced that you are just a straight up ninja!" Shouted Ed. With a smirk, Sophie turned on her heel and walked away. The two teens looked toward each other before walking back toward the campsite.

Bre stopped however, the sick feeling still in the pit of her stomach. She looked toward the valley once more before walking back to the site with a deep sigh. While she couldn't shake the negative feeling, she hoped the trip would still be a memorable one.

In less than twenty minutes, the campsite had been set up. Orion had just finished constructing the fire pit and turned toward Kat.

"We're going to need some fire wood if we want to get this started." He said. Kat nodded and walked over to Bre and Ed, who were sitting in their tents.

"Come on boy and girls, we gotta go get some wood." She called.

"Girls?" Bre asked while she crawled out of her tent.

"What am I chopped liver?" Sophie leaned up against the tent, causing Bre to jump in shock. Sophie and Kat chuckled at Bre's frightened yelp. Bre herself rolled her eyes as Ed walked over.

"So I guess we're hiking back down the trail?" He asked. Kat shook her head and gestured toward the valley.

"This place just had a huge windstorm; there's got to be plenty of branches all over." She said. Bre and Ed looked past her and then back at Kat.

"No offense but it looks like it will take an hour just to get down there." Bre said.

"It will actually take only ten minutes; there's a trail not twenty feet from here that leads down." Kat looked to the left and began walking, motioning for the others to follow her.

"Boy does she know her way around." Muttered Ed. Sophie walked up next to him, elbowing him slightly.

"What do you expect; this is where Orion took her on one of their first dates." Explained Sophie as they began to approach the trail. "Kat pretty much knows every single bit of this area."

As they descended toward the valley, they didn't notice large depression in the mountain. Kat had noticed it before and had taken care, but it had increased rapidly in recent months.

As Kat was explaining how to be careful, her boot stepped onto the edge. Before anyone knew what was happening, that stretch of the hill suddenly caved in. Kat barely got the chance to yell as the hill swallowed her up. She fell a good seven feet, before she hit the dirt and soil that had fallen with her. It cushioned her fall, but she still felt like she hit something hard.

Sophie, Bre and Ed were speechless for a few seconds, before Sophie made a dash for the edge of the hole.

"Kat, are you okay?" She shouted into the cavern. Kat was in shock but alive, she raised her arm and waved. Sophie took a few deep breathes as Bre and Ed ran over.

"What do we do...is she alright?" Ed asked. Bre herself was also in shock, but also because of something else, it appeared that Kat had fallen on something that looked like a giant man!

Sophie hadn't taken notice to this detail and turned toward Bre and Ed. She pointed back toward the campsite, hyperventilating a little.

"Go and get Orion, now!" She said. The two teens decided that there was no arguing and took off running back toward the campsite. Sophie looked back down as Kat began to climb off what she had fallen on. All Sophie could do was bow her head and pray.

How long had it been since he had seen anything? He remembered pain as the ship fell from orbit. As it began breaking apart, Jazz grabbed Bumblebee, Himself and Wheeljack and used his grappling hook to tie them all down.

He didn't know where Ironhide was, or where anyone was. Only that he had just felt something striking his head. After so long, his optics came online and looked around the room. Organic matter was covering himself, as well as the entire room. A quick diagnostic showed that there was none inside him, and organic matter was easy to wash off.

What he did see was surprising. There was an organic creature, similar in build to the average cybertronian. She seemed hurt; he looked upward and saw another one like her, her head bowed.

Did the other organic thing their friend had gone offline? His systems groaned and rumbled as he moved his arms and legs. Both of the organics turned to look at him as he got to his knees. He stretched his body back, how long had he been sleeping?

He looked up and then down at the two organics who seemed shocked, and fearful. The one in front of him scooted back. As more of his systems came online, he smiled, hoping that the organics would see he wasn't someone to fear.

"Hello there; my name's Hound." He said warmly.

The two organics held their ears and screamed.
